Abstract

The economic problem is one of the things that the Indonesian government must consider. One of them is unemployment because it impacts the socioeconomic conditions of society. This condition is necessary to suppress or reduce the unemployment rate. This research was conducted to determine the conditions and variables affecting Indonesia's unemployment rate. The data analysis used is an econometric model on dynamic panel data using the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) developed by Arellano Bond. The study results show that the Human Development Index, inflation, minimum wages, and worker numbers significantly influence Indonesia's unemployment. In addition, the unemployment lag also has a significantly positive effect on unemployment. The findings of this study provide information on strategies for increasing the demand and supply of labor, wage regulation, search, match effectiveness in the labor market, and realistic short- and long-term policies. JEL Classification: C33, E24, J64 How to Cite:Agustina, M., Astuti, H., & Susilo, J. Abstract

Research Originality: This study examines the short-term and long-term relationships between macroeconomic variables and income inequality, adopting a broader approach than previous research, which has primarily focused on partial and simultaneous influences on income inequality.Research Objectives: This study aims to analyze the dynamic variables that affect income inequality in Indonesia.Research Methods: This study uses panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia from 2015 to 2023 and employs the Generalized Method of Moments Arellano Bond (GMM-AB) approach. This method was selected to address endogeneity and heteroscedasticity issues commonly encountered in panel data analysis.Empirical Results: The findings reveal that the Indonesian Democracy Index and the Gender Inequality Index significantly impact income inequality. Meanwhile, the ICT Development Index and the Human Development Index also exhibit significant influences. These results reinforce the argument that enhancing access to education and promoting gender equality are essential strategies for reducing income inequality.Implications: The study provides valuable insights for policymakers, emphasizing the need to strengthen democratic institutions and empower women through improved access to education and economic opportunities as key measures to mitigate income inequality.JEL Classification: D63, J16, O15, O32, P16How to Cite:Syafitri, A. Abstract

Global environmental issue education at SDM 3 ICP Sumberrejo aims to improve elementary school students' understanding of global environmental issues, with the hope of creating environmental awareness that triggers pro-environmental actions. Educational activities consist of two stages, the first is by providing learning knowledge in class, the second is by using posters. Before the educational activities were held, many students still did not know about global environmental issues. Thus, students' awareness of the importance of the environment had not yet been formed and student actions that led to pro-environmental activities were still very rare. After the educational activities were held, the general conditions showed positive changes starting from increasing students' understanding of global environmental issues, school support to ensure the sustainability of the education process, and changes in student behavior towards being pro-environment. The success of the program is measured by increasing student understanding and changes in student behavior. Suggestions for increasing program effectiveness are by implementing environmental education regularly, implementing pro-environmental activities especially in commemoration of World Environment Day, and making school-university cooperation agreements for environmental assistance. This program makes an important contribution to efforts to foster environmental awareness from an early age in order to realize sustainable development.
