Abstract

Daun jawer kotok mengandung minyak atsiri, flavonoid, steroid, tanin dan saponin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri sediaan facial wash ekstrak etanol daun jawer kotok (Coleus atropurpureus (L) Benth)  terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acnes. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian eksperimental laboratorium. Pembuatan sediaan facial wash  gel ekstrak daun jawer kotok (Coleusatropurpureus (L) Benth) dengan variasi konsentrasi F1 10%, F2 12,5%, dan F3 15%. Sediaan facial wash  gel ekstrak daun jawer kotok (Coleusatropurpureus (L) Benth) memenuhi persyaratan mutu secara organoleptis, pH, homogenitas, viskositas, daya busa, daya sebar dan stabilitas. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri sediaan facial wash ekstrak etanol daun jawer kotok (Coleus atropurpureus (L) Benth) menggunakan metode difusi dengan cara kertas cakram terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acnes menghasilkan diameter zona hambat pada F1 10% (7,6 mm), F2 12,5% (10,03), dan F3 15% (11,41). Dapat disimpulkan hasil sediaan gel ekstrak etanol daun jawer kotok pada sediaan F3 memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang paling kuat dan memenuhi persyaratan karakteristik fisik sediaaan.

Abstract

Lip cream is one of the lip coloring cosmetic preparations in the form of a cream with a soft, creamy texture, easy to apply, can moisturize lips. The purpose of making lip cream is to know the formulation of a combination of teak leaf extract and red dragon fruit skin as a natural dye in lip cream preparations, effect of difference in concentration on physical properties test, stability test, and hedonic test. Teak leaves (Tectona grandis Linn., f) and red dragon fruit peel waste (Hylocereus polyrhizus) in extract with 96% etanol solvent and citric acid as color stabilizer. Lip cream combination of teak leaf extract and read dragon fruit skin has never been done before, therefore this research was carried out to increase the range of color variation of lip cream preparations. The concentratiob of teak leaf extract used is formula 1 5%, formula 2 9%, and formula 3 13%. The three formulations are evaluated for testing on organoleptic parameters, homogeneity, pH, smear power, cycling test, and hedonic. The results showed that a combination of teak leaf extract and red dragon fruit bark extract can be formulated as a natural dye in lip cream preparations. The most liked formulation in term of aroma, sensation of lips and color is formula 3 but does not meet the requirements, therefore there needs to be an improvement in formula 3.

Abstract

Tasikmalaya City is included in yellow status for stunting, which is the 5th highest in West Java. One of the areas with the highest stunting cases in the city of Tasikmalaya is the Tamansari Community Health Center with a total of 332 stunted toddlers. The partner in this service activity is UPTD Tamansari Community Health Center. Tamansari Community Health Center UPTD oversees 4 sub-district areas, namely Setiawargi, Mulyasari, Sukahurip and Setiamulya. Mulyasari sub-district is the sub-district with the highest number of short and very short toddlers when compared to other sub-districts. Among them, there are 59 very short toddlers and 273 short toddlers in the Toddler Weighing Month (BPB) February 2023. The aim of this community service is directly to increase the knowledge of certain community groups, namely health nutrition cadres, which in health promotion science are referred to as secondary targets in terms of preventing stunting in toddler. When carrying out activities, the delivery of material is carried out by means of presentations using audio-visual technology and is equipped with the delivery of educational materials. Apart from that, to support activities, demonstrations were held on making tempeh and processing tempeh nuggets as MPASI to prevent and overcome stunting. During the evaluation process, the pre-test results showed a score of 59.2%, indicating that the target did not really understand the prevention and management of stunting. The post-test results showed that 93.8% of cadres' knowledge and awareness increased regarding stunting and the benefits of tempeh as a functional food to prevent stunting.

Abstract

COVID-19 is a disease that attacks the human respiratory system, until now there is no medicine specifically recommended to treat COVID-19, but infected people should still get appropriate treatment to overcome the symptoms of COVID-19. Nsp10 plays an important role in viral transcription. The study aimed to look at the binding value of affinity, hydrogen bonds, and amino acid residues between antiviral compounds and Nsp 10 receptors. The methods used in this study are the molecular docking method using AutodockTools 1.5.6 program, and visualization of docking results using Discovery Studio Visualizer. Antiviral compounds used favipavir, remdesivir, chloroquine, oseltamivir, hydroxychloroquine, ribavirin, umifenovir, lopinavir and ritonavir. The receptors used in this study were 7L6T receptors. The analysis of docking results showed that umifenovir compounds have the lowest binding affinity compared to other antiviral compounds against 7L6T receptors of -6.43 kcal/mol, predictable to have more stable interactions. So that the umifenovir compound can be used as a candidate for COVID-19 treatment.

