Abstract

Language policy is one issue that should be highlighted because language policy is one of the most important things to develop in a country. In language, the main goal to be achieved is the successful delivery of our goals and objectives to the listener. Thus, Language policy is concerned with a highly complex issue; therefore, language policy as a separate field of study requires an interdisciplinary approach drawing upon the knowledge and tools of several academic disciplines such as applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, sociology, anthropology, and political theory. This paper aimed to suggest for Indonesia English Education based Japan and South Korea practice in ELT.

Abstract

Pengadaan teknologi Perkembangan teknologi informasi sanagt memudahkan bagi semua kalangan untuk berbisnis menggunakan teknologi. Pandemi Covid-19 yang masih berlnagsung sampai sekarang hamper semua pebisnis baik yang baru mulai ataupun yang sudah berbisnis beralih menggunakan teknologi sebagai media atau fasilitas untuk memasarkan produk dari yang bisnis kecil, rumahan sampai ke skala besar. Dengan adanya peluang bisnis ini menggunakan teknologi, Madu Romang mencoba menggunakan media social yaitu WhatsApp sebagai media jualan produk Madu Romang. Dengan demikian saya selaku ketua pengusul dan tim berencana mengajukan pembuatan suatu produk pemasaran dengan system online berbasi website ecommerce supaya penjualan Madu Romang bisa lebih meningkat. Sistem menjemen menggunakan website ecommerce adalah salah system pemasaran yang sangat bagus digunakan untuk pemasaran produk. Sebenarnya ada banyak alat manajemen media sosial satu alaur di pasar.pemilik usaha harus pintar memilih satu yang tepat bisa seperti misi yang mustahil,terutama jika Anda punya banyak profil yang akan dikelola. Tetapi, ada beberapa alat yang lebih menyolok dari yang lainnya, karena fitur-fitur dan harganya yang terjangkau. Wordpress dalam hal ini bisa menjadi website berbasi ecommerce untuk jadikan sebagi media pemasaran/penjualan produk Madu Romang. Wordpress berbasis website ecommerce ini sangat simple digunakan, karena merupakan sebuah situs layanan manajemen konten yang menyediakan layanan media daring yang juga. Terhubungdengan berbagai situs jejaring sosial lainnya,seperti: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, MySpace, youtube dan sebagainya. Realisasi program ini dimulai dari sosialisasi dan edukasi kepada pemegang pemilik usaha/mitra Home Industry serta stake holder lainnya yang ada di Tamaona Kecematan Tombolo Pao Kabupaten Gowa masyarakat. Layanan ini membantu perusahaan untuk menggunakan media sosial berupa situs yang dapat digunakan untuk meluncurkan kampanye pemasaran, mengidentifikasi dan menambah khalayak, dan menyampaikan pesan yang ditargetkan di beberapa saluran media.selanjutnya pengusul akan memfasilitasi ecommerce serta pengembangannya dalam wujud suatu website yang siap guna untuk memasarkan produk UKM terkhusus Madu Romang sesuai dengan tujuan dalam jangka tertentu. Kemudian dalam implementasinya, pelaku usaha memanfaatkan produk dengan monitoring, pendampingan masukan dan bantuan dari tim. Program ini diakhiri dengan evaluasi keberlangsungan, keaktifan dan kebermanfaatan website ecommerce tersebut yang telah dibangun

Abstract

This study intends to analyze the effect of arm muscle strength, eye-hand coordination, and concentration on badminton long serving ability in students. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample of this study at elementary school YPS Lawewu Sorowako amounted to 16 students. We measured arm strength using a hand-grip dynamometer and evaluated eye-hand coordination through a ball wall-toss test. We analyzed the data using SPSS and AMOS for path analysis. The results indicated that there was a weak positive effect between arm muscle strength and long serve. This effect was not statistically significant because the significance value (0.566) was much greater than 0.05. There was a weak positive effect between eye-hand coordination and long serve. This effect was not statistically significant because the significance value (0.423) was greater than 0.05. There was a weak negative effect between concentration and long service. The effect is not statistically significant because the significance value (0.212) is greater than 0.05. Additionally, there is no significant effect of both variables on long service. Both variables have a significance value > 0.05. Concentration has a negative effect (-0.417). Hand-eye coordination has a weak positive effect (0.152). The conclusion is that there is a weak positive effect between arm muscle strength, hand-eye coordination, and badminton long service. There is a weak negative effect of concentration on badminton long service performance. Next, there is no significant effect of arm muscle strength or hand-eye coordination through concentration on the badminton long service ability of Elementary School extracurricular participants.

Abstract

Reading critically empowers students' learning for justice, equality and coherence in their lives and in society as a whole. Unfortunately, student teachers and faculty members continue to struggle with enhancing their critical reading and skills. Therefore, it is essential to conduct a formative assessment of critical reading instructors and the curriculum. This study identifies the lecturers' perceptions of the concept of a critical reading course and assesses whether the learning outcomes of critical reading meet the critical reading dimension and the heutagogy principle. Employing qualitative methods, a comprehensive understanding of the lecturers' understanding of critical reading and its implementation in the classroom was acquired. In this study, the sample consisted of four instructors of critical reading courses who were reqruited using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was based on an inductive, constant comparative method through an initial reading of the interview transcripts and documents, apparent themes were identified and coded, and categories of language use were determined. It was discovered that they struggled to define the concepts of critical reading and had no specific strategies for teaching this course. Critical reading's primary objective is not empowerment. These results were supported by the analysis of the course's syllabus, which revealed that none of the social levels of critical reading proficiency were developed in this class. In addition, critical reading is viewed solely as a cognitive skill and has not yet reached the critical dimension. Thus, it is of the utmost importance to replace and revise learning outcomes.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu keterampilan membaca pemahaman masih rendah dengan nilai yang diperoleh siswa masih di bawah 70 atau tidak mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) yang diterapkan yaitu 70, sehingga penulis menggunakan Strategi Directed Reading Thingking Activity. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang menggunakan desain "One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh Siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 28 orang. Sampel penelitian yaitu Siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Andi Tonro Kota Makassar yang berjumlah 28 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, pemberian tes dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dalam penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa, hal ini dapat dilihat pada hasil penelitian pre-test dan post-test dimana hasil tabel distribusi t dengan taraf signifikan ∂ = 0,05 dan d.b = N − 1 = 28 – 1 = 27 maka diperoleh t 0,05 = 1,70. Setelah diperoleh t_hiting= 2,100 dan t_Tabel = 1,70 maka diperoleh t_hiting > t_tabel atau 2,100 > 1,70. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, berarti penggunaan Strategi Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa Kelas IV SD Inpres Andi Tonro Kota Makassar

