Abstract

Avian Influenza Disease (AI) is a disease that can cause high mortality up to 100% in laying hens so it is very harmful. One of the strategic steps of AI disease control and prevention is vaccination by inducing immunity before infection with avian influenza disease. AI vaccine development strategy is needed to increase the company's market share of the organization. The purpose of this research is to analyze the development strategy of AI vaccine according to the requirement of laying chicken breeder in West Java. Data analysis uses quality function deployment (QFD). The result of the research indicates that the consumer's priority of absolute weight is the composition (5,51), laboratory service (3,78), certification (3,42) and price (3,33). Technical requirements as a step to translate customer requirements into technical steps to achieve a match between AI vaccines developed with consumer desires from absolute weight values is to make coctail compositions 89, set competitive prices (75), to vary the packaging volume (64) ) and from the relative weight value of making the coctail composition 88, setting the competing price (65), making the product innovation a viral content update based on disease progression in the field (56), making the smaller dosage pack volume (55). Managerial implications based on research results which is recommended to manufacturers to meet consumer needs is to focus on development, improvement, planning and control to the priority of the variables that are concerned with designing AI vaccine products.Keywords: avian influenza, laying hens, strategies of improving, vaccine AI, quality function deployment

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze factors that directly and indirectly affecting the employee performance of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). There were 150 respondents involved in this research taken by with a sample pulling technique using the proportional random sampling. This research methodology used descriptive analysis and SEM analysis with PLS methods. The results showed that individual factors, psychological factors and organizational factors directly affect the performance of the administration staff. Individual psychological factors and organizational factors also influence indirectly to the performance of the administration staff through psychological factors. Organizational factor is the dominant factor affecting the performance of administration staff of IPB.Keywords: individual factors, psychological factors, organizational factors, the performance of employees, partial least square (PLS).ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kinerja tenaga kependidikan di Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung serta menganalisis faktor dominan yang berpengaruh. Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 150 orang dengan teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan proportional random sampling. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan metode Partial Least Square (PLS). Variabel laten pada penelitian ini adalah faktor individu, faktor psikologi, faktor organisasi dan kinerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor individu, faktor psikologi dan faktor organisasi berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap kinerja tenaga kependidikan di IPB. Faktor individu, psikologi, dan organisasi juga berpengaruh secara tidak langsung terhadap kinerja tenaga kependidikan melalui faktor psikologi. Faktor organisasi merupakan faktor dominan yang berpengaruh terhadap kinerja tenaga kependidikan di IPB.Kata kunci : faktor individu, faktor psikologi, faktor organisasi, kinerja pegawai, partial least square (PLS).

Abstract

This study aimed to identify and analyze product attributes that affect the quality management of the beef production process in PT. Elders Indonesia, as well as to evaluate the quality management system and food safety management system, and formulate alternative improvement strategies on product attributes that are in line with consumer desires and expectations. The research method used brainstorming to identify product attributes, QFD analysis to determine the specifications of consumer needs and desires, self-assessment for the assessment of the application of SMM and SMKP, HACCP for identification of hazards in the production process, and AHP for the formulation of alternative priority improvement strategies. The results of the study showed that there were 15 attributes that the consumers considered when buying beef in PT. Elders Indonesia. Meanwhile the elements of ISO 9001: 2008 quality management in the production and HACCP food safety management system as a whole have been fulfilled and have been applied well. Based on the identification of critical control points at the process stage, there are 4 critical control points that must be considered by PT. Elders Indonesia. AHP analysis results showed that fat thickness (0.457) is the main improvement priority that must be conducted by the company.Keywords: quality management, product attributes, beef, slaughterhousesAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis atribut-atribut produk yang berpengaruh pada manajemen mutu proses produksi daging sapi di RPH PT. Elders Indonesia, serta mengevaluasi sistem manajemen mutu dan sistem manajemen keamanan pangan, merumuskan alternatif strategi perbaikan pada atribut produk yang sesuai dengan keinginan dan harapan konsumen. Metode penelitian menggunakan brainstorming untuk identifikasi atribut produk, analisis QFD untuk menetapkan spesifikasi kebutuhan dan keinginan konsumen, self Assessment untuk penilaian penerapan SMM dan SMKP, HACCP untuk identifikasi bahaya pada proses produksi, AHP untuk perumusan alternatif strategi prioritas perbaikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa yang menjadi pertimbangan konsumen dalam membeli daging sapi PT. Elders Indonesia sebanyak 15 atribut. Sementara itu unsur-unsur manajemen mutu ISO 9001:2008 pada bagian produksi dan sistem manajemen keamanan pangan HACCP secara keseluruhan telah dipenuhi dan telah diaplikasikan dengan baik. Berdasarkan identifikasi titik kendali kritis pada tahapan proses diperoleh empat titik kendali kritis yang harus diperhatikan oleh PT. Elders Indonesia. Hasil analisis AHP menunjukan bahwa ketebelan lemak (0,457) merupakan prioritas perbaikan utama yang harus dilakukan perusahaan.Kata kunci: atribut produk, manajemen mutu, daging sapi, rumah pemotongan hewan

