Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of merchandise, prices and service to the department store purchasing decisions in Pasaraya Sri Ratu Pemuda department store Semarang. The population on this research are all consumers who have ever made purchase on Pasaraya Sri Ratu Department Store Semarang. The samples are 100 responden. The sampling method using purposive sampling, data collection techniques using literature review, interviews and observation. Questionnaire test using validity and reliability test, while the hypothesis test using the t-test, F-test and the coefficient of determination. This research shows that there is a positive effect of the merchandise with the purchase decision of 0.360 (36%), prices on purchase decisions of 0.232 (23.2%), services with purchasing decisions of 0.457 (45.7%), and and taken together the variables of merchandise, prices and service influence on purchase decisions of 0,509 (50,9%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekuitas merek dan promosi terhadap keputusan pembelian produk Coca-Cola. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua pelajar SMA N 5 Purwokerto yang terletak di Jl. Gereja No. 20, Purwokerto. Dengan menggunakan teori Donald R Cooper dan C. William Emory, diambil 100 responden untuk dijadikan sampel dan teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah dengan accidental sampling. Skala pengukurannya menggunakan skala Likert. Pada analisis data menggunakan ujji regresi linear sederhana dan uji regresi berganda dengan program aplikasi SPSS 16.0.Dari hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa kategori ekuitas merek sebesar 62 persen menyatakan cukup. Kategori promosi diketahui sebesar 53 persen menyatakan cukup menarik. Variabel ekuitas merek berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian sebesar 46,6 persen. Variabel promosi berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian sebesar 44,6persen. Variabel ekuitas merek dan promosi berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian sebesar 51,2 persen. Hal ini berarti semakin baik ekuitas merek dan promosi diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keputusan pembelian konsumen.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pihak Coca-Cola menambahkan frekuensi penayangan slogan Coca-Cola, memberikan edukasi pada konsumen tentang minuman bersoda, menambahkan frekuensi promosi, dan menetapkan harga yang lebih murah.

Abstract

Business competition in both the domestic and international markets has turned into hyper competition. Companies who want to develop or are least able to survive must be able to provide customers with goods or services of higher value, quality, availability and better services. The point is to maintain sustainable marketing performance (sustainable marketing). The growth of local products is now growing, including clothing, shoes, bags and much more. There are several well-known Indonesian original brands that are still often considered to be imported. One of them is The Executive brand which is the object of research. This study aims to determine the effect of promotion and price on purchasing decisions for The Executive products. This type of research is explanatory research with nonprobability sampling techniques with purposive sampling and accidental sampling methods. Methods of data collection used questionnaires and interviews with a sample of 100 visitors to The Executive Mall Paragon Semarang. Data processing is performed with the help of SPSS ver 18. Testing includes validity, reliability, correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, simple regression, multiple regression, the significance of the T test and F test. The results indicate a significant positive effect of promotion and price on the product purchase decision Executive Promotion and price together have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for The Executive products.

Abstract

Mascara is a cosmetic product needed by women to perfect their appearance. As a brand that is quite prominent in Indonesia and dominates the market, Wardah and Maybelline compete to create products in accordance with consumer expectations. However, Wardah has not been able to surpass Maybelline for mascara products. As for products other than mascara, Wardah tends to dominate the market. This study aims to determine the effect of product quality and prices on purchasing decisions of Wardah and Maybelline mascara. This type of research is explanatory research and sampling uses nonprobability sampling techniques, purposive sampling method. Data collection using questionnaires and google form. The sample used was 200 respondents using Wardah and Maybelline mascara in the city of Semarang. This study uses quantitative and qualitative analysis with validity, reliability, correlation coefficients, coefficient of determination, simple and multiple regression, significance of t test and F test, normality test and Mann Whitney test. The results of the study show that the variables of product quality and price have an effect on purchasing decisions. The variable correlation coefficient of product quality and price for Wardah mascara has a strong relationship, Maybelline mascara has a moderate relationship. The determination coefficient of product quality variable on Wardah mascara purchasing decision variable is 39.1%, Maybelline mascara is 25.6%. The determination coefficient of the price variable on the variable purchase decision of Wardah mascara was 42.6%, Maybelline's mascara was 27.2%.

