Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mathematical problem-solving abilities of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Kabun. One solution to overcome this problem is to use Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach.This research aims to determine whether or not there is an influence between student who use the RME approach and student who use a conventional approach on problem solving abilities. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a posttest only design with nonequivalent group. The research subjects consisted of class VIII A, totaling 27 students and VIII B, totaling 27 students. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The data collection techniques used were observation sheets and mathematical problem-solving ability test questions. The results of this research can be concluded that the RME approach can influence the mathematical problem-solving abilities of class VIII students at SMPN 2 Kabun. This can be proven through the t test from the two groups, it was found that  2,00 with a significance level of α5%. Because the value of (6,94  2,00) then is rejected and  is accepted

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the CT  abilities of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bangkinang Kota. CT  ability is an ability that students must have and to find out to what extent these CT abilities have developed and been fulfilled by students. This research is a qualitative descriptive research.  The research subjects were all class VIII students, totaling 36 students. The data collect ion techniques used were interviews and tests. The results of this research can be concluded that the high category (KT) subjects can understood the question information correctly in worked on CT  ability questions, can answered questions according to the CT  ability indicators, answer correctly and can also made conclusions  from the answers obtained and check  again. to ensure the  corrected of the answer. Likewise, subjects in the medium category (KS) are quite good at found information from the questions, but do not understood the answers to the questions themselves. Medium category students can also made conclusions from the answers they get. Meanwhile, low category subjects (KR) were unable to understood the questions, found the right information and drew conclusions when solving the CT  ability test questions.

Abstract

The widespread use of smartphones in public places has driven the adoption of power banks as a solution for power needs. However, power banks have several drawbacks. To address these needs in public places, charger station systems have been widely implemented, including solar panel-based charger stations as their power source. These developments have also extended to commercial applications, allowing the use of charger station facilities in public places to be subject to specific charges. In this study, a solar charger station system with coin-operated payment for electricity was developed. Additionally, for system security, a feature was added to limit the current flow to the load to a specific amount. The charger station was built using several components, including solar panels, solar charge controllers, and batteries, which are integrated to produce electricity. An inverter is used to convert DC current into AC current, which is then connected to electrical terminals via a solid-state relay switch. Arduino Uno is used to control the electrical connection from the inverter to the terminal through the solid-state relay based on data from the coin acceptor and the PZEM-004T sensor. An LCD is also used to display information required by the users. The test results showed that the solar charger station system could successfully charge smartphones using 1,000-rupiah coins with a 100% success rate. With a rate of 1,000 rupiahs per 40Wh, the charger station system can disconnect the power supply to each load after consuming 40Wh of electricity. Additionally, the system is capable of disconnecting the load when the attached load exceeds 40W.

Abstract

White oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) have high economic value due to their nutritional content and the increasing market demand. However, optimizing an effective and environmentally friendly growing medium remains a challenge. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in growing media enriched with organic waste from coffee husks, sugarcane bagasse, and cocoa husks on the growth and yield of oyster mushrooms. The research was conducted from May to September 2023 at Bee Jamur, Peguyangan Village, Bali. The method used was a split-plot design. The first factor, as the main plot, consisted of three types of organic waste: coffee husks (L1), cocoa husks (L2), and sugarcane bagasse (L3). The second factor, as the subplot, comprised eight organic waste compositions: K1 = 100% sawdust (control); K2 = 15% organic waste (LO); K3 = 25% LO; K4 = 35% LO; K5 = 45% LO; K6 = 55% LO; K7 = 65% LO; K8 = 75% LO. The results showed that using organic waste as an additive in the growing medium increased mycelium growth speed, wet weight, and the physical characteristics of the oyster mushrooms compared to the control. The medium with the addition of coffee husks yielded the best results in terms of growth and mushroom production. Furthermore, organoleptic tests showed that mushrooms grown using sugarcane bagasse media were the most preferred in aroma, texture, and taste. Abstract

