Abstract

Sari Tani Agricultural Store, strategically located in Kediri City, needs help increasing agricultural product sales despite being surrounded by various vendors. This study aims to explore effective promotional strategies to boost sales at this store. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with respondents consisting of regular buyers, loyal buyers, and resellers. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations to understand how each buyer category became aware of Sari Tani Agricultural Store, particularly about using social media as a promotional tool. The results indicate that promotions via social media, especially Facebook, effectively attract regular and loyal buyers, while resellers, mostly outside Kediri City, learned about the store through online references. The main factors influencing loyalty are product quality and satisfactory service. This study suggests enhancing social media interactions and diversifying promotional platforms to increase sales and market reach further. In conclusion, social media promotional strategies effectively boost sales and customer loyalty at Sari Tani Agricultural Store, providing practical insights for store managers to develop more effective and sustainable marketing strategies. Toko Pertanian Sari Tani, terletak strategis di Kota Kediri, menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan penjualan produk pertanian meskipun posisinya dikelilingi oleh berbagai pedagang. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi strategi promosi efektif untuk meningkatkan penjualan di toko ini. Metode kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dengan responden terdiri dari 25 pembeli biasa, 3 pembeli loyal, dan 2 pembeli reseller. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi untuk memahami cara setiap kategori pembeli mengetahui Toko Pertanian Sari Tani, terutama terkait penggunaan media sosial sebagai alat promosi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa promosi melalui media sosial, khususnya Facebook, efektif menarik pembeli biasa dan loyal, sementara pembeli reseller, yang sebagian besar dari luar Kota Kediri, mengetahui toko melalui referensi online. Faktor utama yang mempengaruhi loyalitas adalah kualitas produk dan pelayanan. Penelitian ini menyarankan peningkatan interaksi di media sosial dan diversifikasi platform promosi untuk lebih meningkatkan penjualan dan jangkauan pasar. Kesimpulannya, strategi promosi media sosial efektif dalam meningkatkan penjualan dan loyalitas pelanggan di Toko Pertanian Sari Tani, memberikan wawasan praktis bagi pengelola toko untuk mengembangkan strategi pemasaran yang lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study examines farmers' response to using organic fertilizers in paddy cultivation at the Makmur II Mojoayu Farmers Group, Plemahan District, Kediri Regency. The background of this research was the limited stock of subsidized fertilizers and the high prices of chemical fertilizers, which have led farmers to turn to organic fertilizers as an alternative solution. The research method used was quantitative, with survey techniques and questionnaires as data collection instruments. A total of 30 respondents from the Makmur II Farmers Group were involved in this study. Analyzing internal factors such as age, formal education, income, and land size shows a positive relationship with farmers' knowledge, attitudes, and skills in using organic fertilizers. External factors such as expected benefits and non-formal education also positively affect the farmers' responses. The results of this study emphasize the importance of considering these factors in efforts to increase the adoption of organic fertilizers among farmers. This research provides insights for policymakers and practitioners in the agricultural field to design more relevant and effective programs and interventions to enhance the use of organic fertilizers. It highlights the importance of non-formal education in improving farmers' skills and knowledge. Penelitian ini mengkaji respon petani terhadap penggunaan pupuk organik dalam budidaya padi sawah di Kelompok Tani Makmur II Mojoayu, Kecamatan Plemahan, Kabupaten Kediri. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah keterbatasan stok pupuk subsidi dan tingginya harga pupuk kimia, yang mendorong petani untuk beralih ke pupuk organik sebagai alternatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik survei dan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Sebanyak 30 responden dari Kelompok Tani Makmur II dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini. Analisis faktor internal seperti usia, pendidikan formal, pendapatan, dan besar lahan menunjukkan hubungan positif dengan pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan petani dalam penggunaan pupuk organik. Faktor eksternal seperti manfaat yang diharapkan dan pendidikan non-formal juga menunjukkan hubungan positif dengan respon petani. Hasil penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor tersebut dalam upaya meningkatkan adopsi pupuk organik di kalangan petani. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi pengambil kebijakan dan praktisi di bidang pertanian untuk merancang program dan intervensi yang lebih relevan dan efektif dalam meningkatkan penggunaan pupuk organik, serta menunjukkan pentingnya pendidikan non-formal dalam meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan petani.

