Indonesian students on 23 September 2019 then showed forms of opposition to the RKUHP and the Revision of the KPK Law. They show this through the appeals written on the poster during the demonstration. One of the locations that became a meeting point in Gejayan, which is famous for #gejayanmemmon. The purpose of this study is to study how members of the media publish and carry out the commodification of the evaluation measures. The method used in this research is content analysis. Researchers collected some of the content produced by students and posted on the online news web. from the content, then the study conducted an analysis using public spectacle theory from Guy Debord and the commodification of Vincent Mosco. The results of this study indicate that the media are taking advantage of this action by making their action a spectacle for the public. That way the media can get success from the demonstration with a fairly low economic capital, because all the content of the demonstration that has been done has spread through social media. Enough media to sample the content available on social media.

The limitations of movement and a lot of free time during the pandemic have an impact on each individual's media consumption. the need for news or new information in various regions makes individuals more intense in surfing various online news media. Thus, everyone's online media consumption has changed and led to new trends during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to find out how the consumption of news from Ikatan Pelajar Riau Yogyakarta Komisariat Bengkalis (IPRY-KB) through online media on local news in Yogyakarta during the Covid-19 pandemic based on the media used, the duration when consuming it, to the news content that is often consumed. This research uses dependency theory, qualitative method, and purposive sampling technique by selecting 5 IPRY-KB students as informants. The results showed that IPRY-KB students' media consumption regarding local news in Yogyakarta during the Covid-19 pandemic; first, the media used are online media on a national scale and local media in Yogyakarta; second, the duration used to access news is 5 to 20 minutes; third, news about Covid-19 is the most frequently accessed and consumed topic. Reporting in online media is considered more convenient for IPRY-KB students so that they choose information sources from online media. The use of online media has also become part of the millennial generation's culture that wants fast-paced, including getting information.

Nowadays, advertising is not merely having urgency as a means of promotion of commodities, but it has become the commodity itself that is worth selling to get a lot of financial profit. The concentration of advertisers turns into a commodity that sells (commodification). Advertising is a strategic pillar to be utilized by producers, including for producers of telecommunications service providers, Telkomsel. This research aims to uncover the significance of the commodification of Ramadan & Covid-19 in "Terus Jalankan Kebaikan" edition of Telkomsel ads. In this research used a critical paradigm, qualitative approach, and the Semiotics method of Charles Sander Pierce. The object of this research is the "Terus Jalankan Kebaikan" edition of Telkomsel ads in one minute duration. The results showed Telkomsel's advertisement "Terus Jalankan Kebaikan" has carried out the commodification of Muslim activities during Ramadan and the condition of Covid-19. This is demonstrated by the visualization of sending gifts, maintaining the relationship with the video call quota, beneficial to learn to read Al-Qur’an, access a seven-minute lecture video as part of running Ngabuburit Ramadan with the quota of streaming, online shopping in Telkomsel to share to the people in need, and do donation activities using the donation Tukar POIN feature. Meanwhile, we saw in Telkomsel advertisement that with a stable and strong Internet network, the need to gather with family can run smoothly and can run common good activities. The human goodness and need activities for social interaction are important points that are packaged in the advertisement.

BPPTKG Yogyakarta bertugas memberikan informasi mengenai aktivitas Merapi.Keterbukaan informasi menjadi aspek dalam keberhasilan mitigasi bencana erupsi Merapi.Penelitian ini menggunakan contigency theory dan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Peneliti melihatproduksi informasi BPPTKG berfokus di media center. Media center memiliki tiga divisi, yaituclearing house, content production, dan buzzer. Tugas mereka adalah mengonstruksi informasiuntuk masyarakat agar informasi yang disebarkan mudah dipahami. Hasil penelitian ini jugamelihat bahwa BPPTKG telah menjadi institusi kebencanaan yang memiliki keterbukaan informasi.Namun demikian, hal tersebut kurang didukung dengan adanya kebijakan internal mengenaiketerbukaan informasi terkait produksi konten media sosial.

