Abstract

The rapid development of technology requires mathematics teachers to master mathematical software applications. However, some mathematics teachers have not mastered technology in mathematics learning, especially mathematical software applications. The solution to this problem is organizing community service activities through mathematical software application training in mathematics learning. The community service activity uses training modules that provide detailed and complete explanations and examples presented excitingly, so the participants are not bored. A series of community service activities include materials delivery, training and mentoring, discussion, and evaluations. Mathematics teachers were actively involved during the activities to the end and evaluation. This community service activity aims to improve the quality of mathematics teachers in utilizing mathematical software applications in mathematics learning. The responses to the training activities were very positive, so it can be concluded that the training activities were carried out well and the achievements in accordance with the goals and targets specified.

Abstract

This study aimed to observe student learning activities in terms of number material metacognition. The method is a case study qualitative research. The research subjects were 30 students of the fifth-grade elementary school in Malang. Data collection techniques use tests and interviews by carrying out three stages: planning, monitoring, and evaluation. The results showed that internal and external factors caused 75% of moderate learning difficulties. Internal factors arise due to a lack of understanding of mathematical concepts, lack of thoroughness, and interest in literacy. Meanwhile, the external media used by the teacher was deemed less supportive, and the class conditions were not conducive. Thus, there is a conclusion that internal and external factors cause students’ metacognition analysis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada materi perbandingan. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 28 peserta didik kelas VII-2 SMP Negeri 23 Malang, kemudian diambil 6 peserta didik untuk dianalisis, karena terdapat kesamaan jawaban di setiap tingkatannya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi metode. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu pada kriteria kurang kreatif atau Tingkat Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif (TKBK) dengan 39,28%, dan kriteria tidak kreatif dengan 60,71%. Kriteria sangat kreatif, kreatif dan cukup kreatif tidak ditemukan subjek pada tingkatan ini. Kesimpulan berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh kemampuan berpikir kreatif dengan kriteria kurang kreatif, siswa mampu memahami soal, memberikan ide, memberikan lebih dari satu jawaban dan menjawab tetapi belum ada unsur kebaruan. Siswa dengan kriteria tidak kreatif terdapat 17 orang, siswa mampu memahami soal, memberikan ide, memberikan satu jawaban walaupun kurang lengkap dan menjawab tetapi belum ada unsur kebaruan.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami soal dan mengerjakannya terutama pada materi sistem persamaan linier dua variabel. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menerapkan metode pendekatan problem solving dengan model polya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis & Mc Teggart. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Modern Al-Rifa’ie Malang pada peserta didik kelas VIII-D dengan menggunakan subjek sebanyak 28 peserta didik tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Teknik dan Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, adanya peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik aspek kognitif pada setiap siklus. Persentase ketuntasan rata-rata yang diperoleh pada siklus I yaitu 34% sedangkan persentase ketuntasan rata-rata pada siklus II yaitu 80%. Jadi persentase peningkatan yang terjadi pada siklus I dan II yaitu 46%. Kata Kunci: Penelitian tindakan kelas, problem solving model polya, hasil belajar.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang peneliti temukan di sekolah kelas IV SD Negeri 5 Kalirejo Kec. Lawang adalah guru kurang memanfaatkan model dan media pembelajaran. Sehingga berdampak pada menurunnya hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara signifikan model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together (NHT) berbantuan media pembelajaran kartu kapsul positif dan negatif pada siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri 5 Kalirejo Kecamatan Lawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan Quasi Experimental Design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh populasi siswa kelas IV A sebanyak 23 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas IV B sebanyak 21 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan tes. Teknis analisis data yag digunakan pada penelitian adalah uji homogenitas, normalitas dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menghasilan siswa lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran, dapat lebih aktif dalam mengusulkan ide-ide dalam berkelompok, aktif dalam menjawab soal yang telah diberikan. Penggunaan model Numbered Head Together (NHT) berbantuan media kartu kapsul positif dan negatif berpengaruh dalam mencapai hasil belajar siswa yang sesuai dengan KKM. Hasil belajar mengalami perubahan yang diperoleh siswa dengan menguji pretest dan posttest menggunakan model NHT berbantuan media. Hal ini terbukti dari nilai hitung pada penelitian adalah sebesar -2.320 dengan nilai sig 0,025<0,05.

Abstract

This study aims to produce an e-module based on mathematical literacy with a valid, effective, and feasible problem-based learning approach to improve students' mathematical reasoning in multivariable calculus material. This research used a development method with the stages: analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The research subjects involved fifth-semester students' mathematics education department. Small group trials with 17 students and large group trials with 35 students. The research instruments included validation sheets, student worksheets, questionnaires, and mathematical reasoning ability test questions. Data collection used the results of the validation as validity, test results as effectiveness, and the results of the questionnaire as feasibility. Data analysis was descriptively and qualitatively. The research produced an e-module based on mathematical literacy with a problem-based learning approach that is valid, very effective, and very feasible for improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities in multivariable calculus material. The developed e-module has the potential for significant differences and increases mathematical reasoning abilities. In addition, e-module can be used as an alternative solution to electronic teaching.