Abstract

Customers buying behavior of a product is influenced by many factors. Every individual has the desire and taste different. Product quality is a factor that is very influential on purchase decisions, other than that there are many more factors that influence the buying behavior. This study aims to how much influence product quality, price, and promotion of their product purchasing decisions Yamaha Mio motorcycle and know the variables that have a dominant influence on purchase decisions Yamaha Mio motorcycle products to the public in the area of Semarang.Type is the type of research that used explanatory research. Samples were taken at 98 respondents that consumers who use Yamaha Mio motorcycle and make purchases at Harpindo Jaya branch of Majapahit. Determination of the sample with accidental sampling technique. Mechanical analysis of the data using linear regression analysis. Based on these results it can be concluded that: (a) there is a positive and significant effect on the variable quality of the product, (b) there is a positive and significant effect on the price variables, (c) there is a positive and significant impact on the promotion of the purchase decision variables Yamaha Mio. And who has the greatest influence is variable product quality. Hypothesis testing shows that the influence of product quality, price, and promotion of their purchasing decisions Yamaha Mio. The coefficient of determination for the variable quality of the product (X1), price (X2), and Promotion (X3) is 85.4% to the buying decision, while 14.6% Harpindo Jaya influenced other factors.PT. Harpindo Jaya should further enhance the promotion through electronic media and print media so that consumers always remember the product being offered. Prices were terjagkau and still maintain the quality must be maintained in order to remain in the interest of consumers.

Abstract

Operational objective of the company is achieving maximum profitability levels. Profitability is the ability of management companies to produce or obtain the profit effectively and efficiently. Fluktuations in profitabilitu experienced food and beverages company, and iconsistencies in the results of previous research encourage researcher to conduct this researchThe ratio that used for the profitability is ROI because it can identify the ability of management companies in managing the assets under their control to generate the income. In the dupont system profitabilitu is affected by asset turn over and profit margin.This study is aimed to identify the influence of receivables turnover and inventory turn over against the profitability of food and beverages company and which variable that had predominant influence of profitability.The population in this research are all food and beverages company of what listed at Indonesia stock exchange in the year 2010-2012. Samples was taken by purposive sampling methode with the result that selected 14 companies as a apotheosis. The type of this study was explanatory research-the variables was counted by utilizing regression analysis methode with SPSS software aids.The study inhibited the account recievable had an influence against company’s profitability, because tcencus (3.392) > ttable (2.028), whereas inventory variable had not influence toward profitablity. it could be sought in coefficient correlation test in which obtained tcencus (-1.174) > ttable (2.028). 0.213 was resulted as determination coefficient (R2), which meant the capability of recievable turnover variable for variation variable ROI explanation was 21.3%, meanwhile the balance 78.7% was adduced by other variables, which was not included within the research. In the future to attention of averages account receivable and increase sales.

Abstract

Management information system and work environment are the keys to achieve employee performance. PT. PLN (Persero) Distribution Jakarta Raya and Tangerang is a company which known as supplier and electric distributor which always try to give the best service for customer. Therefore it needs human resource which have a good performance. To raise employee performance, the company should increase management information system and work environment.This type of research is using explanatory research with 72 employees at PT. PLN (Persero) Distribution Jakarta Raya and Tangerang on Human Resource Department and Finance Department as population, and altogether become the sample of this research by using census sampling. This data is collected by questionnaire, and the measurement scale is Likert. Corelation, simple linear regression and multiple linear regression is used for the analysis with SPSS Program 18.0.The results show that management information system and work environment have partial and simultaneous effect to employee performance. Management information system variable has greater effect than work environment.The suggestions to PT. PLN (Persero) Distribution Jakarta Raya and Tangerang are more often to hold coaching for entire employees in order to make management information system can be used maximally and to reduce mistakes within task completion, provide more medicines to anticipate work accident and hopefully manager could listen and take advice from employees.

