Abstract

Background: Antenatal Care (ANC) is a service provided to pregnant women to facilitate pregnancy that is good for the mother and fetus and as a step to conceptualize the early hours of the events that occur in the mother and fetus, and as preparation for labor. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) target, in 2030, all countries must reduce the number of maternal mortality in 2010.Aim: This research intended to describe the liability of pregnant women to go to antenatal care.Methods: The type of research used is a cross-sectional study design with descriptive and using secondary data taken from the Tomohon City Health Profile book for 2015-2017. Results: The results showed that from 2015-2017 there was an increase in K-1 visits by 3.7% and a decrease in K-4 visits by 1.6%. There was 1 incident of maternal death in 2016. Conclusion: The conclusion of the results of this study is that there has been an increase in the achievement of K1 and K4, as well as the achievement of integrated antenatal care.

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where blood pressure is permanently above normal. This disease often does not cause symptoms so it is called the silent killer. The prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia at the age of >18 years was 26.5% with the number of patients diagnosed by health workers at 9.4%. About 1% of people with hypertension can experience a crisis hypertension. A holistic approach is needed to determine the risk factors for hypertension. The role of the family is very important in the treatment of hypertension to improve the quality of life. Primary data is obtained through history, physical examination, home visit to assess the condition of the house and family. Results are presented in the form of case reports. In this case, the patient has several risk factors for hypertension. Patients and families have been given education related to hypertension, risk factors, treatment, and recommendations for a healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

Background: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2016 the main causes of deaths of children under five years are pneumonia (14%), diarrhea (14%), other infections (9%), malaria (8%), and noncomunicable diseases ( 4%), hence WHO states that pneumonia is the leading killer of children worldwide and is also called the forgotten killer of children. The incidence of pneumonia has decreased but it is still the highest cause of children under-five years’ mortality.Aim: This study aims to determine the description and trends of pneumonia in infants in the city of Bitung in 2015-2017.Method: This study is a descriptive study using a cross-sectional research design. And using secondary data taken from the health profile book of the City of Bitung in 2015-2017.Results: The results of the study found that pneumonia cases in children under five years in 2015 added up to 58 cases from the target of 1863 cases, for 2016 the number of cases found was 56 cases from the target of 2057 cases, and for 2017 the number of case findings was 50 cases with targets the findings of 2044 pneumonia cases in infants with the coverage of children with pneumonia treated only reached 3.1%, 2.7% and 2.5%.Conclusion: The number of findings and coverage of finding pneumonia in children under five years in Bitung City in 2015-2017 has decreased, and this is still very low, even far from the set target.

Abstract

Abstract: Cumulative number of AIDS cases in the epidemic of AIDS cases in Indonesia is a serious health problem facing the society. This study aimed to find a description of the behaviors of the students of the General Medicine Study Program in the profesion stage and of the Nursing Study Program of Medical Faculty, Sam Ratulangi University against HIV/AIDS. Data were collected using questionnaires. The questionnaires were related to the knowledge, attitudes, and actions of the students against HIV/AIDS. The results showed that most of the students of both study programs had very good knowledge about HIIV/AIDS, good attitudes, and good enough actions against HIV/AIDS. Conclusion: In general, students of the General Medicine Study Program in the profesion stage and of the Nursing Study Program of Medical Faculty, Sam Ratulangi University had good behaviour against HIV/AIDS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mencari gambaran perilaku mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Program Studi Kedokteran Umum tahap profesi dan Program Studi Keperawatan terhadap HIV/AIDS di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sam Ratulangi. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, yang meliputi pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan mahasiswa terhadap HIV/AIDS. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran tahap profesi dan mahasiswa Program Studi Keperawatan sudah mempunyai tingkat pengetahuan yang baik sekali. Dalam hal sikap, sebagian besar mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran tahap profesi dan Program Studi Keperawatan sudah mempunyai sikap yang baik. Dalam hal tindakan, sebagian besar mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran tahap profesi sudah mempunyai tindakan yang cukup sedangkan pada mahasiswa Program Studi Keperawatan mempunyai tindakan yang baik. Simpulan: Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Program Studi Kedokteran Umum tahap profesi dan Program Studi Keperawatan umumnya mempunyai perilaku yang baik terhadap HIV/AIDS. Abstract

