Abstract

In modern education, fostering effective learning strategies is essential to improve educational outcomes. This study explores the integration of Meaningful Learning, Mindful Learning, and Joyful Learning within the Deep Learning approach, aiming to enhance student engagement and comprehension. Meaningful Learning connects new knowledge with prior understanding, Mindful Learning emphasizes full attention and reflection, and Joyful Learning creates an enjoyable and motivating environment. Using a library research method, this study analyzed data from journal articles, books, and prior studies published between 2000 and 2024 to examine how these approaches support Deep Learning implementation. Results indicate that Meaningful Learning facilitates critical thinking and problem-solving skills through project-based and gamified educational methods. Mindful Learning enhances cognitive abilities, focus, and academic performance using techniques such as mindfulness training and AI-assisted personalization. Joyful Learning fosters emotional engagement and retention through arts integration, game-based activities, and scaffolded learning. Together, these approaches improve conceptual understanding, creativity, and motivation. The study concludes that integrating these three approaches within Deep Learning provides a holistic framework for enhancing educational quality. Future research should investigate the application of this framework across diverse educational settings, including technology-driven and distance learning environments, to maximize its effectiveness.

Abstract

Mathematics is often perceived as a challenging and intimidating subject, especially at the junior high school level. This study aims to examine the impact of mathematical games on improving students' perceptions of mathematics. A pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest was utilized, involving 121 junior high school students aged 13–14 years. Students' perceptions were measured using a validated questionnaire before and after the intervention, and the data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test. Results revealed a significant increase in students' perceptions, as indicated by a p-value of 0.00116593×10−33, which p-value is smaller than the threshold of 0.05. The findings confirm that mathematical games effectively shift students' perceptions of mathematics from negative to positive. This research underscores the importance of innovative teaching methods, such as game-based learning, in creating engaging and supportive learning environments that foster positive attitudes toward mathematics.

Abstract

Reflection has a vital contribution to improving teachers’ teaching performance as well as their professional growth. Therefore, this research investigates how prospective teachers apply reflection activities in teaching and learning and the impacts of the implementation of an independent curriculum during teaching practice program activities. Using qualitative research, the researchers employed a group interview consisting of two participants in each group. The participants were six prospective teachers who accomplished the teaching practice program. Three types of reflections were employed, i.e., reflection-before-lesson, reflection-during-lesson, and reflection-after-lesson. The results indicate that teachers’ reflective practice leads to improvement in their teaching process and builds engagement with the students. The insights of the research results are further discussed.

Abstract

Sastra lokal belum tersosialisasikan dengan baik di kalangan generasi muda khususnya anak-anak, sehingga diperlukan upaya untuk menumbuhkan sekaligus memberikan penguatan kepada anak-anak tentang pentingnya literasi sastra lokal dan mengaplikasikan nilai multikultural dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskrpsikan bentuk nilai multikultural dalam sastra lokal. Teori yang digunakan di dalam menganalisis nilai multikultural yang terdapat di dalam sastra lokal yaitu teori Bennet. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Adapun teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan simpulan. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi teori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai multikultural yang ditemukan di dalam sastra lokal adalah nilai apresiasi terhadap kenyataan pluralitas budaya dalam masyarakat, pengakuan harkat dan hak asasi manusia, pengembangan tanggungjawab manusia terhadap masyarakat dunia, dan pengembangan tangungjawab manusia terhadap planet bumi. Temuan penelitian dapat digunakan sebagai referensi bagi anak-anak dalam hidup yang harmonis. Wujud nyatanya dapat hidup berdampingan dengan damai di tengah perbedaan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model problem based learning (PBL) berbantu media kartu soal untuk mendukung kemampuan literasi matematika siswa dilihat dari aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, dan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa. Populasi dari penelitian ini siswa kelas VIII MTs. Miftahul Ulum Gondang. Penelitian ini menggunakan Simple Random Sampling yakni kelas VIII-A yang terdiri dari 24 siswa. Penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain one shoot case study. Kriteria keberhasilan yang digunakan adalah pembelajaran dikatakan efektif jika ketiga aspek tersebut terpenuhi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru mendapatkan presentase 94% sehingga termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik aktivitas siswa mendapatkan presentase 83% sehingga termasuk dalam kategori baik dan hasil tes kemampuan literasi matematika diketahui bahwa siswa memperoleh kriteria kemampuan literasi matematika baik sebanyak 21 siswa, adapun presentase secara klasikal yakni 87%. Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning (PBL), Media, Kartu Soal, Literasi Matematika   Abstract : This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the problem based learning (PBL) model assisted by question card media to support students' mathematical literacy skills from teacher activities, student activities, and students' mathematical literacy skills. The population of this study is grade VIII students of MTs. Miftahul Ulum Gondang. This study uses Simple Random Sampling, namely class VIII-A consisting of 24 students. The research used used descriptive quantitative with a design one shoot case study. The success criterion used is that learning is said to be effective if these three aspects are met. The results of the study showed that teacher activities received a percentage of 94% so that they were included in the very good category, student activities received a percentage of 83% so that they were included in the good category and the results of the mathematical literacy ability test were known that students obtained the criteria for good mathematical literacy skills as many as 21 students The classical percentage is 87%. Keywords: Problem Based Learning (PBL), Media, Question Cards, Mathematical Literacy

