Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of the Talaqqi method in memorizing short surahs in early childhood at RA Al-junaidiyah Kampung Lama. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method (field research), which includes data collection carried out by direct observation. The results of this research are (1) Implementation of the Talaqqi method in memorizing short surahs in early childhood. Where teachers at RA Al-junaidiyah have implemented the Talaqqi method well (2) Children's ability to memorize short surahs in early childhood. The ability of children to memorize short surahs in RA Al-junaidiyah varies, with some children being fast at memorizing, some being moderate and some being slow. The subjects for memorizing this short surah were 23 students from the rose class. There are 8 children who are developing very well, 14 children are developing according to expectations, while 2 children are starting to develop. (3) The supporting factors in implementing the Talaqqi method are health factors, intelligence factors and motivation factors. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors in implementing the Talaqqi method are the child's lack of patience, the child's lack of seriousness and the child's lack of focus in memorizing.

Abstract

Name: Trini Dama Yanti. Student ID: 20030041. This thesis discusses the analysis of singing methods in early childhood language development at RA As-Syarif, Sibanggor Jae village. The research aims to determine (1) the language development of early childhood at RA As-Syarif and (2) the effectiveness of the singing method in supporting language development. This qualitative study employs a descriptive approach, describing data processing results through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate significant progress in children's language development at RA As-Syarif, particularly in symbolic and complex language use. The singing method has proven effective in enhancing vocabulary, speaking skills, and children's confidence. This research concludes that the singing method creates a fun learning environment that supports early childhood language development.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development of Iqro’ block educational tools to introduce Hijaiyah letters to children at Raudhatul Athfal Al-Hilal Atar. The research aims to determine the use of Iqro’ blocks in teaching Hijaiyah letters, evaluate their effectiveness in enhancing children's recognition of these letters, and assess their practicality in the learning process. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, this study comprises five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results show that the Iqro’ blocks significantly improve children's ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters through interactive and enjoyable learning methods. The validation from experts indicated that the educational tool is highly feasible, achieving an average score of 4.76. Teachers also noted increased engagement and motivation among students during lessons utilizing the Iqro’ blocks. This research underscores the importance of using innovative educational tools in early childhood education to enhance the learning experience and improve literacy skills.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to develop the Box Magic Alphabet Educational Game Tool, understand the characteristics, test practicality, ensure effectiveness and describe the difficulties experienced by students and educators in using the Box Magic Alphabet Educational Game Tool. The method used is Research and Development research using the ADDIE development model. The results of this research are: (1) The Box Magic Alphabet Educational Game Tool Development Process was developed using the ADDIE model. Based on the results of the Box Magic Alphabet product assessment instrument, it is said to be very good as a learning medium for students to recognize letters. The Box Magic Alphabet product that was developed also produced a guidebook created to make it easier for teachers in the process of making and using the Box Magic Alphabet. (2) Characteristics of the Magic Alphabet Box Educational Game Tool which has the characteristics of being simple, interesting, fun, durable and long-lasting, easy to use and can improve aspects of student development. (3) The effectiveness of the Box Magic Alphabet educational game tool in introducing letters to early childhood as an effective learning medium. This is because the existence of educational game tools can make it easier for teachers to convey information through the media provided, with a percentage value reaching 92% and is considered very valid. (4) The practicality of the Magic Alphabet Box Educational Game Tool in introducing letters to young children can be seen from its simple use, it does not confuse children and is also easy for teachers to practice, with a percentage score of 96% and is considered very valid.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Islamic songs in the spiritual development of early childhood in RA Arafah Sipolu-polu, Panyabungan District, Mandailing Natal Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data used in this study include observations, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the data analysis show that Islamic songs have a role in helping early childhood in introducing the concept of divinity and religion, understanding and values of Islam, increasing love for Allah and the Messenger, getting used to worship from an early age, providing peace of mind to those who listen to it, and helping in the formation of character and morals in early childhood. Supporting factors include the active involvement of teachers and parents, the use of appropriate media, and a supportive learning environment. Conversely, inhibiting factors include a lack of support from parents, limited access to appropriate songs, and a lack of understanding of the importance of songs in early childhood learning. Islamic songs contain various spiritual values that help children understand and practice religious teachings. Some of the spiritual values contained in Islamic songs include: Faith Education, Worship Education and Moral Education