Abstract: The disease of teeth and mouth that most suffered by Indonesian society is caries. Caries is disease in hard tissue of teeth that occurred beginning with process of demineralization of dental hard tissue, followed by tooth decay organic matter. The Indonesian population prevalence of caries is 53.2%. School period is most susceptible to dental caries. Children who have a good knowledge in general, has good behavior to maintain their oral health. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship knowledge of dental health maintenance and severity of dental health. This type of research is a descriptive study with cross sectional design. The population of this study is all children in 5th grade of Tumaluntung Primary School in North Minahasa, with total sample 45 students. Data collection is done by filling out questionnaire and examination of dental caries index. The results showed that there was no strong relationship between the level of knowledge of dental health maintenance with severity of dental caries (r=0.372).Keywords: knowledge; dental health maintenance; dental caries severityAbstrak: Penyakit gigi dan mulut yang paling banyak diderita masyarakat Indonesia adalah karies. Karies merupakan suatu penyakit pada jaringan keras gigi yang terjadi diawali dengan proses demineralisasi jaringan keras gigi diikuti dengan kerusakan bahan organik gigi. Di Indonesia prevalensi penduduk yang mengalami karies sebanyak 53,2%. Masa sekolah merupakan waktu yang paling rentan terhadap kemungkinan terjadinya karies. Anak-anak yang memiliki pengetahuan baik pada umumnya memiliki perilaku yang baik untuk mejaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut mereka.Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk melihat hubungan pengetahuan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dengan tingkat keparahan karies gigi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak kelas V SDN Tumaluntung Minahasa Utara, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 45 siswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan pengisian kuesioner dan pemeriksaan indeks karies.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang kuat antara tingkat pengetahuan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dengan tingkat keparahan karies gigi (r=0,372).Kata kunci: pengetahuan; pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi; keparahan karies gigi

Abstract

Abstract: Nutritional status is body condition that affected by food consumption and nutrient substance using. It is distinguished among bad nutrition, less nutrition and good nutrition status and it is measured by body mass index based on age as the one anthropometer index. Objective: The objectives of this research is to know a description of toddler?s nutirional status at PPA ID ? 127 (Chldren Development Center) and CSP CS-07 (Child Survival Programme) in Ranomut Subdistrict, Manado City. The research methodology is  using descriptive analysis with doing survey . The research population is toddler 0 ? 59 month with 80 toddlers as sample and the respondent is the toddler?s mother. Result: Based on anthropometer measurement with body mass indicator based on age, the results are 11 toddlers (13,5 %) with less nutrition status, 69 toddlers (86,5 %) with good nutrition status while toddle with bad nutrition status is nothing. Keywords: Nutrional status,  toddlers. Abstrak: Status Gizi adalah keadaan tubuh sebagai akibat konsumsi makanan dan penggunaan zat-zat gizi. Dibedakan antara status gizi buruk, kurang, dan lebih yang diukur dengan menggunakan salah satu indeks antopometri yaitu indeks berat badan menurut umur (BB/U). Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran status gizi anak balita di PPA ID-127 (Pusat Pengembangan Anak) dan CSP CS-07 (Child Survival Programme) di Kelurahan Ranomut Manado. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan mengadakan survey. Populasi penelitian adalah balita 0-59 bulan dengan sampel sebanyak 80 anak balita, responden dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu dari anak balita yang menjadi sampel penelitian. Hasil: Berdasarkan pengukuran antopometri dengan indikator berat badan menurut umur (BB/U) didapatkan anak balita dengan status gizi kurang sebanyak 11 orang (13,5%), gizi baik sebanyak 69 orang (86,5%) sedangkan gizi buruk tidak ada. Kata kunci: Status gizi, anak balita.

