Abstract

Philosophy of science has an important role in the preparation of scientific work, especially in management science, by providing a conceptual framework that integrates aspects of ontology, epistemology and axiology. This research discusses the application of the philosophy of science in the entire research process, starting from problem formulation, developing a theoretical framework, to presenting findings. The philosophy of science approach allows the selection of relevant research paradigms and valid methods to produce applicable and ethical solutions. In addition, philosophy of science contributes to the development of new paradigms, strengthening research ethics, and increasing creativity in scientific research. By using a literature review approach, this research provides insight into how the philosophy of science supports the development of management science through knowledge validation and systematic methodological testing

Abstract

This article discusses the application of deductive and inductive methods in management, which are relevant in facing modern business challenges. Deductive methods, which move from general principles to specific cases, are used to confirm decisions based on established theories, whereas inductive methods, which move from specific observations to generalizations, allow the formation of new theories based on empirical data. These two methods have complementary advantages and disadvantages; deductive excels in efficiency and systematic logic, but is limited to initial premises, while inductive offers flexibility in understanding complex situations, although it risks producing less valid generalizations. The integration of deductive and inductive methods can provide a holistic approach, helping organizations make decisions that are evidence-based, adaptive, and relevant to specific contexts

Abstract

How to increase the profits (profitability) for MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) is to facilitate the economic empowerment. The aim of implementing service to MSMEs in the Muhammadiyah area in Medan is to find the various problems of MSMEs which only gain profits when Muhammadiyah enterprises activities in educational schools. MSMEs tend to stagnate in terms of their profit and product levels, in addition to the minimal role of Muhammadiyah leadership in providing moral and material support (financing). The results of dedication to empowering MSMEs in the Muhammadiyah area of Medan include creating strategies including collaboration between MSMEs in the Muhammadiyah enterprises in Medan by selling products to Muhammadiyah members and sympathizers. Apart from that, MSME product innovation is really needed in order to provide interest to (potential) consumers not only in the market segment within the Muhammadiyah area, but also outdoor Muhammadiyah area. The final solution in this empowerment is the concern of Muhammadiyah enterprises leaders and Muhammadiyah leadership as Muhammadiyah enterprises management towards MSMEs to provide moral and material support (providing access to financing) in the Muhammadiyah economic movement

Abstract

Revolutions in science and technology have occurred many times, with great and unexpected consequences. Philosophy is the mother of all sciences that develop in the world, philosophy plays an important role in every development of science. Management philosophy is a collection of knowledge and beliefs that provide a broad basis or basis for determining problem solving. This study uses a literature study research method. One type of research is called library research and involves various text reference materials to see which ones are still relevant to this problem. Documentation techniques will be used as a collection method for this final assignment. Researchers collect various sources and key notes that are still relevant to the problem as part of the documentation process, which in itself is a method used by researchers. Using this approach makes it much easier to obtain accurate and complete data. The four perspectives of epistemological and ontological formations provide a framework for management to know how they act as managers of an organization. The industrial revolution 4.0 will also have an impact on changing lifestyles and community habits. For companies that cannot respond to the impact of these changes, they will be crushed by themselves. Thus, human resource management in an organization/company needs to design a program that can align the need to achieve organizational/business goals with the existence of its human resources.

Abstract

This research aims to understand how the application of religious, moral/ethical and traditional values affects organizational performance. It also explores the challenges faced by managers in implementing these values in management practices, as well as how these values can shape an organizational culture that supports sustainability and business ethics. This research uses a qualitative approach, with the Grounded Theory method to develop theories based on empirical data collected. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and document analysis, focusing on the phenomenon of applying religious, moral/ethical, and traditional values in the organization. The results show that religious, moral/ethical, and traditional values contribute significantly to improving organizational performance. Religious values such as honesty, justice, and responsibility create a harmonious and productive work environment. Morals/ethics support customer and stakeholder trust, while tradition strengthens organizational culture and employee loyalty. Abstract

