The purpose of this study is to describe the learning of cultural arts, especially music during the Covid-19 pandemic in class VIII-1 of SMP Negeri 7 Padang. This research is classified in the qualitative research with qualitative descriptive methods, the data were collected through literature study, observation, and interviews. The object of this research was a leaning process in art and culture (music) in class VIII-1 of SMP Negeri 7 Padang. The types of data were primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained directly from sources; a) direct observation of the teaching and learning process with the topic of techniques and styles of singing folk songs; b) interviews with teachers of arts and culture subjects. Based on the data processing, the conclusions are; 1) learning can be done at home, at school, and in the society; 2) from the teacher as the only source of learning turned into various learning resources; 3) from students are told to learn to find out, 4) the method used by the arts and culture teacher is an online method (in a network) which used information and communication technology to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of learning. The results of this research showed that the teaching and learning process had not fully achieved the desired goals.

This study aims to describe and determine the Implementation of Culture and Arts instruction using online learning at SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang. This research is a qualitative research using a descriptive analysis method. The instruments used were the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing instruments and mobile phones. The data were collected through interviews, literature study, and documentation. This study used primary and secondary data. The data analysis was conducted by collecting the data, identifying the data, classifying the data, describing the data, and making conclusions. The results show that the implementation of online learning has not been carried out well. This is due to the fact that there are still many students who do not participate in the process of online learning. In addition, the lesson plans used by teachers are inappropriate. The teachers still use lesson plans for classrooms instruction. This is due to the fact that there is no order from the government to create online lesson plans. The media used is very limited. The teachers use smartphones, laptops and computers. Moreover, the methods used are also limited. The teachers usually used demonstration, lectures, discussions, and assignments. Meanwhile, in online learning the teachers only give assignments. Discussions carried out during online learning are still conducted. However, there are small numbers of students respond and participate in the discussion. The assignments collected are also not on time on the grounds that students have not finished working on assignments, network problems, internet data, and others.

Abstract The purpose of this research was to find out the feasibility of an audiovisual media development product of Digital Books of Cheerful Indonesian Kids for Kindergarten. The type of research was R & D (Research and Development). The product was developed through five stages of modified work procedure from Borg and Gall product development procedure with stages: (1) planning, (2) Initial Product Development, (3) Validation of product, (4) Trial, and (5) Final Product. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed in the form of descriptive quantitative in order to know the product quality. In this research development, there was four persons of materials validator which consisted of two media validator.Based on the validation assessment of material validator and media validator, the result of the material validity was 85.7% and the results of the assessment of the media validator got the value of 80% and the average validation value was 82.85%. It means the product is in the valid category. It can be concluded that the product developed feasible to be tested. For the practicality, this media was categorized practical through the practicality test with an average practice score of 86.66%. It can be concluded that a digital book song is worthy media and able to be used in the singing process in Kindergarten.Keyword: Development Study, Borg and Gall, Digital Book Song, Audiovisual Media.

Penggunaan Aplikasi Geschool Pada Pembelajaran Bernyanyi Secara Polifoni Di SMP Negeri 25 Padang Dian Alfianita Zendrato; Irdhan Epria Darma Putra

The research problem was motivated by the obstacles faced by students in online learning. At SMP Negeri 25 Padang, the obstacles are in the form of internet quotas, signals, and difficulty level in accessing application so that the online learning is disrupted. This study aims to find out and describe the use of the Geschool application in learning polyphony singing of Culture and Arts subject matter in class VII, SMP Negeri 25 Padang.This study belongs to a descriptive qualitative research. The object of this research was the seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 25 Padang. This study used stationery and mobile phone as research instruments. The data were in the form of primary and secondary data collected by using literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed by using 6 stages consisting of identifying, classifying, clarifying, describing, analyzing, and concluding the data. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of Geschool application in learning polyphonic singing has been going well in the distrIbution of materials and assignments. It is suitable with the features provided by the Geschool application. However, it does not work well for practical learning. This is due to the fact that the practical learning is not optimal if it is taught through video learning only.

