Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of strap purchase between company system and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. A strap is used to bond a cargo. Each strap has different qualification that depends on the purpose and types of cargo. The problems that happened in ground handling company are strap availability, incompatibility procedure, irregularity strap used, and employees understanding in using strap that they mighthinder airline services. It makes cargo flit hampered and it reduces the strap lifetime since it is damaged due to the ineffective cargo.It happened because the amount of goods loaded into the plane is not appropriate to the kinds of strap used. This study investigated strap procurement in PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta. The method of this study was Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) by comparing the prevailing system. The result shows that the number of economical straps is 208 units each month with the amount of safety stock is 7 units, reorder point id 47 units, and the average of maximum inventory is 215 units each month. The total different of strap provision between company system and EOQ system is Rp. 2674938 (68.12%).

Abstract

Prohibited items merupakan barang yang dilarang ataupun barang yang dapat dibawa tetapi dalam kuantitas tertentu oleh para penumpang dan crew pesawat terbang. Meskipun sosialisasi telah dilakukan pada setiap Bandar Udara melalui poster yang ditampilkan baik pada layar informasi dan meja check in counter, namun tetap saja ditemukan masih banyak penumpang yang harus meninggalkan barang-barang miliknya. Hasil wawancara kepada guru pengampu pada program studi Usaha Perjalanan Wisata SMKN 1 Tambun Selatan, diketahui bahwa belum ada materi dalam mata pelajaran yang terkait dengan penerbangan yang membahas tentang prohibited items yang sebenarnya penting diketahui dan dipahami untuk dapat mengedukasi calon penumpang pesawat udara sehingga diharapkan meniadakan konflik atau kesalahpahaman tentang prohibited items dan perjalanan penumpang menjadi aman dan nyaman. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan secara tatap muka dengan metode edukasi dan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman para siswa tentang tentang prohibited items. Hasil pre test dan post test menunjukan terjadinya peningkatan rata-rata pemahaman akhir peserta sebesar 64.49% untuk rata-rata pertanyaan yang ditanyakan sebelumnya. Disamping itu secara kesuruhan peserta edukasi sangat puas dan sangat berminat mengikuti kegiatan edukasi prohibited items yang telah terselenggara dengan baik.

Abstract

Latar belakang dilakukannya sosialisasi ini karena kurangnya pengetahuan personel yang bekerja di industri transportasi dan logistik di area Jakarta, Bogor, Depok dan Bekasi (JABODETABEK) terkait penanganan barang berbahaya. Hal ini sesuai dengan pengamatan dari tim pengabdi sehingga perlu dilakukan pembinaan tentang penanganan barang berbahaya pada multi moda transportasi. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah melakukan pencegahan bencana berupa kerusakan lingkungan dan properti pada multi moda transportasi melalui penanganan barang berbahaya sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 24 Juni 2021 ditujukan kepada mitra pengabdian yaitu pelaku moda transportasi sekaligus calon pembaca majalah report. Dialog dan diskusi melalui media daring merupakan metode yang dipilih dalam kegiatan sosialisasi ini. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menghasilkan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat transportasi tentang pencegahan bencana melalui penanganan barang berbahaya yang sesuai dengan aturan berlaku sebesar 18,1% yaitu rata-rata pengetahuan pretest sebesar 59,41% dan posttest sebesar 77,5% terhadap 24 peserta yang berasal dari industri, lembaga pendidikan, dan umum

Abstract

The background of this training comes from the necessity to provide Aviation students in the transportation and logistics field with knowledge concerning Basic Cargo in the aviation industry. The purpose of this Community empowerment service is to enrich the students' knowledge, preparing them for future employment in the airline industry, and certifying them with Basic Cargo knowledge in compliance with applicable regulations. This service activity was conducted from June 12 to 14, 2022, for SMK Aviation Branti Lampung and SMKN 4 Depok. The method used for implementing this service involved conducting training through relaxed but focused conversations using online media, specifically Zoom, with the students. The results of this service indicated that the students' understanding improved from 44% to 90%, as shown in the pre and post-tests conducted among 30 participants from SMK Lampung and Depok. The understanding level increased by an average of 46%.

Abstract

PT. Railway Logistics (KALOG) as a partner in this PKM is a company engaged in the field of rail-based freight transportation with business fields in the form of logistics distribution, container terminal management, loading and unloading, warehousing, packing, labeling, transportation, tracking, logistics escort and logistics management. The problem of partner priority is the lack of human resources who understand specifically about the application of Kaizen principles and the handling of dangerous goods, especially for the delivery of goods by train. The purpose of this activity is; Provide basic knowledge of kaizen principles, handling dangerous goods and the formation of a profitability mindset for employees. The event was held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Office of PT. KALOG, Railway Warehousing Complex, Kp Bandan Rt. 2/4, Jakarta 14430. Methods of Activities with training, Q&A and video playback. The stages of the activity are: a. Stage of Proposal Making, b. Survey Stage: Review of the location of devotion to PT. KALOG and conducted an interview with the Chairman of PT. Local KALOG, c. The stage of identification of partner problems and identification of equipment needs for socialization, d. Stages of Implementation of activities and the final stage, namely the creation of reports and articles of PKM journals. The result of this activity is the increasing knowledge and understanding of participants about the importance of applying the principles of Kaizen and Dangerous Goods in creating profitability and safety and security of freight by train. Participants of the activity are 26 people consisting of leaders, employees and stake holders from PT. KALOG numbered plus 4 Lecturers and 5 ITL students The survey results showed that socialization was effective because it was able to increase the knowledge and understanding of participants in the principles of Kaizen and Dangerous Goods in handling goods, especially by train

