Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the impact of household consumption on the inflation rate in Central Kalimantan from 2018 to 2022 using the Granger causality test approach. Data on household consumption and inflation rates in Central Kalimantan province were obtained from the Central Kalimantan Province Central Statistics Agency. The results of the Granger causality test show that there is no causal relationship between household consumption and inflation. This means that changes in household consumption do not have a statistically significant effect on changes in the inflation rate. The unit root test results also show that the two time series data are not stationary and therefore require further analysis. Overall, the increase in inflation in Central Kalimantan from 2018 to 2022 concluded that it did not provide significant pressure to reduce household consumption. However, to maintain regional economic stability in the future, an appropriate response from the regional government is still needed.

Abstract

The Indonesian National Police (Polri) reported a significant increase in the number of crime cases during the period January - April 2023. Based on these conditions, an innovative security system is needed that can reduce the risk of motor vehicle theft. This tool is equipped with the help of an IP Camera and runs a program that has been made on programming software using OpenCV Python. The IP Camera is used to capture video that can be accessed on the server to process whether there is a license plate number detected and read the vehicle license plate number. This system integrates Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology in the parking system. RFID technology will provide unique identification to each user who will enter the parking area, while OCR is used to read the license plate numbers of vehicles entering the parking area. OCR reading results are also sent to the microcontroller to be displayed on the LCD when the customer enters the parking area. The OCR reading results have a truth accuracy rate of 98.7%.

Abstract

Instrumen keuangan kompleks, seperti derivatif, obligasi, dan saham preferen, memiliki karakteristik unik yang mempengaruhi pencatatan dan pelaporan dalam akuntansi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep, pengakuan, dan pengukuran akuntansi terkait instrumen keuangan kompleks. Derivatif, sebagai kontrak yang nilai dasarnya bergantung pada aset lain, memiliki potensi risiko yang signifikan, sementara obligasi dan saham preferen memiliki karakteristik modal dan utang yang perlu dianalisis secara menyeluruh. Standar akuntansi internasional, seperti IFRS dan PSAK di Indonesia, memberikan panduan khusus dalam pengelolaan instrumen-instrumen ini, tetapi tantangan dan risiko yang melekat tetap menuntut perhatian mendalam dari praktisi akuntansi.

Abstract

This study aims to identify students' responses to the use of a project-based approach in teaching writing narrative text. This research was conducted in a junior high school in Cimahi involving 23 students of grade VIII as the research subjects. The method used was qualitative research with a data collection technique through the questionnaire. The data were analyzed both qualitatively using Miles & Huberman (1992) data analysis framework and quantitatively only in sum and percentage. The results showed that the use of a project-based approach was positive toward students' motivation and involvement in the writing learning process. Students feel more motivated and challenged to write because they can work collaboratively in groups and have the opportunity to develop their creative ideas. Meanwhile, students' negative responses to the use of the project-based approach were that they were still confused about the demands and steps to be taken in completing the project.  This caused them to feel less confident in completing the project well. The data from the questionnaire shows that using project-based learning in teaching writing provides benefits in learning English writing skills. Therefore, using project-based learning in teaching narrative text writing can improve students' writing ability.

Abstract

The compressive strength of timber is the main parameter in designing truss system, for instance timber bridges, building roof, or column in buildings. In term of design of compression structural components according to the SNI 7973:2013, the corrected compression design value is a calculation of compressive strength parameters and correction factors, for example, wet service factors, temperature factors, column stability factors, and others. Timber as an orthotropic material has three main directions, therefore the angle of the timber grain has an influence on compressive strength. This research aims to study the effect of timber grain’s angle on the compressive strength of Red Meranti wood (Shorea spp.) and develop an empirical equation to calculate the compressive strength of timber with the influence of the wood grain’s angle. The test specimens were made based on the primary method reference for compression test namely 50mm x 50mm x 200mm (parallel to the grain type), according to ASTM D143-22 for test specimens with variations in fiber direction, namely 0°, 10°, 20° and 30°. Meanwhile, test objects with variations in fiber direction, namely 60°, 70°, 80° and 90°, were made the sizes of 50mm x 50mm x 150mm (perpendicular to the grain type). Testings were carried out using a Universal Testing Machine with test speed according to ASTM D143-22. All test objects were made in dry conditions (moisture content ranging from 14% to 16%). The conclusion obtained from this research are an empirical equation for calculating the compressive strength of Red Meranti timber with a predictor is the timber grain’s angle, which are FCY = 14.01 – 0.119θ + 0.000042θ2 (in term of yield of proportional point) and FCU = 29.82 – 0.417θ + 0.0018θ2 (in term of peak or ultimate point). This equation provides benefits for academics and practitioners, especially in designing compression structural components especially with compression value as the main parameter.

