Abstract

In asphalt concrete mixture. Filler has the smallest percentage composition compared to coarse and fine aggregates. Portland cement, lime stone ash and fly ash are commonly used as filler but they are relatively expensive. Therefore, it is composition to find alternative cheap materials. Clam shell ash is one of those materials that can be found relatively cheaper. The aim of this research is to examine the performance of clamshell ash filler in Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course (AC-WC) mixture that comply with Bina Marga 2010 revision 3 spesification. The type of asphalt used in this research is Pen 60/70. In the determination of KAO, the approximate variations of optimum asphalt content were 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5% and 7%. Clamshell ash proportion used 0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and 8%.The results of this study showed that the performance of AC-WC mixture using shell ash filler has better stability value than without it. Recommended shell ash filler content for AC-WC mixture that comply with the spesification is 4%.Keywords: shell ash, General Specification of Bina Marga 2010, filler, Marshall, AC-WC

Abstract

The use of fillers is useful for filling empty voids in the asphalt mixture for highway pavements so that the use of fillers greatly affects the strength of its stability. Materials that can be used as fillers are those that have pozzolanic content and contain high levels of silica. One of the materials that has this content is palm bunch ash. The water content of peat has a high acidity, so it can damage a pavement when there is inundation for a long time. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of peat water on the characteristics of marshall in AC-BC mixture which uses oil palm bunch ash as a filler. This study used a percentage of filler variations in the form of 0%, 2%, 4% and 6% which were immersed for 0.5 hours, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours and 24 hours using peat water. This study follows the Standard Specification of Bina Marga 2018. In this study, the KAO value obtained the highest stability value and 4% filler variation at 0.5 hour immersion time of 906.53 kg and the lowest stability value of 0% filler variation at 24 hours immersion time of 505.33 kg. then for the IKS value that meets the standard requirements of the Standard Specification of Bina Marga 2018 only at 3 hours of immersion time for all percentages of filler variations where the maximum requirement for reduction in the stability value is 90% from the original stability value. Abstract

The airport is an air transportation facility which has now become an important part of the movement of people and goods. The growing Indonesian economy, especially the Riau Province and Pekanbaru City, also has a big role in increasing the use of airport facilities. All available facilities must meet service standards including the runway section for aircraft services. As aircraft movements increase every year, it is necessary to evaluate the operational side of pavement conditions, so this study aims to analyze the PCN value of the runway using the ACN-PCN comparison method for the B737-900 ER aircraft. Based on a report issued by the Ministry of Transportation, the PCN value of the existing runway is 66/F/B/X/T. The results of the evaluation using COMFAA show that in 2025, the runway structure needs to be improved to serve the movement of the B737-900 ER aircraft in 2025 which has a PCN value of 48 F/B/X/T, while the ACN value of the aircraft is 49,8 with a total aircraft movement of reaching 69,369 aircraft per year. Abstract

Project PLTU RIAU 2x110 MW is located in Tenayan Raya regency, Pekanbaru, Riau province. The project proposed to support energy demand especially for Riau Province in line to support a national program in order to increase national electricity ratio. This projectneeds high funding to construct therefore, it is necessary for the Government to study and analyze some aspects including financial. 30 % of the project funds came from PT PLN (Persero) equity equal to Rp995.646.470.749,47 while the other 70% which isRp2.323.175.098.415,43 came from loan. Feasibility analysis represents that Net Present Value (NPV) is Rp515.754.288.356,69, Benefit Cost Ratio is 1,05, Internal Rate of Return is12.62%, whereas Payback period is 16 years and 3 months, it represents that this project is feasible. The sensitivity analysis showed that the investment will be sensitive at 177,26%, thebenefit will be sensitive at 93%, the cost at 109% from the original value, and interest will be sensitive at 12,62%. As per deterministic sensitivity analyses from the several variables indicated that the highest to lowest influences in sequence is (1) tariff, (2) r class tariff, (3) operational and maintenance cost, (4) exchange rate, and as per the regression value also indicated that (1) tariff, (2) r class tariff, (3) operational and maintenance cost, (4) exchange rate, has the effect from the highest to lowest variable.Keywords: Finansial Analisys, Net Present Value, Benefit Cost Ratio, Internal Rate of Return, Payback period, Sentivity Analysis.

Abstract

Batu bara termasuk kedalam bahan bakar fosil. Di Indonesia, cadangan batu bara tersedia dalam jumlah banyak. Pembakaran batu bara menghasilkan limbah berupa fly ash dan bottom ash (FABA). FABA yang dibiarkan menumpuk dalam waktu yang lama dapat menimbulkan masalah bagi lingkungan seperti pencemaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat memanfaatkan FABA untuk perkerasan jalan yaitu lapisan pondasi atas (base) agar dapat mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan dan mencari proporsi yang tepat agar pemanfaatan bisa dilakukan dengan optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengujian CBR laboratorium dengan rendaman yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh FABA terhadap campuran lapisan base ini untuk mendapatkan nilai CBR atau kekuatan daya dukung yang sesuai dengan standar bina marga 2018. Campuran lapisan base dibuat dalam lima variasi. Variasi I dan III FABA digunakan sebagai bahan pengganti sedangkan pada variasi II,IV dan V FABA digunakan sebagai bahan tambah. Variasi I dan II dengan komposisi FABA 55%FA dan 45%BA menghasilkan nilai CBR 114% dan 162%. Pada variasi tiga dan empat dengan perlakuan yang berbeda dengan cara diperamyang menghasilkan nilai CBR yaitu variasi 117% dan 252%. Sedangkan pada variasi V komposisi FABA 75%FA 25%BA nilai CBR yang didapat 100%, sehingga semua nilai CBR rendaman masuk kedalam standar dan FABA layak digunakan kedalam campuran lapisan perkerasan jalan.