Abstract

Every company needed human resources management to achieve success. Human resource management played an active role in improving performance of the employeethrough a number of variables that affect it, such as leadership, motivation, and workingdiscipline. Perum Perumnas Regional V Semarang was a public company engaged in the saleand development of national housing, but in fact there were still problem that cause adecrease in performance of the employee. So, the purpose in this study to identify and explainthe effect of leadership, motivation, and working discipline at Perum Perumnas RegionalOffice V Semarang.This type of research was explanatory. Data collection technique with interviews andquestionnaires against 62 respondents with saturated sampling technique. The analysistechnique used is quantitative and descriptive analysis using validity, reliability test, crosstabulation, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple and multipleregression analysis, as well as the significance test (t test and F test) with SPSS version 16.0for windows.The results and discussion, based on the categorization of leadership in company wasquite good, the work of each employee motivation was high, discipline of employee was highcategorization, and the performance of the employee at the company was quite well.Partially, leadership had positive and significant effect on performance of the employee, therelationship between the two variables was average with a correlation of (0.542), thecoefficient of determination of (28.2%), motivation had positive and significant effect on theperformance of regression coefficient, the relation between the two variables was high with acorrelation of ( 0.762), the coefficient of determination of (57.3%), working discipline hadpositive and significant effect on the performance of the regression coefficient, the relationbetween the two variables was high with a correlation of (0.760), the coefficient ofdetermination of (57%). Simultaneously leadership, motivation and working discipline hadpositive and significant effect on the performance of the regression coefficient Y = 1,877+0,124X1 + 0,410X2 + 0,372X3, the relationship of independent variables (X) and dependent(Y) was very strong with a correlation of (0.863), the coefficient of determination of (68.3%).The conclusion there was positive and significant influence between leadership,motivation, and working discipline on performance of the employee. The suggestion was thecompany need to pay attention to communication between leaders and employees in how toapproach, provide guidance and error correcting any work performed by employees, as wellas effort to improve employee work motivation by giving rewards and give a sanction againstemployees who violate the discipline of time (delay) firmly.

Abstract

The research based on the fact of growing number various alternative transportation services, especially ground transportation. Although bus is still a prima donna for the majority of Indonesian people as an option.The purpose of this research was to find out the influence of brand image andservice quality for user of PO. Bejeu. The population was costumer PO. Bejeu of Semarang-Jakarta. Sample in this research was 100 respondents, which obtained using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis in this study using SPSS 18.0 for windows, which previously tested the validity, reliability, determination coefficient, correlation coefficient, simple linear regression and multiple linear regression (t-test and F-test) in advance.The results of this research show that brand image and service quality partially or simultaneously affect decisions to use. Quality of Service provide greater influence for decisions on the use than Brand Image. Suggestions can be submitted is brand image of PO. Bejeu needs to be improved again, so that the image of PO. Bejeu as transportation company can be maintained. For example by improvingconvenience of PO. bejeu. In addition, service quality also needs to be improved. Company need to discipline and improve the performance of their employees in order to be more responsive to customers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) and perceived risk to the purchasing decision at Tokopedia. This type of research is explanatory research. Sampling technique using nonprobability with purposive technique. The number of samples taken as many as 100 respondents, which are the consumer of Tokopedia. In this study assisted by IBM SPSS 21.0 system. The results showed that electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) influences the purchasing decision by contributing 24.4% while the rest is influenced by factors other than e-WOM. Perceived risk influences the purchasing decision by contributing 26.8% while the rest is influenced by factors other than perceived risk. Meanwhile, simultaneously electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) and perceived risk influence to purchasing decision by donating 33.3% while the rest influenced by factors other than electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) and perceived risk. Based on the calculation of Test F shows that there is a significant influence between electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) and perceived risk to the purchasing decision. This means the better electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) and perceived risk, the higher the purchasing decision at Tokopedia. Suggestions in this research is Tokopedia must encourage its consumers to write a more complete and clear review by providing reward points and also for Tokopedia to improve its services and provide education about the transaction mechanism so that consumers have a good risk perception towards Tokopedia.