Abstract

To equip prospective mathematics teacher students in solving problems faced both in class and outside the classroom, one of the abilities that need to be improved is critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skill is a high-order thinking skill (HOTS) that is important for students to master because it can place students in charge of reasonable situations or integrate new ideas with previous knowledge. This study aims to describe whether project-based learning (PjBL) in statistics material can improve the critical thinking skills of prospective mathematics teacher students. This research is a class action research with ten students from the class of 2021 as research subjects. The stages in this research are in the form of spiral cycles which include activities (1)planning, (2)implementing actions, (3)observation, and (4)reflection. The research instrument used was a critical thinking skill test and observation sheets for lecturer and student activities. The results of the study show that (1) the use of the PjBL learning model can improve the critical thinking skills of prospective mathematics teacher students class of 2021, as evidenced by the results of the critical thinking test with an increase in the percentage of students who scored a minimum of 76 (B) in the first cycle by 50% to 90 % in the second cycle and (2) the use of the PjBL learning model can increase student learning activity, indicated by an increase in the percentage of student activity from the first cycle of 78% to 85% in the second cycle.

Abstract

Abstract : Working memory capacity (WMC) is important for many cognitive processes including problem solving. This research compiles relevant literature about working memory capacity and problem solving, and discusses how working memory capacity can help or hinder people when trying to solve problems, especially mathematical problems. Working memory capacity plays a role in  maintaining and retrieval of information in long-term memory (LTM), but under certain conditions, this can have an effect on the success of problem solving. Working memory capacity can support more effective problem solving by activating the retrieval and use of information that is relevant to the domain. On math problems about simple arithmetic for example, problem solvers with high working memory capacity can show differences from problem solvers with low working memory capacity. The source of this difference indicates superiority in coding or mathematical fact-taking or knowledge structures in LTM, the ability to deal with interference from relevant and irrelevant information, the ability to focus on problems, and the ability to produce or manipulate representations of mental problems. Keywords: Working memory capacity, problem solving, mathematical problems

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru SMP dalam memahami konsep pembelajaran mendalam (deep learning), mengembangkan konten digital interaktif berbasis cloud, serta mengimplementasikannya dalam pembelajaran. Pelatihan yang dilaksanakan di SMPN 2 Mojosari ini melibatkan 36 guru dan menggunakan model IN–ON–IN, yang mencakup penguatan konsep pembelajaran mendalam berbasis digital, produksi video pembelajaran, pengembangan konten digital interaktif, integrasi Learning Management System (LMS), serta praktik kelas dengan pendampingan berkelanjutan. Evaluasi menggunakan pretest–posttest dan angket respon guru. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan, dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 57,61 menjadi 85,61 atau sebesar 28 poin, sehingga seluruh guru berpindah dari kategori “Cukup” ke “Baik” dan “Sangat Baik”. Respon guru terhadap pelatihan juga sangat positif dengan rata-rata skor 4,73, terutama pada aspek kemanfaatan pelatihan dan relevansi materi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan pembelajaran mendalam berbasis digital dan penyusunan konten digital interaktif efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis dan digital guru, sekaligus mendukung implementasi pembelajaran berorientasi deep learning. Program ini berpotensi direplikasi dan dikembangkan lebih lanjut sebagai strategi keberlanjutan penguatan kompetensi guru di era digital. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas petani dan ibu PKK dalam mengelola keuangan rumah tangga dan usaha melalui pelatihan Smart Budgeting. Permasalahan utama mitra adalah rendahnya kemampuan menyusun anggaran, pencatatan keuangan, serta perencanaan biaya produksi dan kebutuhan rumah tangga. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui metode penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan praktik demonstratif. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan angket yang diberikan kepada kelompok Ibu PKK (11 responden) dan kelompok Petani (14 responden). Hasil angket menunjukkan peningkatan skor pemahaman dan keterampilan pada seluruh indikator. Kelompok Ibu PKK memperoleh skor total rata-rata 15,18, sedangkan kelompok Petani memperoleh rata-rata 15,93, yang menunjukkan kategori baik. Pelatihan berhasil meningkatkan literasi finansial dasar, kemampuan menyusun anggaran, dan kesadaran pencatatan keuangan sebagai dasar pengambilan keputusan ekonomi rumah tangga dan usaha tani. Program ini penting dilanjutkan melalui pendampingan lanjutan agar keterampilan budgeting dapat diterapkan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Motivasi belajar adalah dorongan dalam diri seseorang yang membuatnya berusaha memahami pelajaran, menyelesaikan tugas, serta mencapai prestasi akademik yang lebih baik, tetapi realitanya yang terjadi saat ini banyak siswa yang menunjukkan motivasi belajar yang rendah pada pembelajaran matematika materi peluang yang dianggap siswa sulit disebabkan karena metode pembelajaran yang menoton. Untuk mendukung motivasi belajar siswa penelitian ini menggunakan model Game Based Learning dengan permaianan engklek pada siswa kelas X-6 SMAN 1 Bangsal pada semester genap tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025. Metode penelitian penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain One Shot Case Study pada pengumpulan data menggunakan hasil observasi dan hasil angket motivasi belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru memperoleh persentase 94,25% dengan kategori sangat baik, aktivitas siswa memperoleh 86,5% dengan kategori sangat baik, serta hasil angket motivasi menunjukkan 5,8% siswa berada pada kategori motivasi tinggi, 86,5% pada kategori sedang, dan 11,4% pada kategori rendah. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan Game Based Learning dengan permainan engklek mendukung motivasi belajar siswa.