Abstract

Abstract: AIDS is a collection of symptoms and infections that arise due to the disturbance of the body defence system. There were 24,482 AIDS cases recorded up to the end of March 2011 in 33 provinces in Indonesia. Data from the North Sulawesi Health Department showed that from 1997 until the end of 2010 the distribution of HIV/AIDS continued to increase. This study aimed to find out the understanding about HIV/AIDS in teenagers at the Children’s Development Center ID-127 in Ranomut District, Manado. This was a descriptive study conducted by using a survey method. There were 65 samples of teenagers. The results showed that the teenagers’ understanding about HIV/AIDS was still poor. Their answers about the cause of HIV/AIDS were 27.7% correct; about  the media of infection, 23% correct; about the signs and symptoms, 15.3% correct; about the prevention of HIV/AIDS, 75.3% correct; about the stigma of HIV/AIDS, 63% correct; about using the same utensils, 33.9% correct; and about living in the same house, 49.1% correct. Conclusion: Among the teenagers at the Children’s Development Center ID-127 in Ranomut District, Manado there was poor knowledge about the causes of HIV/AIDS, media of infection, and signs and symptoms; there was good knowledge about prevention of HIV/AIDS; as well as good knowledge about the stigma of HIV/AIDS; but poor knowledge about using the same utensils and living in the same house with HIV/AIDS patients. Keywords: knowledge, teenagers, children development center, HIV/AIDS.   Abstrak: AIDS adalah sekumpulan gejala dan infeksi (sindrom) yang timbul karena terganggunya sistem kekebalan tubuh manusia. Hingga akhir Maret 2011 tercatat 24.482 kasus di 33 provinsi di Indonesia. Data Dinas Kesehatan Sulawesi Utara (Dinkes Sulut) sejak tahun 1997 sampai akhir 2010 memperlihatkan distribusi penderita HIV/AIDS terus mengalami peningkatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan mengenai HIV/AIDS dari remaja di Pusat Pengembangan Anak ID-127 kelurahan Ranomut Manado. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dan dilakukan melalui survei. Jumlah sampel yang diperoleh ialah 65 remaja. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa pemahaman tentang HIV/AIDS dari para remaja masih kurang. Pengetahuan remaja tentang penyebab HIV/AIDS yang benar 27,7%; tentang media penularan HIV/AIDS yang benar 23%; tentang gejala-gejala HIV/AIDS yang benar 15,3%; dan tentang pencegahan HIV/AIDS yang benar 75,3%. Simpulan: Pada remaja di PPA ID-127 Kelurahan Ranomut Manado, pengetahuan tentang AIDS: masih kurang, mengenai penyebab HIV/AIDS, media penularan, dan gejala-gejala; baik, mengenai pencegahan HIV/AIDS; baik, mengenai stigma HIV/AIDS, dalam hal ini yaitu berjabat tangan dengan pengidap tidak dapat tertular; dan kurang, mengenai tidak dapat tertular bila memakai peralatan yang sama dengan pengidap dan tinggal serumah dengan pengidap. Abstract

