Abstract

This research is a qualitative research which used descriptive method and used mimesis approach, to see how the social equation in the novel The glowing hearts by Prasetyo Wiwid, the research was done by analyzing the novel by describing the structure of the novel, classifying the deviated event by each character and finally made the conclusion.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' critical thinking skills on projectile motion at SMA Srijaya Negara. The research method used is the quantitative descriptive method. The test was given to 101 students of classes X IPA. In general, the results of the research show that the critical thinking skills of SMA Srijaya Negara in X grade on projectile motion are still very low. Observing and judging observation is the highest sub-indicator of critical thinking skills in three classes: X IPA 1 (74,29%), X IPA 2 (45,45%), and X IPA 3 (48,48%). Meanwhile, the lowest is focusing on a question at X IPA 1 (2,86%) and X IPA 2 (0,00%). At X IPA 3, the lowest are deducing and judging deductions (0,00%) and making and judging value judgments (0,00%). Because of this, students' critical thinking skills still need to be improved. Students must be more active in their learning, and teachers must encourage students to think critically.

Abstract

Electronic learning resources are needed in accordance with the demands of basic competencies in learning and can be used by teachers and students as a means of independent learning at home or at school. This study aims to develop an electronic module on the material of vibration, waves and sound that is valid and practical. The Rowntree development model used consists of three stages, namely planning, development and evaluation stages. At the evaluation stage, the researcher used the Tessmer evaluation stage, which consisted of the self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation stages. The research subjects were students of class VIII.2 SMP N 1 Prabumulih. The research instrument used was observation, student needs questionnaire, expert validation questionnaire and student perception questionnaire. The data analysis technique used walkthrough and questionnaire methods. The resulting product is an electronic module of vibration, wave and sound material using the Flip PDF Professional program. The results of the research show: 1) the development of an electronic module based on critical thinking skills has been carried out through a development procedure that includes 3 stages. 2) the acquisition of the research results obtained content validation of 4.50 (strong valid), content validation of critical thinking skills of 4.61 (strong valid), design validation of 4.72 (strong valid), and language validation of 4 .50 (strong valid). So, the total average of the results of the content validation assessment, the content of critical thinking skills, design, and language is 4.60 including the "strong valid" category. 3) To produce a practical electronic module with research results, the average results of the assessment of student responses in the one-to-one evaluation stage is 4.55 with the "Extremely useful" category and the average results of the assessment of student responses in the questionnaire are the small group evaluation stage is 4.60 with the "Extremely useful" category. The electronic module based on critical thinking on vibration, waves and sound material that has been developed is suitable for use as teaching material for class VIII junior high school students.

Abstract

AbstractThe main problem that had been studied was not confident enough of visual disability student in the Outstanding School (SLBN A), Bandung. The problem of the RA’s subject was influenced by irrational thinking. Model of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) with the theory of A-B-C-D to exercise the way of thinking for subject to be more rational as well as homework assignment through against anxiety of subject was the intervention that had been used to strengthen the self-confidence.The objectives of this research is to assess the REBT model through the theory of A-B-C-D and homework assignment to strengthen the self-confidence of the subject. The research methodology was based on qualitative approach with action research design, which aims to solve the RA’s problem. In natural condition, researcher must comprehend, deep explore and empathize on each process, activity, procedure, attitude, sense as well as behavior of the subject in related to confidence aspect.The result of investigation revealed that REBT model through the theory of A-B-C-D and homework assignment can strengthen the self-confidence of subject. The subject was prone to alter its cognition and as a result the emotion and behavior is changed. RA’s subject tends to intensive in socializing with his friends, courageously to give an opinion, better and consecutively in daily activities such as washing his clothes, made the bed as well as cleared everything up. Based on this research, it is recommended that the family of subject could continue the exercise that has been programmed in order to nurturing the subject in his daily life. For the next research need the improvement to obtain the best approach.Keywords: Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), self-confidence AbstrakPermasalahan yang dikaji adalah disabilitas netra yang mengalami ketidakpercayaan diri di SLBN A Kota Bandung. Ketidakpercayaan diri yang dialami oleh subjek RA disebabkan oleh adanya pemikiran irasional. Intervensi yang dilakukan adalah dengan menerapkan model Rational Emotive Behavior Theraphy (REBT) dengan teori A-B-C-D dan penugasan pekerjaan rumah.Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengakaji model REBT dengan teori A-B-C-D dan penugasan pekerjaan rumah dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri disabilitas netra. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian tindakan (action research). penelitian kualitatif dilakukan untuk menggali dan mengekplorasi makna dari suatu fenomena sosial yang terjadi. Eksplorasi makna yang didapatkan berada dalam seting alamiah yang tidak direkayasa. Action research merupakan suatu upaya mengujicobakan ide-ide ke dalam praktek untuk memperbaiki atau mengubah sesuatu agar memperoleh dampak nyata dari suatu situasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Rational Emotive Behavior Theraphy (REBT) yang dilakukan dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri “RA”. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan semakin seringnya “RA” berkumpul bersama teman-temannya, berani menyapa dan memulai percakapan. Subjek sudah memiliki inisiatif dan rasa tanggung jawab terhadap diri, Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya keteraturan dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan rumah seperti mencuci pakaian, membereskan tempat tidur, merapikan pakaian dan barang-barang. Pekerjaan ini dilakukan “RA” tanpa adanya perintah atau suruhan dari pembimbing asrama.Kata kunci: Rational Emotive Behavior Theraphy (REBT), kepercayaan diri

