Abstract

Utilization of coconut shell and candlenut shell in Indonesia has not been used optimally as in North Sulawesi. The purpose of this research was to compare the characteristics of the pore size and functional groups of activated carbon, coconut shell charcoal and candlenut shell charcoal. The research method includes the activation stage and characterization of activated carbon using Scanning Electron Microscopic (SEM) and Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR). The results of this study are the characteristics of coconut shell charcoal activated carbon which has a larger pore size of 31.5 µm - 41.9 µm when compared to candlenut shell charcoal activated carbon which has a small pore size, namely 23.0 µm - 33.1 µm. . Both of these activated carbons have the same functional group, namely O-H, C=C, C-O, C-H which is an activated carbon composition.

Abstract

Indonesian An archipelago country that has many volcanoes, namely 147 volcanoes 127 of which are active volcanoes. Spread in several regions of Indonesian following the boundaries of the active plate starting from the islands of Sumatra, Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, Flores, Sulawesi and Maluku. Soputan volcano is one of 127 active volcanoes in Indonesia, is a Strato volcano. As an active tecto-volcanic country, with many volcanoes we try to minimize and prevent the dangers posed by volcanic eruptions. Based on these thoughts, to date in Indonesian various methods of volcanic natural disasters have been carried out, including earthquakes (seismic). Volcanic earthquakes usually occur in the area around volcanoes and their magnitudes are generally very small, averaging less than 5 on the Richter Scale. The depth of the volcanic earthquake ranges from 0-40 km. Based on the hypocentrum distribution of the depth of the epicenter, it shows that the earthquake point that occurred before the eruption was at a depth of 0 km - 2 km at sea level, while the point of the earthquake that occurred during the eruption was at a depth of 0 km - 2 km below sea level, the point of the earthquake that occurred after the eruption it is at a depth of 0 km - 3 km below sea level. The mechanism for the eruption of Mount Soputan Volcano is a visual change in the vegetation around the crater, the plants turn yellow and can die, as soon as the thin crater turns gray.

Abstract

The background of this research is to produce professional teachers with digital competency through training in making web-based learning media. This study aims to analyze how effective the training on teachers' knowledge in generating web-based learning media is to produce professional teachers. This research used a quantitative study with the one-group pre-test/post-test design approach. This research was conducted by the 20 teachers at SMAN 2 Tondano who trained in making web-based learning media integrated by a project-based learning model (PjBL). Based on data analysis with the N-gain test, this study concludes that web-based learning media creation training on teachers at SMAN 2 Tondano has improved teacher knowledge in a medium category, with an average increase of 43%. The data has also been confirmed through a hypothetical test showing that the α0.05 significance value indicates that training activities are running effectively. These results indicate that training can improve teachers' knowledge, support a better learning process, and make teachers more professional with digital competency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using instructional video media on the learning outcomes of high school students in class X on energy materials. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Beo. The research design used a pretest posttest control group design, with the research sample being the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class was treated with learning using video while the control class did not use video. The instrument used in the study was a multiple-choice test. Based on descriptive statistical analysis, the average value of the control class was 6.48 and the average value of the experimental class was 7.86. Based on the results of the independent simple t-test, the value of -ttable > tcount then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of using instructional video media on student learning outcomes. The use of learning video media has a good influence on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the application of a project-based learning model with a STEM approach to the material of thermodynamic laws to student learning outcomes. The method used in this study was pre-experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. The study sample was 28 learners. Data analysis in this study used the SPSS 25 application. From the results of data analysis, the average pretest value was obtained 49.82 and posttest 80.54. From hypothesis testing using the t-test paired sample test obtained sig values. (2-tailed) is by 0.000 0.05. then the data shows that there is an increase in student learning outcomes using a project-based learning model with a STEM approach. thus, it can be concluded that the average score of physics learning outcomes of students given treatment using the application of a project-based learning model with a STEM approach is higher than the average score of physics learning outcomes before being given treatment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the application of inquiry learning model with pictorial riddle method on learning outcomes on ideal gas law material at SMA Negeri 1 Likupang. The method used in this research is quantitative method, with the research design is One Group Pretest-Posttest. The sample in this study was class XI MIA 1 which amounted to 20 students. Assessment data was collected using a test instrument in the form of a description. The average pretest score was 33.50 and the average posttest score was 85.25, the results of the data processing showed an increase. The results of the N-Gain Test obtained an N-Gain score of 0.8438 which indicates that there is an increase in student learning outcomes in the high category with a percentage of 84.38%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the pictorial riddle method of inquiry learning model can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes seen from the results of pretest and posttest data analysis using the N-Gain test, there are 18 students in the high category and 2 students with N-Gain scores in the medium category. With a percentage of 90% of students in the high category and 10% of students in the medium category. Then obtained the value of Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 <0.05 so it can be concluded that the application of the inquiry learning model with the pictorial riddle method can improve the learning outcomes of students in class XI MIA 1 even semester of SMA N 1 Likupang

