Abstract

Research on the effect of the addition phosphorus doping using a syringe pump with the sol-gel method. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition rate of phosphorus doping to the crystal structure and specific surface area of TiO2. Doping increment rate used are 0,4; 0,2; 0,13 and 0,1 ml/hours of TiO2 samples were calcined at 450ºC for 5 hours. The powder was characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD) and surface area analyzer (SAA) by the BET method. XRD diffractogram generally shows that the nanotitania crystal structure phase is anatase which is the result of TTIP synthesis as the main source of TiO2. Particle size analysis using XRD data on TiO2 with different rates in a row that is 10.13; 9.98; 9.25 and 10.33 nm. BET test results for each sample were 86.954; 87,367; 99,694; 96,295 and 96,187 m2/g. The results of XRD characterization can affect the surface area, getting smaller the particle size, the greater surface area will be obtained.

Abstract

In this study, sol-gel method using egg white as emulsifying agent was applied to prepare nano size spinel NixFe3-xO4 (with x = 0.2–1). Sample preparation was carried out by mixing the solution of Fe(NO3)3.9 H2O and Ni(NO3)3.6 H2O with egg white, and then the sample was stirred thoroughly using magnetic stirrer. After freeze–drying process, the sample was subjected to calcination treatment and subsequently characterized. The phase composition was evaluated using the X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique, followed by quantitative analysis using Rietveld and Debye-Scherrer Methods. The functionality of the sample was identified using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, and surface morphology and elemental composition were analyzed using scanning electron microscopycoupled with electron dispersive spectroscopy (SEM/EDS). The results of XRD characterization indicated that materials consist of various crystalline phases, with NiFe2O4 as a major phase. FTIR Analysis revealed the existence of both Lewis and Brønsted–Lowry acid sites, with Lewis acid as the prominent site. The sample was found to display relatively homogeneous surface morphology, having the crystallite size in the range of 33 to 61 nm according to the Debye-Scherrer equation. The EDS data indicated that the ratio of Fe/Ni is in agreement with the composition of the raw materials used.

Abstract

This article describes the synthesis of titania-silica composites by a sol-gel method using a mixture of silica of rice husk and titanium butoxide sols. Microstructures were examined at calcination temperature in the range of 500 to 700 °C, with temperatures interval of 50 °C. The sintered catalysts were subsequently tested for photodegradation of methylene blue (MB) under ultraviolet and sunlight rays. Physical characteristics were analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM)/energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). The XRD results did not show the presence of silica crystal phase in each sample. The results showed that the highest BET surface area of samples was obtained at the temperature of 650 °C. In sample calcined 500 °C, the activity of the catalyst on MB was relatively similar in both sunlight and ultraviolet rays.

Abstract

Hydrothermal methods have been developed for the manufacture of ZnO. This study aims to find out the effects of variation on the chemical composition and structure of nanoZnO, the nanoZnO phase formed and the nanoZnO particle size formed. The NaOH variation used is 1; 2; 3; and 4 grams. The characteristics used are X-Ray Diffactions (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The XRD characterization results show that the diffraction peaks correspond to standard databases and show wurtzite phases with hexagon structures. The results of SEM characterization showed that the mean measurement of ZnO particles and the error value in the 1 gram variation was 67 ± 3 nm, while the 3 gram variation was 76 ± 6 nm.

Abstract

Research has been carried out on the synthesis of nanotitania by hydrothermal as a function of temperature. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of temperature on the phase formation, structure and particle size of TiO2 using the hydrothermal method with TiOSO4 as the main ingredient. In this study, using temperature variations of 150, 200, 250 and 300°C and samples were characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The phases formed are the anatase and rutile phases which have a tetragonal structure and the hilly phase with an orthorhombic structure. The rutile phase appeared predominantly in each sample and the sulfuric phase only appeared at 250ºC. The anatase phase obtains a particle size of 10-18 nm, where the higher the temperature, the bigger the particle size. Furthermore, the rutile phase obtained a particle size of 14-25 nm, where the higher the temperature, the smaller the particle size.

Abstract

Synthesis has been done and characterization of X-ray diffraction (XRD) SnO2 materials produced by the precipitation process from starting materials with SnCl2 variation between ammonia and solvent aquades each one to one up to six. C for 4 hours Sintering temperature of the sample conducted at 1050. The results of qualitative analysis of the sample shows clearly the presence of SnO2 phase with tetragonal crystal structure and space group P42/MNM. The results of refining the XRD data using SnO2 sample Rietveld method between 1.52 to 4.08 2 produces the best matching score ( In general, all cell parameters length is the same sample. In comparison the variation of solvent 1:4, 1:5 and 1:6 high changes in the hkl diffraction peak (110) and (011) as a result of changes in grain size sample.Keywords: Tin Dioxide (SnO2), Presipitation, Rietveld Analysis