The purpose to examine the use of QRIS whether it is able to increase the income of MSMEs in the city of Medan, Indonesia. The novelty recommendations for the use of QRIS for MSMEs in Medan City. The type of research uses primary research techniques by collecting data directly in the field, namely the respondents are MSME actors in Medan City. The Implication can Providing input to MSMEs to use QRIS because it can increase their income and Islamic banks to improve QRIS product innovation, especially risk mitigation and real time.The results showed that the increase in MSME income in Medan City stated that the use of the QRIS payment system had a positive and significant effect on increasing MSME income in Medan City. Constraints from using QRIS for MSMEs There are still those who do not understand how to use QRIS, both from business actors and their customers; network constrained; the slow process of disbursing funds in real time; and there is a fee for using QRIS that is charged to merchants.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji peran filsafat ilmu dalam pengembangan teori dan praktik Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia (MSDM), dengan fokus pada penerapan prinsip-prinsip etika dan metodologi. Dalam konteks MSDM, filsafat ilmu menawarkan kerangka teoritis yang memperkuat kebijakan organisasi terkait keadilan, transparansi, dan pengelolaan sumber daya manusia yang lebih inklusif. Prinsip keadilan distributif dan keadilan prosedural, yang diambil dari teori filsafat moral, berperan penting dalam menciptakan kebijakan rekrutmen, promosi, dan evaluasi yang adil dan merata. Selain itu, integrasi metodologi positivistik dan konstruktivistik dalam penelitian MSDM memberikan pandangan yang lebih komprehensif. Metode kuantitatif memberikan bukti empiris yang mendukung pengambilan keputusan berbasis data, sementara pendekatan kualitatif menggali wawasan tentang dinamika interpersonal dan budaya organisasi. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan prinsip etika dan metodologi filsafat ilmu dapat meningkatkan efektivitas kebijakan MSDM dengan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih adil, efisien, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This research explores the relationship between philosophical understanding of ontology and axiology and the implementation of sustainable management policies. In the context of current environmental and social challenges, understanding the nature of organizations (intology) and ethical values ​​(axiology) is very important in formulating policies that can survive in the long term. In an effort to understand the dynamics between philosophical factors and sustainable management practices, this research uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research results show that an ontological understanding of natural resources is closely related to policy effectiveness, where organizations that adopt strong ethical and social values ​​tend to be more successful in implementing sustainability practices. In addition, community involvement in decision making has been proven to increase the credibility and success of policies. These findings provide practical recommendations for organizations to integrate philosophical values ​​in their training and policy development. Although this study provides valuable insights, there are limitations related to the sample size and sector focus examined, which need to be addressed in future research to gain a more comprehensive understanding of managerial sustainability.

Abstract

Philosophy of science is an important foundation in the development and preparation of scientific work, including in the field of management science. This article aims to analyze the application of the principles of philosophy of science, namely epistemology, ontology, and axiology, in management research through a literature review. The findings show that epistemology provides guidance for validity and data collection methods, ontology helps in understanding the nature of organizational reality, and axiology ensures that research is ethical and makes significant practical contributions. In addition, the study identified methodological approaches often used in management research, including positivism, post-positivism, and mixed methods, demonstrating the relevance of scholarly paradigms in understanding organizational complexity. Implications of the findings include contributing to the development of new paradigms in management science and providing practical guidance for structuring more valid, relevant, and ethically responsible research. The article's conclusion asserts that philosophy of science not only builds theoretical foundations but also strengthens the quality of management research, enabling the development of scholarly work that is meaningful to both the academic community and organizational practice. Recommendations are given for integrating philosophy of science in research education and training to enhance the relevance and impact of future research outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose—This study examines the impact of e-service quality on e-loyalty among female online shoppers in Medan, with e-trust and e-satisfaction as mediating factors.Methodology—The research population of research population is all female people in Medan City who are making online purchases on Facebook and Instagram applications. This study used a non-probability sampling method, using an online questionnaire administered through Google Forms to collect data from 170 people. Data were analyzed with the help of the SmartPLS program and structural equation modeling.   Findings – The results showed that e-service quality positively and significantly affects e-satisfaction (p0.05). E-service quality positively and significantly affects e-trust. E-service quality positively and significantly affects e-loyalty. E-satisfaction positively and significantly affects e-loyalty. E-trust positively and significantly affects e-loyalty. E-satisfaction positively and significantly plays a role in mediating the effect of e-service quality on e-loyalty. E-trust positively and significantly plays a role in mediating the effect of e-service quality on e-loyalty.Originality/Novelty – This research model includes four variables and utilizes the notion of mediation by using SEM-PLS to evaluate each relationship in the model.Implications—This study's results are expected to be input and a foundation for Facebook and Instagram application users and companies, helping them determine the right strategy to increase consumer e-loyalty.
