Abstract

The BRICS alliance has become a significant player in the global economy, making it imperative for member nations to engage in strategic trade. With abundant natural resources and a thriving agriculture industry, Indonesia is well-positioned to capitalize on the trade prospects within BRICS. This study utilizes quantitative methods from secondary data. It employs analytical tools, including Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Export Product Dynamics (EPD), and Intra-Industry Trade (IIT), to offer insights and evidence-based recommendations for shaping Indonesia's future trade policies on agricultural commodities within the BRICS framework. The results show that Indonesia's trade in agricultural products with the BRICS countries is positive, as it offers a high level of competitiveness during the period studied. The RCA analysis results show that Indonesian agricultural products are competitive in BRICS. This analysis also shows that India and China have the most significant impact on Indonesian agricultural trade with BRICS. Based on the EPD calculation results, Indonesian agricultural exports to BRICS countries are in the Rising Star quadrant. Based on the analysis, Indonesia's trade in agricultural products with BRICS countries shows a high level of integration with a value of 70.12, indicating significant similarities in the products exchanged.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan preferensi wisatawan terhadap Agrowisata Belimbing Ngringinrejo Bojonegoro. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 96 orang, yang diambil dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling.  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah konjoin untuk menilai preferensi wisatawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik mayoritas wisatawan adalah perempuan usia 17-29 tahun, mahasiswa, berpendapatan di bawah UMR, kunjungan 1-2 kali, dan berdomisili di Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Analisis konjoin menunjukkan preferensi kombinasi terbaik untuk lokasi Agrowisata Belimbing Ngringinrejo adalah  daya tarik petik belimbing, pelayanan tambahan pemandu wisata, fasilitas area parkir, akses dekat dengan jalan utama, transportasi mobil, serta cendera mata makanan khas dan gantungan kunci.

Abstract

Kebun Village is one of the villages located in Kamal District, Bangkalan Regency The characteristics of the land in this village are dry land, so it is necessary to match the commodities to be developed with the characteristics of the existing land. The purpose of this study is to identify the condition of the community in Kebun village, then develop an empowerment strategy through optimization of superior commodities. The methods used in this study were RRA (Rapid Rural Appraisal) and PRA (Participatory Rural Apraisal) combined with interview techniques to informants, namely village officials and farmer groups Karya Mulya in Desa Kebun. The results of this study were known that peanut commodities could be a leading commodity in Kebun Village. The community in Kebun village needed to develop to optimize the potential in Kebun Village through collaboration with BUMDes

Abstract

Maize production in Lenteng Timur Village fluctuates every year with an average decrease of 38%. The decline indicates that there are problems faced by farmers in running their farms. The purpose of this research is to identify risk events and risk sources, and analyze the risks using the House of Risk (HOR) model at the level of hybrid maize farmers in East Lenteng Village. This research was conducted from September - November 2022 with the object of research are hybrid maize farmers in East Lenteng Village. 43 farmers were selected by purposive sampling based on Lemeshow formula. The analysis method used was the House of Risk (HOR). The results of the HOR Phase 1 analysis show that there are 13 Risk Events and 9 risk sources (Risk Agent) which are then prioritized into 5 priority risk sources for further mitigation action. In the HOR Phase 2 analysis, there are 5 mitigation strategies for handling priority risks. These mitigation strategies can be carried out to reduce losses during the hybrid maize production process.

Abstract

Purpose – The research aims to identify business actors' satisfaction with services and analyze the attributes influencing service quality at the halal hub MSME Sumenep. Method – The quantitative research involves 60 respondents, selected using purposive sampling with criteria who had received assistance from the halal hub MSME Sumenep. The data source used is primary data collected through structured questionnaires distributed directly to respondents. The methods used for the analysis are the CSI (customer satisfaction index) and IPA (importance performance analysis). Findings – The CSI analysis results indicate that business actors were very satisfied. Meanwhile, the results of the IPA analysis in quadrant I show three priority improvement attributes: completing administration on time, being ready to serve at any time during working hours and helping obtain certification. The IPA matrix also revealed attributes in Quadrant II that should be maintained due to their strong performance and perceived importance. In contrast, attributes in Quadrants III and IV represent lower strategic priority. Enhanced satisfaction is expected to foster user loyalty and generate positive word-of-mouth among other MSMEs. MSME satisfaction will make the business ask for services from halal hub again and even recommend these services to other MSMEs. Implications – Theoretically, these findings support the notion that service quality is shaped by users' perceptions of both performance and the importance of service attributes. Empirically, the study provides practical insights into halal support institutions in designing service improvements that align with business actors' expectations.

Abstract

The community service aims to increase the understanding of business legalities such as NIB certificates, labels, and product packaging for SMEs in Parseh village, Socah district, and Bangkalan regency. The program implementation method is carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and post-implementation. The program focuses on two activities: assistance in issuing NIB certificates and knowledge about labels and product packaging to 30 MSMEs. These activities showed that most SMEs do not have NIB and lacked knowledge about the importance of business legality labels and packaging for three months. By conducting this program, all of the SMEs have succeeded in issuing NIB certificates, as well as successfully making mock-ups of labels and product packaging that are suitable for business improvement. The program evaluation shows that all aspects of the implementation of activities, such as benefits, facilities, and roles of the companions, have good values and relatively high NPS (Net Promoter Score) values, which are beneficial for SMEs.

