Abstract

This  study  aimed  to  carry  out  a  SWOT  analysis  and  formulate  marketing strategies  of  processed  apple  products.  Primary  data  were  obtained  from  producers and  consumers.  Producers  were  selected  purposively,  while  consumers  were selected by  accidental  sampling  when  they  bought the  product  at  souvenirs  shops  of Malang. SWOT analysis was used to analyze the data taken from both producers and consumers, as  well  as  to  formulate  marketing  strategies.  The  results  showed  that  in  general  the products of apple chips, porridge and cider have the strength on products, especially in terms  of  taste.  Meanwhile,  the  weaknesses  are  less  durable  products,  however, consumers also do not want any preservatives  added.  Moreover, the opportunities  are the high interest of consumers, many souvenir shops and bank credit offered.  On the other  side,  the  threats  consists  of  unhealthy  business  competition  and  weakness  of consumer purchasing power even though they are interested  in the products. Based on the results of the SWOT  analysis, marketing strategies recommended to  the products  of apple  chips  and  apple  porridge  is  aggressive  strategy,  because  they  are  in  the  first quadrant  of SWOT  diagram.  Apple cider, however,  is  recommended to run a defensive strategy, because this product  is located  in quadrant III  of  the same diagram. Related promotions, various media information such as local television and  internet should be used optimally to promote the  products. Consumers should receive the correct and fare information, so that producers must conduct a responsible business ethics.

Abstract

Permasalahan di bidang pertanian pada era sekarang adalah menurunnya minat petani muda. Permasalahan ini muncul akibat kondisi sosial ekonomi yang menurun, rendahnya tingkat pendidikan, luas lahan pertanian yang menyempit dan adanya pull factor dan push factor.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan minat petani muda di bidang pertanian dan mengetahui pengaruh faktor pendidikan petani muda, pekerjaan orang tua, luas lahan orang tua dan pendapatan orang tua terhadap minat petani muda. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan regresi logistik biner. Hasil menunjukkan minat petani muda untuk bekerja di sektor pertanian sebesar 85% dari 100 responden. Minat petani muda untuk bekerja di sektor pertanian, yaitu sebagai petani penuh waktu dan paruh waktu. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat secara positif adalah luas lahan orang tua dan pendapatan orang tua. Pendidikan petani muda dan pekerjaan orang tua tidak mempengaruhi minat petani muda untuk bekerja di sektor pertanian. Kondisi demikian perlu diadakan sosialisasi tentang pertanian kepada petani muda agar dapat menciptakan pertanian berkelanjutan dan adanya peningkatan jumlah tenaga kerja muda di bidang pertanian. kondisi terkait lahan pertanian yang semakin menyempit diharapkan para petani untuk tidak menjual lahan pertaniannya, tetapi memberikan atau menurunkan kepada keluarga petani. Kondisi lahan pertanian ini akan berdampak pada minat petani muda.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate and analyze: the demographic characteristics, prosperity levels, and factors affecting the prosperity level among the plasma palm oil farmers during the new normal era. This study was conducted in a palm oil plantation area, Kembayan, Sanggau Regency, West Borneo from August to July 2020. Primary data were collected using a questionnaire that directly distributed to the partisipants. The level of prosperity was measured by the prosperous family indicators from the National Population Planning and Family Board and poverty line indicators from the National Statistical Institute. A descriptive quantitative, descriptive qualitative, and multinomial logit regression analysis applied to address the study’s objectives. Findings revealed that 51%, 23%, 17%, 8%, and 1% of the farmer’s family were classified into the prosperous family level III plus, prosperous family level III, prosperous family level II, prosperous family level I, and pre-prosperous family category, respectively. According to poverty line indicators, all farmer’s state of living were placed above the line of poverty. These findings signified that palm oil businesses in the state border area were providing sufficient amount of revenue for the farmers during the new normal era. The variabel of age, total plantation land area, and income were associated with the farmer’s family prosperity level.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate the marketing strategy of Malang apple. The research subjects are traders and farmers of Malang apple in Malang Raya. Meanwhile the primary data was analyzed by the SWOT analysis. The result shows that the strengths of the Malang apple compared to the imported one are fresher, healthier and relatively cheaper, but the weaknesses are the less interesting of the apple’s appearance and purchasing place, and also the less promotion. Meanwhile, the opportunities are the better consumer’s purchasing power and their health motivation, and the increasing of Malang apple demand. However, the threats from the imported apple are the more interesting, the consumers’ prestige motivation, and the increasing number. The marketing strategy of Strength-Opportunity is recommended. The recommendation includes: 1)the implementation of Good Agricultural Practices to increase the total production, higher grade and organic apple; 2)the marketing of organic apple with premium price; 3)keeping the freshness and appearance of Malang apple along the marketing channel; 4)the better display and on-line delivery order of Malang apple to increase its prestige and market segment of young generation; 5)the promotion through internet about the health benefit of Malang apples; 6)a limitation of imported apple number with a quality selection.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income of cut chrysanthemum farming and the effect of the use of chrysanthemum cut production inputs on the risk of chrysanthemum production in Sidomulyo Village, Batu City. This research was carried out during May and June for one time planting at the last harvest in 2018 year. Data collection was obtained through interviews to 34 farmers that taken as a whole (census method). Farm income is analyzed using Economic Analysis while the factors that influence the risk of chrysanthemum production are cut analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis Cobb-Douglass production function model and Just and Pope production function. The results of the analysis show that Chrysanthemum farming income cut profitable and efficientc, seen from the results of the R / C Ratio amounting to 1,90. Production factors significantly affect the productivity of cut chrysanthemums is seeds, chemical fertilizers, and labor while the factors that significantly affect the risk of production is chemical fertilizers.

