Abstract

This study examines efforts to build cultural awareness among young people through tambua and dance training in Koto Panjang. Traditional arts, particularly tambua and Minangkabau dance, play a vital role as community identity and symbols of regional glory. The preservation and regeneration of these arts require strategic interventions to transfer cultural values to the younger generation. A descriptive qualitative research method was used with a participatory observation approach and literature review to analyze the training process. Data were collected through direct observation during the Community Service Program (KKN) and a review of relevant literature. The results showed that the structured training model, encompassing history, philosophy, techniques, and simulations of traditional performances, was effective in engaging young people in Koto Panjang. This training not only improved participants' technical skills in tambua playing and dancing but also fostered a deeper understanding of Minangkabau cultural values such as mutual cooperation and discipline. Identified positive impacts include increased self-confidence, sustainable cultural regeneration, increased social participation, and contributions to the local economy through cultural tourism. This training serves as a powerful model for preserving cultural heritage and empowering young people as agents of tradition.

Abstract

SMKN 1 Koto XI Tarusan memiliki akreditasi B dan berdasarkan hasil akreditasi yang telah dilakukan ditemukan: (1) Mutu Guru dalam kategori rendah, hal ini terlihat dari kurangnya kesempatan guru dalam melakukan pengembangan diri untuk mengikuti berbagai Workshop (2) Media ajar pada program studi TKR dan TSM dari segi kuantitas dan jenis masih kurang terutama terkait dengan sistem pengapian sepeda motor. Solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah memberikan pelatihan kepada guru-guru dalam pembuatan media ajar mata diklat produktif. Worskhop yang diberikan melalui program Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM), selain meningkatkan kompetensi guru juga menghasilkan produk media ajar berupa Simulator Sistem Pengapian Sepeda Motor. Pelatihan ini menggunakan metode ceramah, demonstrasi, dan praktek langsung. Luaran yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini 2 unit Simulator Sistem Pengapian Sepeda Motor. Dampak dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam merancang dan membuat media pembelajaran yang real dan kreatif.

Abstract

Background: Kegiatan pelatihan teknologi Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) di SMK Negeri 1 Ampek Nagari dirancang untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan siswa dalam memahami, mendiagnosis, serta mengoperasikan sistem EFI pada kendaraan modern. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memperkuat kemampuan teknis dan kesiapan peserta terhadap tuntutan industri otomotif masa kini. Metode: Diikuti 30 peserta melalui ceramah, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, serta evaluasi pre-test dan post-test. Materi mencakup prinsip dasar EFI, fungsi komponen, perawatan, dan diagnostik menggunakan Smart Trainer Hasil: Evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan peserta, dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 56,07 pada pre-test menjadi 85,11 pada post-test. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi guru dan siswa, memperkuat penerapan teknologi EFI dalam pembelajaran vokasi, serta menjadi langkah strategis dalam memperkuat kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi dan SMK untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan kejuruan di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the academic challenges faced by final-year students, particularly in the thesis writing process, which significantly contributes to delayed graduation and suboptimal academic achievement. The research aims to explore the obstacles encountered by students of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program at Universitas Negeri Padang in thesis preparation, as well as to identify solution-oriented efforts by both students and the department. A qualitative approach was adopted using a case study design, involving ten participants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s thematic analysis model. The findings reveal that the main barriers include difficulties in selecting a thesis topic, lack of motivation, challenges in academic supervision, low academic literacy, and social environmental influences. In response, students employed self-initiated strategies such as creating study schedules and actively sourcing literature, while the study program provided support through academic guidance and simplified administrative procedures. These findings reinforce the theory of self-regulated learning, which emphasizes the importance of autonomy and self-management in academic processes. The study concludes that a holistic approach, integrating students’ internal efforts with institutional academic policies is essential to accelerate degree completion. The implications include strengthening the academic literature on final-year student challenges and offering recommendations for developing adaptive mentoring systems in higher education.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the fact that out of 60 students at Musala Nurul Hidayah Lubuk Agung, 40 students, including those in third, fourth, and even sixth grade of elementary school, still have not memorized the prayer recitations. The objective of the study is to improve students’ memorization skills of prayer recitations through the application of the drill method and PowerPoint media. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using a qualitative approach, conducted over two cycles, each consisting of two sessions. Data were collected through memorization tests of prayer recitations involving all students. The results indicate a significant increase from the initial (pre-cycle) condition of 56%, to 73.5% in the first cycle, and further to 93.1% in the second cycle. This improvement shows that students’ memorization skills of prayer recitations had reached a good category by the end of the second cycle. These findings support the hypothesis that using the drill method and PowerPoint media is effective in enhancing the ability to memorize prayer recitations. This study provides practical contributions for educators in selecting appropriate teaching strategies and serves as a basis for further research focusing on different contexts or variables.

Abstract

The limited number of studies on the effectiveness of innovative methods for accelerating Qur’anic memorization underlies this research, despite the phenomenon's significant implications for the quality of tahfiz education in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the effect of the QuantuMaky method on the acceleration of Qur’anic memorization among students at Rumah Tahfiz Mafaza Tangerang. Employing a quantitative approach with a survey method, the study involved 82 respondents determined using Slovin’s formula from a population of 450 students. The primary instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire, and data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.476, indicating that 47.6% of memorization acceleration is influenced by the application of the QuantuMaky method. The t-test yielded a calculated t value (8.517) greater than the critical value (1.664) at a significance level of < 0.05, confirming a positive and significant effect of the QuantuMaky method on memorization speed. The study concludes that the QuantuMaky method is effective in enhancing the quality and speed of Qur’anic memorization. The implications of these findings include a theoretical contribution to the literature on modern tahfiz methods and practical recommendations for Islamic educational institutions to integrate this method into their curricula. This study also opens avenues for further exploration into long-term retention and the psychological aspects of memorization among students.