Abstract

This study aims to determine the critical thinking profile of high school students on renewable energy materials using a mixed method consisting of qualitative descriptive in the form of interview results and quantitative descriptive in the form of test result analysis at SMA Negeri 1 Sembawa, South Sumatra Province. The interview results stated that students are not used to doing critical thinking problems and rarely do activities that can stimulate their critical thinking skills. The test for the learners showed a low average score of 35.12. The average score obtained for the indicator giving a simple explanation was 33.80, the indicator building basic skills was 38.19, and the indicator giving further explanation was 21.53. All three include critical thinking skills categorized as lacking. As for the indicators inferring and organizing strategies (tactics) included in the category enough with average scores of 43.75 and 40.97. The results indicate that students' critical thinking skills fall into the category of being less proficient. This is due to students' lack of literacy regarding renewable energy and their unfamiliarity with working on questions with high-level thinking skills. Another cause is that physics learning is less varied and experiments are rarely carried out.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are rarely measured in science learning. This study aims to analyze critical thinking of junior high school students on heat transfer materials. The subjects of this study were class VII students of SMP Negeri 6 Palembang, totaling 32 seventh grade students took written tests as part of the data gathering process, which also included interviews with physics teachers. This research uses a mixed-methods strategy that combines both qualitative and quantitative data. For educational policymakers deciding on next steps, such as the choice of suitable teaching models and instructional materials, aimed at fostering the improvement of students' critical thinking abilities, understanding the profile of students' critical thinking skills serves as a valuable reference. With an average score of 36.12, the results showed that students had comparatively weak critical thinking abilities. Thus, this research can make a significant contribution to the development of effective and innovative learning methods

Abstract

Media dapat diartikan sebagai alat bantu yang dapat dijadikan sebagai penyalur pesan guru dalam mencapai tujuan pengajaran. Oleh karena itu media pengajaran lebih dikenal dengan sebutan alat bantu pengajaran atau alat peraga. Media Gambar adalah suatu media visual yang hanya bisa dilihat saja, akan tetapi tidak mempunyai unsur audio atau suara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peran media gambar terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi siswa tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif yang berkaitan dengan kegiatan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi di lapangan penelitian. Penelitian ini berlokasi di SD Negeri 04 Dompu. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan pada pembelajaran menulis puisi dengan media gambar di SD Negeri 04 Dompu Bahwa dengan adanya media gambar di pembelajaran menulis puisi dapat meningkatkan semangat belajar siswa khususnya dalam hal menulis, karena siswa dapat mengembangkan gagasan, ide, pendapat dan imajinasi untuk bercerita. Dengan menggunakan media gambar siswa akan lebih mudah menemukan kosa kata dan mengungkapkan isi gambar ke dalam bentuk tulisan.

Abstract

Kesehatan diri pada anak usia sekolah dasar merupakan fondasi yang penting bagi anak untuk mampu menerapkan kesehatan pribadi di masa yang akan datang. Namun, sangat disayangkan bahwa tidak semua anak mendapatkan pengetahuan yang cukup mengenai kesehatan diri khususnya anak-anak di SDN 62 Lebong. Oleh sebab itu, tim pengabdi melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi kesehatan diri. Adapun metode pelaksanaan yang diterapkan adalah ceramah dan demonstrasi. Untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan dari kegiatan ini maka digunakan tes awal dan tes akhir. Berdasarkan hasil tes diketahui bahwa pada indikator pengetahuan terjadi peningkatan dari 40% menjadi 75%, sedangkan pada indikator keterampilan terjadi peningkatan dari 45% menjadi 80%. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta mengenai kesehatan diri.

Abstract

Land cover undergoes changes every year. Such development might be uncontrolled, making it crucial to monitor changes in land cover. Monitoring land cover changes can be conducted using satellite imagery, especially Landsat images. This study was conducted in the Katobu District, Muna Regenvy, and aimed to: (1) identify changes in land cover from 2017-2022 in the Katobu Subdistrict, Muna District; (2) analyze the direction of built land development from 2017-2022; (3) understand the factors influencing the direction of built land development. The data used in this study include the type of land cover from Landsat images, sample coordinate points from field surveys, and data on factors affecting the direction of built land development obtained from interviews. The data analysis methods used are overlay and quantitative descriptive. The research results include: (1) the most significant land cover change from 2017-2022 was the transformation from shrub land to built land, with a change of 27,86 hectares or 2,84%; (2) the direction of built land development in the Katobu Subdistrict from 2017-2022 tends to head towards the Batalaiworu Subdistrict; (3) the influencing factors are non-physical factors such as population growth/total population and city activities.
