Abstract

The electrospinning method is a method of making nanofibers using the influence of an electric field to produce a jet of electrically charged polymer solution. In this experiment, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) nanofibers and ketapang leaf extract with various viscosities were made using electrospinning equipment with a static collector. Scanning using an electron microscope (SEM) shows that the morphology of the nanofibers formed looks homogeneous, continuous, and without beads (beads free). The SEM results were analyzed using ImageJ software, which was then carried out using Origin software to determine the fiber diameter. Diameter size distribution with fiber diameter size distribution ranging from 2000 to 8000 nm.

Abstract

Dr. Tengku Mansyur Regional Hospital, Tanjungbalai City, still has difficulty in grouping the intensity of diseases that often occur in Tanjungbalai City, in the exact grouping based on the results of patient medical data records. Medical records are documents that record information about the patient's condition, medical history, and previous treatment filled in by health workers who provide care and treatment. Medical records function to provide health information for all health workers involved in patient care. The goal is to minimize the increase in the intensity of the disease experienced by patients by providing counseling and solutions to diseases that have high intensity. administration in an effort to improve health services in hospitals and also increase the supply of drugs according to the drugs needed. This study uses the Jupyter Notebook application based on Python and data mining methods, especially the K-Means Clustering algorithm, to analyze patient medical record data based on age, blood pressure and disease diagnosis. With the K-Means Clustering Algorithm, it can also minimize variation in one cluster and maximize variation between clusters. With the research, Cluster C1 is a disease that often occurs with high intensity and has 49 members, Cluster C2 is a disease that occurs with intensity. Cluster 2 has 28 members, while Cluster C3 is a disease that occurs with low intensity and has 23 members.

Abstract

This preliminary study investigates the critical thinking skills of Grade VII students at SMP Negeri 01 Belitang Jaya on the topic of temperature and heat, focusing on Ennis's critical thinking indicators. It aims to identify students' critical thinking levels based on five indicators and highlight areas needing improvement. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method, involving 154 students from five classes. Data were collected through questionnaires covering five indicators: providing simple explanations, building basic skills, drawing conclusions, providing further explanations, and managing strategies and tactics. The findings show that students excel in providing simple explanations (74.66%, high category). However, they perform moderately in building basic skills (46.79%), drawing conclusions (58.54%), and providing further explanations (41.60%). Managing strategies and tactics scored the lowest (31.20%, low category). These results suggest a need for targeted educational interventions, especially in strategy and tactics management. The study provides a reference for developing interactive teaching materials, such as augmented reality-assisted e-modules, to improve students' engagement and critical thinking skills. It lays the groundwork for innovative teaching strategies to make the learning process more effective and engaging