Abstract

Sorgum merupakan salah satu tanaman serealia yang mampu tumbuh di lahan marginal. Desa Patihan merupakan salah satu desa yang membudidayakan sorgum dengan petani tergabung dalam Kelompok Tani Makmur Tiga dan Empat. Peran kelompok tani sangat penting dalam kegiatan usahatani. Namun, peran kelompok tani terhadap usahatani sorgum di Desa Patihan masih kurang sehingga menyebabkan produktivitas sorgum tidak maksimal. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk: 1) mengetahui peran kelompok tani dalam mendukung produktivitas sorgum; (2) mengetahui hubungan antara peran kelompok tani terhadap produktivitas sorgum. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 36 petani dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif dan korelasi rank spearman dengan variabel independen kelas belajar, wahana kerjasama, dan unit produksi serta variabel dependen yaitu produktivitas sorgum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran kelompok tani sebagai kelas belajar, wahana kerjasama, dan unit produksi termasuk dalam kategori berperan. Berdasarkan analisis korelasi rank spearman menunjukkan bahwa indikator peran kelompok tani yang memiliki hubungan signifikan terhadap produktivitas yaitu indikator kelas belajar, tetapi pada indikator wahana kerjasama dan unit produksi tidak memiliki hubungan signifikan. Kelompok tani diharapkan tetap mempetahankan keberadaan kelompok tani, mengaplikasikan informasi yang diberikan oleh penyuluh, serta memperluas akses pasar dengan melakukan kerjasama dengan pihak lembaga pasar.

Abstract

Production process of taro-chips is still unstable due to constraints in operational section, like raw taro materials that are not always available, causing the production process of taro-chips be carried out while waiting for raw taro materials to be available. Time gap between availability of taro-chips and consumer demand creates risks that affect business performance. This microbusiness must share results with BUMDes because it is a BUMDes-assisted business. The purpose of research is identifying risks and sources in taro-chips MSME operational process assisted by BUMDes Lenteng Timur, analyzing of operational risk level using HOR (House of Risk) method, and determining mitigation strategies in reducing of potential risk occurrence. The research was conducted in Lenteng Timur Village, with respondents are the owners and managers of taro-chips microbusinesses. The HOR phase 1 result obtained 12 risk events and 7 risk sources (risk agents), which are prioritized into 4 priority risk sources, which can be used to carry out risk mitigation actions. In HOR phase 2, 5 mitigation strategies can be done to overcome priority risks. These mitigation strategies can be conducted to overcome existing risks to reduce the potential for risk occurrence in operational activities that affect the production of taro-chips.

Abstract

Sobih is one of 12 villages in Burneh District, Bangkalan Regency. The village's physical condition is fantastic, it is not polluted, and vacant land has not been used as a building. Some residents use this to cultivate catfish. Then, they formed the Super Madura Catfish Cultivator Group. This group produces catfish rearing, brooders, breeding, and catfish feed. Catfish are sold in fresh catfish and catfish seeds. Based on the interviews with group leaders, they want to develop processed catfish products to add value to the catfish of sale. They provide a solution for processed products in catfish dumplings based on existing potential. This program aims to introduce how to make catfish dumplings, which will increase the selling value of catfish through counseling, training, and mentoring. In this program implementation, several stages were carried out, namely, the planning stage, including surveys to target partners; the preparation stage, covering licensing, procurement of tools and materials, and schedule planning; then the implementation stage, covering socialization, training continued with application with assistance during direct practice by partners. Through this program, the group hoped to develop the production of processed catfish dumplings and increase the selling value of catfish and the group's income.

Abstract

SME’s is an industry that plays an essential role in Indonesia’s economic development. As one of the SME’s, A.M Tahu has a problem fulfilling raw materials. The existence of special orders and moral hazard from suppliers were often obstacles in the production process, so A.M. Tahu needed to make a negotiation process to get affordable prices, good quality, and flexibility in the quantity of raw materials with a limited choice of suppliers. The negotiation process certainly does not immediately reach the desired agreement, but it needs to convince both parties. The research aimed to determine the negotiation process between A.M Tahu and raw material suppliers in reaching agreements. This study’s data are primary and secondary using AHP (Analysis Hierarchy Process) analysis and descriptive methods. The result showed that the negotiation process for A.M Tahu has several stages in reaching an agreement between the two parties, starting from preparation, meetings, offering, and signing a contract. A.M Tahu gets a more reasonable raw material price of IDR3,000 per kilogram than the price should be, soybean quantity flexibility, and reasonable quality assurance of soybean grain raw materials. A.M Tahu is also prioritized in choosing suppliers outside the sub-district and making raw material variables the primary consideration in supplier selection.