Abstract

This research aims to find out what types of social media are widely used by ornamental plant farmers, find out the length of use of social media by ornamental plant farmers, know the function of ornamental plant farmers' social media for their business, determine the level of ability to use social media of ornamental plant farmers. The research sample consisted of 30 ornamental plant farmers who were chosen randomly. This research used qualitative descriptive methods and linear regression analysis to analyze the research data that has been collected. Based on the analysis and discussion results, it is known that Facebook social media is a type of social media that is widely used by ornamental plant farmers in Banjarejo Village, with 17 users out of 30 respondents. The duration of ownership of social media by ornamental plant farmers in Banjarejo Village is more than 3 years, with the usage of 30-40 hours per week. Ornamental plant farmers widely use social media in Banjarejo Village to market commodities. The ability of ornamental plant farmers in Banjarejo Village to use social media is on a sufficient scale.   Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui jenis media sosial apa yang banyak digunakan oleh petani tanaman hias; mengetahui lama penggunaan media sosial oleh petani tanaman hias;  mengetahui fungsi media sosial petani tanaman hias untuk usahanya; mengetahui tingkat kemampuan penggunaan media sosial petani tanaman hias. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 orang petani tanaman hias yang dipilih secara acak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif serta analisis regresi linear untuk menganalisis data penelitian yang telah dikumpulkan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan diketahui bahwa media sosial facebook merupakan jenis media sosial yang banyak digunakan oleh petani tanaman hias di Desa Banjarejo, dengan jumlah pengguna 17 orang dari 30 responden. Lama kepemilikan media sosial petani tanaman hias di Desa Banjarejo lebih dari 3 tahun dengan, lama penggunaan sebesar 30-40 jam per minggu. Fungsi media sosial yang banyak digunakan oleh petani tanaman hias di Desa Banjarejo untuk memasarkan komoditas. Tingkat kemampuan petani tanaman hias di Desa Banjarejo dalam penggunaan media sosial berada pada skala cukup.

Abstract

The Government of Trenggalek Regency is strongly committed to advancing the dairy cattle industry and boosting milk production in the region, with particular emphasis on Dompyong Village, Bendungan District.  This research aims to assess the capital requirements for dairy cattle farming and develop a model to strengthen the position of breeders using a profit-sharing system.  A survey method, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative descriptive approaches, was employed to gather comprehensive data.  The study revealed that independent dairy cattle farming requires a total capital of IDR 23,150,000.  However, under the profit-sharing system, breeders need only IDR 9,900,000 due to shared costs for purchasing dairy cows.  The profit-sharing arrangement generally involves a 50:50 split between breeders and investors, including income from the sale of calves and milk, resulting in a total profit-sharing value of IDR 23,000,000 per year.  Additionally, breeders receive 10 to 20 percent of the revenue from the sale of dairy cows, depending on the agreement.  The proposed model for strengthening breeders focuses on developing their character and credibility to build investor trust, advocating for written profit-sharing agreements to prevent disputes, and enhancing institutional support to improve business efficiency and provide technical guidance. Keywords : dairy cows; livestock, profit-sharing system.

Abstract

Petok Village, located in Mojo District, Kediri Regency, is known as a major center for getuk pisang (banana cake) production that has been sustained across generations. However, the production process generates large amounts of waste from raja nangka banana peels that remain unutilized. The banana peel waste generated from these home-based industries has the potential to pollute the environment if not properly managed and disposed of. Based on previous research on the formulation of banana peel flour as a functional food ingredient, this activity aimed to transfer knowledge and skills to getuk pisang producers, enabling them to process banana peel waste into value-added flour. The program was conducted using a participatory approach involving socialization sessions, direct demonstrations of banana peel flour production, and discussions on business opportunities derived from the process. The results showed an 85% increase in participants’ knowledge and skills, as measured by pre- and post-tests. In addition to producing quality banana peel flour, the activity also fostered awareness of circular economy concepts and local resource utilization. This community empowerment initiative presents opportunities for establishing a joint business group focused on banana peel flour processing, as well as collaboration with the village government for product development and sustainable marketing. Desa Petok di Kecamatan Mojo, Kabupaten Kediri, dikenal sebagai sentra penghasil getuk pisang yang telah bertahan lintas generasi. Namun, produksi getuk pisang menghasilkan limbah kulit pisang raja nangka dalam jumlah besar yang belum termanfaatkan secara optimal. Limbah kulit pisang yang dihasilkan dari industri rumahan getuk pisang berpotensi mencemari lingkungan jika tidak dikelola dengan baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sebelumnya tentang formulasi tepung kulit pisang sebagai bahan pangan fungsional, kegiatan ini bertujuan mentransfer pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada pelaku usaha getuk pisang agar mampu mengolah limbah kulit pisang menjadi tepung bernilai ekonomi. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui pendekatan partisipatif yang meliputi sosialisasi, demonstrasi pembuatan tepung kulit pisang, serta diskusi peluang usaha turunan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta sebesar 85% berdasarkan pre-test dan post-test. Selain menghasilkan produk tepung kulit pisang berkualitas, kegiatan ini juga menumbuhkan kesadaran tentang konsep ekonomi sirkular dan potensi diversifikasi produk berbasis bahan lokal. Kegiatan ini berimplikasi pada peluang pembentukan kelompok usaha bersama pengolahan tepung kulit pisang serta kerja sama dengan pemerintah desa untuk pengembangan produk olahan dan pemasaran berkelanjutan.
