AbstrakThe first data, through analysis of study result of Departement of Arts, Drama, Dance and Music 2015 students on Solfegio and music transcription Subject, it could be seen that there were some cases in relathionship between both of them, namely the last semester students who took line of work, they have the same problem, that was difficulty in transcripting music. Type of this study was quantitative, the method which was based on positivism. It was used to research on population or specific sample. Technique of data collection were done randomly by using instrument. Data analysis was quantitatively / statistic with purpose to test hypothesis which had been stated. (Sugiyono, 2006:14). Population in this study were Departement of Arts, Drama, Dance and Music 2015 students at class transcription and music analysis. In this study, data gained by taking documentation of student study result on solfegio and transcription subjects. Then, data were analyzed by using test of cofesion and correlation. Based on data analysis, it could be seen that corelation value was 22,845%. This value was in underweight category. It meant that the lack of cometence influence which was gained by Departement of Arts, Drama, Dance and Music 2015 students terhadap solfegio and transcription subjects. This competence was improved more because this had great effect toward the ability of students in transcripting or writing music. Keywords : Solfegio, Transcription, Effect.

Abstract This article aims to find out and describe the existence of the Gamat Mandayu Musik group Pelangi Ranah Minang Art Studio in Padang City, seen from users and functions. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the gamat mandayu music group still existed with limited training grounds and lack of government attention. Lack of public attention and government increasingly eliminate the existence of gamad music in the city of Padang. For that, gamad music in Padang City still exists, the role of the City government is needed to maintain this cultural heritage. The functions found in gamat music arts are: (1) emotional disclosure function, (2) aesthetic comprehension function, (3) entertainment function, (4) communication function, (5) physical reaction function. Abstract People could not evade problems when they were doing their daily life routines. These problems made them feel sad, confused and depressed which later led them to what is called as Melancholia. This melancholic feeling surely interrupted them in doing their routines so that it was difficult for them to obtain their life goals. This melancholia phenomenon was then transferred into a music composition. The melancholic feeling would be best felt through a masterpiece of music. It was hoped that by listening to it, people would feel how it was to be melancholic. Kata kunci : Melankolia

This study aims to describe or reveal the implementation of online learning of cultural arts, especially music for students at SMP Negeri 21 Padang. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research with the object of research is class IX students. The research instrument was the researcher himself and was assisted by supporting instruments, namely writing instruments and cellphones. Types of data sources in the form of primary data and secondary data, collected using data collection techniques in the form of literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. Then there are 6 stages of data analysis techniques, namely collecting data in the field, identifying data, classifying data according to type, bringing up findings, describing data, discussing findings relevantly. The results of the study concluded that the implementation of online learning had not gone well as expected, because there were still many students who did not follow the online learning process. This is also due to the lack of understanding of students to understand the material through the online learning process, compared to the face-to-face process, where the teacher explains directly to students. So that students only understand the material themselves, are less involved or participate, because they are also just waiting for answers from friends and just waiting for what is conveyed by the teacher.

ABSTRACT The artwork of “Wonderfully Natural” was the individual artwork that was derived from life experiences that composed in music based the ability and the influences of social and cultural environment in recent time. The aim of the mucik creation was to express the writer’s own ability in music. In this “Wonderfully Natural” artwork, the writer had tried to develop several changes on the instruments and the techniques of the music. In this wsic artwork, the writer rearrenged the initial arrangement. Moreover, the writer composed the music with combining the orginal versiion with ballada style and instrumental. The differen between these two versions was that in ballada style, it usually has the vocal or voice and in this combination, instruments was used to replace the vocal voice. Abstract This article aims to describe the implementation of extracurricular activities the choir to cultivate interest in Junior High School students in the country 26 field. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method of analysis. The object of this research is the coach of the extracurricular choirs in 26 Country Junior High School field. The technique of data collection was done through observation, interviews, and the study of the literature. The analysis is done via data classification, description, and analysis, as well as a summary. The research results showed that the implementation of extracurricular choirs in 26 228 Padang still have not gone well and have yet to fully use the perfect rehearsal stage. Even so, the motivation given coach against the students can create a sense of optimism and spirit of the student in following this process so that the implementation of extracurricular activities extracurricular choirs can continue running. AbstractThe purpose of this work is to arrange Ayah song as a form of expression of the author's musical experience in arranging, making musical arrangements that are relevant to the works of musical works of students and maximizing the potential of human resources (students) in school. In this work, the author uses a mixed ensemble presentation format. The musical instruments used for accompanying vocals are pianika, piano, guitar, bass, and drum-set. This arrangement uses 2 parts, namely part A and part B with a time signature of 4/4. Part A starts from 1 time to 46 time and part B starts from the time of 47 to 103. The musical arrangement of this work contains lyrics that tell about the attitude of a father who loves and protects his child. The development techniques applied are (1) repetition melodically and rhythmically, (2) sequences, (3) augmentation, (4) diminution, and various other techniques without changing the essence of the song Ayah.

The song of the red bridge is a national anthem created by Gesang that contains the story of farewell in the fire of struggle. The purpose of this work is to create works in the form of school music arrangements. In this work the arranger worked on a red bridge song in the form of school music, then combined it with a touch of combo band from several musical components in the middle, thus forming a new arransemen to show. The nuances of the arrangement will later transform the emotions of hope and anticipation into something joyous, reinforced by the progress of jazz chords and combined with the pattern of ska music. This work of "Red Bridge" is a self-expression of the author with a form manifested into three plot sections, based on the development of the song "Red Bridge" as well as brass session patterns, which are appeared in a series of ritems and sentences using composition techniques used as binding of this work.

Abstract The study was aimed to know the use of principles which were done by using expository strategy on Minangkabau traditional music in SMA Negeri 3 Padang. The study was classified in qualitative research with descriptive approach. Instrument of the study was the researcher and assisted by some tools such as stationery, camera and audio recorder. Technique of data collection were done by doing observation, interviews, library reserach and documentation. Results of the study showed that in curriculum 2013, expository learning strategy was still eligible to be used, if the teachers could meet the criteria of the strategy of expository and they did not only focus on methods lecture and dictation. Criteria which should be met were preparation before the study began and conveyed the purpose of the study. Then in the presentation, the teachers should paid attention to the use of language such as used variety in teaching, designed learning messages, kept the voice intonation and kept contact with the students so that the students could focus on the taught material. In SMA Negeri 3 Padang, the art and cultural teachers were lack of understanding to principles of the expository learning strategy, the teachers more focused on the lecture and dictation only. The purpose of this study is howthe implementation of cultural art learning media (music) using audiovisual media at class IX in SMP 2 Pariaman. Type of this research was classroom action research that was classified as qualitative research. The research method was carried out by using the class action research method proposed by Suharsimi Arikunto as follows: (1) Planning (2) Acting (3)Observing (4) Observing (4) Reflecting. Techniques of data collection used some instrumentsin the form of students observation sheets, observations and teacher performance in learning process, meanwhile, in determining the quality of students learning outcomes used anevaluation / test sheets. he results show that the use of audiovisual learning media can improve the students learning outcomes in Cultural Arts (Music) subject. The initial average value is 70.00, in the first cycle is 71.87 and in the second cycle is 87.34.
