Abstract

Penelitian tentang uji fitokimia dan aktivitas antibakteri daun Merung (Coptosapelta tomentosa) terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Propionibacterium acne telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini berupa uji fitokimia dan uji aktivitas antibakteri dengan metode kertas cakram dari ekstrak kasar, fraksi metanol dan fraksi etil asetat pada daun merung (Coptosapelta tomemtosa). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak kasar, fraksi metanol dan fraksi etil asetat mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder dan pada uji aktivitas antibakteri dari ekstrak kasar, fraksi metanol dan fraksi etil asetat menunjukkan adanya aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dengan range MIC masing-masing sebesar 2,5% dengan diameter zona hambat 20 mm dan pada bakteri Propionibacterium acne tidak memiliki aktivitas antibakteri.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian analisis variasi nutrisi ammonium sulfat dan urea dalam pembuatan bioetanol dari kulit pisang kepok (Musa paradisiaca. L) dengan fermentasi menggunakan saccharomyces cerevisiae. Pada  penelitian ini hasil  menunjukkan  konsentrasi  ammonium  sulfat  0,5 %, 1 % dan 1,5 % yang optimum masing-masing konsentrasi menghasilkan kadar etanol yaitu sebesar 7,799 %, 5,195 % dan 3,121 % sedangkan pada konsetrasi urea yang optimum masing-masing konsentrasi menghasilkan kadar etanol yaitu sebesar 21,409 %, 16,809 % dan 22,439 %. Waktu fermentasi optimum pada ammonium sulfat adalah 7 hari sedangkan waktu fermentasi pada urea yang optimum adalah 5 hari. Berdasarkan uji statistik koefisien determinasi R2 dan dilanjutkan dengan koefisien korelasi terdapat hubungan waktu fermentasi dan penambahan nutrisi ammonium sulfat terhadap kadar etanol dan waktu fermentasi dan penambahan nutrisi urea terhadap kadar etanol. Kata Kunci : Bioetanol, Pisang Kepok (Musa paradisiaca. Abstract

The research about analytical performance optimization to the determination of fluorine’s concentration inside coal using visible spectrophotometry method has been done. The optimum result of the obtain for measurement, some parameters of measurements were validated. Parameters of validation used in this research are accuracy, precision, linearity, LOD, LOQ and robustness of the method. The results of research obtained, the accuracy was 99,34% described in percent of the recovery, obtained precision are 0,4309% described in percent of RSD with linearity equation was y = 10,79x + 16,77. The result of measurement is very good which described by the value of LOD 0,0638 ppm and LOQ 0,2127 ppm. The conclusion of results are the determination of fluorine's concentration inside coal using visible spectrophotometry method have good precision and accuracy which can be accounted.

Abstract

Durian Lai (Durio kutejensis) merupakan buah lokal Kalimantan. Sejauh ini biji buah lai belum dimanfaatkan hanya dibuang begitu saja sebagai limbah, kandungan karbohidrat yang tinggi mencapai 47,6 %. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi amonium sulfat dan waktu fermentasi terbaik terhadap kadar bioetanol yang dihasilkan. Proses hidrolisisi pati dilakukan secara  enzimatis melalui tahap liquifikasi dan sakarifikasi dengan menggunakan enzim alfa-amilase dan glukolase yang akan mengkonversi pati menjadi glukosa. Glukosa hasil hidrolisis ditambahkan amonium sulfat sebagai sumber nutrisi dengan variasi 0,1 %; 0,3 % dan 0,5 % (b/v) kemudian difermentasi menggunakan jamur Saccharomyces cereviceaea dengan variasi waktu 4, 5 dan 6 hari. Pemurnian bioetanol dilakukan dengan proses destilasi. Analisa kadar etanol menggunakan kromatografi gas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan nutrisi amonium sulfat yang paling optimum adalah 0,3 % (b/v) dan waktu fermentasi yang optimum adalah 6 hari dengan kadar etanol sebesar 9,403 %. Kata Kunci : Biji lai (Durio kutejensis), ammonium sulfat, fermentasi, bioetanol

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menseleksi bakteri halofilik penghasil lipase dan pengaruh ion logam terhadap ekstrak kasar lipase. Seleksi bakteri penghasil lipase ditunjukkan dengan adanya pendar jingga di sekitar koloni di bawah sinar UV pada media NA yang mengandung minyak zaitun dan Rhodamine-B. Isolat yang memiliki aktivitas lipase tertinggi kemudian diproduksi lipasenya dan di uji aktivitasnya. Hasil penelitian diperoleh waktu produksi lipase pada 72 jam. Penambahan CaCl2 meningkatkan aktivitas lipase dengan aktivitas relatif sebesar 115% sedangkan, KCl, BaCl2 dan MgCl2 menurunkan aktivitas lipase dengan aktivitas relatif berturut-turut sebesar 78,82, 96,5 dan 80% terhadap aktivitas lipase tanpa penambahan ion logam. Penambahan FeCl3 menyebabkan ekstrak kasar lipase terdenaturasi.

