Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine: (1) The average difference between the use of student motivation guided inquiry method with modified free inquiry method, (2) the average difference in student learning outcomes between the use of guided inquiry with the inquiry method freely modified. Population were all eighth grade students in the second semester in the SMP Negeri 1 Candipuro, while samples taken VIIId the class as a class using guided inquiry and VIIIe class as a class that uses a modified method of free inquiry. Sampling technique using cluster random sampling. The results from this research is: (1) There is a difference in mean average student motivation between the use of guided inquiry method with the modified method of free inquiry, (2) There is a difference in average student learning outcomes between the use of guided inquiry with modified method of free inquiry. The average value of learning outcomes in the classroom guided inquiry is 70.87 while in the class of non-modified inquiry is 66.21 and the average value of motivation in classroom guided inquiry is 69.57. while in the class of non-modified inquiry is 65.90. Abstract

This development research aims (1) to create an instrument of Physics learning outcome at SMA on the topic Impulse and Momentum, and (2) to describe reliability, validity, discrimination power, and level of difficulty an instrument. The procedur of development include requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that interactive quiz program have 0.80 as the reliability index; 0.79 as the specialist validity testing value and 0.67 as the anates the validity index; The average index of the difference and the difficulty level are 0.26 and 0.8125. Based on these results, it can be concluded that interactive quiz has good criterion as instrument of physics learning outcome.Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Membuat instrumen penilaian hasil belajar fisika SMA materi pokok Impuls dan Momentum berbentuk kuis interaktif, dan (2) Mendeskripsikan reliabilitas, validitas, daya beda, dan tingkat kesukaran instrumen. Tahapan pengembangan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan program kuis interaktif reliabel dengan indeks reliabilitas 0,80; indeks validitas 0,79 dalam uji ahli dan 0,67, dalam anates; rata-rata indeks daya beda dan tingkat kesukaran, yaitu 0,26 dan 0,8125. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, maka disimpulkan bahwa adalah kuis interaktif memiliki kriteria baik serta layak digunakan sebagai instrumen penilaian pembelajaran fisika SMA.Kata kunci: Pengembangan, Kuis Interaktif, Impuls dan Momentum, Wondershare Quiz Creator

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to find out: 1) the influence of science process skill (or KPS) to student’s physic learning results through experiment method with guided inquiry approach; 2) experiment method effectiveness with guided inquiry approach in training/developing student’s science process skill indicated by unimproved student’s learning results. This was a quasi experiment and conducted in State Senior High School 1 in Punduh Pidada in Pesawaran regency. Population was all students of grade X in State Senior High School 1 in Punduh Pidada. Samples were students in classroom X1 and were selected with purposive sampling technique. Data were collected with test method and non test method (observation) by using pretest and posttest learning results and observation sheets of science process skill. This research used simple linier regression test and t-test for analysis, where the requirement test used normality and linearity tests. The results showed that t-count was higher than t-table (4.169 2.035), so that Ho that stated that there was no any influence between science process skills to the student’s physic learning results through experiment method with guided inquiry approach was rejected. It meant that there was a significant influence of science process skill to student’s physic learning results through experiment method with guided inquiry approach. R Square analysis derived a very significant influence (36.7%). In addition, experiment method with guided inquiry approach was very effective in training/developing science process skill as well as improving student’s learning results (cognitive domain). The proof was 79% improvement percentage of average student’s learning results.Keywords: science process skill, experiment method, and guided inquiry

Abstract

Learning activity is a series of physical and mental activity. To obtain a good learning result the physical and mental activity must be coordinated. The better the activities undertaken by the students then students will understand and master the subject matter presented by the teacher, so that students will gain maximum learning results. The aim of this study was to determine the activity and higher student outcomes between classes using authentic assessment models with conventional assessment models. The population in this study were high school students of class VII in Utama 2 Bandar Lampung while the sample is class X1 and X4 semester Utama 2 Bandar Lampung school, sampling was take using Purposive Sampling technique. Variable was consist of two independent variables and two dependent variables, Authentic Assessment, Conventional Assessment, Activity, and Learning Outcomes. Different test using Independent Sample t-Test showed H0 is rejected. The results showed that learning activities for classroom use authentic assessment is higher than the class that uses conventional assessment, while learning outcomes did not show any difference.Aktivitas belajar adalah serangkaian kegiatan fisik dan mental. Untuk memperoleh hasil belajar yang baik maka aktivitas fisik dan mental harus terkoordinasi dengan baik. Semakin baik aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh siswa maka siswa akan semakin memahami dan meguasai materi pelajaran yang disampaikan oleh guru, sehingga siswa akan memperoleh hasil belajar yang maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Aktivitas dan hasil siswa yang lebih tinggi antara kelas yang menggunakan model penilaian otentik dengan model penilaian konvensional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di SMA Utama 2 Bandar Lampung sedangkan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X4 semester ganjil SMA Utama 2 Bandar Lampung, pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Variabel terdiri dari dua variabel bebas dan dua variabel terikat. Uji beda menggunakan uji Independent Sample t-Test menunjukkan H0 ditolak. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan aktivitas belajar untuk kelas yang menggunakan penilaian otentik lebih tinggi dari kelas yang menggunakan penilaian konvensional, sedangkan hasil belajar tidak menunjukkan adanya perbedaan.Kata kunci: Aktivitas, Hasil Belajar, Penilaian Konvensional, Penilaian Otentik.

