Abstract

Composite material is one of the materials widely used in the field of construction engineering as a candidate for replacing metal materials. The advantages of this material include its low mass, ease of shape, and moisture resistance. However, this material still has many disadvantages, including low bending stress and easy to crack. Utilisation of waste materials such as bagasse which is worthless is one of the things that is very valuable, in this study we use it to be utilized as a high-value composite material to be used as the main material for making composite polymer materials in the field of engineering such as vehicles and ship hulls. In this study, we studied the flexural strength of composite materials from finely ground sugarcane fibre. From the test results, it is known that the flexural strength of the test material shows an increase in the variable of adding finely ground sugarcane fibre, the flexural strength increases from 10% to 20%, and after 20% the flexural stress value tends to decrease. The maximum flexural stress value was obtained with a mixture of finely ground sugarcane fibre with a percentage of 20% with a flexural stress value of 102.32 MPa, this value can increase the maximum flexural stress value of pure polyester by 42.52 MPa, showing an increase of 249.63%.

Abstract

Peanuts are a plant that is widely cultivated in Indonesia, but the process of peeling the skin is still often done manually, which requires a lot of time and effort. To increase efficiency in this process, a peanut peeling machine with a horizontal cylinder design was developed. This innovation is designed to make it easier for farmers and small entrepreneurs to peel peanuts with a larger production capacity. This peeling machine is equipped with a nut discharge regulation system and uses a 1 Hp electric motor with a speed of 1400 rpm which is transmitted to 700 rpm. The stripping process is carried out by putting the dried peanuts into the hopper, then the knife cylinder rotates to separate the husks from the peanuts. The system is supported by a belt and pulley mechanism that ensures smooth operation of the machine. The test results showed that this machine was able to peel peanuts with a capacity of 64 kg/hour, providing a significant increase in productivity when compared to manual methods. This machine is expected to provide a more efficient solution for the agricultural industry and home businesses in peanut processing.

Abstract

The smartphone industry has witnessed remarkable growth over the past decade, becoming one of the most dynamic and competitive markets globally. With technological advancements and increasing internet penetration, consumers increasingly rely on e-commerce platforms to purchase smartphones. Consequently, the quality of e-services provided by companies has emerged as a critical determinant of consumer purchase behaviour. Simultaneously, brand image remains a key factor influencing consumer preferences and loyalty. This study investigates the impact of e-service quality and brand image on consumers' purchase intentions for smartphone products. In an era where online shopping has become a dominant trend, understanding how these factors influence consumer behaviour is crucial for businesses seeking a competitive edge. Data for this research was collected from 100 respondents using structured questionnaires, and multiple regression analysis was employed to assess the relationships between the variables. The findings reveal that e-service quality and brand image significantly positively affect purchase intention. High-quality e-services, characterized by website functionality, responsiveness, and security, enhance consumer trust and encourage purchasing decisions. Simultaneously, a strong brand image fosters consumer loyalty and preference, further amplifying purchase intention. Moreover, the interplay between e-service quality and brand image shows a synergistic effect, where combining both factors results in even higher purchase intention. This research underscores the importance of seamless online experiences and robust branding strategies for companies operating in the smartphone market. Practical implications include businesses needing to continually improve their e-service platforms by investing in user-friendly designs, efficient customer service, and secure transaction systems. Maintaining a consistent and appealing brand image through targeted marketing and corporate social responsibility initiatives is critical. These efforts attract new customers and retain existing ones, driving long-term success in the competitive landscape of smartphone products. By addressing both e-service quality and brand image, companies can effectively influence consumer behaviour, enhance satisfaction, and foster brand loyalty.

Abstract

Polymers have been widely developed as alternative materials to replace metal materials due to various advantages such as low density and an easy manufacturing process. Still, polymers have many disadvantages, including not having high mechanical strength, easy to crack when hit by impact. One of the materials studied is an unsaturated polyester polymer widely used for composite matrices in vehicle structural components, aircraft and ship bodies, and vehicle components. One of the studied fibers is rice husk particle fiber. The study of cracks is crucial because it causes the material to no longer be able to support the load according to the previous plan and causes failure to occur more quickly. One way to overcome material failure due to cracks in the composite material is to prevent crack propagation by adding reinforcing material. In this study, a composite material was made using rice husk fiber to increase the crack resistance of the polyester composite matrix. From the results of crack testing, there is a tendency to increase the percentage of rice husks by 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. The value expected to be obtained for determining the crack resistance of the material is the value of the stress intensity factor (K1). The largest K1 value was obtained at the variable percentage of rice husk 15% with MMA as much as 10% and MEKP 4% obtained a stress intensity factor of 1,558 MPa.m0.5; this value can increase the value of the stress intensity factor of pure polyester K1 by 0.667 MPa.m0.5 which shows an increase of 233.58%.

