Abstract

Abstract

Stunting remains a critical nutritional challenge in Indonesia, contributing to long-term cognitive, economic, and health deficits. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of religious-based peer guidance in improving adolescents' understanding of stunting as a preventive strategy. A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group was employed. The sample consisted of 20 adolescents with low baseline knowledge of stunting, divided equally into an experimental group (receiving religious-based peer guidance) and a control group (receiving conventional peer guidance through discussion only). The stunting understanding scale, developed based on Bloom's Taxonomy, was administered as a pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and the Mann-Whitney U Test. Results indicated that both groups showed significant improvements; however, the experimental group demonstrated a substantially greater increase, moving from moderate to high understanding levels (post-test scores of 90–120), while the control group remained in the moderate range (post-test scores of 60–89). The Mann-Whitney U Test revealed a significant difference between the two groups (p = 0.000), confirming the superior effectiveness of the religious-based approach. These findings suggest that integrating religious values into peer guidance not only enhances cognitive understanding but also reinforces adolescents' internal commitment to stunting prevention. This study contributes a novel, culturally grounded intervention model for counselors and health educators. Abstract

Academic burnout is a psychological condition experienced by students who feel emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausted due to continuous academic demands. This condition may reduce students’ learning motivation, concentration, academic confidence, and involvement in classroom activities. The present study aimed to examine the change in students’ academic burnout after receiving group counseling services using the reframing technique. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were five eleventh-grade students of MA Pertanian Kota Madiun who were identified as having a high level of academic burnout. The subjects were selected through purposive sampling based on initial observation, interviews with the school counselor, and academic burnout scale scores. The instrument used in this study was an academic burnout scale consisting of 25 Likert-type items. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed a decrease in students’ academic burnout scores after the intervention. The mean pretest score was 77, while the mean posttest score decreased to 51.2. The Wilcoxon test showed an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.043, indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. These findings suggest that group counseling with the reframing technique has the potential to reduce students’ academic burnout by helping them develop more adaptive perspectives toward academic demands. However, the results should be interpreted carefully due to the limited number of subjects and the absence of a control group.

Abstract

Dengan demikian, semakin tinggi kontrol diri siswa maka semakin rendah intensitas penggunaan TikTok, sedangkan semakin tinggi konformitas teman sebaya maka semakin tinggi intensitas penggunaan TikTok

Abstract

Stunting is one of the issues that is being focused on by the government. The problem of stunting is a concern and also handled collaboratively with various stakeholder elements. The issue of stunting needs to be introduced to individuals from an early age or before pre-marital age. However, the reality in the field is that there are still many teenagers who do not have sufficient knowledge regarding stunting. This research aims to see the level of students' understanding about stunting. This research uses a quantitative approach, specifically using a survey method. Data sources were obtained from primary sources and analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and also using different tests. The research results show that students' level of understanding about stunting is at a medium level. And the results of different tests to see whether there are differences in the level of understanding between male and female students show trends that are almost the same or there are no significant differences. It is hoped that the results of this research can be used as a basis for related parties in formulating policies to intervene in stunting prevalence.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) in addressing learning difficulties experienced by slow learners in inclusive schools. Using a quantitative experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group, the research involved students identified as slow learners at State Junior High School 4, Magetan. The experimental group received group counseling using the SFBC approach for eight sessions. Data were collected through learning difficulty scales, observations, documentation, and interviews. ANCOVA analysis showed a significant improvement in students' learning abilities after receiving SFBC counseling. The approach helped students recognize their strengths, increase motivation, and develop coping strategies for academic challenges. Findings confirmed that SFBC is effective in enhancing the confidence, concentration, comprehension, and future orientation of slow learners. The integration of this counseling approach contributes to inclusive education by offering a constructive, strength-based intervention model.
