Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efek eko-enzim terhadap produksi telur, fertilitas, daya tetas ayam IPB-D1. Ayam yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu sebayak 96 ekor (72 betina dan 24 jantan). Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan, tiap ulangan ada 4 ekor ayam (1 jantan, 3 betina). Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu: P1 = air minum tanpa eko-enzim (kontrol), P2 = 1 cc eko-enzim/L air minum / 3 hari, P3 = 2 cc eko-enzim/L air minum /3 hari, P4 = 3 cc eko-enzim/L air minum/ 3 hari. Jumlah telur yang digunakan untuk mengamati kualitas telur yaitu sebanyak 72 butir, 6 butir tiap perlakuan, dan 3 ulangan. Hasil analisis statistik berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap produksi telur, fertilitas, dan daya tetas. Perlakuan P3 memberikan produksi telur, fertilitas dan daya tetas lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya. Kesimpulan pemberian eko-enzim dengan dosis 2 cc/L air minum /3 hari dapat meningkatkan produksi telur, fertilitas, daya tetas ayam IPB-D1.

Abstract

The target audience for this community partnership program (PKM) is a group of broiler farmers known as the “Koleo” group, located at RT 08 / RW 04 Baumata Utara Village, Taebenu District, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The raising of chickens in the village was traditional system, and on a small scale. The constraints faced by the farmer group are capital and aspects related to the management system. The solution offered was to do a short-term plasma nucleus pattern partnership business. The method of this service activity was a business partnership pattern, which begins with providing sapronak (livestock production facilities) for 3x cycles of raising chickens. In one cycle, the PKM team gave 300 chicks and chickens feed, as well as a disease prevention package, along with extension activities, and technical guidance on broiler management system. This PKM activity aims to empower the chicken farmer community in North Baumata Village to become independent farmers, and produce broilers optimal. The results showed that the performance and production of chickens were getting better, with an average of final body weight was 2.1 kg at 35 days of age, and a chicken mortality rate was less than 10%. Keywords : broiler, partnership, plasma nucleus,chickens farmers Khalayak sasaran program kemitraan masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah kelompok peternak ayam broiler yang dikenal dengan nama kelompok “Koleo” yang berlokasi di RT 08/RW 04 Desa Baumata Utara Kecamatan Taebenu Kabupaten Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Pemeliharaan ayam di Desa tersebut masih dilakukan secara tradisional dan dalam skala kecil. Kendala yang dihadapi kelompok peternak ayam tersebut adalah modal, dan aspek yang berkaitan dengan sistem pemeliharaan. Solusi yang ditawarkan yaitu dengan melakukan usaha kemitraan pola inti plasma jangka pendek. Metode kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu pola kemitraan usaha, yang diawali dengan memberikan sapronak (sarana produksi peternakan) untuk 3x siklus pemeliharaan ayam. Dalam satu siklus pemeliharaan, tim PKM memberikan bantuan 300 ekor anak ayam beserta pakannya, serta paket pencegahan penyakit, disertai kegiatan penyuluhan, dan bimbingan teknis manajemen pemeliharaan ayam broiler. Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat peternak ayam di Desa Baumata Utara menjadi peternak mandiri, dengan hasil produksi yang optimal. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kinerja dan produksi ayam semakin membaik, dengan bobot badan akhir rata-rata 2,1 kg pada umur 35 hari, dan tingkat kematian ayam kurang dari 10% Kata kunci – broiler, kemitraan, inti plasma, peternak ayam

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of Moringa oleifera leaf extract administered through drinking water on liver weight, gizzard weight, small intestine weight, and small intestine length in broiler chickens. The research was conducted at the Poultry Workshop Facility of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Marine and Fisheries, Universitas Nusa Cendana, Kupang, from April 7 to May 26, 2023. The experimental design was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and six replicates, each replicate consisting of four chickens. In total, 96 broiler chickens were used in the study. The treatments were as follows: P0: drinking water without Moringa leaf extract, P1: drinking water + 40 mL/L Moringa leaf extract, P2: drinking water + 80 mL/L Moringa leaf extract, and P3: drinking water + 120 mL/L Moringa leaf extract. The parameters measured included liver weight, gizzard weight, small intestine weight, and small intestine length. Statistical analysis results indicated that all treatments showed no significant differences (P>0.05) in liver weight, gizzard weight, small intestine weight, or small intestine length. The study concluded that the administration of Moringa oleifera leaf extract through drinking water had no effect on the liver weight, gizzard weight, small intestine weight, or small intestine length of broiler chickens.

Abstract

The aims of study were to analyze if there is a difference in growth performance of two different strain fed commercial diet with either ad libitum or restricted methods. Two hundred sixteen (216) broiler chicks were allocated to 6 treatments with 6 replicates of 6 chicks/replicate.  The experiment used a factorial design 2x3 with 2 strains, and 3 feeding methods, as follows: 1) ad libitum defined in Cobb 500 guidelines as control, 2) quantity restriction (45% of the daily ad libitum consumption), 3) time restriction (standard feed offered for 10h/d).  Chicks were exposed to feed restriction from 8-14d. Then, the chickens were fed ad libitum until 35 days of age.  The results show that feed restriction significantly (P<0.05) improved feed conversion ratio (FCR) and reduced abdominal fat. Growth performance of broiler fed ad libitum and quantity restriction were significantly (P<0.05) higher than those of time restriction feeding. The growth performance and carcass of strain A were not significantly (P>0.05) different from that of strain B.  In conclusion, ad libitum and quantity restriction provide greater growth performance and carcass, but implementing time feed restriction could be a useful for improving FCR and reducing abdominal fat in broiler strains

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tempe dedak, tape dedak dan kombinasinya terhadap potongan primal karkas ayam broiler fase finisher. Penelitian ini menggunakan 96 ekor ayam broiler berumur 1 hari (DOC). Rancangan penelitian yang di gunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan dengan masing-masing ulangan terdiri dari 4 ekor ayam. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu: 1) R0: ransum basal + 20% dedak padi (kontrol); 2) R1: ransum basal + 20% tempe dedak; 3) R2: ransum basal + 20% tape dedak; 4) R3: ransum basal + 10% tempe dedak + 10% tape dedak. Ransum basal yang digunakan yaitu jagung, konsentrat, top mix dan minyak. Variabel yang diteliti adalah persentase sayap, dada, paha dan punggung. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0.05) terhadap persentase sayap, dada, paha dan punggung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian tempe dedak, tape dedak dan kombinasinya tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap potongan primal karkas ayam broiler fase finisher.
