Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the consistency of variables relationship that influences Bank Syariah Mandiri's (BSM) consumer' behavior. According to theories and review of previous studies, customers' internal and external factors and marketing strategies of Islamic banks which are considered or perceived by the customers influence their decision to become customers of the Islamic banks. However, previous researches have shown inconsistent results in which some claimed that religion factor became themain reason to deal with Islamic banks, while others said it was not. This study specifically analyzes the variables of personality, social class, culture, and marketing strategies in influencing decision to become BSM's customers. The population in this study is all clients or customers of BSM in West Sumatra in 2010. The research sample is 383 customers. The sampling was done by using purposive sampling and the analysis was conducted by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as an analysis tool. The results show that: (1) Traits of the customers' personality do not impose power over their decisions to become customers of BSM. (2) The higher position of customers' social class can encourage their decision to become customers of BSM. (3) The stronger the customers' culture, the stronger their decision to become customers of BSM. (4)The better the marketing strategies of Islamic banks are considered and perceived by customers, the more encouraged and stronger their decisions to become customers of BSM.

Abstract

In the modern organization, compensation will influence the behavior of employees in performing theirduties. The main target of the reward program is to attract qualified individuals, motivate employees to stay, and achieve higher performance. Organizational change efforts require the participation of all employees, it would also be achieved if there is willingness and ability of each individual employee. The behavior of employees is expected by the organization and the demands not only the behavior of the organization in the role, but also the extra role behavior called Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) Improved performance of employees of an organization preceded by an increase in job satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Performance of nurses as a consequence of people's demand for excellent service or a need for high quality services. The data of this study to get some important conclusions that the compensation is very important for employees in an effort to improve employee performance, both directly and indirectly. Keywords: Compensation, Job Satisfaction, Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), and Performance Employee. Di dalam organisasi modern, kompensasi yang diberikan akan mempengaruhi perilaku kerja karyawan dalam menjalankan tugas. Sasaran utama dari program reward adalah untuk menarik individu yang berkualitas, memotivasi karyawan agar tetap tinggal, dan mencapai kinerja yang lebih tinggi. Usaha perubahan organisasi membutuhkan partisipasi dari semua karyawan, itu akan tercapai bila juga ada kemauan dan kemampuan dari masing-masing individu karyawan. Perilaku dari karyawan yang diharapkan oleh organisasi dan menjadi tuntutan organisasi tidak hanya perilaku in role, tetapi juga perilaku extra role yang disebut Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB)  Peningkatan kinerja karyawan suatu organisasi didahului oleh peningkatan kepuasan kerja dan OCB. Kinerja perawat sebagai konsekuensi tuntutan masyarakat terhadap kebutuhan akan pelayanan prima atau pelayanan yang bermutu tinggi. Data penelitian ini mendapatkan beberapa kesimpulan penting bahwa kompensasi sangat penting bagi karyawan dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja karyawan baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung.  