Abstract

Amid rising challenges of intolerance, social polarization, and the strengthening of exclusive religious sentiments, interreligious dialogue has become a strategic instrument for nurturing diversity and reinforcing national harmony. This study examines how interreligious dialogue contributes to strengthening the pillars of harmony as outlined in the concept of the Tri Kerukunan Umat Beragama (Three Pillars of Religious Harmony). It also explores the extent to which this concept remains relevant and effective in addressing the current dynamics of religious diversity in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of dialogue as a mechanism of cross-faith communication in fostering mutual understanding, cultivating respect for differences, and promoting harmonious social relations within a pluralistic society. Using a qualitative approach through a comprehensive literature review, this study investigates various scholarly works related to interfaith dialogue, religious harmony, and Indonesia’s socio-religious landscape.The findings indicate that interreligious dialogue functions not only as a means of resolving differences and preventing conflict but also as a transformative space that strengthens trust, cooperation, and solidarity across religious communities. Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) plays a vital role in shaping students’ moral values and Islamic identity. However, its implementation in Muslim minority contexts is constrained by structural, social, and cultural challenges. This qualitative case study explores the limitations of IRE and identifies adaptive strategies in Nagori Tongah Village, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving IRE teachers, school principals, Muslim community leaders, and parents, and were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model with triangulation. The findings indicate that IRE in Muslim minority settings faces limitations including a shortage of qualified teachers, inadequate facilities, weak institutional and policy support, and strong socio-cultural influences from non-Muslim environments. These constraints hinder the effective internalization of Islamic values, which remains largely cognitive rather than practical. The study highlights the urgency of contextual and collaborative educational approaches grounded in multicultural principles to strengthen IRE in Muslim minority areas. This research contributes to the development of inclusive and sustainable Islamic Religious Education policies and practices in minority contexts.

Abstract

Information technology (IT) infrastructure planning plays a strategic role in supporting organizational performance and achieving business objectives. However, many organizations experience misalignment between IT infrastructure planning and organizational needs, leading to inefficiencies, limited system integration, and suboptimal utilization of IT investments (Maulana, 2024; Njanka et al., 2025). This study aims to analyze the suitability of IT infrastructure planning with organizational needs using a quantitative approach. The research framework integrates the Strategic Alignment Model (SAM), Strategic Alignment Maturity Model (SAMM), and COBIT 2019 governance principles. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to IT managers and system users. A total of 85 valid responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics and gap analysis. The results indicate that IT infrastructure planning is moderately aligned with organizational needs, particularly in supporting operational activities. Nevertheless, significant gaps were identified in system integration, scalability, and long-term infrastructure planning. These findings highlight the importance of continuous evaluation and governance-based IT planning to enhance alignment and ensure sustainable organizational performance.