Saat ini Portunus sanguinolentus merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan yang mengalami penurunan populasi akibat tekanan eksploitasi dan kerusakan habitat atau lingkungan. Hal ini berdampak pada perubahan struktur populasi dan strategi reproduksi P. sanguinolentus, dengan parameter yang dapat berubah antara lain ukuran gonad pertama yang mengecil, perubahan daerah dan musim pemijahan, serta perubahan keseimbangan rasio jenis kelamin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dinamika populasi P. sanguinolentus di Kabupaten Pati Jawa Tengah dan bermanfaat bagi industri pengolahan untuk menghasilkan suatu produk baru. Data dan informasi diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan pencacahan yang dilakukan di setiap tempat pendaratan ikan. Pengumpulan data hasil tangkapan dilakukan di daerah penangkapan ikan kurang dari 12 mil dengan kedalaman maksimal 15 m selama 5 bulan. Perangkat lunak FISAT II digunakan untuk menganalisis parameter pertumbuhan, tingkat kematian, dan tingkat eksploitasi. Diperoleh data berat badan sebesar 7,72 kg dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 107 ind yang terdiri dari 46 ekor betina dengan rata-rata lebar 106,24 mm dan 61 ekor jantan dengan lebar 103,95 mm, serta rata-rata berat seluruh sampel 74,26 g.

Abstract

Rajungan (Portunus pelagicus) tersebar luas di perairan daerah penangkapan ikan sebagai sumber tangkapan nelayan di Selat Tiworo. Kawasan pesisir Selat Tiworo mempunyai potensi rajungan yang banyak. Oleh karena itu, lokasi ini dijadikan sebagai salah satu lokasi percontohan proyek pengelolaan rajungan berkelanjutan dari Asosiasi Pengelolaan Rajungan Indonesia (APRI). Pertumbuhan, kematian total, kematian alami, kematian penangkapan, dan laju eksploitasi merupakan parameter populasi rajungan yang perlu diketahui agar pengelolaan perikanan dapat dilakukan secara berkelanjutan. Telah dilakukan kajian parameter populasi rajungan di Selat Tiworo berdasarkan data frekuensi lebar karapas yang dikumpulkan pada bulan Juli hingga Desember 2021 dan dianalisis menggunakan FISAT (FAO-Iclarm Stock Assessment Tool) II. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 7.809 sampel, dimana jumlah rajungan jantan sebanyak 3.295 sampel dan betina sebanyak 4.514 sampel. Rata-rata ukuran lebar karapas rajungan yang ditangkap adalah 107,57 mm untuk jantan dan 110,65 mm untuk betina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan laju pertumbuhan (K) sebesar 1,01/tahun, laju kematian total (Z) sebesar 0,67/tahun, laju kematian alami (M) sebesar 1,25/tahun, dan laju kematian penangkapan ikan sebesar 0,58/tahun. tahun. Tingkat eksploitasi (E) rajungan sebesar 0,86 menunjukkan gejala eksploitasi berlebihan, sehingga pengelolaan berkelanjutan atas rajungan di perairan tersebut harus dilakukan untuk menjaga ketersediaan dan keberlanjutan stok sumber daya rajungan. Abstract

Desa Pagagan Kecamatan Pademawu khususnya anggota nelayan “Berkah Capit Biru” berpotensi sebagai lokasi pengelolaan perikanan rajungan berkelanjutan karena memiliki hasil perikanan rajungan yang melimpah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan semangat kepada para nelayan untuk tidak selalu melakukan aktivitas penangkapan rajungan di alam agar alam tetap lestari dan untuk meningkatkan potensi sumber daya alam dan manusia yang antusias terhadap pembesaran rajungan di desa Pagagan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari hingga Mei 2022. Lokasi penangkaran kepiting berukuran 8x10 meter, memiliki substrat pasir berlumpur, dan berada di kawasan pantai yang berbatasan dengan ekosistem mangrove. Tiang-tiang kayu yang dianyam dari bambu dengan jaring di sekelilingnya dipasang lebih tinggi dari gelombang. Teknik perluasan ini tidak menggunakan aerasi berupa roda melainkan hanya memanfaatkan kondisi pasang surut sehingga terjadi pergantian air secara berkala di lokasi. Tahapan dalam teknik pembesaran rajungan adalah 1) pemilihan lokasi, 2) pembangunan, 3) penebaran benih, 4) pemberian pakan, 5) pengendalian, dan 6) pemanenan. Teknik pembesaran ini menjadi solusi bagi nelayan rajungan untuk memenuhi stok pasar. Kata Kunci: rajungan, teknik pembesaran, perikanan skala kecil
