Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of descriptive writing skills through the Concept Sentence model assisted by flashcards in fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Unggulan Bontomanai, Gowa Regency. This study is a Class Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, each with three meetings. The research procedures included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 28 fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Unggulan Bontomanai, Gowa Regency. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results showed that in the first cycle, only 13 of the 28 students, or 46%, individually completed the writing, meeting the minimum passing grade (KKM), or falling into the very low category. The classical criteria were not met, as the average score was 66%. However, in Cycle II, 28 students, or 100%, met the Minimum Competency (KKM) and the classical criteria were met, with an average score of 94%, which is in the very high category. Based on the research results above, it can be concluded that the descriptive writing skills of fourth-grade students at Unggulan Bontomanai Elementary School, Gowa Regency, have improved through the application of the Concept Sentence model with the aid of flashcards.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca aksara Lontara melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning pada siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Perumputan Kabupaten Bantaeng. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang terdiri atas dua siklus, di mana setiap siklus dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan dan satu kali tes evaluasi. Prosedur penelitian meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Perumputan Kabupaten Bantaeng yang berjumlah 20 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I siswa memperoleh nilai tertinggi 85, nilai terendah 65, dengan rata-rata 74,50 dan ketuntasan klasikal 60%. Pada siklus II nilai tertinggi meningkat menjadi 95, nilai terendah 75, dengan rata-rata 84,75 dan ketuntasan klasikal 90%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca aksara Lontara siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Perumputan Kabupaten Bantaeng.

Department of Elementary School Teacher Education. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, supervised by Andi Adam and Ummu Khaltsum. The main problem of this research is whether audio-visual media has an effect on students' learning outcomes in the material of identifying elements of children's stories in grade V of SDN 22/12 Salebbo, Pangkep Regency. This research aims to determine the effect of the use of audio-visual media on students' learning outcomes in the material of identifying elements of children's stories in grade V of SDN 22/12 Salebbo, Pangkep Regency. This research is a quantitative one. It uses a quasi-experimental design. In this experiment, there are two groups: the experimental group, given audiovisual treatment, and the control group, given no treatment. The subjects were 19 fifth-grade students at SDN 22/12 Salebbo, Pangkep Regency. The results of the study showed that based on the pretest of the experimental and control class learning outcomes, the average pretest value of the experimental group was 58.75 and the average pretest value in the control group was 43.18. After being given treatment to the control class and the experimental class, then given a posttest of the learning outcomes in the experimental class and the control class, the data obtained were the average value of the experimental class of 81.87 and the average value of the control class of 50.09. The average value of the experimental class was greater than the average value of the control class with a difference of 31.78. This proves that the use of audio-visual media has an effect on student learning outcomes in the material of identifying elements of children's stories in class V SDN 22/12 Salebbo, Pangkep Regency. Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using the VN application on the motivation to learn poetry in class X students at SMA Negeri 7 North Luwu. This type of research is Pre-Experimental Design (non design). The population in this study were students of SMA Negeri 7 North Luwu with selected samples from class X.1 of SMA Negeri 7 North Luwu. The assessment instruments used in this research are observation, documentation, and observation results test sheets. The data collection technique is by using documentation and tests. The analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of this research show that the use of the VN application can be used as a medium in learning Indonesian, especially reading and musicalizing poetry because it can provide efficiency in learning and effectiveness for students in demonstrating reading and musicalizing poetry, thereby increasing student learning motivation. This was obtained from processing the hypothesis. 2.378 is greater than the critical value of t (2.032), meaning that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, the results of the hypothesis test show that using the VN application in editing videos of reading and musicalizing poetry significantly increases students' learning motivation compared to using the default smartphone editing application at SMA Negeri 7 North Luwu.
