Abstract

Abstract: Technological development is a complex phenomenon influenced by various factors. Several theories have been proposed to explain the dynamics and evolution of technology. Technological development is not only about new discoveries, but also how technology is applied and adopted in society. In this context, factors such as regulation, public acceptance, and social impact also play an important role in shaping the direction and sustainability of technological development. Bintang Mulia Batu Bara Course and Training Institute (LKP) is an institution that provides training in various skills for the local community. The skills provided are computer courses and also English courses. In operational activities, at LKP, especially students can learn to operate computers and use applications. However, in terms of implementation and operational efficiency in carrying out the assignments or exercises given, students still do not understand how to use Graphic Design Applications. The aim of this service activity is to introduce and provide experience to students regarding graphic design applications, then using the Canva application can be an innovation for students in carrying out the assignments or exercises given. The graphic design application used is the Canva application. With this activity, it is hoped that it can provide new knowledge to students about the graphic design applications used. Keyword: Graphic Design; Canva Application; LKP Bintang Mulia Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi merupakan fenomena kompleks yang dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor. Beberapa teori telah diajukan untuk menjelaskan dinamika dan evolusi teknologi. Perkembangan teknologi bukan hanya tentang penemuan baru, tetapi juga bagaimana teknologi diterapkan dan di adopsi dalam masyarakat. Dalam konteks ini, faktor faktor seperti regulasi, penerimaan masyarakat, dan dampak sosial juga memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk arah dan keberlanjutan perkembangan teknologi. Lembaga Kursus dan Pelatihan (LKP) Bintang Mulia Batu Bara merupakan institusi yang menyediakan pelatihan berbagai keterampilan bagi masyarakat sekitar. Adapun keterampilan yang disediakan yaitu kursus komputer dan juga kursus bahasa inggris. Dalam kegiatan operasional, di LKP, Khususnya peserta didik dapat belajar mengoperasikan komputer dan menggunakan aplikasi. Namun dalam penerapan dan efisiensi operasional dalam mengerjakan tugas tugas atau latihan yang diberikan, peserta didik masih belum memahami cara menggunakan Aplikasi khususnya Desain Grafis. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk memperkenalkan dan memberikan pengalaman kepada peserta didik tentang aplikasi desain grafis, kemudian dengan menggunakan aplikasi ini bisa menjadi salah satu inovasi bagi peserta didik dalam mengerjakan tugas atau latihan yang diberikan.  Aplikasi desain grafis yang digunakan yaitu aplikasi Canva. Abstract

Penerapan teknologi dalam sistem administrasi publik sangat penting untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi layanan. Salah satu bidang yang membutuhkan pembaruan adalah sistem pendataan tamu di BAPPEDA Kabupaten Asahan, yang selama ini masih menggunakan metode manual yang rentan terhadap kesalahan pencatatan, kehilangan data, dan memakan waktu. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan penerapan sistem pendataan tamu berbasis teknologi scan barcode. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem pendataan tamu yang lebih efisien, akurat, dan aman menggunakan teknologi barcode. Sistem ini memungkinkan tamu untuk mendaftar secara cepat dengan memindai barcode yang terhubung dengan data mereka, yang secara otomatis tersimpan dalam database. Dalam kegiatan ini, dilakukan pelatihan dan workshop untuk petugas BAPPEDA Kab. Asahan mengenai penggunaan sistem baru ini, termasuk pengenalan perangkat keras, perangkat lunak, serta prosedur keamanan data. Hasil dari penerapan sistem ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas administrasi, mengurangi kesalahan, serta mempermudah pemantauan dan pelaporan kunjungan tamu di BAPPEDA Kabupaten Asahan. Dengan demikian, sistem ini dapat mendukung peningkatan pelayanan publik yang lebih efisien dan transparan.