Abstract

Moral education plays a strategic role in shaping students' character; however, SMA Negeri 6 Pariaman still faces moral crises such as bullying and a lack of empathy among students. This phenomenon reflects an educational orientation that prioritizes cognitive and physical aspects, while character development receives less proportional attention. This study aims to examine the planning, implementation, and evaluation of moral education at SMA Negeri 6 Pariaman, as well as to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through participatory observation, structured interviews with the principal, vice principal, guidance and counseling teachers, and Islamic Education (PAI) teachers, as well as document analysis. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validation ensured through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The findings show that moral education planning is carried out through integration into PAI subjects, extracurricular activities (such as tahfidz), and special programs such as Pesantren Ramadhan, religious seminars, and wirid remaja. Its implementation includes classroom instruction, habituation of positive behavior (6S, cleanliness, discipline), teacher role modeling, and reinforcement through special programs. Evaluation is conducted through daily, mid-semester, and end-of-semester assessments, as well as evaluations of extracurricular activities, all of which show positive contributions to students’ moral development. These findings indicate that the implementation of moral education at SMA Negeri 6 Pariaman is carried out comprehensively through structured and continuous approaches. The study highlights the importance of strengthening student character development strategies and enhancing collaboration among schools, teachers, students, and parents in nurturing morally upright individuals.

Abstract

Social awareness is a critical component in the character formation of students and should be instilled from an early age. This study aims to describe the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in educating, guiding, and directing students at SMPN 1 Bayang concerning the importance of social awareness. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological method was employed, using data collection techniques that included observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that PAI teachers play a role in three key aspects. First, the educational aspect involves teaching social values such as responsibility, honesty, tolerance, empathy, justice, and sharing, as well as delivering exemplary narratives centered on social values. Second, the guiding aspect is implemented through case studies, simulations, social activities, the creation of inclusive classroom environments, direct role modeling, and value-based social counseling grounded in Islamic principles. Third, the directing aspect is realized by encouraging student participation in social initiatives such as community service, infak on Fridays, religious activities during Ramadan, and collective extracurricular programs. These findings indicate that PAI teachers have a strategic contribution to developing students' social awareness through a holistic and practical approach within the context of secondary education.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the transformative application of gamified platforms such as Quizizz as active learning media in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). To date, Quizizz has primarily been used as an assessment tool rather than as a medium for delivering content in a structured and progressive manner. The objective of this research is to develop a transformative model for using Quizizz as an informative, interactive, and meaningful instructional medium within the context of Islamic values. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), though it was limited to the design stage. The development results show that two instructional models sequential delivery and holistic delivery were successfully designed based on the ADDIE instructional design framework and an analysis of digital-native learners’ needs. The developed media were validated by content and media experts and deemed “feasible with revisions.” The study concludes that Quizizz can be transformed into a relevant and engaging learning medium for PAI by integrating visual, interactive, and Islamic value components. The implications of this research include contributions to the literature on gamification-based digital learning in PAI and the provision of alternative interactive media aligned with the characteristics of Generation Alpha.

Abstract

Tingginya angka kejahatan pencurian kotak amal di masjid, yang umumnya diakibatkan oleh penggunaan sistem keamanan konvensional seperti gembok, menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun purwarupa (prototype) sistem keamanan kotak amal cerdas berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang mampu mendeteksi upaya pembobolan secara real-time dan memberikan peringatan dini kepada pihak keamanan melalui aplikasi Telegram. Sistem ini dikembangkan menggunakan metode Waterfall dan menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 sebagai pusat kendali utama. Sebagai media autentikasi untuk membuka dan menutup kotak amal (penggerak Solenoid Doorlock), sistem memanfaatkan pembaca Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) dan Keypad Matrix 4x4. Selain itu, sistem dibekali dengan sensor getar SW-11810P untuk mendeteksi getaran atau paksaan fisik pada kotak amal, serta ESP32-CAM untuk mendokumentasikan kejadian. Untuk indikator keluaran lokal, sistem menggunakan LCD 16x2, Buzzer, dan Speaker yang dikendalikan melalui modul DFPlayer. Hasil pengujian perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak menunjukkan bahwa sistem terintegrasi dengan baik. Sensor RFID terbukti dapat membaca kartu pada jarak maksimal 2 cm dan mampu membedakan kartu yang terdaftar dengan yang tidak terdaftar. Modul keypad juga beroperasi normal dalam memproses kata sandi. Ketika sensor getar mendeteksi anomali getaran, sistem secara otomatis akan memicu alarm bunyi secara lokal dan memerintahkan ESP32-CAM untuk mengambil foto. Foto kejadian tersebut kemudian dikirimkan secara real-time ke ponsel pengurus atau pihak keamanan melalui Bot Telegram. Secara keseluruhan, rancang bangun ini berhasil menciptakan sistem keamanan kotak amal yang interaktif dan responsif terhadap tindak kejahatan.
