Abstract

Buku saku sebagai sumber bahan belajar yang membantu dan menyederhanakan agar mampu memahami dengan baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis - jenis tumbuhan paku (Pteridophyta) dan mengetahui kelayakan pada buku saku. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian model Borg and Gall (Persiapan, Perencanaan, Pengembangan, Uji coba dan Revisian) yang merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan jenis tumbuhan paku (Pteridophyta) di hutan lembah pinus terdapat : Tumbuhan Paku Pyrrosia eleagnifolia, Tumbuhan Paku Suplir (Adiantum raddianum), Tumbuhan Paku Sarang Burung (Asplenium nidus), Tumbuhan Paku (Christella parasitica), Tumbuhan Pakis Pedang (Nephrolepis biserrata), Tumbuhan Paku (Anisocampium niponicum), Tumbuhan Paku Diplazium laxifrons, Tumbuhan Paku (Microlepia speluncae), Tumbuhan Paku (Davallia trichomanoides), Tumbuhan Paku Kinca (Nephrolepis exaltata), Tumbuhan Pakis Kutil (Phymatosorus scolopendria), Tumbuhan Pakis kaki kelinci (Davallia denticulate), Tumbuhan Paku Sepat (Neprolepis cordifolia), Tumbuhan Paku (Microsorum punctatum). Hasil kelayakan pada buku saku dengan kategori “ Sangat Layak".

Abstract

Biology education requires a learning strategy that can improve conceptual understanding while developing students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on the learning outcomes of class X students on biodiversity materials at SMA Negeri 1 Melonguane. The research uses a quasi-experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, involving two classes, namely the X-A experimental class taught using the PjBL model with a mini ecosystem project, and the X-D control class. The control class is taught conventionally. The analysis results showed a significant increase in the posttest score of the experimental class with an average of 79.33 compared to the control class with an average of 73.39. These findings indicate that applying the PjBL model effectively creates active learning, increases student engagement, and develops problem-solving skills and creativity. The lower variability of scores in the experimental class showed that PjBL could accommodate differences in students' abilities. Project-based learning also arouses students' motivation and confidence, making Biology learning more contextual and meaningful. The implications of this study show that applying the PjBL model can be an alternative to Biology learning strategies to improve learning outcomes while supporting the development of 21st century skills. This research enriches the literature on Biology learning innovations. It opens opportunities for further studies related to the application of PjBL to other materials or long-term impact analysis on students' academic achievements.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student activities and learning outcomes in the learning of Spermatophyta sub-material through practicum activities based on Exploring the Environment at SMP Negeri 4 Manado. The background of this study is based on the need for a contextual approach to biology learning and being able to increase student engagement actively. The method used was quantitative descriptive research with survey techniques, involving 20 grade VII students and 2 science teachers as respondents. The research instrument consisted of a closed questionnaire, an open interview, and an observation sheet. The questionnaire results showed that students responded very well to this learning method, with an average score of 83.4%. At the same time, teachers rated this approach as effective, with an average of 88%. Observations showed that students were active in practicum activities, enthusiastic in making observations, and involved in group discussions. The interview revealed that this environment-based learning strengthens students' understanding of biological concepts and increases scientific curiosity. The obstacles found include the accuracy of recording and the inequality of roles in group work. However, overall, exploring the Surroundings-based learning has been proven to positively impact student engagement and understanding, especially in connecting theory with real objects in the surrounding environment. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of applying contextual approaches in biology learning and suggest improving guidance strategies and recording of observations in the field for more optimal learning effectiveness.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kerapatan tanaman terbaik pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman dan pengaruh interaksi antara kerapatan tanaman dan pupuk nitrogen terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman paprika. Lahan penelitian berada di ketinggian 600 m dpl, dengan suhu 24 – 26 oC. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah polibag 9 kg, meteran, alat tulis, gunting, kamera, timbangan analitik, dan ayakan. Bahan yang digunakan selama penelitian adalah benih paprika merah, tanah, kompos, pupuk urea (N) dan air. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 48 percobaan. Petak perlakuan penelitian ini adalah: N0: Tanpa pupuk nitrogen (Urea), N1: Pupuk nitrogen 50 kg/ha, N2: Pupuk Nitrogen 100 kg/ha, N3: Pupuk Nitrogen 150 kg/ha dan K1: 20 x 20 Cm, K2: 30 x 30 cm, K3: 40 x 40 cm, K4: 50 x 50 cm. Apabila terdapat pengaruh yang berbeda nyata pada perlakuan, maka dilanjutkan dengan menggunakan uji BNT (Beda Nyata Terkecil) dengan taraf 5%. Pengamatan yang dilakukan meliputi: Tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bobot buah segar per tanaman dan per hektar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jarak tanam yang sesuai untuk pertumbuhan tanaman seperti tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan hasil buah paprika adalah pada jarak tanaman 40 X 40 cm dengan pupuk urea 150 kg/ha. Begitu juga dengan berat segar per tanaman dan per hektar terdapat pada perlakuan yang sama yaitu pada perlakuan N3K3 (pupuk urea 150 kg/ha dan jarak tanam 40 X 40 cm) yang memberikan hasil tertinggi. Kata kunci : Jarak tanam, Paprika, Pertumbuhan tanaman, Urea.