Abstract

Abstract: As children's use of gadgets increases, effective parental supervision is becoming increasingly important to ensure children's digital safety and health. The purpose of this activity is to provide technical training on parental control through gadget use to children using the Google Family Links function when monitoring children's devices. This training program is designed to provide people with practical knowledge and skills. The method of this PkM activity is carried out in 2 ways, namely lectures that include theoretical sessions on the principles of parental control, followed by practical exercises on configuring settings using Google links. Furthermore, discussion and question and answer sessions are used to help parents provide solutions to the obstacles faced during the PkM activity. The evaluation results showed that training participants experienced a significant increase in their understanding and application of the child safety techniques taught. Surveys and interviews conducted with participants who took part in Community Service (PkM) in Teluk Dalam Village, showed that after taking the training they were able to better manage their children's device usage, including limiting device usage time and content supervision. With this training, namely using Google Family Links, it has significant benefits in improving parents' digital supervision skills and creating a safer and healthier digital environment for children. Keyword: parenting control; google family links; gadget monitoring; gadget Abstrak:  Seiring dengan meningkatnya penggunaan gadget oleh anak-anak, pengawasan orang tua yang efektif menjadi semakin penting untuk memastikan keselamatan dan kesehatan digital anak-anak. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk memberikan pelatihan teknis tentang kontrol orang tua melalui penggunaan gadget kepada anak-anak dengan menggunakan fungsi Google Family Links saat memantau perangkat anak-anak. Program pelatihan ini dirancang untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan praktis kepada orang. Metode kegiatan PkM ini dilakukan dengan 2 cara yakni ceramah yang mencakup sesi teori tentang prinsip-prinsip kontrol orang tua, diikuti dengan latihan praktis tentang mengonfigurasi pengaturan menggunakan tautan Google. Selanjutnya dilakukan sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab yang digunakan untuk membantu orang tua dalam memberikan solusi dari kendala yang dihadapi selama kegiatan PkM. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman dan penerapan teknik keselamatan anak yang diajarkan. Survei dan wawancara yang dilakukan kepada peserta yang mengikuti Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) di desa teluk dalam, menunjukkan bahwa setelah mengikuti pelatihan mereka mampu mengelola penggunaan perangkat anak-anak mereka dengan lebih baik, termasuk membatasi waktu pemakaian perangkat dan pengawasan konten. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini yaitu menggunakan Google family Links memiliki manfaat yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pengawasan digital orang tua dan menciptakan lingkungan digital yang lebih aman dan sehat bagi anak-anak. Kata kunci: parenting kontrol; google family links; pengawasan gadget; gadget

Abstract

The selection of outstanding students at MA Islamiyah Sei Kamah II was previously conducted manually and subjectively, without a structured and transparent assessment standard. The evaluation relied solely on report card scores, disregarding other factors such as attendance, non-academic achievements, and student behavior, which could impact the objectivity of the selection process. To address this issue, this study implements a Decision Support System (DSS) based on the Composite Performance Index (CPI) method to enhance accuracy and transparency in selecting outstanding students. The CPI method integrates various assessment criteria with assigned weights, including report card scores (40%), non-academic achievements (30%), behavior (20%), and attendance (10%). The system is web-based, developed using PHP and MySQL to systematically manage student data. The implementation results indicate that the developed system effectively ranks students more objectively and accurately, ensuring a fair and accountable selection process. With this system, the school can improve the quality of student evaluations and provide more appropriate recognition for high-achieving students. Future recommendations include expanding the system’s accessibility through an Android-based application to enhance usability and efficiency in managing student data.

Abstract

The development of information technology offers significant opportunities for businesses to improve operational efficiency, including inventory management. Toko Reza Sukses, a clothing retail business, faces challenges in balancing stock levels with customer demand. This imbalance can lead to overstocking or stockouts, resulting in losses and decreased customer satisfaction. This study aims to apply the Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) method to forecast stock requirements based on historical data. DES was chosen for its ability to capture upward or downward trends in sales data. The system is designed as a web-based application using the PHP programming language to facilitate an effective and efficient forecasting process. The implementation results show that the system is capable of providing more accurate stock estimates, reducing instances of stock shortages and surpluses, and enhancing customer satisfaction through better product availability.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has encouraged business actors, including retail stores such as Wulan Busana, to adopt more effective systems for managing customer relationships. One relevant solution is the implementation of Electronic Customer Relationship Management (e-CRM) to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction. This study aims to design and implement a web-based e-CRM system at Wulan Busana store using the CodeIgniter framework. The method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and literature review. The results of the study show that the e-CRM system helps the store manage customer data, monitor product stock, and carry out marketing activities in a more structured and efficient manner. The implementation of this system has proven to enhance interaction between the store and customers, accelerate responses to customer needs, and simplify promotional and sales evaluation processes. The system also has a positive impact on increasing customer loyalty and improving the store’s operational efficiency.

Abstract

The rapid development of the event decoration service industry demands companies to be able to provide optimal services and meet client needs quickly and objectively. Mainaka Decoration as a company engaged in the field of event decoration services faces problems in the process of selecting the best decoration concept which is still done subjectively based on the designer's experience and intuition. This condition causes the decision-making process to be less effective, not standardized, and has the potential to cause a mismatch between client expectations and the decoration results provided. Therefore, a system is needed that is able to assist management in determining the best decoration concept based on measurable criteria. This study aims to design and build a Decision Support System (DSS) in selecting the best decoration concept by applying the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The SAW method is used to rank several alternative decoration concepts based on predetermined criteria, namely budget, aesthetics, work time, theme suitability, and durability of decoration materials. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The system is designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and implemented web-based using PHP programming language with MySQL database. The results of this study indicate that the application of the SAW method in the Decision Support System is able to provide recommendations for the best decoration concepts objectively and systematically according to client needs. The system built can help increase effectiveness and efficiency in the decision-making process, minimize subjectivity in assessing decoration alternatives, and improve service quality and customer satisfaction at Mainaka Decoration

