Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline, internal locus of control, and motivation on the performance of non-civil servant employees at UPTD PJI Kaligending, Kebumen Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 35 respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, with hypothesis testing conducted through t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that partially, work discipline, internal locus of control, and motivation have a positive and significant effect on performance. Simultaneously, the three independent variables also significantly influence employee performance. The coefficient of determination shows that 68.4% of the variance in performance can be explained by the independent variables included in the model, while the remaining 31.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening behavioral, psychological, and motivational aspects in improving employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) regarding the influence of career development on organizational commitment. Based on the analysis of various scientific articles, career development is an important approach in human resource management, which focuses on improving employees’ skills, enthusiasm, and readiness to face job challenges and promotion opportunities. On the other hand, organizational commitment refers to the emotional connection that employees have with their workplace, which includes aspects of emotional attachment, obligation, and enduring bonds. The results of the systematic literature review indicate that many previous studies have found a strong and positive correlation between career development and organizational commitment. Workers who are aware of support for their career development, including training programs, mentoring, or predetermined career paths, generally show a higher level of dedication to their organization. Furthermore, various studies have shown that career development can also have an indirect effect on organizational commitment through mediating factors such as job satisfaction, work motivation, and employee performance. However, several studies have shown that career development does not always have a significant impact on organizational commitment, particularly in organizations without a structured career system or when employees have negative perceptions of career opportunities. These varying results highlight the existence of contextual factors that influence the relationship between variables. Overall, this study offers in-depth insights into the significance of career development as a strategic factor in enhancing organizational commitment, along with suggestions for organizations and future researchers conducting similar studies.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the effects of organizational justice dimensions–distributive, procedural, and interactional justice–on turnover intention, with work stress acting as a mediating variable in the banking sector. Research methodology: A quantitative approach was employed using survey data collected from 134 employees of a rural credit bank in Central Java, Indonesia. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to test both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. Results: The findings revealed that distributive and interactional justice had significant negative effects on turnover intention, whereas procedural justice did not show a direct effect. All three dimensions of organizational justice significantly reduced work stress, which in turn had a positive and significant effect on turnover intention. Mediation analysis confirmed that work stress significantly mediated the relationships between distributive, procedural, and interactional justice and turnover intention. Conclusions: The results indicate that employees’ perceptions of fairness, particularly in outcome distribution and interpersonal treatment, play a critical role in reducing turnover intention, both directly and indirectly, through lower work stress. Limitations: This study is limited by its cross-sectional design and focus on a single rural banking institution in one province, which may restrict the generalizability of its findings. Contributions: This study contributes to the organizational justice literature by empirically demonstrating the mediating role of work stress in the justice–turnover relationship and provides practical insights for human resource management in banking organizations within developing countries.

Abstract

Students will be presented with various types of assignments, both in the form of written work and scientific work or thesis during the process of studying at university. One important part of scientific work is references. The use of references aims to provide sources of information used in writing scientific papers. The use of references is important in scientific work because it provides legitimacy and reliability to the scientific work created. The main aim of this activity is to provide students with skills in managing bibliography with the aim of creating citations and managing libraries automatically, so as to reduce the potential for acts of plagiarism which are often committed by students. The implementation method uses the experiential learning method. The results of this community service activity can help students overcome various challenges related to research literature, including reference or bibliography management, literature analysis, and team collaboration. Using the Mendeley application can make a positive contribution to the quality and efficiency of students' final assignment research, as well as enriching their experience in the academic world.

Abstract

Employee competency is a strategic factor in improving organizational performance. Rapid changes in the business environment, technological advancements, and increasing demands for professionalism require organizations to ensure that their human resources possess adequate knowledge, skills, abilities, and work attitudes. This study aims to analyze the influence of employee competency on performance using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method. Relevant research articles were identified through a systematic process consisting of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and inclusion according to predetermined criteria. The selected studies were then synthesized to evaluate the relationship between competency and employee performance across various organizational contexts. The findings consistently indicate that employee competency has a positive and significant influence on performance improvement. Competency, which encompasses knowledge, technical and interpersonal skills, professional attitudes, and individual characteristics, contributes to enhancing work effectiveness, productivity, service quality, innovation, and the achievement of organizational objectives. Furthermore, organizations that continuously invest in competency development through education, training, and continuous learning programs tend to achieve higher employee performance and stronger organizational competitiveness. This study provides comprehensive evidence that competency development is a fundamental strategy for improving organizational performance and offers practical implications for managers and policymakers in designing sustainable human resource development programs.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically review the influence of FWA on employee performance by considering various mediating and moderating factors that influence the relationship. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach referring to the Kitchenham & Charters (2007) guidelines, the research process includes three main stages: planning, conducting, and reporting. Of the 450 articles identified through the Scopus, Google Scholar, Emerald Insight, and Garuda Dikti databases, 10 articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed in depth using the PRISMA method. The synthesis results indicate that FWA has a positive effect on employee performance, especially when supported by work-life balance and work engagement as mediating variables. Several studies confirm that flexible work schedules and locations can improve employee well-being and work engagement, ultimately impacting productivity. However, the positive effects of FWA are not universal; organizational context, supervisor support, and technological readiness have been shown to be important factors determining its effectiveness. Studies also found that without adequate organizational support, FWA can lead to negative impacts such as social isolation, stress, and decreased job satisfaction. Overall, the results of this study confirm that FWA is a relevant human resource management strategy in the modern work era. Effective FWA implementation requires a balance between flexibility policies and strengthening organizational support systems, technology, and a collaborative work culture. These findings provide theoretical contributions by strengthening understanding of the relationship between FWA and performance, while also providing practical implications for organizations in designing adaptive, productive, and sustainable flexible work policies.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how psychological well-being (PWB) influences employee performance through a Systematic Literature Review approach. By analyzing a range of relevant and open-access studies, this review synthesizes key findings to identify patterns that explain the relationship between psychological well-being and work outcomes. The analysis reveals that PWB is a crucial internal factor shaping productive, stable, and consistent employee behavior. Individuals with higher levels of psychological well-being tend to demonstrate stronger motivation, higher discipline, and better adaptability when facing pressure or organizational changes. Beyond its direct influence, PWB also acts as a connecting variable between other determinants such as job satisfaction, work-life balance, and organizational support and improved performance. Overall, the review highlights that psychological well-being is not merely a personal condition but a strategic resource that significantly contributes to long term organizational productivity. Therefore, enhancing employee well-being should be integrated into human resource management practices as both a preventive measure and a long term capacity building strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of growth mindset on employee performance using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. A growth mindset is understood as the belief that an individual's abilities can continually develop through effort, appropriate strategies, and continuous learning processes. This concept has become increasingly relevant in modern organizational environments that are dynamic and highly competitive, making a deeper understanding of its impact essential for human resource development. The research method involves collecting, selecting, and analyzing scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025 that are directly related to growth mindset and employee performance. The review findings indicate that growth mindset consistently contributes positively to various performance indicators, such as productivity, creativity, resilience in facing challenges, adaptability to change, and work motivation. The results also reveal that variables such as self-efficacy, intrinsic motivation, training, and organizational support may act as mediators or moderators within this relationship. The theoretical and practical implications of this study provide valuable insights for management in designing employee development strategies based on mindset enhancement that support a growth-oriented organizational culture.
