Abstract

Increased mobility of transportation plays a major role in the economic growth of a region. Despite the rapid growth of the automotive industry, there are still quite a lot of people who use old-type vehicles to support their mobility. Conventional 4-cylinder engine is one type of engine that is widely used in public transportation modes. The purpose of this study was to obtain an analysis of the energy produced in a mixture of liquid fuel (pertalite) and gas (LPG) in a conventional engine 4-cylinder. The research method used was an experiment, carried out on a conventional engine 4-cylinder. A dynamometer is used to determine the power and torque produced. As for testing the rate of fuel consumption using a measuring burette, then the fuel consumption is calculated. The research data are arranged in tables and graphs to obtain the analysis of the energy produced at each rotation speed variation (Rpm). The results showed there were differences in power, torque and fuel consumption produced by a mixture of the two types of fuel used. For maximum power generated at a standard injector variation that uses Pertamax plus fuel of 11.61 kW and a maximum torque of 12.98 Nm. While the lowest power is produced by Pertamax using a racing injector of 2.26 kW and the lowest torque of 8.67 Nm. The lowest fuel consumption is obtained from the use of a standard fuel injector Pertamax plus of 0.12 kg / kW while the highest fuel consumption produced by Pertamax Plus uses a standard injector of 1.28 kg / kW.

Abstract

The application of heat exchanger still causes many problems. Research on the performance improvement of the heat exchanger is also conducted by adding baffle. This research is aimed at finding out the influence of spiral baffle on the performance of heat exchanger. Research is conducted by doing experiment. The heat exchanger used is the opposite flow type. The independent variable includes round and triangular springs with gap spacing of 1, 2 and 3 cm which are installed in the heat pipe. The flow rate of the water is varied by 100, 150, 200 and 250 ml / sec. The dependent variable includes the temperature of hot water (in and out) and the temperature of cold water (in and out). Temperature measurement is done by using a K type thermocouple every minute for 5 minutes. Discharge measurement is done by using flow meter and stopwatch. The results showed that there were effects of the spiral and water discharge variation on the rate of heat transfer. The phenomenon of water discharge is inversely proportional to the rate of temperature change. Maximum heat temperature displacement occurred at a variation of 1.5 cm with a flow rate of 31.25 was 1.44o. The minimum heat transfer temperature occurred at a variation of 0.5 cm with a flow rate of 38.46 was 0.82o. The maximum cold temperature heat transfer occurred at a variation of 1.5 cm with a flow rate of 31.25 was 0.52o and the minimum occurred at variation of 0.5 cm with a flow discharge of 38.46 was 0.14o.

Abstract

Inheritance law that exists and applies in Indonesia, until now is still not a legal unification. Based on the inheritance map that is still so pluralistic, the result is that until now the regulation of inheritance issues in Indonesia is still not uniform. On the other hand, Customary Inheritance Law is an alternative settlement when the other two inheritance legal systems are unable to answer. Meanwhile, the settlement of inheritance disputes using the Customary Inheritance Law more fulfills a sense of justice from the community, especially in the Osing Tribe community. Aside from being more flexible because it follows the flow of change, it is also better at protecting the good name of the extended family because there are still many claims that inheritance disputes are a disgrace that must be kept confidential. The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the norms of rules in the customary inheritance law of the osing tribe and the pattern of settlement of the dispute. The results of the study can be a picture of the existence and role of the osing customary inheritance in supporting the formation of positive law, especially in the region of Banyuwangi Regency based on local wisdom.

Abstract

Limbah batang tembakau mengandung selulosa yang berpotensi menjadi bahan bakar alternatif berupa bioetanol. bertujuan untuk mendapatkan karakteristik nyala api bioetanol limbah batang tembakau. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen. Batang tembakau yang digunakan adalah jenis Na Oogst dan Voor Oogst yang didapat dari daerah kabupaten Jember. Batang tembakau dikeringkan dan diolah menjadi serbuk berukuran random 8 mm – 10 mm, ≤ 0,26-1,19 mm dan 0,25 mm. Serbuk selanjutnya diproses delignifikasi, fermentasi dan distilasi. Produk bioetanol diukur massa jenis dan titik didihnya. Pengujian nyala api dilakukan dengan membakar 1 ml bioetanol dengan pemantikan api. Nyala api diamati dengan kamera dan dilakukan pengukuran durasi nyala menggunakan stopwatch. Hasil pengamatan diolah menggunakan aplikasi ImageJ untuk mendapatkan luas nyala api, dan prosentase warna api merah, kuning dan biru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan produk dan karakteristik nyala api bioetanol berdasarkan 2 jenis tembakau yang digunakan

