Abstract

This research aims to identify the absorbance and consistency of the efficiency of DSSC (Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells). The study was conducted with variations of chlorophyll-anthocyanin mixture using different volumes of dye solutions: 10 ml of a cassava leaf and 20 ml of red dragon fruit, 20 ml of a cassava leaf and 10 ml of red dragon fruit, and 10 ml of a cassava leaf and 10 ml of red dragon fruit. The Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell system consists of natural dye as the colorant, electrolyte solution, two FTO glass substrates with dimensions of 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm, which function as working electrodes coated with titanium dioxide as the semiconductor using the doctor blade method, and counter electrode coated with carbon. All components of the Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell are arranged in a sandwich-like structure, with the counter electrode facing the working electrode and clamped together using paper clips. The highest absorbance value was obtained with the variation of 20 ml red dragon fruit and 10 ml cassava leaf compared to other mixtures. The highest efficiency and power of the Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell were also obtained with 20 ml of red dragon fruit and 10 ml of cassava leaf

Abstract

ABSTRACT.Nutrisi diperlukan oleh serangga untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya, sebagai sumber energi, perbaikan jaringan dan reproduksi. Kebutuhan nutrisi serangga pada umumnya berupa :asam amino, protein, air dan : mineral, vitamin-vitamin, asam nukleat dan nukleotida, sterol, asam lemak dan factor lipogenik. Tujuan praktikum ini adalah untuk mengetahui efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan daun brokoli, daunt alas, daun bawang, daun kangkung dan daun kacang panjang oleh larva S. litura dan C. pavonama. Bahan-bahannya adalah daun brokoli, daun bawang, daun kangkung, daun kacang panjang, dan daun bawang, Larva Spodoptera litura dan Larva C. pavonama. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 6 perlakuan (jenis pakan) dan 10 ulangan. Hasil percobaan di Analisis Ragam, dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji BNT 5%. Hasil penelitian, nilai LK, dan LKR dan DC tertinggi terdapat pada daun singkong, dan terendah pada daun brokoli. Nilai LP, LPR, ECI dan ECD tertinggi pada daun brokoli, sedangkan nilai LP dan LPR terendah pada daun bawang, dan nilai ECI dan ECD terendah pada daun singkong.

Abstract

The research aims to discuss the role of Bank Aceh's digital transformation in developing halal tourism in Aceh Province. The concept of tourism development that remains in synergy with the cultural values of the Acehnese people who are thick with Islamic values. The people of Aceh have a strong commitment to implementing Islamic law in a kaffah manner and in all activities of life. Bank Aceh's digital transformation is very important to support the development of halal tourism in Aceh Province. Bank Aceh must consider three main factors in carrying out digital transformation as a means of supporting the development of halal tourism. First, halal tourism is developed based on the values of Islamic law, national law and qanun (regional regulations). Second, the importance of halal certification in all types of services.  Third, the active involvement of PT Bank Aceh in the feasibility study of capital and MSMEs assistance in managing tourist attractions, tourism marketing, tourism industry, and institutional development. These three factors need to be fully supported by integrative government and financial industry policies. This research is expected to contribute to the development of knowledge about the role of digital transformation of PT Bank Aceh in developing halal tourism in Aceh Province.

Abstract

Limbah biomassa dapat menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan, munculnya penyakit dan menurunkan nilai estetika (keindahan) kota serta masalah-masalah lainnya. Hal ini terus mendorong manusia untuk melakukan inovasi untuk mendapatkan sumber energi baru terbarukan dengan memanfaatkan limbah-limbah dari alam yang kurang dimanfaatkan seperti limbah kelapa muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji karakteristik biopelet yang diproduksi dari limbah kelapa muda dengan metode torefaksi pada suhu 300ËšC. Produk hasil torefaksi berupa bio-arang torefaksi selanjutnya dihaluskan dan diayak hingga ukuran partikel 20 mesh dan 40 mesh sesuai variasi nya, kemudian dicampurkan dengan perekat yang divariaskan  sebesar 5%, 10% dan 15%  dan diaduk secara manual hingga homogen selanjutnya dicetak menjadi biopelet. Dari pengujian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh persentase moisture terendah sebesar 7,28% pada biopelet dengan sampel M40P5%, dan fixed carbon tertinggi sebesar 49,82% pada biopelet dengan sampel M40P5%. Laju pembakaran paling optimal dan nilai kalor tertinggi diperoleh sebesar 0,421 g/min dan 6586,58 kcal/kg pada biopelet dengan sampel M40P5%.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variasi perekat semakin banyak  memberikan pengaruh penurunan terhadap nilai kalor, moisture dan  fixed carbon  dan laju pembakaran tetapi sebaliknya pada ukuran mesh semakin tinggi memberikan kenaikan. Keywords: Biomassa, nilai kalor, kadar air, perekat, mesh

Abstract

This paper aims to find out how the application of the Brain Collaborative Based Learning (BCBL) learning model on Integrated Economic Exploration material to develop XXI Century Skills of Class X-3 MAN 1 Banda Aceh students. The application of this learning model involved 39 students. The achievement of learning targets for Integrated Economic Exploration material using the Brain Collaborative Based Learning (BCBL) learning model still varies. This learning model increases student motivation in the literacy of integrated economic exploration material on environmental, social and religious moderation issues. The absorption and target achievement of the curriculum on integrated economic exploration material with the target achievement of 21st century skills is 92.31%. Three out of thirty-nine students in class X-3 did not meet the completeness of the learning objective achievement criteria score (KKTP: 78-80). Abstract