Abstract

One of the popular technology-based services is online transportation. The company provides transportation services that can be accessed through an application on a smartphone. Therefore, the technology readiness of consumers needs to estimate the perception and behavior of the consumer. This research compared online transportation in Indonesia and Thailand by identifying the characteristics and technology readiness of online transportation consumers and the influence of technology readiness towards behavioral intention. This research was conducted in Indonesia and Thailand by a survey on 500 university students who were the online transportation consumers. The study used descriptive analysis and Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis. Data processing used Mirosoft Excel 2010 software and SMART PLS. The results showed that consumer’s perception in Indonesia and Thailand was no different. In hypothesis test found that two accepted hypotheses, H1: optimism affected behavioral intention, and H5: favorableness affected behavioral intention. Perusahaan menyediakan layanan transportasi yang dapat diakses melalui aplikasi pada smartphone. Oleh karena itu, kesiapan teknologi konsumen perlu dilihat untuk memperkirakan persepsi dan perilaku konsumen. Penelitian ini akan menganalisis perbandingan transportasi online di Indonesia dan Thailand, di mana tujuannya adalah untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik dan kesiapan teknologi transportasi online konsumen di Indonesia dan Thailand dan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kesiapan teknologi terhadap niat perilaku pada konsumen transportasi online. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Indonesia dan Thailand dengan menggunakan kuesioner kepada 500 mahasiswa yang merupakan konsumen transportasi online. Metode yang adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis Partial Least Squares (PLS). Pemrosesan data menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak Mirosoft Excel 2010 dan SMART PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi konsumen di Indonesia dan Thailand memiliki hasil yang tidak jauh berbeda. Dalam pengujian hipotesis ditemukan dua hipotesis yang diterima, H1 yang menyatakan bahwa optimisme berpengaruh pada niat perilaku dan H5 yang menyatakan bahwa kesukaan berpengaruh pada niat perilaku. Abstract

Avian Influenza Disease (AI) has has evolved continuously that impact on economic losses incurred. Deaths can reach 90% -100%. AI’s prevention strategies one of them is a vaccinations. AI vaccine design choice is important for breeders in accordance with the needs and the field. This research aims to analyze poultry farmer preference to AI vaccine product design. Data analysis using descriptive tabulation and Descrete Choice Experiment (DCE) followed regression of multinominal logit to look for influencing variables. The results showed that farmer preference to AI vaccine choice isvaccine design model (F) 28%,vaccine (D) 23%, vaccine (E) 22%, vaccine (C) 16%, vaccine (B) 8% and vaccine (A) 3%.Vaccine (F) is predominantly a breeder preference where has the highest level of category combinations. Variables that have answers to design decisions are vaccine design (D) design solutions and services (D), options for vaccine selection (E), and vaccine selection service (B). Breeders in vaccine selection are more concerned with quality variables and who provide laboratory services because they are a major factor in the success of vaccination programs.

