Abstract

Fertilizer majatani organic is shaped liquid and is a solution for agricultural development because, is environmentally friendly but not yet fully applied by farmers leading to the need for a strategy supporting the development of the use of fertilizer. Study aimsare1) Knowing factor internal and external rice farmers in Bali Province 2) Make a design development strategy the use of fertilizer organic majatani in Bali Province. Research was conducted in Dalang village subdistrict of Salemadeg Timur Tabanan regency of Bali Province by 30 respondents. The data collection was done through interviews directly to speakers with the help of the questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using SWOT. The result showed that: 1.A strategy the development of the use of fertilizer organic majatani in Bali province are on a cell 1 which is a strategy to grow and build; 2.A strategy the development of the use of organic fertilizer majatani in bali province use strategy so, which is trying to preserve and enhance the quality of organic fertilizer majatani. Keyword: analysis SWOT, majatani , fertilizer organic , development , strategy

Abstract

The result of aloe vera beverage production Pontianak unable to compete with the brand of outside Pontianak or the beverage substitutes, because of defective design and quality or the product picture. The study aims to design a model of consumers preference toward the resolution to purchase aloe vera beverage in Pontianak, represented by 150 respondents using quota sampling techniques and then analyzed by the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) methods. The results of the analysis show that only design and quality affect the purchase resolution, with a model of preferences namely; 500 ml size packaging; lychee flavor; nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids; the physiological benefits that can provide energy, nourish and prevent diseases of the body; and certification most important product is labeling halal. Manufacturers need to change the shape of the packaging glass into the shape of the bottle, increase the level of lychee flavor in the composition of the ingredients, include information about: nutrition, benefit, and product certification on the package label.Keywords: aloe vera beverage,model, purchase resolution, quality function deployment (QFD), structural equation modeling (SEM).

Abstract

Mi instan merupakan makanan siap saji dan mudah dikonsumsi. Tingginya tingkat konsumsi mi instan di Indonesia merupakan peluang pasar yang potensial bagi pelaku usaha yang ingin memasuki pasar mi instan. Pengetahuan akan keinginan konsumen terhadap produk yang akan dibelinya menjadi penting bagi produsen untuk terus bersaing di pasar yang kompetitif. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui preferensi konsumen dalam membeli mi instan di Kota Pontianak. Sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dianalisis dengan metode diskriptif dan konjoin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kombinasi atribut mi instan yang menjadi preferensi konsumen adalah bahan kemasan plastik, bentuk kemasan kotak, bentuk mi kotak, warna kuning, rasa gurih, tekstur mi tidak mudah mengembang, harga Rp 1.000,00- Rp 2.000,00, daya tahan produk lama, ukuran 110-130 gr, dan atribut mi instan yang paling dipertimbangkan konsumen adalah atribut warna.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development of profitability, productivity, and output growth as well as to analyze the development of the competitiveness of the beef cattle bussiness in Mempawah Regency. This research took placed in 9 Sub-distric in Mempawah. The method used was the descriptive method using the panel data from 2008-2013. The data were processed using the method of ICI (Industrial Competitive Index) by finding out the indicator which included the index of profitability, productivity and output growth. The results of the analysis showed that the growth rate of the profitability index was 15.07%, the productivity index 12.67% and output growth index -4.74%. Based on the result of the analysis, the growth rate of the industry competitive index (ICI) for 9 Sub-distric in Mempawah Regency overall had a positive value. This indicated that the 9 Sub-distric in Mempawah Regency had the capability of competitiveness. The growth rate of the industrial competitive index for Mempawah Regency was 9.12%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine consumer preferences of fish crackers product in Sintang city, and to determine which attributes are most considered by consumers.Attributes of the product that were analyzed in this study is the flavor, packaging, price, location, shape, color, and thickness. The sampling technique in this research is non probability sampling, by conducting interviews with 150 respondents which were analyzed using SPSS 17.0 software with conjoint method. From the seven attributes of fish crackers, the most preferable attributes as the consumer's consideration, sequentially are the price attributes, flavor, packaging, location of purchasing the fish crackers, fish crackers shapes, colors and the last one is the thickness of the fish crackers.

Abstract

Genetically modified agri-foods are genetically modified using biotechnology. Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) advantages are the focus of much attention in world food markets. Genetically modified crop technology is claimed also to have great potential for the worlds farmers and ultimately consumers, following initial success with genetically modified cotton varieties. Benefits for farmers could include greater productivity and less occupational health and environmental damage (e.g., fewer pesticides), while benefits to consumers include lower food prices and, potentially, enhanced attributes. Common genetically modified agri-foods include maize, soybeans, oilseed rape (canola), chicory, squash, potatoes, pineapples and strawberries. Genetically modified agri-foods are designed for greater resistance to pests and viruses, higher nutritional value and longer shelf life. However, their safety, potential risks and ethical concerns are still being debated. Laws to regulate labeling of genetically modified agri-foods vary. The public's perception of the risk of new technology is critical to its acceptance. Perception of risk, in turn, depends on the credibility of the source of the information and trust in the regulatory process. Keyword: Genetically modified agri-food, trade, concerns, necessity