Abstract

Profitabilitas bukan hanya sekadar angka dalam laporan keuangan, tetapi juga menunjukkan aspek yang fundamental dari kesehatan dan kinerja perusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh Modal Kerja, Likuiditas, Pertumbuhan Penjualan, dan Ukuran Perusahaan terhadap Profitabilitas pada perusahaan Sub Sektor Perdagangan Ritel yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2020-2023. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder dari laporan tahunan yaitu laporan posisi keuangan dan laporan laba rugi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 31 perusahaan. Teknik penarikan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling, dimana sampel yang dipilih ada 13 perusahaan. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa modal kerja berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, likuiditas berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, pertumbuhan penjualan berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap profitabilitas.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKayu Simalambuo (Lophopetalum sp.) dari Nias banyak dipergunakan sebagai bahan baku kayu untuk membuat bangunan kayu dengan fungsi untuk tempat tinggal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan model kurva tegangan-regangan kayu Simalambuo (Lophopetalum sp.). Ruang lingkup penelitian yaitu kurva tegangan-regangan kayu yang dipelajari adalah sifat mekanika lentur dan tekan (sejajar serat dan tegaklurus serat kayu). Data sifat mekanika kayu diperoleh dari penelitian sebelumnya yaitu pengujian destruktif mengacu standar ASTM D143 dengan metode primer, dengan bahan baku kayu berasal dari Pulau Nias. Hasil penelitian yaitu model kurva tegangan-regangan lentur, tekan arah sejajar serat, dan tekan arah tegaklurus serat memberikan kontribusi bagi praktisi dan akademisi dalam perencanaan bangunan kayu tahan gempa. Model kurva bilinier tegangan-regangan hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi untuk analisis elastik maupun inelastik bangunan gedung kayu.Kata kunci: sifat mekanika, simalambuo, nias, eksperimental, bangunan ABSTRACTSimalambuo wood (Lophopetalum sp.) from Nias is widely used as wood raw material to make wooden buildings with residential functions. This research aims to obtain a curve model of the stress-strain of Simalambuo wood (Lophopetalum sp.). The scope of the research is the stress-strain curve of wood are the mechanical properties of flexural and compressive (parallel to the grain and perpendicular to the grain). Data on the mechanical properties of wood was obtained from previous research, namely destructive testing referring to the ASTM D143 standard using the primary method, with wood raw materials originating from Nias Island. The results of the research, namely the curve model of the stress-strain in term of bending, compression parallel to the grain, and compression perpendicular to the grain provide a contribution to practitioners and academics in design of earthquake-resistant wooden buildings. The bilinear stress-strain curve model resulting from this research can be a reference for elastic and inelastic analysis of wooden buildings.Keywords: mechanical properties, simalambuo, nias, experimental, building

Abstract

The construction of a pier in Desa Pulau Telo Baru, Kapuas Regency, aims to enhance the local economy and support the development of sustainable tourism. This project involves community participation in natural resource management and environmental preservation, as well as the development of a food court as a social area for visitors and locals. The methods used in this research include village potential discussions, field surveys, and the collection of primary data related to geographical and socio-economic conditions. The research results are in the form of a Budget Plan (RAB) covering preparatory work, reclamation, substructure, and foundation, with a total budget of IDR 1,484,659,068.00. The construction of the pier and food court improves transportation accessibility, attracts more tourists, and contributes to tourism sustainability and the improvement of the local community's quality of life. This project creates job opportunities, increases the community's income, and strengthens infrastructure to support tourism activities.

Abstract

Pemantauan lahan sawit secara konvensional biasanya dilakukan dengan cara manual oleh petani yang mengerahkan beberapa orang untuk menyebar di area lahan. Namun, pendekatan ini membutuhkan waktu dan tenaga yang cukup besar, serta rentan terhadap ketidakakuratan dalam pemantauan. Sebagai alternatif, perusahaan besar yang mengelola lahan sawit umumnya menggunakan teknologi drone untuk memantau lahan, diikuti dengan penggunaan perangkat lunak analisis yang kompleks. Namun, pemanfaatan teknologi ini seringkali memerlukan biaya dan peralatan yang mahal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem pemantauan lahan sawit menggunakan teknologi yang lebih terjangkau dan praktis, yaitu dengan memanfaatkan drone yang tersedia di pasaran serta NVIDIA Jetson Nano sebagai perangkat pemrosesan gambar portabel. Sistem ini menggunakan metode deep learning, dengan mengimplementasikan algoritma You Only Look Once (YOLO) untuk deteksi objek dan Instance Segmentation untuk segmentasi area lahan sawit. YOLO memungkinkan pendeteksian objek secara real-time dengan akurasi tinggi, sementara Instance Segmentation memfasilitasi pemisahan area sawit secara lebih detail, yang akan membantu dalam analisis lebih mendalam. Dengan menggunakan peralatan yang lebih terjangkau dan portabel, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempermudah petani atau pihak terkait dalam memantau dan menganalisis kondisi lahan sawit secara efektif, efisien, dan dengan biaya yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan teknologi pemantauan konvensional atau yang digunakan perusahaan besar.