Abstract

Endorser credibility is one of factors which influence muslim fashion development. In the other hand, it is the challenge for Indonesia is to be a centre of muslim fashion in the world. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of endorser credibility on purchase intention with three types consumers. A technique of sampling method in this research was quota purposive sampling. Total sample size was 225 respondents from each 75 housewives, 75 employees, and 75 female students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistic and SEM with PLS Approach. The results of this study shows that the credibility endorser have significant effect on purchase intention to female students. While the brand credibility and advertising credibility partially have no significant effect on purchase intention. On the type consumer housewives and employees partially have no significant effect on purchase intention. Simultaneously, advertising credibility and brand credibility affect significantly on purchase intention

Abstract

Abstract. Bata shoes was the first top brand Indonesia in 2015-2017,  however, Bata’s selling rate come through decreased. The purpose of this study was to analyze brand equity ten influence towards purchase intention and purchase decision. Technique of sampling method in this research was quota purposive sampling. Total sample size was 200 respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistic and Structural Equation Model (SEM) version 3.2.1 SMART PLS. This study shows that purchase intention of hedonistic consumers is influenced by brand awareness, brand associations, and brand loyalty. Purchase intention has influence on current purchase and future purchase. Current purchases of hedonistic consumers has influence on future purchases. Purchase intention of utilitarian consumers is influenced by perceived quality and brand loyalty. Meanwhile, purchase intention affects current purchase. In addition, future purchases of utilitarian consumers is influenced by current purchases. Thus, the results of this research would benefit to PT Bata, Tbk as considerating on formulating strategy of strong brand building in increasing sale and facing market competition

Abstract

The Regional Head Election campaign frequently uses electronic Word of Mouth (eWOM) communication because of social media's growth and the Covid-19 pandemic that took place during the election year. In commercial brands, eWOM impact has influence brand equity and purchase decisions. However, in political brands, this has not been proven. Therefore, by using the regional head candidate of Purbalingga Regency as a political brand, this study examines the effect of eWOM on developing candidate brand equity and relates it to voting intention. Brand equity using a brand pyramid model with brand equity forming variables consisting of a candidate brand awareness, a candidate brand performance-imagery, a candidate brand judgment-feelings, and a candidate brand resonance. The study involved 260 respondents who are people of Purbalingga Regency who may vote and use social media. The sampling method used was purposive sampling by conducting direct interviews with respondents. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM PLS) analysis. The results showed that electronic Word of Mouth has a positive and significant effect on brand equity development variables. Developing brand equity affects the voting intention on candidate brand awareness and candidate brand resonance. The Result of this study found electronic Word of Mouth to have no direct influence on voting intention.

Abstract

In the provision of product for halal quality, there were several criterias that must be met in terms of the types of materials or substances (material), the procedure of preparation and how to get it. Products that was studied were cattle hides, but these products were not automatically considered as halal products, without a tracking process and standardization using applied halal standard, even though the origin of these raw material of products do not infringe the requirements of halal. To perform a traceability gelatin raw materials, a system was needed which allows the user to obtain information about the origin of raw materials and the quality process at every stage to the finished · products effectively. Tracking system (traceability system) involved several parties, who have different needs and goals in the process of providing raw materials. Therefore institutional systems engineering was needed to manage the tracking process and bridge the procurement of gelatine raw materials, in order to guarantee the quality of products. It can be used to facilitate the industry and users to create a gelatine standard quality such as standardization of halal quality. The purpose of this study was to formulate the institutional tracking model of raw material for gelatin industrial from cattle hide based on various criteria and assessment of experts. The method used in this study were Interpretative Structural  Madding (ISM) to formulate an institutional tracking model of raw material for gelatine industrial from cattle hide efficiently, Analytical Hirarchy Process (AHP) to select the traceability strategy of raw materials for gelatine industrial from cattle hide, and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). to analyze optimal performance of the selected model. The results of this study was key elements of institutional tracking system of raw material for gelatine industrial from cattle hide that most influent in the development of gelatine industry and tracking strategies of raw material for gelatin industrial from cattle hide in Indonesia, as well as the optimal model to implement the strategies.

Abstract

In recent years, various brands of mobile phones have dominated Indonesia and Malaysia market. Most of them are imported from other countries, such as China, America, Europe, and South Korea which are highly competitive by offering the variety of designs and functions. To compete with other competitors, Indonesian telecommunication industry needs to focus on brand management, especially in building brand preference. The aims of this research to examine factors affecting brand preference. Questionnaire surveys have been conducted to 200 respondents in Indonesia & Malaysia. Data were analyzed by descriptive and Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). SEM PLS has been conducted in order to examine the relative impact of the identified factors on brand preference. The major findings are there were differences factors affecting brand preference of mobile phone between Indonesian consumers and Malaysian consumers. Indonesian consumers are more focused on brand awareness when they have to choose mobile phone brands. On the other hands, Malaysian consumers are more focused on brand experience.