Abstract

Abstract: Grade IV students at SDN Gondang have difficulties in summarizing narrative texts in Indonesian. Of the 31 students there were 9 students or 29 percent who achieved a completeness score of 75. This shows that as many as 21 students or 71 percent of students were still not finished. One alternative problem solving that can be done by the teacher is to apply the SQ3R strategy. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of several stages, namely: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, tests, and documentation. The steps of data analysis, namely: data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research showed that the average percentage of students' activity during the reading process of SQ3R cycle I was 78 percent and cycle II was 89 percent. While the average value of the completeness of the reading process in the first cycle is 57 percent and 90 percent in the second cycle. Based on these results it can be concluded that the implementation of the SQ3R strategy in learning Indonesian has been carried out properly. Abstrak: Siswa kelas IV SDN Gondang mengalami kesulitan dalam membuat rangkuman teks narasi pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Dari 31 siswa terdapat 9 siswa atau 29 persen yang mencapai nilai ketuntasan yaitu 75. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 21 siswa atau 71 persen siswa masih belum tuntas. Salah satu alternatif penyelesaian masalah yang dapat dilakukan oleh guru adalah dengan menerapkan strategi SQ3RPenelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari beberapa tahapan, yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data diantaranya wawancara, observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Langkah-langkah analisis data, yaitu: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh data hasil rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa selama proses membaca SQ3R siklus I 78 persen dan siklus II 89 persen. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata ketuntasan proses membaca pada siklus I 57 persen dan siklus II 90 persen. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi SQ3R dalam pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia telah dilaksanakan dengan baik.

Abstract

The rapidly growing digital era demands everyone to master technology, especially students. Students are required to be technology literate, but there are still many students who are not technology literate, so they are not optimal in utilizing technology, especially in data analysis. The solution to these problems is holding service activities in the form of data analysis training using the SPSS statistical application with socialization, training and mentoring, presentations, discussion forums, and evaluations. The training activities with modules explained in detail the steps for entering data input, operating, and analyzing with examples of data, and data analysis exercises that were presented in an interesting way so that the students were not boring. Students were actively involved during the activity until the end of the activity and evaluation. This activity aims to improve the quality of students in data analysis using the SPSS statistical application. This training activity received a positive response, and the students were always active in participating in the activity until it was completed, so it can be concluded that the training activity was carried out very well and succeeded in accordance with the goals and targets set.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the skills of prospective mathematics teachers on limit and integral mathematical software. The activities include training in mathematical software innovation on limit and integral. The training materials include the definition of mathematical software, installation, use of mathematical software in the form of maple math, material delivery, interactive dialogue, presentations, and evaluation. This is an indicator of the successful implementation of community service activities. The results of community service activities are mathematical software innovation modules on limit and integral. The module describes the use of mathematical software on limits and integrals for mathematical calculations and graphs. This community service activity received positive responses, and the results of prospective mathematics teachers’ presentations in applying mathematical software on limits and integrals were very good.

Abstract

Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi yang semakin pesat, menjadikan guru SD mulai tertarik untuk menggunakan e-modul dalam pembelajarannya. Namun e-modul yang digunakan belum dikembangkan pada pendekatan pembelajaran yang menekankan pada literasi numerasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan dari e-modul bilangan berbasis somatic, auditory, visual, intellectual (SAVI) untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi siswa Sekolah Dasar. Desain penelitian ini menerapkan model Dick and Carey yang direkomendasikan oleh Borg and Gall. Hasil penilaian validator terhadap e-modul pada kategori sangat layak pada aspek media, materi dan bahasa. Sedangkan data kemenarikan e-modul siswa memperoleh persentase 95,8% dengan berkategori sangat baik. Nilai matematika siswa tertinggi (maksimum) adalah 90, sedangkan nilai terendah (minimum) adalah 80. E-modul pembelajaran berbasis somatic, auditory, visual, intellectual (SAVI) masuk dalam kategori “Efektif”. Berdasarkan hal tersebut e-modul layak digunakan.Abstract: The rapid development of technology and communication has interested elementary school teachers in using e-modules in their learning. However, the e-modules used have yet to be developed on a student-centered learning approach and numeracy literacy. This research aims to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual (SAVI) based number e-modules to improve numeracy literacy of elementary school students. This research design applies the Dick and Carey model recommended by Borg and Gall. The results of the validator's assessment of the e-module in the very feasible category in media, material, and language. In contrast, the data on the students' e-module attractiveness obtained a percentage of 95.8% with a very good category. The highest (maximum) student learning outcome score was 90, while the lowest (minimum) score was 80. The somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual (SAVI) based learning e-module falls into the "Effective" category. Based on this, the e-module is suitable for use.