Kata Kunci: Kompensasi, Kepuasan Kerja, Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), dan Kinerja Karyawan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTTraining is an activity series designed to enhance skill, knowledge, experience, or an individual  attitude changes. Compensation research is one of the essential factors to job satisfaction and employee performance. Compensation is divided into financial compensation which consists of salary, performance payment, incentive payment, outside working hours payment, social protection and non-financial compensation with consists of work. Both of these elements will have an effect to increase employee satisfaction and performance. The important conclusions of this research are compensation to the employee is very important to improve customer satisfaction and employee performance environment working.Keywords: Training, Compensation, Employee Job Satisfaction and Performance environment working.ABSTRAKPelatihan adalah serangkaian aktifitas yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan keahlian-keahlian, pengetahuan, pengalaman, ataupun perubahan sikap seorang individu. Dalam penelitian kompensasi juga merupakan salah satu faktor yang dipengaruhi pada kepuasan kerja dan kinerja karyawan. Kompensasi terbagi menjadi kompensasi finansial terdiri dari gaji, bayaran prestasi, bayaran insentif, bayaran diluar jam kerja, program perlindungan dan kompensasi non finansial terdiri dari pekerjaan. Kedua unsur ini akan berpengaruh pada meningkatnya kepuasan dan kinerja karyawan. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) pengaruh tingkat inflasi, tingkat suku bunga SBI, dan nilai tukar rupiah terhadap Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) secara simultan, (2) pengaruh tingkat inflasi terhadap Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), (3) pengaruh tingkat suku bunga SBI terhadap Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), (4) pengaruh nilai tukar rupiah terhadap Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), (5) pengaruh tingkat inflasi, tingkat suku bunga SBI, dan nilai tukar rupiah terhadap Indeks LQ45 secara simultan, (6) pengaruh tingkat inflasi terhadap Indeks LQ45, (7) pengaruh tingkat suku bunga SBI terhadap Indeks LQ45, (8) pengaruh nilai tukar rupiah terhadap Indeks LQ45. Penelitian ini adalah explanatory quantitative research. Data yang digunakan sebagai sampel adalah data bulanan Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), Indeks LQ45, tingkat Inflasi, tingkat suku bunga SBI, dan nilai tukar rupih, selama periode Januari 2008-Desember 2012. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa (1) tingkat inflasi, tingkat suku bunga SBI, dan nilai tukar rupiah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) secara simultan, (2) tingkat inflasi berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), (3) tingkat suku bunga SBI berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), (4) nilai tukar rupiah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), (5) ) tingkat inflasi, tingkat suku bunga SBI, dan nilai tukar rupiah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Indeks LQ45 secara simultan, (6) tingkat inflasi berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap Indeks LQ45 (JII), (7) tingkat suku bunga SBI berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Indeks LQ45, (8) nilai tukar rupiah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Indeks LQ45. This research is an explanatory quantitative research. The data used as the sample was monthly data of Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), LQ45 Index, inflation rate, interest rate of SBI, and exchange rate, over the period of January 2008-December 2012. Method of data analysis was a linear regression analysis. Results of data analysis showed that (1) the inflation rate, the interest rate of SBI, and the exchange rate of Rupiah have significant effects on Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) simultaneously, (2) the inflation rate has no significant effect on Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), (3)  the interest rate of SBI has a significant effect on Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), (4) the exchange rate of Rupiah has a significant effect on Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), (5) the inflation rate, the interest rate of SBI, and the exchange rate of Rupiah have significant effects on LQ45 Index simultaneously, (6) the inflation rate  has no significant effect on LQ45 Index, (7) the interest rate of SBI has a significant effect on LQ45 Index, (8) the exchange rate of Rupiah has a significant effect on LQ45 Index. Abstract

