<![CDATA[The purpose of writing this article, namely: (1) describe the effectiveness of library services in the Office of Archives and Library Payakumbuh; (2) describe the obstacles encountered in providing the services and efforts will be made so that the implementation of optimal and effective service. Data were collected by means of observation, interviews with librarians and questionnaire (questionnaire) with user library at the Office of Archives and Library Payakumbuh. The method used is descriptive and quantitative methods. Based on the results of the research, concluded as follows: (1) the effectiveness of library services in the Office of Archives and Library Payakumbuh not gone well, especially in the service retrieval, circulation services, reference services, services periodicals; (2) obstacles encountered in providing services is the lack of infrastructure, policies librarians in providing services to users is not optimal, the collection has not been prepared based classification, borrowing and repayment collections too long; and efforts is to add infrastructure and librarians noticed policies to be taken, the collection should have been prepared based on the classification, borrowing and repayment need not be too long. Keywords: Effectiveness, services, library]]>

<![CDATA[AbstractThis article is about implementations of creative program at Togok community reading park in the city of Padang Panjang. This article aims to: (1) describe implementations of creative program at Togok community reading park in the city of Padang Panjang; (2) describe the trouble of implementations creative program at Togok community reading park in the city of Padang Panjang; and (3) describe the impact implementations of creative program at Togok community reading park in the city of Padang Panjang. The data is collected by observation, interview, and reading the literature. Based on the result of this research the conclutions are. First, the creative program that had been applied are Pondok Baca Togok, Togok Adventure Community, and Surau Adaik Togok. Second, the trouble when applied creative program are: (a) the collection of fable book is very have variation; (b) the promotion can do with the small place; and (c) less of volunteer. The impact of this implementations are: (a) children will be spontaneous to take some book that they want; (b) increase the creativity of children; and (c) increase their courage to stand in front of the public.Keywords: implementations, creative program, community reading park]]>

<![CDATA[Based on the results of the analysis of these data, it can be drawn a conclusion that user attitude towards services provided in library circulation Bung Hatta Bukittinggi, in terms of attitudes towards service consumer of library member registration, loans, returns, billing, as well as sanctions against the delay user the return of library materials that have exceeded the time limit borrowing, the average pemustaka agree with the system of services provided by the library staff Bung Hatta Bukittinggi. Because with the services provided are not burdensome and difficult for any used who came to the service at the library circulation Bung Hatta Bukittinggi. Judging from the attitude towards statistics library that is not on display at the library, user not agree with that. As for the statistics of Bung Hatta Library Bukittinggi, does not meet the standard of a library. The work done by librarians for library circulation service at Bung Hatta Bukittinggi in improving circulation service is to improve the performance of such services librarian at the library membership registration maid service, borrow and return library materials. <![CDATA[This article aims to describe the annotated bibliography as a means of making information searchers search for information on Student Final Program indusri Production Systems and Chemical Engineering, College of Industrial Technology Padang (ATIP) 2012-2013 the existing collection of scientific works in the library that comes with the ATIP inclusion of annotations. Inclusion of annotations in the annotated bibliography aims to help information seekers get a picture, illustration literature required contents. Advantages that are obtained seekers can find out information about the final project. The results of the study stated that the determination of the stage of making a bibliography is a bibliography of titles, in this case to consider is about the availability of a collection, use the collection to the user and what information is most needed by the user or pemustaka. The collection of library materials relating to the collection of things that have successfully traced recorded information about the author, Legal information, physical description or collation as well as additional information or annotation. <![CDATA[Application of information technology in libraries and archives office documentation on padang city. The Papers Library information science courses and archives. Indonesian language and literature majors area. Faculty of language and art.university state of padang. This study discusses the application of information technology in libraries and archives offices documentation in padang city. This study aimed to : describe the utilization of information in libraries and archives offices documentation in padang city, describe te constrain in application of information technology. Data ware collected by means of observation and interviews with librarian. Data analysis is done effectively. Based on data analyst, we can get as follows : the first,application of information technology for librarian in offices documentation in padang City involve ease of information access and collection of interest librarian found easily with application of technology information. Second: observing constraints that occur on libraries and archives office documentation on padang city as follows : (a) a few of unit computer, (b) the facilities are not qualified, (c) librarian are not a expert wear computer so libraria must be get training computer sience and increase sosialisation it for librarian. The result of study suggest the application of information technologi to impove the library is growing over time. <![CDATA[Abstract The purpose of writing this paper is (1) Describe how the librarian's code of ethics is implemented in the Tanah Datar District Public Library; (2) Knowing the relationship between librarians and visitors in the Tanah Datar District Public Library; (3) Describe the relationship between librarians and fellow librarians in the Tanah Datar District Public Library; (4) Knowing the relationship between librarians and their service to libraries in the Tanah Datar District Public Library; (5) Knowing the relationship between librarians working in the Tanah Datar District Public Library and professional organizations; (6) Describe the relationship of librarians working in the Tanah Datar District Public Library with the community in the library. Writing this paper uses descriptive research methods. Data is collected based on interviews with librarians and visitors. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded as follows. First in achieving excellence librarians participate in activities in the library field. Librarians consider decisions professionally by choosing activities about library science. The advantage gained by librarians in serving users is inner satisfaction, lots of acquaintances and motivation to read. Second, librarians serve visitors who come to the library fairly. Scientific works can only be read in the library. Third, librarians achieve excellence in the profession by attending library science training. In establishing relationships with colleagues in the library, a small number of librarians have not been able to establish good relationships with colleagues in the library and question the differences that occur. Fourth, librarians attend training whose knowledge can be utilized for library development. Librarians collaborate with reading parks, and all types of libraries. Fifth, librarians never pay any fees in the library because the activities to be carried out at the library are funded by the local government. Most librarians can distinguish between personal life views and professional needs. Sixth, librarians work with communities in library fields such as literacy tree houses and reading parks established by students. Librarians contribute to the development of culture in the community in the form of a mobile library that can be utilized by the community.Keywords: implementation; librarians; code of ethics. ]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to describe the procurement, processing and forms of serial publications service, as well as the obstacles that cause has not been optimal management of serial publications in the Library of Unand. This research is a qualitative and use descriptive method. The data obtained by direct observation, interview and literature. The study's findings are management of serial publications in Library of Unand not optimal. This is caused by several things, namely: the procurement serial publications is generally sourced from the prize, processing serial publications that has not been good and the search tool is not available, the form of serial publications service a limited, and the problems encountered by the Library of Unand in managing the serial publications includes: (1) insufficient funds and the management of centralized budgeting, (2) the librarian of serial publications is not library educational background, (3) lack of facilities such as a computer that can support the management of serial publications, (4) the head of the library is less motivating his subordinates, (5 ) promotion of serial publications is made less, (6) not timely arrival of publications serial makes that collection be administered up to date for all library users.]]>

<![CDATA[This article discusses Fulfillment pemustaka Information Library and Archives in West Sumatra province. Preparation of this article aims to describe: (1) the type of information needs of the visitors, and (2) the relevance of library materials to the needs of the visitors information. Relevance in the context of this study is defined as suitability, linkage or alignment between the library materials available to the needs of the visitors who use it. Based on analyzing the data summarized as follows: (1) the information needs of the visitors have not been fulfilled to the fullest because library materials are not required to follow the development of information and the latest updates or not. (2). based on the type of the visitors to the information needs of library materials available are less relevant to the information needs of the visitors.