Abstract

Radikal bebas merupakan suatu kerusakan jaringan yang dapat mengakibatkan timbulnya penyakit seperti penuaan dini. Penuaan dini dapat terjadi karena adanya reaksi yang disebabkan oleh paparan radikal bebas berlebih pada kulit wajah sehingga terjadi penurunan kolagen. Dibutuhkan senyawa antioksidan yang dapat memperlambat dan menghambat kerusakan akibat aktivitas radikal bebas. Kulit jeruk bali (Citrus maxima (Burm.) Merr) memiliki kandungan senyawa kimia yaitu flavonoid dan tanin. Kandungan flavonoid pada kulit jeruk bali tersebut memiliki fungsi sebagai antioksidan alami Face mist merupakan produk perawatan yang dapat menyegarkan kulit wajah, mengangkat sisa minyak dari kulit wajah, dan sekaligus menutupi pori-pori kembali. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan ekstrak kulit jeruk bali sebagai sediaan face mist dengan variasi konsentrasi F0 0%, F1 5%, F2 7%, dan F3 9% dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental laboratorium. Semua formulasi sediaan face mist dievaluasi meliputi organoleptik, pH, daya sebar semprot, waktu kering, viskositas, serta dilakukan uji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan DPPH. Hasil evaluasi semua fisik sediaan face mist  telah memenuhi persyaratan yang telah ditentukan. Berdasarkan kesimpulan ekstrak kulit jeruk bali dapat diformulasikan sebagai produk kosmetik berupa face mist dari berbagai konsentrasi. Aktivitas antioksidan pada konsentrasi 5%, 7%, dan 9% mempunyai nilai IC50 berturut-turut diantaranya 96,279 (kuat), 46,231(sangat kuat), dan 22,390 (sangat kuat) ppm.Free radicals are a tissue damage that can cause diseases such as premature aging. Premature aging can occur due to a reaction caused by exposure to excess free radicals on facial skin resulting in a decrease in collagen. It takes antioxidant compounds that can slow down and inhibit damage caused by free radical activity. Grapefruit peel (Citrus maxima (Burm.) Merr) contains chemical compounds, namely flavonoids and tannins. The content of flavonoids in grapefruit peel has a function as a natural antioxidant. Face mist is a care product that can refresh facial skin, remove excess oil from facial skin, and at the same time cover pores again. This study aims to formulate grapefruit peel extract as a face mist preparation with varying concentrations of F0 0%, F1 5%, F2 7%, and F3 9% using laboratory experimental methods. All face mist preparation formulations were evaluated including organoleptic, pH, spray spreadability, dry time, viscosity, and antioxidant activity tests were carried out using DPPH. The results of the physical evaluation of all face mist preparations have met the specified requirements. Based on the conclusion, grapefruit peel extract can be formulated as a cosmetic product in the form of a face mist of various concentrations. Antioxidant activity at concentrations of 5%, 7% and 9% had IC50 values of 96.279 (strong), 46.231 (very strong), and 22.390 (very strong) ppm respectively

