Abstract

The Tebet city forest, located in the Tebet Barat Village, South Jakarta, is a green open space and is one of the urban forests in the city of Jakarta. The Tebet City Forest as a means of recreation and education is still not functioning correctly, so it is necessary to evaluate the existing facilities in the Tebet City Forest to realize educational tourism. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the state of the facilities in the Tebet City Forest, to provide alternative educational facilities that are suitable to be placed in the Tebet City Forest and to realize a landscape design that makes the Tebet City Forest an urban forest that facilitates educational tourism. This research uses a descriptive-analytical method. Through this method, researchers collect data through primary data and secondary data. The variables of the Tebet urban forest are cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. The results of this study indicate that facilities that can increase knowledge can be in the form of adding Indonesian plants, adding boards containing local names, Latin names, families, origins, and benefits for each tree, and providing community reading garden facilities. Facilities for protecting the environment include trash bins and signs for protecting the environment at every point of activity. Bus stops encourage people to use public transportation, provide bicycle rental and bicycle parking spaces, and provide open lawns and amphitheaters that can be used for various educational activities. Facilities that accommodate physical/physical activities include a children's playground, outdoor fitness, jogging track, multifunctional field, multifunctional plaza, amphitheater, and reflection area. It is necessary to develop and provide facilities that can support educational tourism. The results of this study can be implemented in a program that needs to be poured into the design of the site plan.

Abstract

Bumi Telukjambe Housing, Karawang is a Perumnas (National Housing) area dominated by 21/60 house types. Houses with a limited area and the COVID19 pandemic create boredom and stress for residents because almost all of the resident's time is spent working at home. To minimize the feeling of boredom and stress of residents, efforts are needed to overcome them. Many studies reveal that one way to improve mental health and quality of life is to connect with nature. Healing garden is one way to make it happen. Community Service (Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, PkM) of Department Landscape Architecture will conduct counseling on healing gardens, training on healing gardens on residential yards, and create a design model Healing Garden in public spaces to be used jointly by residents. The benefits felt by residents from PkM activities can be seen from questionnaires distributed to PkM participants, namely representatives of the Family Welfare Guidance Programme (Pembinaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga, PKK) women and RW/RT representative (RW 19’s Chief and RT 04’s Chief). The results of this PkM show that from all the statements answered by the participants, 100% of the participants felt that all the PkM activities they carried out were beneficial.

Abstract

Cibodas Village, Pasir Jambu District, Bandung Regency is an Eco-village that has been fostered through the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education's Grant program. The sustainability of an Eco-village requires the involvement of a healthy local community. One of the efforts implemented through this PkM program is the utilization of Posyandu house yards through planting family medicinal plants (TOGA). The PkM activity aims to provide an example of a TOGA garden design that is beneficial for the local community to be an example in arranging TOGA in their yards. The PkM implementation method begins with a location survey and discussions with representatives of the RW/RT and PKK administrators to obtain an optimal TOGA garden design in the Posyandu RW 04 yard. The implementation was carried out with counseling regarding the design of the TOGA park and the technical construction of it. In addition, to find out the benefits felt from this PkM activity, participants consisting of representatives of RW/RT administrators and PKK administrators were given a pretest and posttest. The pretest results showed that basically the participants already knew TOGA, but did not understand the TOGA arrangement and then the posttest results showed that there was an increase in the participants' understanding of the TOGA garden (100%). However, participants hope to receive assistance in applying garden designs in their yards. Therefore, it is necessary to extend the collaboration between the Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Technology, Universitas Trisakti and the Head of Cibodas Village, which has expired.

Abstract

Eco-park Science Center Cibinong was built in 2003 with the aim of ex-situ plant conservation activities, research, education, recreation, and environmental services. Initially, this area was an agricultural and plantation area belonging to the people. The current conditions at the Eco-park science center are planted with various vegetation according to the diversity of Indonesian ecosystem types based on bioregions. Bioregions are regional zone divisions representing each forest area in Indonesia, such as the Sumatra, Java-Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua/Irian Jaya bioregions. This area is not only used as a place to explore knowledge but also as a recreation area. The recreational area in Ecopark still needs to have adequate facilities. Though many come for recreation, this study aims to apply the concept of educational tourism to the Cibinong Center Eco-park area. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method grounded theory and explorative in the field. After the data is collected, then the data will be processed and classified compared to the study literature. The study results show that the concept of educational tourism, which includes the cognitive domain (understanding, knowledge), is contained in the area constructed wetland, green wall, rain garden, forest tower 1, forest walk, forest tower two, and waste processing. The Affective Domain (related to feelings and attitudes) is contained in the area viewing spots 1, 2, and 3, Plaza 2. Whereas the psychomotor domain (related to movement and involving the limbs) is contained in the area of the forest walk, Promenade 1, 2, and 3 as well Amphitheater.

Abstract

Abstract

Cakung sub-district has the largest population of children aged 0–18 years compared to other sub-districts in East Jakarta. Children need space to play. This space is important for child development. Neighborhood parks developed in residential areas are used as places for children to play. Empirical conditions show that neighborhood parks in Cakung District are not qualified the standard of safe distance from industrial activities. The existence of industrial activities and mobility poses many safety and health hazards for children. With the conditions that occur, neighborhood parks, as open spaces closest to where children live, can still be a place for children to play. This study aims to identify the quality of neighborhood parks around industrial areas in Cakung District based on child-friendly criteria. The method used is scoring analysis with the main assessment parameters related to industrial areas and supporting assessment parameters related to the completeness of child-friendly parks, spatial analysis, and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study, which obtained eight neighborhood parks are not qualified the criteria for being child-friendly using the main research parameters. The parks that are not child-friendly are Taman Metland Menteng, Taman PIK, RPTRA Pulo Indah, Taman Casia, RPTRA Menteng Asri, RPTRA Sangkuriang, Taman Yukayuh Metland, and RPTRA Cakung Timur. Then, for the assessment related to the completeness of the park, the results obtained from the RPTRA-type park already have completeness facilities in accordance with child-friendly criteria, while the non-RPTRA park has inadequate garden completeness. Improving the quality of neighborhood parks around industrial areas can be done with a design approach and adding park facilities.
