Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis penerimaan sinyal terima GPS di wilayah kepulauan untuk mengetahui karakteristik propagasi sinyal GPS untuk pemanfaatan Mobile Land Satellite. Penelitian ini dilakukan di empat lokasi, pada saat user fixed dan mobile, pada berbagai kondisi dan variasi lingkungan. Data-data yang diperlukan yaitu posisi, SNR, sudut elevasi dan azimut. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa nilai SNR sangat tergantung pada kondisi lingkungan sekitar user. Sinyal yang dihasilkan pada saat user diam (fixed) lebih stabil dibandingkan pada saat user bergerak (mobile). Pulau Samalona merupakan lokasi yang memiliki sinyal penerimaan yang paling baik. Semakin besar nilai SNR maka nilai redaman akan semakin kecil, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sinyal terbaik adalah sinyal yang memiliki redaman yang paling kecil. Kata kunci : fixed, GPS, mobile, redaman , SNR

Abstract

Posyandu sebagai fasilitas kesehatan masyarakat berperan penting dalam mendukung kesehatan ibu, anak, dan balita. Namun, kenyamanan pengguna sering kali diabaikan, meskipun faktor ini berpengaruh pada tingkat partisipasi masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak rehabilitasi Posyandu terhadap peningkatan kenyamanan pengguna di Gang Banyumas RT 32, Kelurahan Karang Joang, Balikpapan Utara. Pendekatan yang digunakan meliputi survei kepada pengguna Posyandu dan wawancara dengan ketua RT 32 dan kader Posyandu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbaikan fasilitas, seperti penataan ruang yang lebih ergonomis dan penyediaan sarana penunjang kenyamanan, seperti lemari penyimpanan dan tempat sampah, berhasil meningkatkan kenyamanan pengguna. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa rehabilitasi Posyandu tidak hanya penting untuk meningkatkan layanan kesehatan, tetapi juga kenyamanan, yang pada akhirnya mendukung keberlanjutan program kesehatan masyarakat.

Abstract

Fires can occur if several other factors are met  heat sources, flammable materials and oxygen. The biggest potential cause of fires in buildings is electricity. This research aims to prove whether electrical short circuits trigger fires in residential homes or semi-permanent buildings, especially in electrical installation equipment. This type of research is quantitative using experimental methods, which are descriptive analysis to determine the effect of a particular treatment on other treatments under controlled conditions, to find out for sure the main cause of the fire. This research show that the mothers' knowledge is quite limited regarding the use of household electricity and the tools used are old enough to cause short circuits. This is also triggered by the use of electrical installations that do not meet PUIL 2000 and SNI standards. Researchers need to provide education to residents, especially housewives, about the effectiveness of using electricity at different times of the day. An explanation of the load distribution system for electrical devices is a top priority in this education. In this education, various forms of explanation and direction are provided regarding the importance of saving energy during peak hours and the importance of knowing the use of energy-saving products (LED lights). With the program to use environmentally friendly and energy efficient household electricity, mothers' understanding of the concept of environmentally friendly PLN will be more developed and more efficient in terms of welfare and family comfort from various environmental threats due to electricity disturbances.

Abstract

Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) is one of the state universities that is currently actively developing educational facilities and infrastructure. Geologically, ITK is built on the Kampung Baru sedimentary rock formation, which has a low level of soil bearing capacity. This can cause damage to the building if the determination of the foundation depth does not have the right bearing data. The study aimed to determine the subsurface structure in the ITK campus area based on the speed of seismic wave propagation and to determine the distribution of subsurface hard rock layers in the ITK campus development area. The research methods used are field surveys, data acquisition, seismic wave recording data, travel time curves, 2D fast wave propagation models, and interpretation. The research results obtained the value of the first layer wave propagation velocity on tracks 1,2,3,4, and 5, ranging from 128.7 - 201.9 m/s. The second layer on tracks 1,2,3,4, and 5 ranged from 272.4 - 428.0 m/s. The research concludes that it can determine the subsurface structure based on the fast wave propagation value, geological conditions, and outcrop findings, namely the first layer in the form of soil and the second layer in the form of sand clay. Development can be carried out in the passive clay layer by laying the foundation

Abstract

Nonparametric regression is a regression approach that is used to determine the relationship between the response variable and the predictor variable if the shape of the regression curve is unknown. One of the popular estimators used in nonparametric regression is the Fourier series estimator. Fourier series nonparametric regression is generally used when the pattern of the investigated data is unknown and there is a tendency for the pattern to repeat. The purpose of this study is to estimate nonparametric regression using the Fourier series approach and to find out the factors that influence the open unemployment rate on the island of Borneo in 2021. The criteria for the goodness of the model used Generalized Cross Validation (GCV) and the coefficient of determination ( ). Based on the results, it was found that the best nonparametric regression model for the Fourier series was the model with 5 oscillations which indicated a minimum GCV of 10.47 and an of 74.22%. Furthermore, based on the results of parameter significance testing either simultaneously or partially, it shows that all predictor variables have a significant effect on the open unemployment rate. The predictor variables include the labor force participation rate, the average length of schooling, the percentage of poor people, economic growth rate, and total population.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan program Kids of Character berbasis cerita dan permainan sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan sikap moral dan empati anak usia dini. Program ini dirancang menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek uji coba adalah 20 anak usia 5–6 tahun di salah satu lembaga PAUD di kota X. Program terdiri dari rangkaian cerita bergambar yang mengandung nilai-nilai karakter serta permainan edukatif tematik yang dirancang untuk membangun interaksi sosial dan kesadaran emosional anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah mengikuti program, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam sikap moral (seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan keberanian) serta empati anak (seperti membantu teman dan menunjukkan kepedulian emosional). Pendekatan berbasis cerita dan permainan terbukti efektif dalam menyampaikan nilai-nilai karakter secara menyenangkan dan bermakna bagi anak. Program ini juga memperkuat aspek perkembangan sosial-emosional sesuai teori Erik Erikson dan kecerdasan emosional menurut Daniel Goleman. Dengan demikian, Kids of Character layak dijadikan alternatif inovatif dalam pendidikan karakter di usia dini.