Abstract

Kurangnya minat dan partisipasi siswa dalam proses pembelajaran menjadi salah satu faktor kurangnya efektivitas pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan produk berupa modul pembelajaran digital (e-modul) berbasis PBL menggunakan Generative-AI materi gunung berapi yang menunjang proses pembelajaran sebagai bahan ajar yang baik dan layak untuk digunakan. Penelitian ini digunakan jenis penelitian R&D model Kemp & Dayton yang pada sebelumnya terdapat 9 langkah lalu disederhanakan dan dimodifikasi oleh Rengkuan (2012) menjadi 4 langkah utama, yaitu 1) persiapan, 2) desain, 3) pengembangan dan 4) uji coba. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media diperoleh persentase sebesar 96,6% dan 94,1% sedangkan berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh guru mata pelajaran diperoleh persentase sebesar 93,3% dan hasil responden oleh siswa diperoleh persentase sebesar 92,6%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan sangat valid, layak dan berkualitas.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Project-Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in Animal and Plant Cell material. The background of this research is based on the low achievement of student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Bolaang, which is caused by conventional learning methods that are still dominant and the lack of active involvement of students in the learning process. This study uses a quasi-experimental approach with a nonequivalent control group design. Two VIII classes were selected as samples, namely the experimental class treated with project-based learning and the control class taught conventionally. The instruments used were pretest and posttest essay tests. The analysis results showed a significant increase in the average learning outcomes in the experimental group (81.72) compared to the control group (76.72). The Mann-Whitney statistical test showed a significance value of 0.043, meaning that the two groups had a significant difference in learning outcomes. These findings show that Project-Based Learning encourages students' active engagement, creativity, and deep understanding of biological concepts. This research strengthens the evidence that project-based learning is an effective strategy for improving student learning outcomes and is relevant to the middle level science curriculum. Implicitly, teachers are encouraged to integrate this model in contextual and collaborative science learning.

Abstract

The study used a pseudo-experimental design with a posttest-only control group design pattern. The population included the entire class VII, and the sample was randomly selected of two equivalent parallel classes, totaling 22 students each. The experimental class received the discovery learning treatment, while the control class used conventional methods. The research instrument is in the form of learning outcome tests in the form of objectives and essays that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed through normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test of two independent samples at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed significant differences between the two groups. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 80.68 higher than the control class of 72.72. The analysis of the t-test yielded a t_hitung value of 2.74 greater than t_tabel 2.01, which means that the null hypothesis was rejected. The frequency distribution in the experimental class also showed a concentration of scores in the high category, while the control class was more dominant in the medium category. These findings confirm that discovery learning not only improves cognitive learning outcomes, but also encourages students' active engagement, motivation, and critical thinking skills. This study concludes that the implementation of discovery learning is effective in improving science learning outcomes in the classification of living things. Implicitly, teachers are advised to integrate this approach as an alternative to student-centered science learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the obstacles faced by biology teachers and students in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at St. Rosa De Lima Catholic High School in Tondano. The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes freedom of thought, project-based learning, and the development of critical and collaborative thinking skills, but its implementation still faces obstacles at the secondary school level. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of one biology teacher and ten students of class X. Data were analyzed descriptively, qualitatively, and quantitatively with percentage support to describe the level of resistance based on four main indicators: learning process, teaching materials, assessment, and curriculum information. The results of the study show that teachers' obstacles in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum are relatively low with an average of 18.6%, especially in terms of time management, limited laboratory facilities, and limited digital learning resources. In contrast, internal student factors such as interest, motivation, readiness, and attention had an average of 67.17%, while external factors included family, school environment, and community support at 55.5%. These findings indicate that the success of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum depends on the pedagogical readiness of teachers, the availability of learning facilities, and the support of a conducive learning environment. This research contributes to providing an empirical picture of the challenges of implementing the Independent Curriculum in biology learning and becomes the basis for the development of adaptive, collaborative, and student-centered learning strategies.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan LKPD-Elektronik terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi sistem reproduksi manusia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Remboken yang pelaksanaannya pada bulan April 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain pre-test post-test control group desain. Terdapat dua sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu, kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrument yang digunakan berupa instrument tes dalam bentuk LKPD-Elektronik. Berdasarkan analisis data tes, diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik materi sistem reproduksi manusia pada peserta didik SMA. Berdasarkan pada hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t mendapatkan hasil yaitu, nilai thitung = 5,91 dan nilai ttabel = 1,69 dengan taraf signifikan 0,05. Terlihat bahwa thitung > ttabel sehingga Ho ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat dengan menggunakan model PBL berbantuan LKPD-Elektronik.

Abstract

Data yang diperoleh dari penilaian harian biologi siswa kelas X masih tetap rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh penggunaan teknik pengajaran tradisional, seperti ceramah, yang gagal melibatkan siswa dalam berpikir aktif dan kritis, sehingga menghambat partisipasi mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, siswa sering mengalami rasa bosan dan sibuk dengan berbagai kesibukan sehingga mengakibatkan kurangnya pemahaman terhadap isi pembelajaran yang disampaikan oleh guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak pendekatan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap prestasi akademik siswa pada mata pelajaran biologi di SMA Negeri 1 Tabukan Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen, dengan jumlah sampel dua kelas: X-IPA 1 yang berjumlah 25 siswa, dan X-IPA 2 yang juga berjumlah 25 siswa. Pendekatan analisis uji t terdiri dari uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Pengujian hipotesis menghasilkan nilai thitung sebesar 3,86 lebih besar dari nilai ttabel sebesar 2,01 pada tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Sesuai dengan syarat pengujian hipotesis, maka hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning mempunyai dampak terhadap prestasi akademik siswa pada disiplin ilmu biologi di SMA Negeri 1 Tabukan Selatan.
