Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of violent content in video games related to situational factors and personal factors consisting of gender, age, aggression motivation, and aggressive personality and whether it influences aggressive behavior based on the General Aggression Model (GAM). This study has used quantitative and qualitative methods with a sampling technique that is random-stratified-proportional with the target being high school students in Batam city. In the quantitative method, as many as 400 respondents were obtained while in the qualitative method there were 30 respondents. The data analysis method used begins with a data quality test, namely the outlier test, validity test, and reliability test, then the regression test consists of the normality test, F test, T test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, R and R2 test. The results of this study have shown that in the quantitative method the motivational factors of aggression and aggressive personality affect aggressive behavior while the results obtained from the qualitative method only that motivational factors of aggression influence aggressive behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to overcome the problems faced by users in conducting price searches for goods that are inconsistent due to the influence of various sources. Research activities were carried out over a period of 6 months. The method used in the implementation of this research is observation and analysis; and waterfall method. The system that was built started from the beginning through the data obtained, and the system design includes display design, diagrams of how the system works and how the user works, writing source code and implementing the system, the search method used in the system is a breadth first search. a technique that is widely adapted by the system. The result is a system that is built in accordance with the goals and benefits expected by the user and the implementation of the price comparison of goods in a web environment is ready to be implemented and has been tried by the users themselves. Information search algorithm techniques affects the information obtained, not all methods produce the same information; and the results obtained from the breadth first search technique affect the logic provided to the data parsing algorithm, so that the quality of information is also affected.

Abstract

Positive and Negative Impacts of Information Ethics in Social Media: A Qualitative Study with Literature Study Method - Social media is a platform that facilitates online interaction between one person and another person or group. In our digital age, where individuals have made this platform a daily necessity that aids them in carrying out, learning new things, and strengthening interpersonal ties, this media is crucial. This research demonstrates how information ethics in social media can increase people's sense of responsibility and knowledge. Everyone must use social media responsibly, and any information that has been disseminated carries risks. Information ethics regulations already have certain rules to address related issues.

Abstract

Sistem informasi pendukung usaha kecil menengah berbasis web dapat memudahkan pelaku usaha dalam mengelola toko online mereka yang dibangun dalam beberapa platfrom Ecommerce, contohnya Tokopedia ataupun Shopee, dimana pelaku usaha dapat dengan mudah mengelola penjualan dan pemasokan produk yang tergeneralisasi pada satu sistem. Metode Lean Canvas digunakan untuk mengetahui kelemahan dan kelebihan sistem yang akan dirancang serta metode waterfall digunakan agar meminimalisir kesalahan langkah dalam proses perancangan sistem. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa sistem yang dapat diakses oleh pengusaha online secara internet sehingga dapat membantu pengusaha toko online mengelola usahanya kapan saja dan dimana saja tanpa keterbatasan tempat maupun waktu.

Abstract

Sistem informasi pelayanan order pada restoran berbasis web mobile dapat memudahkan proses antar pengunjung dan pemilik restoran dalam terjadinya sebuah transaksi. Pengunjung dapat langsung memilih dan memesan menu yang diinginkan saat duduk dimeja, tidak perlu menunggu pelayan mendatangi meja maupun menuju antrian pada meja kasir. Metode waterfall digunakan agar dapat mengurangi kesalahan yang terjadi saat pengembangan sistem, dimana melakukannya secara bertahap dan berurutan. Hasil dari penelitian ini merupakan sistem yang dapat diakses pelanggan, kasir, dan dapur sehingga dapat membantu mengurangi tingkat human error dan meringankan pekerjaan dari restoran dan agar lebih efektif.

Abstract

Old Village is a group of houses that functioned as a neighborhood where the original residents of the city of Batam lived before 1970 when Batam was built, which contains historical, local culture and religious values. The city of Batam has a history that is quite unique, when the city of Batam was growing, the original residents were like being eliminated and set in several different areas, the location of the residents of Batam was also mentioned as Old Village, for example Old Village Bengkong Laut. Bengkong Laut Old Village is very much bricked and has different and unique stories. Batam residents is also not familiar with the Old Village in Batam. The purpose of this research is to introduce Old Village to the public using a photobook. This photobook contains a collection of information about Old Village such as traditions, activities, food and the atmosphere of the place. In the process of designing a photobook, the author will use the Adobe Photoshop CC 2020 application to design photoshop. The author uses interview data collection techniques, location observations and also image documentation. The result of the implementation of this research is a printed photobook with a size of 20x20cm which contains photos for the introduction of the Old Village tradition. With this photobook, it is hoped that the people of Batam will know more about its history and add insight to the history of Old Village in Batam.

Abstract

In the development of cloud technology, it has many advantages compared to conventional systems. Cloud Technology is an online-based data storage and data sharing service that relies on the internet to organize and manage data. The solution to the problem of implementing a cloud based infrastructure in Batam is using the NDLC (Network Development Life Cycle) method which includes the stages of analysis, implementation, monitoring, simulation, design, and management. Abstract

Batam City is a city that is engaged in industry, therefore many tourists visit. The fast culinary business in Batam City is very developed, because with a strategic location and rich in marine products. Business in the culinary field in Batam City takes various forms, in terms of place and the creativity of the UMKM. So that business competition in the culinary field is increasing, one of which is Street Culinary in Sekupang District, Batam, which is a business engaged in the culinary field. Street Culinary sells a variety of regional cuisine, with a strategic location and affordable prices. This activity aims to increase market share and provide information to the public about Street Culinary in Sekupang District, Batam. The final result of this research is a Photobook to promote the Foodcourt culinary business in Sekupang District, Batam. This photobook design uses Adobe InDesign 2020 Software and uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle method which consists of 6 stages, namely concept, design, collecting material, assembly, testing, distribution. Therefore, the design and development of the Street Culinary Photobook in Sekupang Batam District is used as a medium of information to introduce its culinary.

Abstract

Senggarang Island is a small village in the city of Tanjung Pinang which is inhabited by residents with a majority ethnic Chinese. Senggarang is known as a place where the gods gather. On this island there are various tourist objects, such as temples, and statues that are unique and have their own charm. However, there are still many people who do not know the beauty of natural tourism on Senggarang Island. The purpose of this study is to promote and introduce several tourist attractions on Senggarang Island by using photobooks as an introduction medium. This photobook contains a collection of information about tourist attractions such as a description of the place, the facilities available, and the atmosphere around Senggarang Island. In the process of designing the photobook, the application used by the author is Adobe Lightroom to edit photos and Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 to design the photobook. Data collection methods used in this activity are observation, image documentation, and interviews. The result of the implementation of this research is a printed photobook with a size of 20x20cm which contains an introduction to Senggarang Island. With the design of this photobook, it is hoped that it can increase visitors and increase public knowledge about Senggarang Island.
