Abstract

UMKM have great potential in economic development in Indonesia. However, there are still many UMKM sectors that face problems in developing their businesses, namely limited financial problems in obtaining additional capital. Currently, many financial services offer capital loans, one of which is the Renteng Sharia Pawnshop institution which distributes Super Micro People's Business Credit (KUR). Because the distribution of Super Micro KUR has only just begun to be distributed, it is necessary to examine everything related to distribution practices, namely the process/procedures, terms, contracts, conditions and whether the problem resolution process is in accordance with the economic system in sharia economic law. This research uses a field/empirical approach with qualitative research methods that describe the objects or subjects studied in depth using empirical evidence obtained through interviews, observation, documentation of reality in the field. The research results show that credit in Islam is permissible because originally there was no text that forbade it. Most scholars say yes. The distribution of Super Micro KUR at Renteng Syariah Pegadaian does not contain anything that is detrimental to both parties and is in accordance with sharia economic law because it has implemented the principles of justice ('adl), balance (tawazun), benefit (maslahah), and does not contain elements of gharar (vagueness/obscurity). vaguely, maysir (gambling), usury, dzulm (tyranny), risywah (bribery), and other haram objects.

Abstract

Forest and land fires affected Indonesia from January to August 2023, burning a total of 267,935.59 hectares across 38 provinces. In South Kalimantan Province, the fires ranked 4th in severity, with a total of 24,588 hectares burned. The El Niño phenomenon in 2023 contributed to the occurrence of these forest and land fires, while human activities, such as land clearing, also played a role. In South Kalimantan Province, forest and land fires occurred in 13 districts/cities, including Banjarmasin, Banjarbaru, Banjar, Tapin, South Hulu Sungai, Central Hulu Sungai, North Hulu Sungai, Balangan, Tabalong, Barito Kuala, Tanah Laut, Tanah Bumbu, and Kotabaru. The province has four districts/cities classified as high-risk areas for forest and land fires: Banjarbaru City, Tanah Laut Regency, Banjar Regency, and Barito Kuala Regency. A particularly vital area in this region is Syamsudin Noor Airport, located in Syamsudin Noor Subdistrict, Landasan Ulin District. According to the South Kalimantan BPBD Operations Control Center, the highest number of forest fire incidents occurred in Banjarbaru City. The total burned area reached 1,015.03 hectares between March and November 2023, with incidents recorded as follows Landasan Ulin District 206 incidents (452.53 hectares), Liang Anggang District: 98 incidents (238.02 hectares), Cempaka District: 115 incidents (278.69 hectares), North Banjarbaru District: 17 incidents (29.32 hectares), South Banjarbaru District: 22 incidents (16.48 hectares). The objective of this research is to analyze the level of public participation in forest and land fire prevention in Landasan Ulin District. Abstract

Abstract

Wetland conflicts are particularly pronounced in regions rich in natural resources, such as the peat swamp areas in South Kalimantan. Local communities in these areas rely on the land for small-scale agriculture. In contrast, conservation efforts to prevent forest and land fires have led to clashes between community needs and government conservation policies, escalating the conflict. This paper employs a literature review to overview the conflicts occurring in peat swamp areas comprehensively. The analysis includes research articles published in national and international journals over the past two decades, from 2010 to 2024. Findings indicate that overlapping land ownership, policies with limited community participation, and the impacts of climate change are the primary drivers of conflict escalation. The consequences of these conflicts span social, economic, cultural, and environmental dimensions, including reduced livelihood access, ecosystem degradation, and loss of local cultural values. This study underscores the need for a more inclusive and participatory approach to land management that involves local communities, supporting both ecosystem sustainability and social stability in the region.

Abstract

This article explores the potential for developing riverbank areas in Banjarmasin City into tourist destinations through a comprehensive literature review. Banjarmasin, known as the "City of a Thousand Rivers," holds a unique geographical and cultural position that makes its riverbanks valuable for tourism. The study investigates various aspects of riverbank tourism, focusing on the benefits and challenges associated with utilizing these areas for economic development and cultural preservation. The literature analysis reveals that riverbank tourism can significantly boost local economies by attracting visitors while providing opportunities to showcase the city’s cultural heritage. However, challenges such as environmental degradation, inadequate infrastructure, and lack of community involvement present potential obstacles to sustainable development. The study emphasizes the need for a balanced approach that integrates tourism with environmental management and community participation. By synthesizing previous research, this paper provides insights into strategies for promoting sustainable riverbank tourism in Banjarmasin, contributing to the broader discourse on urban river tourism and development.