Abstrak Objektif. Perkembangan teknologi memunculkan adanya platform game streaming seperti Nimo TV. Kehadiran platform tersebut juga memicu munculnya kelas prekariat di industri broadcasting dan game. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sistem komunikasi yang berjalan dalam siaran game streaming di Nimo TV. Selain itu juga untuk mengetahui sistem kerja dari kelas prekariat dalam industri game streaming. Material and Metode. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Obyek dalam penelitian ini adalah platform Nimo TV. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa purposive sampling yang berfokus pada akun Nimo TV Littlehope. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan data yang didapatkan, peneliti melakukan analisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dan semiotika model Peirce. Hasil. Dalam teori sistem komunikasi, Nimo TV memanfaatkan fasilitas berupa komunikasi timbal balik. Antara streamer dan penonton dapat saling berkomunikasi. Komunikasi tersebut di fasilitasi dengan kolom komentar. Bahkan untuk membuat interaksi sosial terasa nyata, Nimo TV juga menyediakan fasilitas berupa pemberian penghargaan. Meski begitu, secara bersamaan Nimo TV juga memunculkan isu sosial berupa kerentanan terhadap para streamer. Para streamer kemudian masuk dalam kategori precariat. Kesimpulan. Platform Nimo TV memberikan fasilitas kepada pengguna untuk berkomunikasi dua arah, antara streamer dan penonton. Akan tetapi dibalik itu, Nimo TV juga memunculkan isu sosial baru berupa pekerja preakriat. Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya dapat berfokus pada ekonomi politik live streaming yang dikembangkan oleh media baru. Abstrack Objective. Technological developments have led to streaming game platforms such as Nimo TV. The presence of the platform also triggered the emergence of precariat classes in the broadcasting and gaming industries. The purpose of this study was to determine the communication system that runs in streaming game broadcasts on Nimo TV. Besides, it is also to find out the working order of precariat classes in the streaming game industry. Materials and Methods. The method used in this research is qualitative. The object of this research is the Nimo TV platform. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling, which focuses on the Nimo TV Little hope account. Data collection techniques used were observation and documentation. Based on the data obtained, the researchers conducted an analysis using descriptive analysis techniques and the Peirce model semiotics. Results In the communication system theory, Nimo TV utilizes the facilities in the form of reciprocal communication. Between streamers and viewers can communicate with each other. This communication is facilitated by a comment column. Even to make social interactions feel real, Nimo TV also provides facilities in the form of awards. Even so, simultaneously, Nimo TV also raises social issues in the way of vulnerability to streamers. Streamers are then included in the precariat category. Conclusion. The Nimo TV platform provides facilities for users to communicate both ways, between streamers and viewers. But behind that, Nimo TV also raises new social issues in the form of precariat workers. Suggestions for further research can focus on the political economy of live streaming developed by new media.

Cosplay telah menjadi budaya populer yang melekat dalam kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia, khususnya bagi kalangan muda. Politik identitas yang muncul di sini memiliki keterkaitan dengan isu gender di masyarakat. Hal ini juga semakin diperluas dengan hadirnya Youtube dan Instagram untuk menunjukkan eksistensi dirinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Peneliti mengambil sampel berupa empat video dari Youtube serta postingan dari Instagram guna memperkuat pembahasan tentang fenomena crossdresser. Hasil dari penelitian ini melihat bahwa meski seorang individu telah melakukan crossdresser, mereka tidak seutuhnya berperan sebagai perempuan. Mereka masih menunjukkan dirinya sebagai laki-laki, terutama ketika menampilkan dirinya di Youtube. Selain itu, ketika secara pribadi menampilkan dirinya di Instagram, seorang cosplayer lebih dapat mengekspresikan dirinya dengan leluasa.

Muslim women who were initially seen as women who focused on religion, in this film showed that Muslim women are also capable of being an academic and have other activities that tend to be done by men. This study aims to determine how the identity of modern Muslim women is shown through film media. This research uses Roland Barthes semiotic analysis method. This semiotic analysis focuses on reading texts through the stages of reading denotative meanings, connotative meanings, and then connecting with myths in analyzing the signs that are shown through scenes in the film. The results of this study indicate that Muslim women played by Fisya presented that women have the freedom to choose fashion and activity. Muslim women's fashion shown through the character Fisya is adjusted through the activities she does, thus showing that Muslim women's fashion can adjust to the situation. In addition, the activity also shows that Muslim women also have the freedom to determine what they want, starting in terms of academics and hobbies.

Consumer culture formed in society cannot be separated from the role of advertising. With the new media, advertising modes have also evolved. One of them is advertising done through social media Instagram in the form of digital comics. Instagram accounts that utilize digital comic content to produce advertisements are @jukihoki and @ghosty_comic. This research focuses on the discussion of digital comic advertisements, specifically those with the theme of Royale Pass Season 12 PUBG Mobile. The theory used in this study is the psychoanalysis of Sigmund Freud and the political economy of social media in the perspective of Christian Fuchs. The purpose of this study is to determine the grammar connection in digital comic advertisements, the process of advertising the entry of advertisements into the minds of consumers that encourage them to consume, and the practice of political economy social media carried out on Instagram. This study uses qualitative methods with a critical paradigm. In addition, the analysis technique used is the analysis of Charles S. Peirce's semiotics model which focuses on the typology of iconic signs. The results of this study see that digital comics that advertise Royale Pass Season 12 from PUBG Mobile contain social class issues. The issue is put to good use to produce advertisements, it can even encourage consumer psychology to consume the products offered. Even so, in the production of these advertisements there are also elements of political economy social media that are piled up.

Downy Premium Parfum is one of the advertisements that presents the figure of a Muslim woman. The advertise-ment presents Laudya Cynthia Bella as an actress who plays a muslim woman. This study uses representation theory to present the figure of Muslim women in social space. The purpose of this research is to determine the meaning formation process that occurs in Downy Premium Parfum advertisements in constructing the image of muslim women. This research uses a qualitative method with semiotic analysis techniques by Roland Barthes. The results of this study found that the Downy Premium Parfum advertisement tried to represent the fragrance through visual flowers. This flower sign is then attached to the actor to strengthen the image of Muslim women in the social space. In the end, the advertisement stated that women could appear on a par with men in the social space, namely the workspace.