Sijobang Art formerly acted as an introduction to Kaba ( news ) , stories and information presented in an art show . Media used in the performing arts is sijobang flick lighters in a manner that serves as a regulator of the rhythm . Music is not only an audio work is in production with a musical instrument that is in production . Even though a match can be a medium of entertainment for the people but as the development of the arts basijobang start using media kucapi ( lute ) . work " Stimul Of Tradition" is born from the color matches and harp sound that is processed into a musical composition and packaged in different ways .

This artwork aims to express an idea that is poured through music performances in the form of music arrangement. In this song, arranger worked in the form of school music arrangement. The band Combo at SMK N 7 Padang corresponds to the ability of ensembles studied by students. Here arranger arranged song our house is played with some vocal music accompaniment, keyboard, bass, guitar, drums. The arransemen in this piece of music contains lyrics that explain that as bad and cruel as any of this country we must remain grateful and devoted to the homeland. By building new things through some development techniques such as reps, modulation, Augmentsi, diminution, arpeggio and various other techniques without changing the essence of the song of our house. Arransemen song popularized by one of the Indonesian rock band Goodbles with the title song "Rumah Kita" played by students of SMK Negeri 7 Padang. The Arransemen is played by 6 people with vocal formations, guitars, keyboards, bass and drums.

Abstract This piece of music was created as the response to the phenomena of moral and ethics change of Minangkabau people through voice media. This was done by considering the concept of producing rhythm and melody which were expressed in several expression media wich then interpreted the meaning of Bakodek Jo nan Singkek. Abstract This article aims to find out the results of increased student learning Class VII. 6 through direct instruction model on the subjects of art and culture (music) in SMP Negeri 13 Padang. The type of research was classroom action research. Classroom action research procedure consisted of four stages, they were planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Techniques of data collection were done by literature study, observation, test and documentation. The results showed that the application of direct learning model in the learning of art and culture (music) was very effective in improving student learning outcomes. From the learning process of student activity on cycle 1, it was found that the average of overall score of 1, 2 and 3 was 52%. While in cycle 2, the overall average score of meetings 1, 2 and 3 was 81%, the average student learning outcomes increased significantly from cycle 1 to cycle 2 with very good criteria. Judging from the data of the students' learning outcomes both written test and practice ability in the average pre cycle value 68 that increased in cycle 1 with the average value of 80 and cycle 2 with an average value of 85.3. Seen in the results of students' ability to practice improvement in each cycle that was in pre cycle had only has average score 67, cycle 1 with the average value of 80.3 and cycle 2 with an average value of 85. AbstractThis article aimed to describe the presentation of talempong pacik in Painan, Pesisir Selatan district seen at the babako event. The approach of this research used descriptive analysis method. The results of the study found that there were 3 procession stages at the Babako event: a) Balimau, b) Maasok Kumayan and c) having meal together. The presentation of talempong pacik at babako event is performed as a form of procession. It is as an accompaniment of bako picking up the bride (anak daro) and the groom (marapulai). Talempong pacik is begun with the bride-groom parade to the bride's house. Next, it is continued by the babako procession and then the parade goes back to the bride’s house. Talempong pacik is showed to the public as a performance. The meaning of the talempong pacik is a symbol of happiness for the bride and groom's family and it is a manifestation of Painan people’s love for traditional arts, especially talempong pacik.Keywords: The Form, Talempong Pacik, Babako Event.

Abstract This study was aimed conducting an extracurricular activity with a new method, so it can trigger students to participate in this activity. This a a qualitative study with descriptive-analysis method. It was intended to describe the implementation of guitar extracurricular activity at SMPN 8 Padang. The data were collected through observation, interview, documentation, and library study. The result revealed that guitar extracurricular activity at SMPN 8 Padang was carried out by using video lessons media in order to improve students’ creativity in playing musical instrument.Thus, it can be concluded that (1) its guitar curricular activity ran well, but needs some improvement; (2) video lessons media was expected to be able to motivate student to participate n this activity; (3) student can play simple song by using guitar either individually or in grup; (4) student were able to express and perform their ability in school activities; (5) student could get good achievement in many music competitions.