Abstract

Based on the results of interview done by researchers against the junior high school in Bandar Lampung, is known that many students do not have learning resources such as books for use outside of school hours. It is known that the stu-dent's reason do not have a source of learning is the limited cost and the difficulty in getting it. Taking into account these problems, the researcher developed an electronic books as a learning resource. Electronic books are developed based on multiple representations to matter physics junior high school class VIII. The pur-pose of this development is to make the students more interested in learning and can develop students' understanding of physics concepts. Development's model used in this study was adapted from the model of media development and learn-ing according Suyanto and Sartinem (2009). Development's model includes five procedures product development and product testing, namely: preliminary re-search, creation of script/ design materials, product development, product testing (internal testing and external testing), and the dissemination and implementa-tion. Internal test results indicate that the learning resource has been developed in accordance with the content standards and fit for use as a learning resource for students. External test results showed that the quality of learning resource are very attractive, reaching 96% for attractive level of product and effective used as a learning resource, reaching 82% of students are complete the KKM. So, we can conclude that generated the learning resource such as electronic books based multiple representations that have been tested and fit for use with very attractive qualities and declared effective as a learning resource.Key words : development, electronic books and multiple representations.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop student book with character value and scientific approach for senior students which is attractive, easy, useful and effective to be used as a learning media. The development procedures consist of: need analysis, resources identification, identification of product spesifications, product development, product validity, internal test, external test of product, revision, and production. Results of external test showed that student book has a score 81,5% that student have passed the test and indicate that student book is effective to be used in learning. Beside of that student book has scores of 3,58 in attractiveness, 3,44 in easiness and 3,41 in usefulness, so student book has excellent category.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku siswa bermuatan nilai karakter dengan pendekatan saintifik pada materi kinematika untuk siswa SMA dengan tujuan mengetahui kemenarikan, kemudahan, kemanfaatan, dan keefektifan buku siswa tersebut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development. Tahapan prosedur pengembangan meliputi: analisis kebutuhan, identifikasi sumber daya, identifikasi produk, pengembangan produk, validasi produk melalui uji internal, revisi produk 1, uji eksternal produk, revisi produk 2, dan produksi masal. Hasil uji eksternal menunjukkan buku siswa efektif digunakan pada pembelajaran yaitu mencapai 81,5 % siswa tuntas KKM. Selain itu, hasil menunjukkan bahwa buku siswa memiliki skor sebesar 3,58 pada uji kemenarikan, skor sebesar 3,44 pada uji kemudahan dan skor sebesar 3,41 pada uji kemanfaatan sehingga buku siswa berkategorikan sangat baik.Kata kunci: buku siswa, buku siswa berkarakter, nilai karakter, pendekatan saintifik.

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine students' creative thinking abilities after being given a problem-based learning (PBL) model with practicum method on energy conversion material. The Quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design was used in this study. The measurement of the effect of students' creative thinking abilities uses 10 questions of creative thinking abilities with indicators, i.e. elaboration and flexibility. The questions were given to students before and after being treated and the results of the data were analyzed using paired sample T-Test and N-Gain. Hypothesis test results about the effect of students' creative thinking abilities using problem-based learning models with practicum on energy conversion material obtained asymp sig values. (2 tailed) of 0.001 and the value of N-Gain is 0,672. Based on these results, it is known that students experience an increase in the ability to think creatively after being given learning with a problem-based learning model with practicum methods on energy conversion material. Abstract