Abstract

Sign Language Recognition (SLR) helps deaf people communicate with normal people. However, SLR still has difficulty detecting dynamic movements of connected sign language, which reduces the accuracy of detection. This results from a sentence's usage of transitional gestures between words. Several researchers have tried to solve the problem of transition gestures in dynamic sign language, but none have been able to produce an accurate solution. The R-GB LSTM method detects transition gestures within a sentence based on labelled words and transition gestures stored in a model. If a gesture to be processed during training matches a transition gesture stored in the pre-training process and its probability value is greater than 0.5, it is categorized as a transition gesture. Subsequently, the detected gestures are eliminated according to the gesture's time value (t). To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method, we conducted an experiment using 20 words in Indonesian Sign Language (SIBI). Twenty representative words were selected for modelling using our R-GB LSTM technique. The results are promising, with an average accuracy of 80% for gesture sentences and an even more impressive accuracy rate of 88.57% for gesture words. We used a confusion matrix to calculate accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity. This study marks a significant leap forward in developing sustainable sign language recognition systems with improved accuracy and practicality. This advancement holds great promise for enhancing communication and accessibility for deaf and hard-of-hearing communities.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakan telah dilaksanakan di Jl. Ranah Asri, RT.59, Keluarahan Batu Ampar, Kecamatan Balikpapan Utara, yaitu salah satu daerah yang memiliki sumber daya alam hayati dan hewani yang melimpah. Warga setempat banyak yang bermatapencaharian sebagai petani dan peternak, salah satunya beternak kambing. Dalam penyedian pakan ternak, warga menggunakan sumber hijauan dari kebun yang dapat berupa daun, batang, ranting, dan berbagai jenis bahan lainnya yang perlu dicacah terlebih dahulu dalam bentuk potongan-potongan kecil. Proses penyedian pakan dalam jumlah besar memerlukan waktu dan tenaga relatif besar sehingga peternak kadang kala tidak dapat memberikan pakan dengan kuantitas yang cukup, dan terartur setiap harinya. Oleh Karena itu, peternak membutuhkan alat berupa mesin pencacah pakan yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ternak mereka, karena produktivitas ternak sangat bergantung pada kecukupan nutrisi yang diperoleh. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk berbagi pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada peternak tentang cara pembuatan mesin pencacah pakan ternak, jenis pakan, dan metode pengawetan pakan. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan cara sosialisasi dan praktek langsung. Seluruh kegiatan berlangsung dengan baik dan diikuti dengan antusias oleh warga, terutama peternak.

Abstract

Identified subsurface composition remains one of the important things in development, such as finds out potential that is below the surface, this research in Institut Teknologi Kalimantan Campus (ITK). This study aims to identify distribute potential values and finds out the source of anomalies in the ITK Campus area. This study uses the Self-Potential method with a fixed-base technique. The data obtained in the form of potential difference (delta V) data, base potential data and measurement point coordinates. The data was corrected by daily base variation, daily correction and reference correction. After obtaining a potential value from the correction at each measurement point, the data processing was done using surfer 11 software. The results of data processing were obtained isopotential contour map and qualitative interpretation which could be seen distribution of potential different values. On the isopotential contour map, slicing of two cross sections selected indicates the source of anomaly. Anomalous potential values of 45 mV to -55 mV indicated anomalous sources namely electrolyte potential in groundwater with positive anomaly values negative up to hundreds of mV. And, there was a potential for a liquid flowwith a positive and negative anomaly ≤ 100 mV

Abstract

Microtremor analysis has been done in the Sepaku Sub-District as a part of the New Capital City of Indonesia. This study aims to determine the characteristics of microtremors in the Sepaku Sub-District using Spectrum Analysis and Time-Frequency Analysis (TFA). Data in this study were taken using a seismometer on the 18 measurement points. The data were processed using default analysis from Geopsy software. Spectrum analysis and TFA used Fourier Transform to change time domain data into the frequency domain. Both analysis ways result in the characteristic microtremor data in the research area. The spectrum analysis data obtained shows two frequency ranges with maximum peaks: middle-frequency (5-8.8 Hz) and high-frequency (11.5-17.6 Hz). Afterward, the TFA shows similar results, where the characteristics of microtremor data are divided into two zones. The maximum peak occurs at the middle-frequency range of 5-10 Hz, and the high frequency ranges above 10 Hz