Leadership is the ability to influence others in this case the subordinates so that someone else was willing to do the will of the leader personally though it may not be favored. Organizational culture is a social force that is not visible, which can move people within an organization to perform work activities. Are not aware of each person in an organization to learn the prevailing culture within the organization. Strong culture and positive influence on the behavior and effectiveness of the organization's performance. Terms of the employees, high employee commitment will result in improved performance of the employees themselves. Keywords: Leadership Style, Organizational Culture, organizational commitment and employee performance.   Kepemimpinan adalah kemampuan seseorang untuk mempengaruhi orang lain dalam hal ini para bawahannya sedemikian rupa sehingga orang lain itu mau melakukan kehendak pemimpin meskipun secara pribadi hal itu mungkin tidak disenangi. Budaya organisasi merupakan kekuatan sosial yang tidak tampak, yang dapat menggerakkan orang-orang dalam suatu organisasi untuk melakukan aktivitas kerja. Secara tidak sadar tiap-tiap orang didalam suatu organisasi mempelajari budaya yang berlaku didalam organisasinya. Budaya yang kuat dan positif sangat berpengaruh terhadap perilaku dan efektifitas kinerja organisasi. Abstract

Abstract This study examines the causal relationship between Destination Attractiveness, Place Attachment and Visitors Satisfaction of Kampung Wisata Kungkuk, Batu-East Java using PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis. Data were collected from 75 respondents by questionnaire. It was found that Destination Attractiveness has a significant influence on Place Attachment, Destination Attractiveness has a significant influence on Visitors Satisfaction, and Place Attachment has a significant influence on Visitors Satisfaction. Similarly there is relationship between Destination Attractiveness, Place Attachment and Visitors Satisfaction. Equally, the higher attractiveness of destination, the higher are attachment and satisfaction levels. These results will provide potential guidelines for Kampung Wisata Kungkuk to attract and create visitors satisfaction. This study also seeks to contribute to conceptual and strategies by understanding the determinants of environmental destination or ecotourism.   Keywords: Destination Attractiveness; Place Attachment; Satisfaction; Ecotourism; Tourism Village; Batu-East Java.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the influence of Word of Mouth (WOM), on Revisit Intention with the intervening effect of Destination Image. 100 questionnaires were distributed to tourists who come to Mount Bromo through convenience sampling approach. The scales of measurement used in this study is Likert scale. Validity and Reliability of the measurement scale were established with the formula analysis correlation Product Moment Pearson and Cronbach’s Alpha. The technique of data analysis in this study use path analysis. Path analysis is a statistical method used to examine the hypothesized (casual) relationship between two or more variables. The empirical result from the path analysis suggests that Word of Mouth (WOM) has influence on Revisit Intention. Word of Mouth (WOM) consists of Organic Word of Mouth and Amplified Word of Mouth. Organic Word of Mouth has a positive significant influence on Revisit Intention.  Amplified Word of Mouth has a negative non significant influence on Revisit Mount Bromo but if through Destination Image, Amplified Word of Mouth has a positive significant influence on Revisit Intention.   Keywords: Word of Mouth, Organic Word of Mouth, Amplified Word of Mouth, Destination Image, Revisit Intention.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menjelaskan: 1) pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap motivasi, 2) pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transaksional terhadap motivasi, 3) pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja karyawan, 4) pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transaksional terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan 5) pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah explanatory research dengan metode penelitian analisis jalur (path analysis). Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan survey dan kuesioner yang diuji secara validitas dan reliabilitas yang dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 81 karyawan PT Antam Pomalaa pada divisi Human Resource and Coorporate social Responsibility. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Generalized Structured Component Analysis (Gsca) dengan software GeSCA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kepemimpinan, baik transformasional maupun transaksional berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi dan kinerja karyawan. Artinya, semakin baik gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan baik transformasional maupun transaksional dapat meningktakan motivasi dan kinerja karyawan. (2) gaya kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh dominan terhadap motivasi dan kinerja karyawan.   Kata Kunci : Transformasional, transaksional, motivasi, dan kinerja karyawan   The objectives of this research are to analyze and explain: 1) the influence of transformational leadership style toward motivation, 2) the influence of transactional leadership style toward motivation, 3) the influence of transformational leadership style toward staff performance, 4) the influence of transactional leadership style toward staff performance, and 5) the influence of motivation toward staff performance. This method of this research was explanatory research by using path analysis research method. The data collection method used survey and questionnaire which was tested in validly and reliable way through questionnaires to the 81 employees work at PT Antam Pomalaa. The analysis method used is the Generalized structured component analysis (Gsca) with software GeSCA. The result of research showed that : (1) leadership, both transformational and transactional positive effect on motivation and performance of employees. That is, the better the leadership style applied to both transformational and transactional can drive the motivation and performance of employees. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between good corporate governance and firm size on capital structure and firm financial performance of banks listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange during a three year period. A type of research used in this research is explanatory research with quantitative approach. Technique that will be used in the data collection in this research is using the method of documentation. Populations and samples in this study is secondary data on the bank company’s on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Corner Faculty of Economics, University of Brawijaya Malang with the number of sample is 19 and sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling technique. Data analysis method in this research using Partial Least Square (PLS). The result show a nonsignificant negative influence of good corporate governance on capital structure. Firm size significantly negative influence on capital structure. Good corporate governance has a positive significant influence on financial performance. Firm size nonsignificant positive on financial performance. Abstract

The kind of research this is explanatory research, the goal of this research is to analyze and explain: (1) Transformational Leadership influence significantly to job satisfaction, (2) Job Characteristics influence significantly to job satisfaction, (3) Transformational Leadership influence significantly to the performance of employees, (4) Job Characteristics impact Employee Performance, significantly to (5) job satisfaction influence significantly to the performance of employees. The population of this research as many as 212 people permanent employees of PT.PLN (Persero) of East Java, the withdrawal Distribution samples using Simple Random Sampling techniques so that the retrieved sample as many as 68 people permanent employees of PT.PLN (Persero) of East Java, Distribution data collection using the questionnaire. This research result is: ( 1 ) leadership transformational influence significantly to job satisfaction ( 2 ) characteristic of job satisfaction, influential significantly to work ( 3 ) leadership transformational significant impact on the performance employees ( 4 ) characteristic work influential insignificant against employees performance ( 5 ) complacence influential insignificant work on the performance of employees. Â
