This study aims to analyze research trends related to ethnoscience published in the period 2014 to 2024. Methodology: This study uses bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review. Data collection was carried out by searching for the keyword "Ethnoscience" in October 2024. The data was sourced from the Scopus database and obtained 271 documents. 166 articles were obtained after filtering. Furthermore, analyzed using VOSviewer. Main Findings: The results showed that ethnoscience has increased significantly as a research topic from 2014 to 2021; ethnoscience in science learning is more widely studied in Indonesia. The author who researched the most ethnoscience is Sudarmin, with a total of 16 documents. This study also highlights the latest research approaching 2022–2024 and its impact on student skills. Novelty/Originality of this study: These findings also highlight the importance of ethnoscience in local and traditional studies and focus on the development of science and education.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an e-module, test the feasibility of the e-module, and test the effectiveness of the guided inquiry-based e-module integrated with KingDraw on isomerism to improve motivation and learning outcomes. This research and development which refers to the Borg & Gall development model which consists of 10 steps and was conducted in three senior high schools in Surakarta. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and test questionnaires. The effectiveness test used a pretest-posttest design group. Data on motivation and learning were analyzed using normalized gain and SPSS, including normality, homogeneity, and independent sample t-tests. The results show that the guided inquiry-based chemistry e-module integrated with KingDraw was successfully developed through ten Borg and Gall stages and declared feasible as supporting teaching material. Feasibility was demonstrated through expert validation using the Aiken index on media (V = 0.87), material (V = 0.85), and language (V = 0.88) aspects. Guided inquiry-based e-modules with the help of KingDraw have been proven to be more effective than conventional methods in improving students' motivation and learning outcomes, as shown by the higher N-gain value of the experimental class compared to the control class, both in learning outcomes (0.553 > 0.246) and learning motivation (0.673 > 0.216). In addition, the results of the independent t-test with a sig. value of 0.00 indicate that the use of e-modules provides a significant difference to students' motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Effect of Bentonite toward Polymorph Phase Formation and Thermal Properties of Polyvinylidene Fluoride/Bentonite Hybrid Membranes. The study of the structure and thermal properties of PVDF/bentonite (BNT) hybrid membranes has been carried out. This study aims to determine the effect of BNT addition on the phase formation and thermal properties of the PVDF. In this study, PVDF/BNT hybrid membranes were prepared through the phase inversion method. The resulting membrane was characterized by Attenuated Total Reflectance Fourier Transform Infrared (ATR-FTIR), x-ray diffraction (XRD), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results showed that the PVDF/BNT membrane has a PVDF polymorph structure with α and β phases confirmed by FTIR and XRD data. The DSC data showed that the addition of BNT decrease of the melting point (Tm) and with a smaller melting temperature range. PVDF polymorph crystallization occurs isothermally and the presence of BNT produces a crystallization point (Tc) at a higher temperature than pristine PVDF membrane. Thermal analysis with DSC provides comprehensive information on melting and crystallization of PVDF polymorphs in the membrane matrix.