Abstract

Temulawak (Curcuma xanthorriza Roxb.) merupakan tanaman tradisional dengan kandungan utamanya adalah kurkuminoid yang berkhasiat hepatoprotektor. Penyerapan kurkuminoid yang buruk dapat ditingkatkan dengan piperin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efek hepatoprotektor kombinasi rimpang temulawak dengan buah lada hitam dalam bentuk kapsul yang terdiri dari temulawak/lada hitam (1520mg/40mg). Efek hepatoprotektor diuji pada tikus Wistar jantan yang diinduksi kerusakan hati dengan obat TB (isoniazid dan rifampisin). Dua dosis kombinasi yang diuji yaitu ekivalen dengan 2 Kapsul temulawak/lada hitam (TLH1) dan 3 kapsul temulawak/lada hitam (TLH2) masing-masing kombinasi simplisia uji tersebut. Hasil menunjukkan temulawak dan kombinasinya (TLH1 dan TLH2) mulai mencegah kerusakan hati pada pemberian hari ke-14 yang terlihat dari aktivitas ALT. Dilihat dari kadar albumin, temulawak maupun kombinasinya dapat memperbaiki kerusakan hati mulai hari ke-7 pemberian. Secara umum kombinasi lebih berpotensi mencegah dan mengobati kerusakan hati dibandingkan tanpa kombinasi.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder disease. DM presents in two main types 1and 2. Type 2 DM was caused by genetic and lifestyle which was the biggest contributor to DMcases. Many patients with type 2 DM treated with combination therapy using Fix Dose Combination(FDC) preparation to increase patients compliance and therapeutic effect. FDC preparations containedmetformin and glimepiride. Assay of these combination was not found in compendial. A rapid,simple, specific method analysis of metformin and glimepiride has been developed in this riset usingTLC-spectrofluorometry. Metformin and glimepiride content in tablet were determined by the TLC-spectrofluorometry using dansyl chloride as derivatization agent under alkali conditions. In the TLCmethod, metformin and glimepiride were dissolved with methanol and gives Rf values of 0.52 and0.70, respectively in system containing silika gel GF254 as stationary base and methanol:water: glacialasetic acid (6:4:0.25) as developing solvent. TLC results were scraped off and reacted using dansylchloride 0.1% then fluorescence intensity measurements were carried out at emission wavelength 483nm for metformin and 489 nm for glimepiride. Method validation is done by determining linearity,accuracy, precision, Limit Of Detection (LOD) and Limit Of Quantization (LOQ).

Abstract

Paper soap merupakan sabun cuci tangan kertas (Handsoap paper) menjadi salah satu inovasi dari sediaan sabun cuci tangan yang dimodifikasi dengan cara mencampurkan sabun cair pada kertas tipis (water soluble paper) untuk memudahkan dalam pelaksanaan PHBS. Pengembangan teknologi menjadi sediaan sabun kertas (paper soap) dilakukan untuk mencegah bakteri penyebab diare yang diakibatkan oleh Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Campylobacter, dan Shigella. Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) paper soap menjadi teknologi sederhana yang sesuai untuk memudahkan penggunaan sabun cuci tangan bagi masyarakat dan menjawab permasalahan masyarakat untuk mencegah bakteri penyebab diare supaya dapat taat dalam menerapkan PHBS di lingkungan Desa Sukamenak. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah kombinasi antara ceramah, diskusi dan praktik. Pemahaman peserta terhadap materi yang disampaikan menghasilkan peningkatan dengan presentase sebesar 97,5% dilihat hasil pre-test dan post-test. Paper soap is paper hand washing soap which is one of the innovations in preparing hand washing soap which is modified by mixing liquid soap in thin paper (water soluble paper) to make it easier to implement PHBS. The development of technology to produce paper soap was carried out to prevent diarrhea-causing bacteria caused by Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Campylobacter and Shigella. Appropriate Technology paper soap is a simple technology that is suitable to facilitate the use of hand washing soap for the community and answer community problems to prevent bacteria that cause diarrhea so that they can comply with implementing PHBS in the Sukamenak Village environment. The method used in this activity is a combination of lecture, discussion and practice. Participants' understanding of the material presented resulted in an increase in the percentage of 97.5% seen from the pre-test and post-test results.

Abstract

Antioksidan adalah senyawa yang dapat menghambat atau menangkal aktivitas radikal bebas. Daun jambu air digunakan dalam pembuatan sediaan serum wajah karena memiliki aktivitas antioksidan. Serum merupakan salah satu sediaan kosmetik yang mengandung konsentrasi zat yang tinggi dan lebih efektif mengatasi kulit wajah. Konsentrasi ekstrak daun jambu air yang digunakan pada pembuatan serum ini yaitu sebesar 6%, 8%, dan 10%. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak daun jambu air dengan menggunakan metode DPPH. Metode DPPH digunakan untuk menunjukkan kemampuan senyawa antioksidan pada sampel dalam mendonorkan elektronnya. Uji evaluasi sediaan yang dilakukan diantaranya uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji daya sebar, uji pH, dan uji viskositas. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian aktivitas antioksidan dengan menggunakan alat Spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Hasil menunjukkan ketiga formulasi serum wajah ekstrak daun jambu air telah memenuhi persyaratan pada setiap uji evaluasi. Uji aktivitas antioksidan sediaan serum ekstrak daun jambu air formula 1, 2, dan 3 menghasilkan nilai IC50 berturut-turut sebesar 114,62 ppm; 92,97 ppm; dan 41,93 ppm dengan kategori sedang, kuat, dan sangat kuat.