Abstract

The use of pocket book as a learning media is still limited. This will make it difficult for students to understand the material. The purpose of this research was to determine the feasibility results of tissue culture pocket book, the level of product feasibility through responses from lecturers, students and to see the effectiveness of tissue culture pocket book products especially in tool sterilization and in vitro propagation topics. The research method uses R&D with 4D models from Thiagrajaan. The results of the needs analysis showed that 66,7% of students had difficulty in understanding the material of tool sterilization and in vitro propagation. In curriculum analysis using the KKNI curriculum. The feasibility level of the assessment product from media experts obtained the criteria "Very worthy" with percentage of 91,67%, assessment of material experts with the criteria "worhty" with percentage of 84,74% and assessment results of learning design experts with the criteria "Very worthy" with percentage of 91,67%. Then the lecturer's response obtained results with the criteria "Worthy" with a percentage of 83,75%. In small group trials with scores of 89.4% and limited field trials of 90%. The disseminate stage obtained an N-Gain score of 0,56 with the "medium" criteria. ABSTRAK: Penggunaan buku saku sebagai media pembelajaran masih terbatas. Hal ini akan menyulitkan mahasiswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil kelayakan buku saku kultur jaringan, tingkat kelayakan produk melalui tanggapan dari dosen, mahasiswa dan untuk melihat efektivitas produk buku saku kultur jaringan khususnya pada topik sterilisasi alat dan perbanyakan in vitro. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan R&D dengan model 4D Thiagrajaan. Hasil analisis kebutuhan menunjukkan bahwa 66,7% mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi sterilisasi alat dan propagasi in vitro. Kurikulum yang digunakan adalah KKNI. Tingkat kelayakan produk penilaian dari ahli media diperoleh hasil dengan kriteria "Sangat layak" dengan persentase 91,67%, penilaian ahli materi dengan kriteria "Layak" dengan persentase 84,74% dan hasil penilaian ahli desain pembelajaran dengan kriteria "Sangat layak" dengan persentase 91,67%. Kemudian respon dosen diperoleh hasil dengan kriteria "Layak" dengan persentase 83,75%. Dalam uji coba kelompok kecil diperoleh skor 89,4% dan uji coba lapangan terbatas 90%. Tahap disseminate memperoleh skor N-Gain 0,56 dengan kriteria "sedang".

Abstract

3D Printing training has been implemented as part of efforts to develop technical competence in vocational education, especially for students of the Light Vehicle Department at SMK Dhuafa Padang. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of 3D Printing training in improving students' skills in the application of additive manufacturing technology in the automotive sector. The training methods applied include the delivery of theoretical materials, technical demonstrations, and exercises. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the training was conducted through comparative analysis of pre-test and post-test results, which aims to measure the improvement of participants' competence before and after attending the training. The results of data analysis showed a significant increase in students' mastery of concepts and technical skills, especially in the use of 3D printing technology for component manufacturing. This training is expected to be a relevant and adaptive learning model, in order to prepare SMK graduates to face the dynamics of the automotive industry which is increasingly based on technology and innovation

Abstract

The increase in the average need for oil and gas for both the public and the industrial sector has forced Indonesian oil and gas companies to look for new oil reserves in the midst of declining oil and gas production from year to year. If Indonesian sub-oil and gas companies cannot survive in these conditions, they are likely to experience losses that will affect their financial position and will eventually face financial distress or be threatened with bankruptcy. The purpose of this research is to determine the prediction of bankruptcy in sub-oil and gas companies in Indonesia that are listed on the IDX. 2017 – 2020 using Altman's Z – score and Springate models. Using the purposive sampling method in sampling, 11 oil and gas mining sub-sector companies were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017 – 2020 from a total population of 44 companies obtained from the website www.idx.co.id as secondary data. The score of each model is calculated mathematically with the Microsoft Excel Office 2019 application, and then performs calculations to find the most accurate bankruptcy prediction model. The results show that the Altman Z-Score and Springate models in predicting bankruptcy have a low level of accuracy.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to determine the effect of service and product quality on UNIQLO Living World Pekanbaru customer satisfaction. The respondents for this research were 100 people using random samples. The data analysis technique used to answer the hypothesis is multiple regression, classical assumption test, F hypothesis test, t hypothesis test, coefficient of determination using SPSS 25 and Microsoft Excel 2016. The research results show that service quality and product quality have a positive influence. influences student satisfaction both partially and simultaneously. From the results of the coefficient of determination test (R2), it is known that the two independent variables contribute 52.9% in influencing the dependent variable, namely customer satisfaction in choosing UNIQLO Living World Pekanbaru products.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengimplementasikan strategi pemasaran produk susu etawa dengan berbagai variasi rasa di Kecamatan Bandar Khalipah guna meningkatkan daya saing dan penetrasi pasar lokal. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, serta pendampingan langsung kepada mitra. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi diskusi identifikasi masalah, penyusunan modul pelatihan, uji coba produk skala kecil, forum diskusi kelompok (FGD) dengan pakar, hingga pendampingan legalitas usaha. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa inovasi variasi rasa (kopi, herbal, dan buah-buahan) mampu meningkatkan minat beli konsumen secara signifikan, terbukti dari peningkatan penjualan Mitra 1 dari rata-rata 18-27 liter susu original menjadi 20-45 cup varian baru per hari, serta Mitra 2 dari 14-23 liter susu original menjadi 10-28 cup varian baru per hari. Implementasi bauran pemasaran (produk, harga, distribusi, dan promosi) secara terintegrasi terbukti efektif dalam memperluas segmen pasar dan memperkuat daya saing produk.

Abstract

Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) plus manure technology is designed to control the vascular streak dieback disease (VSD) which attacks cocoa plants, and improve the plant growth. This research aims to compare the cost of using conventional manure and PGPR plus manure technology. This research was designed in a descriptive quantitative approach using cencus data of 43 people who use PGPR plus manure in Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota. The result shows that the conventional fertilizer costs is more expensive than the PGPR plus manure formula. Therefore, it PGPR plus manure formula is recommended for the cacao farmers in Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota.