Abstract

Abstract: The election of the Student Council President is an important process in building a democratic, responsible, and integrity-based leadership culture in the school environment. In addition, through the main discussion in this study aims to optimize the selection process for candidates for Student Council President at SMP Negeri 11 Tanjung Balai through the implementation of a Decision Support System (DSS) based on the MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis) method. The MOORA method is used to normalize values, weight criteria, and calculate optimization values ​​to produce the best alternative ranking. Data were obtained through observation, interviews with school officials, and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that the MOORA method is able to provide objective and transparent ranking results, where M. Asril Sitorus Pane obtained the highest score of 0.347 (Rank 1), followed by M. Rian with a score of 0.333 (Rank 2). The implementation of this system is expected to be able to provide recommendations for the best candidates regularly and accurately, so that it can support fairer and more accountable decision-making in the next Student Council President election. Abstrak: Pemilihan Ketua OSIS merupakan proses penting dalam membangun budaya kepemimpinan yang demokratis, bertanggung jawab dan berintegritas di lingkungan sekolah. Selain itu, melalui pokok pembahasan pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat mengoptimalkan proses seleksi calon Ketua OSIS di SMP Negeri 11 Tanjung Balai melalui penerapan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan berbasis metode MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis). Metode MOORA digunakan agar dapat melakukan normalisasi nilai, pembobotan kriteria serta perhitungan nilai optimasi guna menghasilkan peringkat alternatif terbaik. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara dengan pihak sekolah serta dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode MOORA mampu memberikan hasil peringkat yang objektif dan transparan, yang dimana M. Asril Sitorus Pane memperoleh nilai tertinggi sebesar 0,347 (Peringkat 1), diikuti oleh M. Rian dengan nilai 0,333 (Peringkat 2). Penerapan sistem ini diharapkan mampu memberikan rekomendasi kandidat terbaik secara sistematis dan akurat, sehingga dapat mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang lebih adil dan akuntabel dalam pemilihan Ketua OSIS selanjutnya. Abstract

Public service is a key indicator in assessing the performance of government agencies, including the police. The Simpang Empat Police Station, as a technical police unit at the subdistrict level, plays a strategic role in providing services to the community. However, there are still complaints regarding long wait times, unfriendly officers, and suboptimal facilities. This study aims to evaluate the quality of public service at the Simpang Empat Police Station using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The assessment was based on six criteria: service accuracy, officer attitude and behavior, service speed, clarity of information, transparency of the service process, and communication with the public. Data was collected through a questionnaire administered to service users. The results indicate that Mediation Services (A07) received the highest preference score of 0.9865, followed by Security and Order Services (A02) at 0.9792 and Guidance and Counseling Services (A05) at 0.9752. The average SAW score was 0.9706 with a satisfaction level of 97.06%, which falls into the “very satisfactory” category, indicating that the SAW method is effective for evaluating the quality of public services.

Abstract

Abstract: Inventory managemet plays a strategic role in supporting the operational sustainability of retail businesses. Errors in determining the quantity of goods procured can lead to inventory buildup or stockouts, which impacts increased storage costs and reduced customer service levels. Attar Jaya store still uses a manual inventory management system, so the restocking recording and decision-making processes are not yet supported by an integrated and data-driven system. This condition has the potential to cause inefficiency in inventory management. This research aims to apply the concept of Electronic Supply Chain Management (E-SCM) integrated with the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to determine the optimal order quantity of goods. The EOQ method is used to calculate the most economical order quantity by considering ordering and storage costs, while E-SCM plays a role in integrating inventory management processes digitally. The research methods include observation, interviews, and literature studies, with system design using the Unified Modelign Language (UML). The system was developed using the PHP programming language and the MwSQL database. The research result are expected to help Toko Attar Jaya improve the accuracy of resctocking decision-making, minimize the risk of overstocking and understocking, and increase the efficiency of inventory mangement. Kesalahan dalam menentukan jumah pengadaan barang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya penumpukan persediaan maupun kekurangan stok yang berdampak pada meningkatnya biaya penyimpanan seerta menurunnya tingkat pelayanan kepada pelanggan. Toko Attar Jaya masih menerapkan sistem pengelolaan persediaan secara manual, sehingga proses pencatatan dan pengambilan keputusan restok belum didukung oleh sistem yang terintegrasi dan berbasis data. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan ketidakefisienan dalam pengelolaan stok barang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan konsep Electronic Supply Chain Management (E-SCM) yang terintegrasi dengan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dalam menentukan jumlah pemesanan barang yang optimal. Metode EOQ digunakan untuk menghitung jumlah pemesanan yang paling ekonomis dengan mempertimbangkan biaya pemesanan dan biaya penyimpanan, sedangkan E-SCM berperan dalam mengintegrasikan proses pengelolaan persediaan secara digital. Metode penelitian meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur, dengan perancangan sistem menggunakan Unified Modeling Languge (UML). Sistem dikembangkan mengguanakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL. Hasil penelitian diharapkan mampu membantu pihak Toko Attar Jaya dalam meningkatkan akurasi pengambilan keputusan restok, meminimalkan risiko kelebihan dan kekurangan persediaan, serta meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan persediaan.