This study aim were to determine (1) the characteristics of learning physics-based comic graphic design (2) the attractiveness, usefulness, and the ease of learning physics-based on comic graphic design (3) The effectiveness of learning physics-based on comic graphic design. The development procedures included the analysis of the needs, objectives, subject matter, synopsis, early script, prototype production, evaluation, revision, the final draft, the trial, and the final comic. Results from this study were (1) it is produced the characteristic of comic-based graphic design and contains the Quantities and Units material for junior high school class VII, and it is presented by a picture in full color book format (2) it has the attractiveness score of 3.55 (very interesting),the ease scores of 3.48 (very easy),the expediency score of 3.57 (very useful).(3) Comic of physics learning is effective to be used by students has completed 80.65% of the set value, which is 72.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; (1) Karakteristik komik pembelajaran fisika berbasis desain grafis; (2) Kemenarikan, kemanfaatan, dan kemudahan komik pembelajaran fisika berbasis desain grafis; (3) Keefektifan komik pembelajaran fisika berbasis desain grafis. Prosedur pengembangan tersebut meliputi analisis kebutuhan, tujuan, pokok materi, sinopsis, naskah awal, produksi prototipe, evaluasi, revisi, naskah akhir, uji coba, komik final. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu; (1) menghasilkan komik yang memiliki karakteristik berbasis desain grafis, dan berisi materi Besaran dan Satuan SMP kelas VII SMP, dan disajikan dengan gambar dalam bentuk buku full color; (2) Komik yang dikembangkan memiliki skor kemenarikan 3,55 (sangat menarik), skor kemudahan 3,48 (sangat mudah), skor kemanfaatan 3,57 (sangat bermanfaat); (3) Komik pembelajaran fisika dikatakan efektif untuk digunakan karena 80,65% siswa telah tuntas dari KKM, yaitu 72.Kata kunci: Berbasis Desain Grafis, Pengembangan, Komik

Abstract

This study aim to determine the improvement of students conceptual mastery in the implementation of LCDS-based learning module. The sample of this research was students of X IPA1 and X IPA2 class of SMA Negeri 1 Abung Selatan. This research was conducted using Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design type and the data retrieval technique used was the test technique. Data were the tested with N-gain analysis, normality test, homogeneity test and Independent Sample T-test. Results of the Independent Sample T-test value was the Sig value. (2-Tailed) less than 0.05 ie 0.000, it can be stated there is an increase in conceptual mastery in the implementation of LCDS-based learning module. Based on the N-gain value, the average N-gain mastery of the students concept in the experimental class was 0.62 with the medium category, while the control class with the medium category was 0.48. Application of LCDS-based learning module able to improve mastery of student concepts.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa dalam penerapan modul pembelajaran berbasis LCDS. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA1 dan XIPA2 SMA Negeri 1 Abung Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan tipe Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design dan teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan ialah teknik tes. Data diuji dengan analisis N-gain, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan Independent Sample T-test. Hasil dari uji nilai Independent Sample T-test nilai Sig. (2-Tailed) kurang dari 0.05 yaitu 0.000, maka dapat dinyatakan terdapat peningkatan penguasaan konsep dalam penerapan modul pembelajaran berbasis LCDS. Berdasarkan nilai N-gain, rata-rata N-gain penguasaan konsep siswa pada kelas eskperimen sebesar 0,62 dengan kategori sedang, sedangkan kelas kontrol dengan kategori sedang sebesar 0,48. Penerapan modul pembelajaran berbasis LCDS mampu meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa.Kata kunci: LCDS, Modul Pembelajaran, Penguasaan Konsep

Abstract

Using Problem Based Instruction method is capable to improve Learning outcomes compare to Cooperative Learning method, particularly Think Pair Share type. Outcomes is measured based on final exam result.The intent of this comparison study using two above methods is allowing us to differentiate the average cognitive aspect of student’s learning outcomes in physics. The design of this study uses Post Test-Only Control type in Quasi Experiment Design form. The analytical of learning outcome uses the mean score of final exam, while the hypothetical uses independent Sample T-Test,Refers to independent test result analysis between Problem Based Instruction and Think Pair Share method, there is difference in average mark two clases gained in their final exam. Quantitative data shows that Problem Based Instruction method has higher value compare to Think Pair Share method. Students in the class who are using Problem Based Instruction methode have become proactive and directly involve in learning process. It may lead us to effectivemess of the method that has significant contribution in improving student's learning outcom.Keywords: Problem Based Instruction, Cooperative Learning Think Pair Share Type, Learning Outcomes.