Abstract

Penelitian tentang perhitungan burn up pada reaktor HCLWR model geometri kotak tiga dimensi dengan bahan bakar thorium menggunakan kode Corebn telah dilakukan. Perhitungan dilakukan dengan simulasi komputasi menggunakan kode COREBN pada program System Reactor Atomic Code (SRAC). Parameter yang dianalisis pada penelitian ini meliputi pengayaan bahan bakar, periode, total power, dan konfigurasi. Hasil perhitungan memperoleh semakin besar persentase pengayaan pada U233, maka nilai keff akan semakin meningkat. Persentase yang optimal pada pengayaan bahan bakar U1 1% dan U3 4%. Semakin lama periode burnup (385 – 405 hari) dan besar total power (244-247 MWt), maka nilai keff  akan menurun dan nilai CR meningkat. Perubahan konfigrasi memperoleh rapat daya maksimum 336,0367 Watt/cm3dan nilai rapat daya yang konstan pada kolom x baris y, dan z. Desain reaktor yang dapat menghasilkan nilai rasio konversi 1 dengan keff dapat membuat reaktor menyala hingga akhir yaitu ketika pengayaan bahan bakar U1 1% dan U3 3%, periode 150 hari dan fraksi volume 45,0% bahan bakar, 11,3% selongsong, 43,7% moderator.

Abstract

Kompetensi pengelolaan laboratorium yang dimiliki tenaga laboratorium Fisika SMA di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah masih rendah dan laboratorium Fisika belum diberdayakan secara optimal. Kemampuan dan kesempatan untuk mengikuti pelatihan pengelolalaan laboratorium dan pengambangan bagi pengelola laboratorium Fisika SMA masih minim. Tujuan kegiatan adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengelolaan dan penngembangan guru fisika sebagai pengelola laboratorium Fisika SMA di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas hasil pembelajaran berparktikum. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi: tes awal, pemaparan materi (ceramah dan diskusi), dan tes akhir. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan selama dua hari, yaitu tanggal 12—13 Agustus 2020, bertempat di SMAN 1 Terbanggi Besar Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Kegiatan diikuti oleh oleh 35 orang guru, yang berasal dari 18 kecamatan di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Hasil tes awal menunjukkan bahwa nilai tes awal terendah 10, tertinggi 60, dan rata-rata 42,29. Sedangkan hasil tes akhir diperoleh nilai terendah 50, tertinggi 100, dan rata-rata 77,43. Hasil tes menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta yang ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan nilai tes awal dan tes akhir dengan nilai terendah meningkat 40%, nilai tertinggi meningkat 67 %, dan rata-rata meningkat 97 %.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh kadar CaCO3 terhadap pertumbuhan fasa BPSCCO-2223 menggunakan metode pencampuran basah dengan memvariasikan kadar Ca. Sintesis dilakukan dengan melarutkan sampel menggunakan HNO3 dan aquades secara perlahan kemudian dilakukan pengeringan pada suhu 300, 400, dan 600 ℃ secara bertahap. Sampel dikalsinasi selama 10 jam  pada suhu  800 ℃ dan disintering pada suhu 865℃ selama 10 jam. Hasil sintesis superkonduktor dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD, SEM  dan uji Meissner. Hasil XRD menunjukkan  bahwa penambahan kadar Ca berpengaruh terhadap tingkat kemurnian fasa superkonduktor BPSCCO-2223. Pada penelitian ini, kadar Ca yang optimum yaitu Ca 2,05 mol dengan  nilai fraksi volume (Fv) sebesar 79,98%. Sedangkan fraksi volume terendah adalah Ca 1,95 mol sebesar 41,27%. Derajat orientasi yang relatif tinggi terdapat pada sampel Ca 2,10 mol sebesar 7,67% dan terendah terdapat pada Ca 1,95 mol sebesar 0%. Hasil SEM menunjukkan bahwa semua sampel telah memiliki lapisan-lapisan yang tersusun (terorientasi) dengan ruang kosong antara lempengan (void) relatif kecil. Hasil uji-Meissner menunjukkan bahwa Ca 2,05 mol mengalami efek Meissner lemah, sedangkan sampel BPSCCO-2223 yang lain tidak menunjukkan adanya efek Meissner dalam nitrogen cair    (77 K).Kata Kunci : BPSCCO-2223, Derajat Orientasi, Fraksi Volume, Superkonduktor, Uji-Meissner

Abstract

Research has been carried out to analyze the dynamics of the soliton DNA of the Peyrard-Bishop-Dauxois (PBD) model with 4th-order-approximation Morse Potential. The aim of research is to know physical changes of PBD model with  4th-order-approximation Morse Potential on stable and unstable state in describing denaturation process of DNA. The Process was carried out by finding a numerical solution of the 4th-order NLS  as stable equation using finite-difference method. Then, the result was be simulated on Matlab. The results show that on the stable state, expand Morse Potential for 4th-order than for 3th-order rastically increased amplitude of oscillation from 1,89 pm to 16 pm. On the first unstable state, the stable equation  was multiplied by (1+ ) where the value of  = 0.25. On the second unstable state, the stable equation  was multiplied two times by (1+ ) where the value of  = 0.25. On three of them, amplitude of oscillation decreased from 16 pm, 2,9 pm to 2,5 pm. Comparing to previous order, there is a new addtion to the 4th-order Morse Potential coefficient  which have physical meaning that larger expansion requires larger dissociation energy as well. So it can be concluded that the PBD model of DNA is descriptively able to explain the biological phenomenon of denaturation in DNA.