Abstract

This study examines how the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) strategy enhances students' abilities in descriptive writing. This study utilized a pre-experimental research design featuring a one-group pre-test and post-test approach, involving a total of 21 participants. The main tool for data collection was a writing test that evaluated five key components: organization, punctuation, grammar, vocabulary, and content. The findings revealed that the average score before the test was 65.65, which falls into the poor category, whereas the average score after the test rose to 81.67, placing it in the good category. The pre-test exhibited a standard deviation of 4.37, while the post-test demonstrated a standard deviation of 5.68. The analysis conducted using a paired t-test yielded a t-value of 5.09, surpassing the critical t-table value of 2.021 at a significance level of 0.05, thereby indicating a statistically significant enhancement in students’ writing performance. The results indicate that the TTW strategy serves as a potent instructional method that boosts student engagement and fosters the growth of writing abilities. Consequently, it is advisable for educators to integrate the TTW strategy as an alternative approach in writing instruction to enhance student engagement in text creation and elevate their overall writing skills.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between stunting and the Human Development Index (HDI) in West Sulawesi Province, especially in six districts during the 2019-2023 period. Stunting as a chronic health problem affects the quality of human resources and regional development. Data includes stunting indicators, Age Spesific Death Rate (ASDR) mean years schooling (MYS), and gross regional domestic product (GRDP) combined with HDI as the dependent variable. A quantitative approach was used with descriptive analysis and Spearman correlation test using SPSS version 29.The research results show that stunting has a significant relationship with HDI in six districts of West Sulawesi Province. The high prevalence of stunting has been proven to reduce life expectancy, hinder educational attainment, and affect GRDP. Districts with lower stunting prevalence show higher HDI, highlighting the importance of health and education interventions in improving the quality of human resources in these regions. Abstract

The Inclusive Entrepreneur School Program is an innovative approach to education that integrates entrepreneurial values into an inclusive education system to develop independent, creative, and collaborative students. This community service activity aimed to disseminate this concept to all school elements at the Sitti Zaenab Tamzil Foundation in Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi. The activity took place on August 1, 2025, and was attended by 124 participants, including teachers, parents, and students. The activity method included participatory planning, implementation through interactive presentations and group discussions, and evaluation based on participant feedback and reflection. The results of the activity indicated a positive response from all participants, with the emergence of collaborative initiatives to develop school-based entrepreneurship activities. This dissemination provided an initial contribution to building synergy among school stakeholders and served as an important stepping stone towards the implementation of inclusive and sustainable contextual education.

Abstract

The integration of technology into education is increasingly vital, yet evidence regarding its effectiveness in specific learning contexts remains limited. This study addresses that gap by examining the impact of Moodle as a Learning Management System (LMS) on students’ English learning outcomes in a boarding school setting. A quasi-experimental pretest–post-test design was employed with 70 students divided equally into experimental and control groups. The experimental group was taught through Moodle LMS, while the control group received instruction via conventional lectures. Data were collected through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation, and analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results revealed improvement in both groups, but the experimental group achieved significantly higher post-test scores, as confirmed by t-test analyses (p < 0.01). These findings demonstrate that Moodle LMS not only enhances academic performance but also promotes greater engagement, active participation, and access to structured learning resources. The study underscores the pedagogical potential of Moodle, particularly within boarding school environments, where students benefit from continuous, technology-supported interaction. The research contributes to growing evidence on the role of LMS platforms in fostering 21st-century learning and recommends their broader implementation to strengthen English language instruction and digital literacy skills.

Abstract

Identification of the problem is that students are less focused on learning to understand the content of the reading. This research aims to describe the application of the Whole Language approach in improving students' reading skills in class IV Indonesian language lessons at SD Negeri 40 Lumpangan, Paj'ukukang District, Bantaeng Regency. This type of research is class action research (Class Action Research) which consists of two cycles where each cycle is carried out in four meetings. The focus of this research is 1) Reading comprehension skills and 2) Use of the Whole Language approach in class IV of SD Negeri 40 Lumpangan, Paj'ukukang District, Bantaeng Regency. Research procedures include planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The research subjects were 20 class IV students. The collected data was analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of this research are that there is an increase in student learning activities from cycle I to cycle II, student learning outcomes have increased, namely the average score of student learning outcomes in cycle I is 63, increasing in cycle II to 83. Students' reading comprehension and learning completion has also increased, where in cycle I, 8 (40%) students achieved learning completeness, while in cycle II 20 (100%) students achieved learning completeness and classical learning completion was achieved. This means that learning completeness in cycle II was achieved classically because the number of students who completed it was more than 80%. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the reading comprehension skills of class IV of SD Negeri 40 Lumpangan, Paj'ukukang District, Bantaeng Regency through the application of the Whole Language approach have increased.