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is " To know the relationship between the role of extension with increased production of rice farming in Pontianak regency ". The method used in this study using the survey locations Pinyuh River District and the District Anjongan.Variables examined in the study are as follows : 1) The role of the Advisory Extension, 2) Extension Role as Technician, 3) Role as Liaison Extension, 4) Extension Role as Organizer, 5) Role as Agent Extension Renewal. The analysis used in this study include : 1) Test Validity, 2) Test Reliability and 3) Kendall Tau test. The results of this study 1) Role of Agricultural Extension sufficiently contribute to Increased Production of Rice Farming in Pontianak regency. 2) The role of the Council for Agriculture, Technician, Liaison and Organizer in District Sui. Pinyuh to Increased Rice Production Anjongan better than the District. While the role of the Agricultural Extension Agents in District Sui Reformer. Anjongan Pinyuh and the District have a similar role to Increased Farm Production Padi. 3) Role of Agricultural Extension Difference in District and Sub-District Sui.Pinyuh Anjongan to Increased Rice Production allegedly difference farmer education and extension capabilities in conducting counseling. Keywords : Role Extension , Production of Rice Farming

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the quality of CPO in the palm oil Factory at PT Bumitama Gunajaya Agro. The analysis was carried out by processing the data of free faty acid, water level, and impurity level. Descriptive analysis was applied in this reaserch by using six sigma the use of six sigma aimed to identify if the quality which was produces by the  company has relied on the standard wanted by the consumer.The result reported that the quality of free faty acid remained at level of 1,3 sigma with DPMO value 317500 products that were underqualified as decided by SNI. The improvement that can be applied as in fish bone  diagram was to the human resources, the propellents, and the machines. The analysis result at water quality sigma level has been at level 3 of sigma but with DPMO value by 2700hence, having analysed by Fish Bone Diagram, machinery was the factor that sould be improve in order to improve the sigma level. Meanwhile, impurity content has approximentely reached level 4 sigma, in this case reaching the company’s target that expect the CPO quality above 3 level sigma. Therefore, at impurity content, it was unnecessary to find the problem  about the quality inapporiateness with the consumer’s standart (SNI).

Abstract

Results of research conducted in Singkawang in livestock farming of broiler patterns and Partnership Informal self with the business scale of 1,500 to 5,000 chickens per period. Breeders pattern of self-marketing results directly to the consumer the highest price of Rp. 23,800, - and the lowest Rp. 22.200, - with a mean weight of 1.46 kg per cow a chicken and informal partnership schemes carried out by a partnership the marketing of the highest price of Rp. 18,800 and the lowest is Rp. 18.000, - with an average weight of 1.78 kg per cow chicken. Recapitulation of the average calculation feasibility criteria breeders independently pattern obtained NVP is Rp. 2,537,399.33, Net B / C ratio is 17.73 and the IRR is 13.89% and the payback period is 3.31, a business worth continuing. Breeders pattern generating informal partnership NVP Rp. -13,573,023.9, -. Net B / C ratio is -8.44 and the IRR is 10.94% and the payback period is 4.35, it is not feasible to continue. Followed by calculation assuming operating costs and revenue rose by 18%. Breeders pattern independently obtain NPV value of Rp. 52,298,383.8,-. Net B / C Ratio is 3.85, which is 12.5% IRR, payback period 4.68 was obtained. Breeders informal partnership scheme obtain NPV value of Rp. 631 387, - Net B / C ratio is 1.02. IRR obtained is 13.0%, payback period of 6.09 is obtained, it deserves to be continued. A sensitivity analysis chicken feed decreased by 5% farmers obtain independent patterns NPV Rp. 17,224,284.29. Net B / C ratio of 6.99. IRR of 26.0% was obtained. Payback Period of 2.6, the effort worth continuing. Breeders informal partnership scheme to obtain NPV of Rp. -2,800,267. Net B / C Ratio is equal to -2.06. IRR obtained by 11.35% and PP by 3, 6, was not worth continuing.Keywords: Analysis, Feasibility and Marketing

Abstract

The production of corn as the second most important cereal crops after rice is dominated by smallholders, particularly in West Kalimantan. However, smallholders in farmer cooperatives are unsustainable because of the lack of decision-making power at the grassroots level; limited access to land, capital, technologies, information and financial services; low market competitiveness; weak management; and limited policy and socio-cultural norms. This research aims to construct the behavior model for performance change of cooperative farmers in Rasau Jaya, Kubu Raya district, West Kalimantan. It involved 75 smallholders recruited using purposive sampling technique. In-depth interviews using the structural equation modeling/SEM based on the new institutional approach and the theory of planned behavior were used in the study. The findings proved that intentions and past behaviors have positive and negative influence on farmers' cooperative behavior, but contradicted with control. Therefore, there are several efforts for changing the behavior in corn farmers’cooperatives, i.e. the perceived behavioral control can stimulate the motivation to be long-lived performing based on the resources and opportunities; pro-environmental behavior needs to engage a supportive injunctive norm and a supportive descriptive norm; a subjective norm for motivation to exhibitthe positive experiential attitude; and the confidence to perform and control their performance.