Abstract

Innovative learning in the 21st century requires students to have the ability to think critically, creatively, and communicatively and be able to collaborate. For this purpose, research has been carried out on Professional Teacher Education (PPG) students at Manado State University. The research aims to implement the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning models through Field Experience Program (PPL) activities. The study was conducted on a sample of 36 elementary school teachers with a total sample of 252 students in the Eastern Region of Indonesia, including the provinces of Papua, Maluku, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi and North Sulawesi. Experimental research method with the application of the PBL and PjBL models. Data was obtained from online workshop interviews and the Learning Management System (LMS) owned by the Directorate of Teacher Professional Education, Directorate General of Teachers and Education Personnel of the Republic of Indonesia. The data is processed from the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) documents and Teaching Modules created by the teacher then reviewing the Teaching Materials, Student Worksheets, Assessment Instruments, and Learning Media. Student learning outcomes are taken from the pre-test and post-test formative scores. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a significant increase in learning outcomes from an average Pre-Test score of 52.2 and after the learning process, the average Post-Test score increased to 84.5. This happened because the PBL and PjBL learning models had been implemented which reached 98.8%. The above learning outcomes occurred because innovative learning elements were implemented, namely 87.7% of learning based on Higher Ordered Thinking Skills, 80% of learning using Group Worksheets, 20% using Individual Worksheets, 67% of learning using Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) 33% of lessons use TPACK accompanied by Student Books and Teaching Aids. Based on the research results above, the use of PBL and PjBL in learning is a necessity. The PBL and PjBL learning models trigger and encourage students to become more creative in learning by prioritizing collaborative learning and being able to communicate experiences and learning results obtained through analytical and critical thinking.

Abstract

Tematik-Eksploratif-Demokratik (TED) merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mendorong peserta didik untuk merekonstruksi pengalaman melalui eksplorasi aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi hasil eksplorasi konteks-konsep fisika dengan menggunakan tema Air Terjun Tumimperas dalam pembelajaran TED. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan lembar eksplorasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan rubrik penilaian untuk menilai nilai rata-rata setiap kelompok pada masing-masing indikator. Hasil eksplorasi mengidentifikasi berbagai konsep fisika seperti gerak parabola, energi mekanik, tekanan, hukum Bernoulli, usaha, momentum, tumbukan, gaya gesek kinetik, dan gesekan yang teramati pada enam fenomena di air terjun Tumimperas. Kesimpulan menunjukkan adanya enam fenomena yang signifikan dalam tema air terjun. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk mengeksplorasi pembelajaran TED dengan tema fenomena alam lainnya atau kearifan lokal masyarakat sekitar, seperti tarian dan permainan tradisional. Kolaborasi penelitian juga direkomendasikan mengingat cakupan aspek yang luas dalam TED. Selain itu, penting untuk mempertimbangkan pembagian kelompok agar setiap individu dapat berkontribusi secara optimal.

Abstract

Thematic-Exploratory-Democratic Learning (TED-L) is an instructional strategy that encourages students to engage in high-level thinking through exploring objects around them and democratic interactions. The aim of this study is to investigate: 1) The outcomes of exploring the physics context-concepts from students' empirical experiences themed around water in TED learning, and 2) How students' democratic interactions contribute to exploring the physics context-concepts from empirical experiences in TED learning. This research employs interpretative qualitative research methodology and data analysis using Miles and Huberman's model. It is part of a collaborative research comprising 3 stages out of the 6 overall stages of TED Learning: 1) Building TED Attraction Literacy, 2) Object Exploration, 3) Exploring individual learning attitudes and democratic learning attitudes. The findings of this study are: 1) Examining empirical experiences leads to a process of high-level thinking formed as an attempt to solve problems. 2) Democratic interactions enhance students' creativity, increase analytical levels, and foster critical thinking among learners, as well as boost engagement in exchanging and adding new information related to physics concepts in exploring empirical experiences.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada topik fluida statis dengan penerapan metode demonstrasi berbantuan media presentasi di SMA Negeri 1 Tombatu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan Subjek siswa kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Tombatu. Teknik pengambilan data adalah tes pada setiap siklus. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan siswa siklus I sebesar 73,1% meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 96,15% dengan persentase penilaian kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik pada masing-masing siklus yaitu siklus I 76,1%,77,1%,72,1% sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 94,6%,87,2%,83,2%. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahwa penerapan metode demonstrasi berbantuan media presentasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada topik Fluida Statis di SMA Negeri 1 Tombatu.
