Abstract

Through a systematic synthesis of recent international studies, this article conceptualizes the interconnection between digitalization, sustainability, and the resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), while also outlining prospective research directions related to inclusive and context-sensitive digital transformation models across varied business settings. Employing a systematic literature review (SLR) methodology aligned with PRISMA guidelines, the study critically evaluates contemporary scholarly publications to explore how digital technologies shape sustainable development trajectories and organizational robustness within SMEs. The analysis demonstrates that digital transformation plays a pivotal role in reinforcing SME competitiveness and adaptability, particularly within an environment characterized by globalization pressures and recurrent economic disruptions. More specifically, digital adoption enhances operational efficiency, enables the development of sustainability-driven business models, strengthens supply chain risk management, and promotes deeper customer engagement through improved responsiveness and interaction. Despite these advantages, the review also reveals persistent barriers, including constrained financial and technological resources, internal cultural resistance to change, and substantial deficiencies in digital competencies. Overall, this article offers a conceptual enrichment of existing literature while providing practical insights for business actors, policymakers, and other stakeholders in designing strategic initiatives aimed at reinforcing the long-term competitiveness and resilience of the SME sector.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the representation of a mother's struggle in the film Nowhere using the semiotic approach of Charles Sanders Peirce. The film portrays a mother's survival journey with her child under life-threatening and challenging conditions. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with semiotic analysis based on Peirce’s triadic theory of signs: Representamen, Objeks dan Interpretan. The findings reveal that through the use of visual and narrative signs, Nowhere represents the mother as a strong, self-sacrificing, and resilient figure determined to protect her child. Indexes such as body gestures and extreme actions convey deep love and maternal responsibility. Meanwhile, symbols embedded in dialogues and plotlines reinforce the themes of struggle and resilience. The study concludes that Nowhere effectively constructs a heroic narrative of a mother through the use of semiotic structures.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in supporting Indonesia's economic stability and growth, yet this sector faces serious challenges due to increasingly complex global and domestic economic uncertainties. In this context, understanding effective management strategies is crucial for MSMEs seeking to upgrade—that is, to transform into more structured, competitive business entities. This study aims to identify and synthesize the management strategies employed by MSMEs in responding to uncertain economic dynamics. Using a systematic literature review approach, this research analyzes 25 relevant open-access scholarly articles published over the past five years, thematically organized based on Porter's generic strategy framework, business resilience theory, and the MSME growth-stage model. The findings reveal that the primary strategies adopted by MSMEs include product differentiation, business process digitalization, and cross-sector collaboration through training, business incubation, and community partnerships. These approaches significantly contribute to enhancing the adaptive capacity and competitiveness of MSMEs amid economic pressures. This article offers conceptual contributions by integrating strategic management theory with the local MSME context in Indonesia, while also providing practical recommendations for policymakers and business practitioners to strengthen systemic and sustainable MSME development models moving forward.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the organizational communication patterns between leaders and employees in the Planning Bureau of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. The communication patterns identified include the Wheel Pattern, Y Pattern, Chain Pattern, and All-Channel Pattern. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with observation and interviews as data collection techniques. The data obtained were then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques to obtain a clear picture of the communication patterns implemented in the organization. The results show that organizational communication in the Planning Bureau of the Ministry of Trade is effective with the application of various communication patterns. The Wheel Pattern is used to channel information from the leader to the team leader, who then conveys it to the staff. The Y Pattern shows a clear communication hierarchy, while the Chain Pattern represents horizontal communication that allows information dissemination among individuals in equivalent positions. The All-Channel Pattern is used to maintain communication synergy among all elements within the organization, both formally and informally. However, there are several obstacles in the application of these communication patterns that may reduce the optimal flow of information and employee motivation. Therefore, increasing the effectiveness of communication within the organization is necessary to support the welfare and productivity of the company.

And from humanizing a mother comes her love and affection throughout the masses. Using qualitative methods, this research involves observing films to identify the soul of a mother in her love for humans, both for her children and the people she cares about. This research is very, very important in upholding a mother's love which is not reciprocated by money, in fact mother's love conquers everything and cannot be replaced if mother's love in humanizing humans if one day is gone.

Abstract

Film is a type of work of art that has extraordinary appeal to people throughout the world. Apart from being entertainment, films also function to convey stories, messages and emotions to the audience. This research examines the film YOLO (2024) which raises the issue of body shaming, especially towards individuals with larger body sizes. Body shaming is a social phenomenon that often gives rise to stigma and discrimination and creates a deep negative impact on the mental and emotional health of the individual who is the victim. This research aims to analyze scenes that contain symbolic meaning that reflect negative attitudes and behavior towards the individual, which often causes discomfort and decreased self-confidence in the victim. Using qualitative methods and using a critical paradigm with John Fiske's semiotic analysis, this research involves rare – systematic steps such as film observation, identification of body shaming issues through coding data scenes, and data reduction to focus on related aspects. The research results showed that body shaming behavior depicted in the film caused feelings of discomfort and low self-confidence, thus affecting the victim's ability to socialize and interact with other people around them. This research emphasizes the importance of rejecting such behavior and encouraging inclusive attitudes towards body diversity.