Abstract

Pemanfaatan energi potensial air salah satunya adalah menggunakan teknologi turbin ulir sebagai pembangkit listrik mikrohidro. Beberapa parameter yang mempengaruhi kinerja turbin ulir adalah jumlah ulir, kekasaran permukaan,sudut kemiringan poros dan debit aliran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah ulir dan kekasaran permukaan terhadap kinerja turbin ulir. Penelitian dilakukan dengan eksperimen, dimana turbin menggunakan variasi jumlah ulir 7, 9, 11. Kekasaran menggunakan variasi grid 0 (tanpa kekasaran), grid 40, grid 60. Sudut kemiringan poros menggunakan 30⁰, 33⁰, 36⁰ dan debit aliran menggunakan bukaan valve  50⁰ (502,14), 70⁰ (22,42), (90⁰) 803,52. Analisis kinerja turbin ditinjau berdasarkan kecepatan putaran (Rpm) dan tegangan (volt) yang dihasilkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan debit aliran, jumlah dan sudut turbin serta kekasaran permukaan sudu mempengaruhi unjuk kerja turbin ulir.  Semakin rendah jumlah ulir dan tingkat kekasaran maka putaran dan tegangan akan semakin meningkat dan sebaliknya. Jumlah sudu dan tingkat kekasaran permukaan sudu akan memicu peningkatan luas hambatan aliran fluida. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan kinerja turbin terbaik pada variasi 7 ulir, dengan sudut kemiringan 33o dengan kekasaran grid 0 (tanpa kekasaran)  menghasilkan tegangan 7,26 volt pada 2928,40 rpm.

Abstract

This article reveals the level of satisfaction of the pilot cadets with the flight simulator practice learning model at the cadet of Indonesia Civil Pilot Banyuwangi (APIB). The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of cadets' satisfaction in the adaptation process of flying simulator practice learning with the online method during the Covid-19 pandemic. Satisfaction is reviewed based on the effectiveness of communication and interaction between cadets and instructors, aspects of technology support, and aspects of the length of time using the simulator room. The method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The results showed that the activities of the flight simulator practice learning process have shown a very high level of satisfaction. The obstacles faced during the pandemic can be overcome by creating an accelerated learning model through supporting technology. With the support of good facilities and infrastructure, learning activities can run effectively. The results of this study indicate that the flying simulator practice learning model for cadets can be recommended as an alternative in achieving learning effectiveness for Aviation Institutions or Schools during the Covid-19 period. The recommendations given also take into account aspects of technical support (facilities & infrastructure) as well as the readiness of the academic community within their respective institutions.

Abstract

Aktifitas penerbangan dengan beban termal tinggi di dalam kokpit dapat berdampak besar pada kinerja fisiologis dan psikologis pilot akibat faktor kenyamanan termal, dehidrasi, dan kelelahan. Beberapa pesawat latih seperti Cessna 172S didesain tanpa penambahan sistem pengkondisi termal kokpit dengan berbagai alasan teknis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan kajian tentang perkembangan penelitian kondisi termal kokpit pesawat latih Cessna 172S berbasis eksperimen. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menempatkan sensor suhu pada beberap titik diruang kokpit. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada perubahan ketinggian penerbangan. Hasil penelitian dapat bermanfaat untuk memprediksi kondisi termal kokpit terhadap ergonomi pilot. Hasil dapat menjadi rekomendasi teknis desain kokpit pesawat latih Cessna 172S.

Abstract

Suasana lingkungan belajar dalam kelas sangat penting dan berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Suasana lingkungan belajar ini diwujudkan dalam bentuk pengkondisian ruang kelas pembelajaran. Pengkondisian ini menyangkut kondisi fisik bangunan dan juga kenyamanan tempat duduk siswa. Kecukupan cahaya atau penerangan juga diperlukan. Selain itu, hal ini juga dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan kenyamanan tambahan yang salah satunya dapat digunakan yaitu memberikan musik. Hasil-hasil penelitian terdahulu menyatakan bahwa musik bermanfaat bagi ibu hamil dan berpengaruh terhadap janin yang dikandung. Musik dapat mempengaruhi detak jantung pendengarnya. Musik juga dapat menenangkan pikiran seseorang dan menjadi alat bantu bagi pengembangan kecerdasan manusia. Salah satu jenis musik yang banyak dipakai dalam pengkondisian suasana belajar atau suasana kerja adalah jenis musik klasik. Hasil-hasil penelitian tindakan kelas menyatakan bahwa musik berpengaruh terhadap proses pembelajaran siswa dalam kelas.

Abstract

Some problems caused covid-19 pandemic, one of serious impact for some bussiness sector as UKM farmer broiler chicken. The government policy to reduce covid-19 infection causes production process and broiler chicken marketing are hampered which is impact to reduce production omset farmer. Through community partnership program (PKM) has been expanded expenditious technology as Automatic Thermal Air Condition (ATAC) based on Internet of Things (IoT) and franchise system which are expected to be able to be problem solving faced by stocker farmer bioler chicken. The application result of ATAC based on IoT and system franchise significantly can raise farmer productivity through increasing chicken weight, reduce death rate and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), supported by right system franchise marketing proven to be able to increase farmer omset.

Abstract

Papring Village - Kalipuro, is one of the eight main centers for bamboo handicrafts in Banyuwangi district. The purpose of this activity is to obtain a strategic study of strengthening the bamboo craft industry in the indigenous people of Papring Village. This activity is a pre-community service activity. The activity stages include field observations through interviews, field observations, FGDs and documentation. The data from the observations were then analyzed by SWOT to obtain supporting factors and inhibiting factors for business development. The results of the assessment show that 90% of the Papring community work as bamboo craftsmen. Abundant bamboo material is obtained from gardens and forests with five main species. The inhibiting factor for business development is the production process is still done manually with simple equipment. From the results of observations, the technology developed is in the form of technical production facilities and website-based E-commerce strategies. Production technology can have an impact on increasing production and product quality as well as as a means of product promotion in a wider market