Abstract

Ethanol production from starch of muli banana peel by enzymatic hydrolysis with the addition of gelatin as a fermentation nutrient for Saccharomyces cerevisiae was done. This research consists of hydrolysis, fermentation, distillation and testing carried out by Gas Chromatography. This research was conducted to determine the optimal time and the optimum nutrient concentration, that can be seen that the optimum time at 7 days and the optimum nutrient concenctration in addition of 2% nutrient with ethanol concentration of 36.344%.

Abstract

Antihyperglycemic activity of jambu mawar leaves extract (Syzygium jambos (L.) Aston) to lower blood glucose levels in male rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) induced by alloxant has been conducted. Simplicia jambu mawar leaves (Syzygium jambos (L.) Aston) were macerated using ethanol 96%. The testing activity of antihyperglycemic done experimentally et the laboratory with each dose of 374.5 mg/Kg and 749 mg/Kg given orally on the male rabbits in the induction alloxant. Measurement of blood glucose levels was done on the (7, 14, 21, 28 and 32) by using a glucometer and glucose test strips. The ethanol extracts of jambu mawar leaves (Syzygium jambos (L.) Aston) revealed the effect by decreasely the blood glucose levels in male rabbits induced by alloxant. Keywords: Jambu Mawar leaves (Syzygium jambos (L.) Abstract

The researched about the correlation level of metal lead (Pb) towards the protein content of mussel shells (Mactra violacea) had been done. This research was taken in the coastal water of Tarakan, North Borneo. The research aimed to know concentration of ion (Pb) and protein content of mussel shells (Mactra violacea) based on the size and location of the different sampling. Afterwards, the lead (Pb) metal and protein were correlated using Least Square method. Analysis of concentration of Pb ion was performed by using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrofotometry) and analysis of protein content using Kjehdal method. From this research, it was found the concentration of Pb ion on point 1 is by an average of 0.7220 mg/L, on point 2 is by an average of 0.7433 mg/L and point 3 is by an average of 0.9208 mg/L. It is also found the content protein of mussel shells (Mactra violacea) on point 1 is by an average of 19,9883%, on point 2 it was found the average of protein content of 21.7714% and point 3 by an average 22.8664%. The correlation concentration of Ion Pb towards protein conten on kerang kepah (Mactra violacea) symbolized as r = 0.8448.

Abstract

Phytochemical screening from extract ethanol of tembelekan root has been carried out, its showed the presence of alkaloids, phenol, sapponin and flavonoids. Antihyperglikemik test from ethanol extract of tembelekan root had been done through experiment in laboratory, each doses 13,95, 27,90 and 55,80 mg/Kg BW was given orally at male mice to know the effect of antihyperglikemik toward the decrease of glukosa level in male mice's blood. The measurement at glucose level inside male mice's blood was done on 0th, 8th and 18th day by using glucometer and glucotest strip devices. giving the variation of doses etanol extract of tembelekan root, its showed at doses 55,80 mg/Kg BW could decrease the glucose level until 61,57%. From this research showed the result of  decrease of glucose level because the effect from ethanol extract of tembelekan root that distributed inside the blood.  Keywords : Tembelekan root, antihyperglikemic, blood glucose, mice, alloxan

Abstract

Fermentation has been used by traditional societies as far back as 6000 AD involving microorganisms such as yeast and bacteria that can convert carbohydrates into alcohol and carbon dioxide. This process is essential for the production of bioethanol produced from agricultural residues. Fermentation testing can be done using raw materials such as tubers, sticky rice, sago, water hyacinth and cassava to produce bioethanol as an alternative renewable energy. Methods This research utilizes 8 articles from national and international literature studies in the last 10 years that focus on the fermentation process to produce bioethanol. Research and development of efficient fermentation techniques is urgently needed to increase the yield and sustainability of bioethanol production, thus becoming an environmentally friendly solution in meeting global energy needs.