Abstract

Green consumers muncul sebagai bentuk dukungan konsumen terhadap lingkungan atas kegiatan konsumsi yang dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian yakni  mengidentifikasi sikap konsumen, pilihan kemasan dan perilaku pasca konsumsi dalam pembelian makanan kemasan antar masyarakat pedesaan dan perkotaan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan di wilayah Desa Sidodadi Kecamatan Ngantang dan Kelurahan Tunggulwulung Kecamatan Lowokwaru dengan menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara dan observasi. Sebanyak 80 responden yang memenuhi kriteria (purposive sampling) digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, secara keseluruhan kedua wilayah menunjukkan respon positif terhadap lingkungan. Responden sadar dan paham bahwa kegiatan konsumsi secara tidak langsung akan mempengaruhi lingkungan. Kondisi demikian berarti penerapan ekonomi lingkungan dalam kegiatan ekonomi dapat menjadi solusi untuk mengatasi dampak yang ditimbulkan. Penerapan green consumers dapat menjadi salah satu cara konsumen dalam menunjukkan kepeduliannya terhadap lingkungan. Tindakan tersebut perlu ditunjang oleh produsen hingga pemerintah mulai dari pengembangan produk ramah lingkungan hingga minimisasi limbah.

Abstract

Restaurant is an interesting business, because of the high profits. The high competition between culinary businesses can encourage businesses to reach consumer satisfaction, in order to get their loyalty. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors affecting the consumer satisfaction and loyalty at Langensari Restaurant. Accidental sampling was used to take 76 consumers as the research sample. The Structural Equation Model (SEM) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) were used to analyze the data. The study result shows that consumers visiting Langensari Restaurant were very satisfied with the score of 93,57 percent. It means that the restaurant performance in the form of products, fixed prices, places, and services were fulfill the consumers expectation. Price and place affected customer satisfaction, while product and service did not affect customer satisfaction. Satisfaction had a positive effect on loyalty. The higher the level of cunsomer satisfaction, the higher the loyalty. Products, prices, services, and places also indirectly influence loyalty. Restaurants should improve the performance in terms of products, prices, services, and places. They need to be improve the flavor, price affordability, and toilet cleanliness.

Abstract

Consumer Satisfaction is an assessment of the features of a product or service that provides a level of pleasure to customers related to meeting customer consumption needs. Aqiqah Nurul Hayat has been serving aqiqah services since 2003 and already has more than 30 branches spread throughout Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between price perception, service quality, and product quality to consumer satisfaction with aqiqah Nurul Hayat Malang Branch. The research location is at the office of Nurul Hayat Malang branch on Jl. S. Supriadi No. 7 Sukun. Sampling used the accidental sampling method, the respondents obtained were 73 people. The analytical method used in this study is Spearman's Correlation. The data used are primary data. The results obtained indicate that the perception of price, service quality, and product quality have a relationship with customer satisfaction Aqiqah Nurul Hayat Malang branch. The results of the analysis show that perceived price, service quality, and product quality have a strong relationship with customer satisfaction at the Aqiqah Nurul Hayat Malang branch. The recommendation given is to maintain customer satisfaction by continuing to maintain the quality of both services and products.

Abstract

How farmers are willing to pay bio-activators needs to bestudied. The purposes of this study are to analyze theknowledge and use of bio-activators, as well as thewillingness to pay for bio-activators in rice farming. Theresearch was conducted in Malang Regency, with a sampleof 82 farmers from Ngajum and Gondanglegi Districts. Datawere analyzed by descriptive and multiple linear regression.The results showed that the farmers are aware of one tofour brands of bio-activators, and three of the brands areused by the rice farmers. The benefits of using bioactivators that are mostly perceived by rice farmers arefertilizing the soil and plants, thereby increasing theproduction of rice farming. Willingness to pay for bioactivators is based on the prevailing market price, there isno willingness to pay a premium price. Factors that have apositive effect on willingness to pay are land area andbenefits of bio-activators. The wider the agricultural landowned by the farmer and the greater the perceived benefits,the greater the value of willingness to pay will be. Thisinformation can be taken into consideration formanufacturers of bio-activators as a new introductionbefore being released in the market.