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development/R&D) yang berfokus pada pengembangan Alat Permainan Edukatif (APE) berbasis pendekatan STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) untuk Anak Usia Dini (AUD). Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah: (1) mendeskripsikan tahapan pengembangan bahan ajar yang dinamakan Luncur Bambu, (2) mengeksplorasi bagaimana APE ini dapat memberikan stimulasi terhadap keterampilan berbahasa anak usia dini selama bermain, (3) menguji kelayakan materi dan media yang digunakan dalam APE ini, serta (4) menganalisis respon guru terhadap aspek kepraktisan APE yang dikembangkan. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE, yang terdiri dari lima tahapan utama: Analysis (Analisis), Design (Perancangan), Development (Pengembangan), Implementation (Implementasi), dan Evaluation (Evaluasi). Penelitian ini melibatkan tiga Raudhatul Athfal (RA), yaitu RA Adnani, RA Al Furqon, dan RA Darussalam, dengan subjek utama penelitian adalah 21 anak usia 4-6 tahun dari RA Adnani, yang berlokasi di Jalan Abri, Panyabungan Kota. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi dalam uji kelayakan, penerapan pendekatan STEAM terbukti memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan berbahasa anak usia dini. Nilai F hitung sebesar 136.451 menunjukkan bahwa model yang digunakan valid dan layak dalam mengukur keterampilan berbahasa anak dengan menggunakan APE berbasis STEAM. Respon guru terhadap kepraktisan APE berbasis STEAM dianalisis melalui skala Likert, di mana hasilnya menunjukkan rata-rata skor sebesar 83.5, yang termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Praktis. Ini menunjukkan bahwa para guru menilai APE ini sebagai media pembelajaran yang mudah digunakan, efektif, dan dapat mendukung pengembangan keterampilan berbahasa anak usia dini secara optimal.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the types of illocutionary acts and the dominant illocutionary acts used in the speech. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through transcription and analyzed using data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The data were classified into multiple categories based on the concepts outlined in John R. Searle's theory. Only one speech by Leen Alkassab, delivered at the graduation ceremony for ambassador doctors at Harvard Medical School in the United States, was used as the data source for this research. The findings indicate two illocutionary acts: assertive, and expressive. Assertive acts were the most dominant found in the speech, with 22 occurrences, most of which involved stating functions. Expressive acts were found in 13 cases, with the illocutionary functions of gratitude and thanks being the most common. Directive and commissive acts were the least frequent, while declarative acts were not found in the speech, as they require specific conditions for declarative utterance to occur.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Technology-Enhanced Language Learning (TELL) and its impact on English Language Teaching (ELT). The research addresses the issue of how technology influences students' learning experiences in ELT. The study aims to examine students' perspectives on the use of digital tools in language learning and their effectiveness in enhancing the learning process. A case study approach was employed, with data collected through the interactive platform Mentimeter. Fourteen students from the Tadris Bahasa Inggris Study Program at STAIN Mandailing Natal participated by providing their opinions on the integration of technology in ELT during a presentation session. The analysis reveals that the majority of respondents expressed positive perceptions of technology use in ELT. Students highlighted those various digital tools introduce a new dimension to learning, making the process more engaging and accessible. Key benefits identified include easier access to resources, increased interactivity, and greater flexibility in learning. These findings emphasize the significance of incorporating digital tools into language instruction to enhance the overall learning experience.

Abstract

This study explores audio-visual media's development process and effectiveness in improving memory retention among early childhood learners. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the Borg and Gall model (2003), the research followed ten stages, including preliminary studies, planning, product development, implementation, and evaluation. The media developed consisted of educational animated videos presenting letters and numbers through visual elements, audio, and interactive activities tailored to the learning characteristics of young children. The validation results showed a feasibility score of 97.14%, categorized as very high. The trial was conducted at RA Darussalam and involved both teachers and students. Observations and interviews revealed that the children were enthusiastic, focused, and actively engaged in learning. They could answer questions and recall information effectively after using the media. Teachers noted that the press enhanced student participation and engagement in classroom activities. The audio-visual media created an enjoyable learning atmosphere and stimulated children's cognitive and social abilities. It also helped reduce learning fatigue and increased students' interest in the subject. Based on these findings, the media is considered adequate for early childhood education, particularly in strengthening memory retention and understanding of basic concepts.
