Abstract

Abstract

This activity aims to improve the professional competence of elementary school teachers in implementing Classroom Action Research (CAR) as an effort to strengthen teachers' reflective and innovative capacity in the learning process. The training was conducted at SD Negeri 147 Pekanbaru, involving 60 teachers from various elementary schools in Pekanbaru City. The activity implementation method used a participatory approach through several stages, namely initial observation, focus group discussion (FGD), training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed that the CAR training had a significant impact on improving teachers' understanding, motivation, and skills in preparing proposals and implementing CAR. Teachers gained direct experience in designing, implementing, and reporting research results relevant to learning problems in the classroom. This activity also fostered a collaborative culture among teachers and strengthened reflective abilities in continuously improving learning practices. Thus, CAR training and mentoring activities have proven effective as a strategy for developing teacher professionalism in realizing quality learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the high tendency of aggressive behavior among students and their peers, especially among students at the junior high school level. This study aims to determine the effect of group guidance services using the Indonesian folklore psychodrama technique to reduce students' aggressive behavior as an effort to facilitate students to express their reactions to their pressure without using aggressive behavior. This research is a quantitative research with the One Group Pretest-Posttest experimental method. The implementation of this research was carried out at MTsN 1 Pekanbaru with a sample of 12 people from a total population of 440 seventh grade students. The results of the data obtained in this study were then calculated using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and tested for their influence using the Wilcoxon test formula and the N-Gain test. The result of the Gain Score calculation is 0.68 which can be interpreted that the magnitude of the influence of group guidance services using the Indonesian folklore psychodrama technique on students' aggressive behavior is in the moderate category. Based on this, it can be said that group guidance services using the Indonesian folklore psychodrama technique have an effect in reducing students' aggressive behavior.

Abstract

Academic procrastination is a learning behavior problem that affects students' discipline, task completion, and learning engagement. This study aims to understand the process of behavioral change in a student experiencing academic procrastination through individual counseling with a behavioral approach using self-management techniques. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design on one vocational high school student selected purposively for exhibiting characteristics of academic procrastination. Data were collected through behavioral observation, interviews with the student, the school counselor, and the homeroom teacher, as well as documentation of behavioral development, and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data trustworthiness was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results show concrete behavioral changes after the intervention, namely improved attendance discipline, reduced smartphone use during lessons, increased ability to complete assignments independently, greater learning participation, and stronger self-control. Behavioral counseling through self-management techniques helped the student recognize maladaptive behaviors, set behavioral targets, conduct self-monitoring, and build more adaptive learning habits.