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to provide socialization of problem solving of claiming medical logistics (Vaccine) handling to companies that handle medical logistics (vaccines) where most of the vaccines are included in the S  oekarno Hatta ground handling warehousing, so that they can have human resources who understand and understand about handling medical logistics (vaccine) damage claims in accordance with the Regulations  handling of international Air Transport Association (IATA) claims regarding Temperature Control Regulation and also The Air Cargo Tariff, so as to improve services to customers and assist government programs in overcoming the Covid 19 Pandemic. The activity was held on March 2, 2022 in Tangerang.  Themethod used is socialization through online and offline with materialmapping, question and answer and video playback. Participants 13 people consisting of employees of various companies that handle medical logistics (vaccines) at Soekarno Hatta Airport, based on the results  of the pre-survey and post survey given to participants, it shows an increase in participants' understanding and knowledge by 62.4% related to procedures for handling damage claims  medical logistics (vaccines) and a  good response  of 61.54% from the participants that this socialization is useful and can be directly applied to their work and meet the target of achieving the PKM plan. This activity has been published through the Youtube channel so that it can be seen and studied by the wider community.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama mitra adalah pemahaman pada bidang operasional dan pemasaran yang yang belum optimal mengenai sistim manajemen keselamatan dan barang berbahaya dpada masyarakat penerbangan. Tujuan dari kegiatan sosialisasi ini adalah bagaimana mencari solusi dengan melakukan pengenalan sistim manajemen keselamatan yang telah dikondisikan dengan mitigasi resiko hazard berkaitan dengan adanya ancaman pandemi Covid-19 dan berbasis data terkini. Berawal dari hasil penelitian perlu disosialisasikan terutama terkait pada masa new normal ini sebagai bagian dari pada manajemen transportasi udara, manajemen keselamatan penerbangan dan kebandar udaraan merupakan suatu kebutuhan dasar bagi masyarakat aviasi dalam era masa Pandemik serta globalisasi. Kesiapan sumber daya manusia merupakan suatu persyaratan dasar untuk dapat bersaing untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan tentunya untuk bertahan dimasa sulit seperti masa pandemi. Hasil sosialisasi ini disimpulkan, pengetahuan anggota dan stake holder ALDIKAPI tentang penerapan sistim manajemen keselamatan dan penanganan barang terutama barang berbahaya masih perlu ditingkatkan sehingga diharapkan akan mampu meningkatkan pelayanan kepada pelanggan.

Abstract

Consignee receive cargo from shipper through services from warehouses. Some irregularities are occured during cargo handling in warehouse.  This research’s aim to find the best alternative operational strategy in overcoming either to eliminate or minimize the claim irregularity and improve cargo handling in warehouse. SWOT analysis Methodology was applied to analyze the  Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunity, and Threats . This research use literature review and secondary data of irregularities at PT Aerojasa in 2021. The result shows each score of the highest weight of strength is 0,74, for weakness is 0,58, for Threat is 0,74 while for Opportunity is 0,75. Those result positioned the Aerojasa on  aggressive strategy quadrant at Space Matrix. The average score on IFE Matrix is 4,3 and of EFE Matrix is 4,16 ,those inteesection show the vertical integration Operation or service strategy on Internal External Matrix.

Abstract

The background of this community service is due to the need for knowledge of personnel working in the transportation and logistics as a manager, supervisor, driver and assistant driver related to the delivery of dangerous goods in accordance with national and international regulation. The purpose of this Community Service is to prevent incident during transporting the dangerous goods in accordance with the applicable regulations. This service activity is carried out on 13th May 2023 for member and non member of an National Logistic association namely National Logistic Community. The method used in the implementation of this service is by Webinar using a relaxed but focused conversation approach with online media zoom to the participants registered. The result of this service is the understanding of participant was 19%, an average increase from 78% to 97% obtained from pre and post tests of 15 participants from those National Logistic Community’s member.

Abstract

Latar belakang panduan teknis ini didasari oleh kebutuhan pengetahuan para pemangku kepentingan Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), baik Manajer, Supervisor, maupun posisi staf operasional langsung terkait penanganan barang berbahaya sesuai dengan peraturan transportasi multimoda nasional dan internasional. Tujuan dari Panduan Teknis ini adalah untuk mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan selama pengangkutan barang berbahaya sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku. Kegiatan Penyusunan Panduan Teknis ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 14-15 Agustus 2023. Kegiatan ini diprakarsai oleh BPTJ (Badan Pengelola Transportasi Jabodetabek) dibawah Kementerian Perhubungan Republik Indonesia bekerjasama dengan ATC (Arthraya Training Center) sebagai penyelenggara program dan akademisi Institut Transportasi dan Logistik Trisakti (ITL Trisakti) sebagai pembicara utama atau instruktur. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan layanan ini adalah dengan Pelatihan menggunakan metode ceramah dosen tetapi dengan pendekatan percakapan yang terfokus langsung dengan peserta. Hasil dari bimbingan teknis ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman sebesar 25% dari 17 peserta, berdasarkan pre-test dan post-test yang diberikan, dengan kategori tinggi sebesar 0,83 dalam N Gain, dan bimbingan teknis dinyatakan efektif dengan Gain% sebesar 83%. Implikasi dari kegiatan ini harapannya pengguna jasa dan operator mematuhi peraturan dan standar keselamatan dalam penanganan angkutan barang berbahaya serta menggunakan peralatan pelindung yang tepat, maka keselamatan diri mereka, orang lain, dan lingkungan sekitar dapat terjamin.