Abstract

Based on the records of the Ministry of Public Works, the number of contractors in Indonesia reaches 180 thousand companies. This number tripled compared with companies in Chinese State. The large number of companies lead to unfair competition in the construction business so would be contrary to the principles of procurement: efficient, effective, transparent, open, competitive, fair/non-discriminatory, and accountable. This study aims to analyze disparities of bid prices to Owner’s Estimate (OE), case studies of public procurementwithin Pemerintah Kabupaten Kampar, specifically on road and bridge work packages.

Abstract

Bandara Internasional Kualanamu yang terletak di Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Provinsi Sumatera Utara memiliki luas eksisting (2016) seluas 118.930 m2 yang berkapasitas 8,9 juta penumpang per tahunnya yang dapat menampung penumpang pada jam sibuk sebanyak 4.134 penumpang. Hal ini menyebabkan kekhawatiran akan kapasitas bangunan terminal yang tidak dapat melayani kebutuhan penumpang pada tahun 2030. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dan membuat proyeksi rencana kebutuhan bangunan terminal penumpang (2020-2030). Metodologi statistik regresi linier berganda diaplikasikan dalam membuat proyeksi penumpang ini. Volume penumpang dipakai sebagai variabel terikat (dependent variable).  Adapun jumlah penduduk (Pdd) Provinsi Sumatera Utara dan  PDRB Perkapita atas Dasar Harga Konstan Tahun 2010 (Pkt) Provinsi Sumatera Utara sebagai variabel bebas (independent variable) dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 23.0 serta Microsoft Excel maka dihasilakan, PDRB Perkapita (atas Dasar Harga Konstan Tahun 2010) berpenaruh kuat pada pertumbuhan penumpang domestic.  Persamaan proyeksi volume penumpang = -9.098.309,11 + 0,498 Pkt dengan R2 0,935. Berdasarkan KP Nomor 482 Tahun 2018 tentang Rencana Induk Bandar Udara (RIB) Internasional Kualanamu Kabupaten Deli Serdang Provinsi Sumatera Utara digarisbawahi pentingnya pengembangan Bandar udara ini dimasa yang akan datang. Berdasarkan RIB dan penelitian ini pengembangan  luasan bangunan terminal ini perlu dibuat secara bertahap. Rencana tahap 1 (2020-2025) diproyeksi kebutuhan luas bangunan terminal adalah 154.700 m2 dan untuk pengembangan tahap 2 (tahun 2025-2030) kebutuhan bangunan terminal adalah seluas 223.000 m2.

Abstract

Oil palm trunk is one of the biomass that has not been utilized and becomes waste in the former oil palm replanting location. The application of palm oil processing technology for furniture raw materials can provide solutions to target audiences to be utilized and developed in the future. The aim of the community service activity is to assist the processing of oil palm stems for the production of furniture that has distinctive features and high selling value. The method of implementing the activity is theoretical assistance and direct practice to target audiences regarding palm oil processing technology for decorative furniture products. Achievement measurement tools consist of theoretical understanding and application suitability in the field. The results of these activities can be implemented by various prototypes of furniture products. The partner's knowledge of the wood processing business makes the transfer of science and technology for the use of oil palm trunks easier to implement. Socio-economically for the local community is very beneficial because it can change the perception of the existence of palm oil stems which have been considered as waste into a potential that can be utilized for an economically valuable product.

Abstract

Solid waste from oil palm trunks after replanting activities in oil palm plantations has the potential to be utilized. However, the community's perspective considers that oil palm trunks cannot be utilized because they are easy to mold and have low strength. The application of innovation and technology will be able to provide solutions to community empowerment and utilization of the potential of oil palm trunks. The purpose of the service activity is to provide assistance to innovation and technology on how to use palm oil trunk waste as raw material for furniture and building interior products in Pancurangading Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. The results of service activities can be declared successful in providing community understanding, attitudes, and skills. The success rate of the program based on pre-test and post-test data was 37.5% (do not understand) and increased to 84.7% (understand). People's perceptions of oil palm trunks have been able to change so that they are able to understand, utilize and produce palm wood raw materials into various variants of furniture and building interiors. Utilization of oil palm trunks can provide business opportunities for the community in the future.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia had a significant impact on the industrial sector. One of them is the natural rubber industry which has experienced a decline due to export restrictions from natural rubber export destination countries. This has a direct impact on rubber farmers who suffer financial losses. The formation of a new natural rubber downstream industry for natural rubber modified asphalt is a solution to increase national rubber consumption without relying on exports. Therefore, the purpose of carrying out the asphalt title test based on natural rubber type crepe rubber is to evaluate technical feasibility and educate the public about using natural rubber for domestic needs. This service method consists of several stages: observing the absorption potential of natural rubber, analyzing technical feasibility, and evaluating the degree test of natural rubber modified asphalt. The degree test was carried out on the 10-meter road around the Faculty of Engineering, Riau University. The results of the degree test show that the modified asphalt raw material is based on crepe rubber, the asphalt sample marshall test that was held, and the core drill test meets the 2018 Highways standard. The degree test that has been carried out can educate the community and rubber farmers through APKARKUSI regarding natural rubber processing technology and compound making. Crepe rubber and the technology of making modified asphalt and applying modified asphalt for roads.