Aims: To obtain a study of the suitability of the mental health care programs in primary health care in Bolaang Mongondow Regency according to existing instruments and regulations. Methods: The design used in this study is cross-sectional to measure the suitability of the mental health care programs in primary health care with the Domain 3 of World Health Organization-Assessment Instrument for Mental Health Systems (WHO-AIMS) 2.2 about Mental Health in Primary Health Care. The sample of this study are primary health cares in Poigar, Inobonto, Lolak, Mopuya, Doloduo, and Imandi which met the inclusion and not the exclusion criteria. Results: Physician-based primary health care are good in the aspects of new graduate training, assessment, protocol handling, referrals to expert doctors, interactions with mental health services, and prescribing medicines. Non-doctor primary mental health services is already good on the training aspects of new nurses’ graduates. Retraining for new health workers was followed by Poigar, Inobonto, and Imandi primary health care. Medicines for mental disorders are available at the Doloduo primary health care on their own initiative. Mental health counseling has not been carried out optimally by all observed primary health care. Conclusion: Primary health care’s mental health care programs in Bolaang Mongondow Regency has been endeavored to comply with existing instruments and regulations, in which at the time of this research, it was still not optimally implemented. Suggestions for all elements include the compilation of a clear breakdown of program costs, provision of drugs, training in early detection and management of mental disorders that are carried out on their own, as well as counseling that is carried out consistently.Keywords: mental healthcare programs, primary healthcare, Bolaang Mongondow Regency

Abstract

Mental health is defined as a state of well-being where an individual realizes his own potential, can cope with the stress of life, work productively, and is able to actively contribute to society. Minahasa Regency ranks 8th out of 15 districts in the Province of North Sulawesi on the reported number of cases of mental health issues. This study aims to provide an overview of the mental health programs in primary healthcare centers in Minahasa Regency. The research design used is a cross-sectional descriptive approach. This study is conducted on three primary healthcare facilities operating in the area of Minahasa Regency during November 2019. The study shows that the mental health program running in Minahasa Regency is still not optimal. Abstract

Abstract: Riskesdas (Basic Health Research) 2013 showed that the prevalence of diabetes mellitus (DM) in Indonesia was 6.9% for those above 15 years and in North Sulawesi in 2013 was 2.4%. Posbindu is a public health service post for elderly in a certain region driven by the community. At Posbindu, the elderly can get integrated health services as well as activities involving health promotion and well-being arranged by the community and social organization. Posbindu cadres are trained community workers set up in a communication forum technology transfered and public health guidance services by and for the people that has a strategic value in developing human resources as early as possible. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the knowledge of Posbindu cadres about DM and related diseases. This study was aimed to obtain the cadres’ knowledge about DM. This was a qualitative study using informants. The results showed that the informants’ knowledge about DM was very good, however, there were several things that should be improved. Conclusion: The informants had already known the important things that must be considered in the community, especially related to DM.Keywords: knowledge, Posbindu cadre, diabetes mellitus. Abstrak: Riset Kesehatan Dasar (2013) menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi DM di Indonesia untuk usia di atas 15 tahun sebesar 6,9% dan di Sulawesi Utara sebesar 2,4%. Pos Pembinaan Terpadu (Posbindu) merupakan pos pelayanan kesehatan untuk masyarakat usia lanjut di suatu wilayah tertentu yang sudah disepakati, yang digerakkan oleh masyarakat. Di Posbindu masyarakat usia lanjut bisa mendapatkan pelayanan kesehatan. Disamping itu, terdapat kegiatan peningkatan kesehatan serta kesejahteraan yang melibatkan peran masyarakat dan organisasi sosial. Kader Posbindu ialah tenaga masyarakat yang telah dilatih, dan dibentuk dalam suatu forum komunikasi alih tehnologi dan pelayanan bimbingan kesehatan masyarakat oleh dan untuk masyarakat yang mempunyai nilai strategis dalam mengembangkan sumber daya manusia sejak dini. Oloeh karena itu, peningkatan pengetahuan kader Posbindu mengenai DM dan hal-hal yang berkaitan perlu dilakukan secara berkesinambungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan kader Posbindu mengenai penyakit diabetes melitus (DM)..Jenis penelitian ialah kualitatif menggunakan informan. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan bahwa pengetahuan informan sudah baik walaupun masih terdapat hal-hal yang harus lebih ditingkatkan tentang penyakit DM. Simpulan: Para informan sudah mengetahui hal-hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam masyarakat terutama yang berhubungan dengan penyakit DM.Kata kunci: pengetahuan, kader posbindu, diabetes melitus
