Abstract

The increase in population and global economic growth means that energy demand continues to increase every year, so that limited energy resources such as fossil fuels are depleted more quickly. The purpose of this research is to determine the needs analysis for developing PBL-based e- LKPD with a STEM approach on renewable energy material to improve students' creative thinking abilities. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a survey through a student needs questionnaire and interviews with physics teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Pondok Pesantren Ahlul Quran Palembang. The data obtained was then analyzed descriptively. The research results show that 80% of students find it difficult to learn renewable energy material. All students and teachers strongly agree if teaching materials are developed in the form of PBL-based e-Worksheetwith a STEM approach so that they can improve students' creative thinking abilities and can be used as teaching materials to support learning by students both at school and independently at home.

Abstract

This study aims to present the design and efficacy of an enhanced learning tool for digital platforms featuring interactive simulations to educate students about the complexities of global warming. This study utilized an experimental method involving 32 10th-grade high school students. The Python-assisted E-Learning Tool offers dynamic visualization and model interaction, allowing students to explore the causal relationship between human activities and climate change. By manipulating simulation parameters, students observed the impact of global temperature trends in real-time, which fostered a nuanced understanding of global warming. This allows them to observe the cause-and-effect relationship between human activities, greenhouse gas emissions, and environmental impact. Interactive simulations and applications enable students to experiment independently with physics concepts. Python underscores its suitability for education because of its extensive functionality and ease of use and because it encourages a hands-on and exploratory approach to learning complex STEM subjects such as global warming. This process is accompanied by structured instructional content, including data analysis, group discussion, and reflective assessment, to enhance cognitive engagement and promote ongoing practice. This study highlights the potential of integrating technology-based learning tools into the STEM curriculum to facilitate active exploration of global sustainability challenges.

Abstract

Archive management that is still done manually at SMA Plus Taruna Akterlis Medan often causes difficulties in searching and archiving documents efficiently. Therefore, this study aims to design and build a web-based mobile digital archive management system using the Levenshtein Algorithm to improve document search efficiency. This system was developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, and implementing object-based system analysis modeling, such as Use Case Diagrams, Class Diagrams, and Activity Diagrams. The Levenshtein Algorithm is used in this system to improve the accuracy of document searches based on the similarity of keywords entered by the user, thus facilitating the archive search process. The prototype system developed allows users to manage archive data digitally, including recording incoming and outgoing letters. The implementation of this system is expected to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of archive management in the school environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, kemudian apa saja faktor penghambat dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, dan apa saja solusi yang ditawarkan bagi guru dalam mengatasi permasalahan dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di SDN Inpres 2 Lanta. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi terhadap guru yang mengajar dan berpengalaman di SDN Inpres 2 Lambu. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran guru sangat penting dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Guru dapat melakukan banyak hal, seperti memilih metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa, menciptakan suasana kelas yang menyenangkan, dan memberikan penghargaan atau apresiasi atas usaha dan prestasi siswa. Dengan metode yang tepat, guru dapat menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung dan menyenangkan sehingga siswa lebih termotivasi untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam pendidikan. Namun, guru menghadapi banyak tantangan ketika melakukannya. Di antaranya adalah kurangnya sarana dan prasarana sekolah, rendahnya minat belajar dari siswa sendiri, dan dampak dari lingkungan keluarga dan lingkungan sekitar yang kurang mendukung. Melengkapi sarana belajar yang memadai, menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang nyaman dan menyenangkan, serta menyelenggarakan evaluasi pembelajaran secara berkala untuk memantau dan mengendalikan hasil belajar siswa merupakan cara mengatasi permasalahan tersebut.

Abstract

Airport security is a vital component in maintaining the stability of air transportation systems. Although scanning technologies and access control systems have significantly advanced, the potential threat posed by internal actors remains an unresolved vulnerability. This study aims to examine the feasibility of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to detect threat intentions through gesture and body temperature analysis, with a specific focus on the apron zone a highly vulnerable area of the airport. Utilizing a hypothetical scenario based on the Red Team method, this study maps potential breach pathways conducted by individuals with authorized access. The findings suggest that the integration of computer vision, thermal imaging, and behavioral profiling has the potential to identify anomalous behaviors indicative of malicious intent. This research highlights the importance of combining technological approaches with human-centered security strategies to develop a more adaptive and accurate predictive security system.