Pemanfaatan limbah pertanian sebagai sumber energi alternatif merupakan salah satu upaya mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap bahan bakar fosil dan berdampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji karakteristik biobriket dari campuran limbah kulit kopi dan ampas tebu dengan menggunakan perekat natrium silikat, serta menganalisis pengaruh variasi komposisi bahan terhadap sifat fisik dan termal biobriket. Komposisi bahan divariasikan dalam lima perbandingan kulit kopi dan ampas tebu (80:20, 70:30, 50:50, 30:70, dan 20:80) gram dengan 15% perekat Natrium Silikat. Hasil uji proximate menunjukkan bahwa kadar air tertinggi sebesar 4,336%, kadar abu tertinggi 0,69% ,karbon terikat tertinggi mencapai 17,946% dan untuk hasil pengujian nilai kalor tertinggi sebesar 6231,715 kal/gram pada komposisi 80 kulit kopi dan 20 gram ampas tebu dan nilai kadar zat terbang tertinggi sebesar 87,218% dengan perbandingan 20 gram kulit kopi dan 80 gram ampas tebu. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa campuran kulit kopi dan ampas tebu dengan perekat natrium silikat memiliki potensi besar sebagai bahan bakar alternatif, dengan dominasi kulit kopi menghasilkan karakteristik biobriket yang lebih optimal. Tetapi untuk penambahan ampas tebu disarankan tidak lebih dari 30 gram agar mendapatkan nilai kalor yang memenuhu SNI 1-6235-2000.

Abstract

Coal quality assessment is crucial for determining its suitability as a fuel for power generation and industrial applications. Such evaluation generally involves proximate and ultimate analyses. The proximate analysis provides information on moisture, volatile matter, fixed carbon, and ash content, whereas the ultimate analysis identifies elemental composition such as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur. Geological factors, including age, temperature, and pressure during formation, strongly influence coal quality. This study aims to evaluate the effect of particle size on coal quality using grain sizes of 40 and 60 mesh, analyzed according to ASTM standard procedures. The results indicate that coal with a grain size of 40 mesh contains, on average, 22.22% moisture, 5.83% ash, 37.54% volatile matter, and 34.15% fixed carbon. In contrast, coal with a grain size of 60 mesh exhibits 20.45% moisture, 6.80% ash, 42.77% volatile matter, and 29.99% fixed carbon. These findings highlight the significant influence of particle size on the proximate characteristics of coal, which can affect its combustion behavior and potential applications in power plants and other industries

Abstract

The utilization of solar energy as a renewable energy source is becoming increasingly important to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. One of its applications is the parabolic reflector solar cooker, which harnesses solar radiation for cooking purposes. This study aims to evaluate the performance of a solar cooker equipped with a parabolic reflector through a water heating test. The study presents an analysis of the performance of a solar cooker using a parabolic reflector collector. The solar reflector was constructed from mirror fragments arranged to form a parabolic shape with a surface area of 1.05 m². The experiment was conducted in the Lhokseumawe region, Aceh Province, Indonesia, located at coordinates 5°12’11.01’’ N and 97° E, with an altitude of 18.3 m above sea level. Performance measurements were carried out using a water heating method with a vessel containing 3.2 kg of water placed at the focal point of the reflector. The solar radiation received by the collector was reflected toward the focal point, heating the water directly. The results showed that the water temperature increased to 82.4 °C within 60 minutes, from 12:00 to 13:00 local time (WIB). The overall efficiency of the solar cooker was found to be 33.9%. These findings indicate that the parabolic reflector solar cooker has strong potential as an environmentally friendly alternative energy source suitable for application in tropical regions

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of chimney height variation on the performance of a solar-powered cascara coffee dryer prototype. Chimney height is an important parameter in drying systems because it affects the rate of hot air flow, relative humidity, and drying process efficiency. An experimental study was conducted by varying the chimney height in the dryer's air outlet duct, then observing the drying performance of coffee cherry husks (cascara) as the test material. The main parameters analyzed included drying time, temperature stability in the drying chamber, drying efficiency, and final product quality. The results showed that variations in chimney height had a significant effect on system performance. A chimney with a height of 220 cm proved to produce the best performance with a more stable air flow rate, consistent drying temperature, and 100% efficiency. This results in a faster, more even, and higher quality cascara drying process. The final product, dried cascara coffee, can then be processed into high-value herbal tea drinks and has the potential to increase coffee product diversification. Thus, this study confirms that proper chimney height adjustment is a crucial factor in the design and development of solar drying technology, especially for agricultural products such as coffee cherry skin. These findings are expected to serve as the basis for developing more efficient, environmentally friendly dryer designs that support increased added value for coffee derivative products at both the farmer and small-to-medium industry levels.

Abstract

Community economic empowerment through training in processing agricultural waste into compost organic fertilizer. With training in making compost, the aim is to increase farmers' independence and increase soil and plant fertility, thereby providing food diversification for family health and also improving the family economy. This training has great potential because most of the agricultural waste and water weeds, such as water hyacinth plants, are abundant in West Aceh Regency, especially in Arongan Lambalek District in Gunong Pulo Village. There has been an extraordinary increase in fertilizer prices, making it difficult for farmers to use fertilizers that can increase crop yields. Agricultural waste in West Aceh is very abundant, such as rice husks, rice straws, corn harvest residues, and other crops that are not used properly. Likewise, the water hyacinth weed is very disturbing to aquatic ecosystems, and the shallowing of water flows can be used as a basic ingredient for making compost fertilizer. Community service aims to utilize abundant agricultural waste for economic benefits, utilize abundant water weeds to reduce environmental damage, increase soil fertility and human health, and increase local economic independence. The service method consists of theory classes, practical demonstrations, and guided exercises in which participants are involved in guided exercises where they will try to directly make compost by working together to do the whole mixing, stirring, and chopping process. With this dedication, it is hoped that farmer groups will be able to produce vegetables again by making their organic water hyacinth compost fertilizer made from agricultural waste and water weeds.