Abstract

Pengelolaan aset yang efektif dan efisien menjadi faktor penting dalam mendukung operasional perusahaan, termasuk di PT Pengusaha Muda. Permasalahan yang dihadapi perusahaan ini antara lain adalah pencatatan aset yang masih dilakukan secara manual, kurangnya integrasi data, dan tingginya risiko kehilangan informasi. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, penelitian ini merancang dan membangun sistem informasi pengelolaan aset berbasis web dengan menggunakan framework CodeIgniter. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah pendekatan waterfall, yang terdiri dari tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah sistem informasi yang mampu mencatat, mengelola, dan menyajikan data aset secara real-time, lengkap dengan fitur pencatatan aset, pelacakan status, pengelompokan, dan laporan aset. Pengujian sistem dilakukan dengan metode black box dan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fungsi sistem berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Dengan adanya sistem ini, PT Pengusaha Muda dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi dalam pengelolaan asetnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menerapkan pemanfaatan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) sebagai sarana edukasi dalam upaya konservasi mangrove di Pantai Kurnia, Desa Kota Pari. Mangrove merupakan ekosistem pesisir yang memiliki peran vital dalam menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan, mencegah abrasi, serta menyediakan habitat bagi berbagai spesies. Namun, rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya peran mangrove menyebabkan ekosistem ini rentan terhadap kerusakan. Teknologi AI, dengan kemampuannya dalam analisis data dan pengolahan informasi yang cepat, dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menyampaikan pesan edukasi secara lebih efektif dan menarik. Dalam proyek pengabdian ini, kami mengembangkan sebuah aplikasi berbasis AI yang menggabungkan visualisasi data interaktif, gamifikasi, dan simulasi dampak kerusakan mangrove. Aplikasi ini dirancang untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam kepada masyarakat, khususnya generasi muda, mengenai peran penting mangrove, ancaman yang dihadapi, serta langkah-langkah konservasi yang dapat dilakukan. Selain itu, aplikasi ini juga dilengkapi dengan fitur yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk berinteraksi langsung dengan data, seperti simulasi pertumbuhan mangrove dan dampak perubahan iklim terhadap ekosistem pesisir. Diharapkan, melalui pendekatan inovatif ini, kesadaran dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam konservasi mangrove dapat meningkat secara signifikan, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi pada pelestarian lingkungan dan keberlanjutan ekosistem pesisir di Pantai Kurnia. Pengabdian ini tidak hanya memberi manfaat bagi lingkungan, tetapi juga meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam menggunakan teknologi untuk mendukung konservasi alam.

Abstract

This research was conducted from June to July 2025 in Binjai City, with the primary focus being analyzing the readiness of the Binjai City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) to implement a flood early warning system utilizing artificial intelligence (AI). The data collection process was conducted through a literature review, which involved reviewing various theories and previous research results regarding the application of AI and Internet of Things (IoT) technology in the context of disaster mitigation. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the use of technologies such as ultrasonic sensors, microcontrollers, fuzzy logic, and automatic notification systems can provide real-time warnings with a high level of accuracy and a fast response. This system enables early detection of rising river levels through automatic measurements, intelligent data processing, and sending notifications to authorities and affected communities within seconds. By integrating historical data and machine learning-based predictions, this system is also able to depict potential flooding before it occurs, providing a longer response time for evacuation. However, the readiness of the Binjai City BPBD still faces various challenges, such as limited digital infrastructure, the need for human resource training in the technology field, and inadequate budget allocation. Therefore, cross-sector collaboration and ongoing policy support are needed for optimal implementation of this system. The use of AI and IoT in early warning systems is not only technically relevant but also urgent in the face of increasing climate change and flood risks. A strategy involving cross-sector collaboration between government, academia, and the private sector is needed to develop an adaptive and sustainable early warning system.

Abstract

The management of the use of aviation fuel in aircraft is a crucial aspect in the aviation industry, which has a direct impact on operational efficiency and environmental sustainability. This study aims to analyze the use of avtur fuel with an IT Governance-based simulation approach using the Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies model or abbreviated as COBIT. The COBIT model was chosen for its ability to manage structured information technology governance, so that it can help in optimizing decision-making related to fuel efficiency. The simulations carried out in this study involve various operational scenarios to evaluate the effectiveness of avtur management by utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) in the COBIT framework. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of COBIT-based IT Governance can improve the efficiency of audit use by improving monitoring, risk management, and data-based decision-making processes. These findings contribute to the development of fuel efficiency strategies in the aviation industry and open up opportunities for the application of similar models in other transportation sectors.

Abstract

This thesis examines user sentiment towards Panca Budi Development University by utilizing Google reviews as the main data and using the Naïve Bayes algorithm for sentiment analysis. This research aims to understand the public's perception of the university through reviewing reviews available on the Google platform. The data used consists of user reviews collected from Google Reviews. The analysis process begins with data pre-processing, including text cleaning and tokenization, followed by the development of a Naïve Bayes model for classification of review sentiment into positive, negative, or neutral categories. The results of this analysis provide insight into the strengths and weaknesses of Panca Budi Development University from a user perspective, as well as identifying areas that require improvement. It is hoped that these findings can become a basis for the university to improve the quality of its services and reputation in the eyes of the public. This research also highlights the effectiveness of the Naïve Bayes algorithm in sentiment analysis, and contributes to further studies on sentiment analysis in the education sector
