Abstract

[Bahasa]: Pandemi COVID-19 memaksa pelaksanaan pembelajaran anak sekolah dilakukan secara daring (online). Hal ini berdampak pada munculnya permasalahan seperti kejenuhan siswa, gangguan mood siswa, psikosomatis yang diawali dari rasa cemas/gelisah, stres hingga depresi, kurang gerak pada siswa, dan kecenderungan makan berlebihan. Dibutuhkan peran orang tua untuk membantu siswa mengatasi permasalah tersebut. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi kepada orang tua siswa mengenai pemenuhan gizi seimbang dan kesehatan mental pada anak sekolah selama pembelajaran daring. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Focuss Group Discussion (FGD) untuk menggali permasalahan siswa dan edukasi penguatan peran orang tua dalam pemenuhan gizi dan kesehatan mental anak. Hasil FGD digunakan sebagai dasar penyusunan dua modul yaitu modul tips pemenuhan gizi seimbang dan modul pemenuhan kesehatan mental anak. Kegiatan edukasi diawali dengan pemberian pretest dan diakhiri dengan pemberian posttest kepada orang tua siswa. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan orang tua siswa mengenai gizi seimbang dan kesehatan mental anak sebesar 54,5%. Orang tua siswa antusias dan terlibat aktif dalam diskusi selama edukasi berlangsung. Kegiatan edukasi ini ditindaklanjuti dengan pembentukan group Whatsapp sebagai upaya untuk mengontrol agar kegiatan terus berkesinambungan. Kata Kunci: COVID-19, gizi seimbang, kesehatan mental, peran orang tua [English]: COVID-19 pandemic made students do online learning, which resulted in the emergence of problems, such as students’ boredom, mood disorders, psychosomatic starting from anxiety, stress to depression, lack of movement, and the tendency of overeating. It takes the role of parents to help students overcome these problems. The purpose of this community service program was to provide education to parents regarding the fulfillment of balanced nutrition and mental health in school children during online learning. The method used in this program was Focus Group Discussions (FGD) to explore student problems and strengthen the role of parents in fulfilling children's nutrition and mental health. The results of the FGD were used for compiling two modules, namely the tips for fulfilling balanced nutrition and children's mental health. The education program was carried out by administering a pre-test and a post-test. This program showed an increase in the knowledge of parents by 54.5%. During the educational session, the parents were enthusiastic and actively involved in discussions. Then it was followed up with a Whatsapp group as an effort to keep the program sustainable. Abstract

Caregivers and supervisors of UPTD KANRI Surabaya need to understand how the principles of caring to foster children. This study aims to see the effectiveness of positive parenting psychoeducation to increasing understanding of positive parenting. This research used quantitative experimental method by applying the one-group pretest-posttest design with a total of 9 caregivers & supervisors as subjects. The results show that this program is effective in increasing the subject s understanding of positive parenting. The increase can be seen from the difference in pretest & posttest scores and qualitative data. That knowledge will help subject to providing care to foster children.

Abstract

Kasus perceraian tidak memberikan dampak pada pihak yang bercerai saja, namun juga bagi anak-anak mereka. Peristiwa perceraian orang tua pasti memberikan dampak bagi remaja yang berpotensi memberikan dampak pada kehidupan sosial mereka. Peneliti ingin mengetahui lebih dalam bagaimana kemampuan remaja dari orang tua yang bercerai dalam berhubungan dengan orang lain melalui bagaimana kemampuan interpersonal remaja untuk berhubungan dengan orang lain. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Partisipan dalam penelitian merupakan remaja dari orang tua yang bercerai yang ditentukan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Teknik penggalian data yang digunakan peneliti adalah menggunakan wawancara dengan jenis semistandardized interview. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah theory driven. Teknik pemantapan kredibilitas yang digunakan peneliti adalah triangulasi data dimana peneliti akan melakukan wawancara lebih dari satu partisipan dan significant other. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa remaja dari orang tua yang bercerai mampu untuk berhubungan baik dengan orang lain, walaupun partisipan masih merasakan dampak dari perceraian orang tua. kemampuan tersebut ditunjukan dengan terpenuhinya lebih dari setengah dimensi kompetensi interpersonal. Remaja dapat melalui dinamika perceraian orang tua dengan baik, sehingga kemampuan interpersonal mereka tetap baik.

Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to determine the effect of psychoeducation regarding drug abuse on participants, namely students of the Muhammadiyah Gayungan Orphanage. Methods: This study used a psychoeducation program in the form of interactive talk shows and psychoeducational video summaries about drug abuse at the Muhammadiyah Gayungan Orphanage. The target participants of this study were 11 children at the Muhammadiyah Gayungan Orphanage. This study used a pretest-posttest design with one group of participants. The data analysis technique used was the independent sample t-test. Results: With a mean difference score of 30.9, providing psychoeducation had a significant effect on increasing adolescent knowledge on drug abuse at Muhammadiyah Gayungan Orphanage (t(11) = 5.49, p = <.001, Cohen's d = 1.65). Conclusion: Psychoeducation regarding drug abuse proved to have a significant effect on the understanding of children at the Muhammadiyah Gayungan Orphanage regarding knowledge of drug abuse.  KEYWORDS adolescent; drug abuse; psychoeducation.

Abstract

Anxiety about finding a life partner can be interpreted as a feeling of fear that early adult women experience when they find that they do not yet have a partner. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between self-esteem and choice of life partner in early adult women. This research was conducted on early adult women aged 18-40 years who did not have a partner or were not married with a total of 49 subjects. Data collection was carried out using a self-esteem scale and an anxiety scale. The data analysis was carried out using the parametric Pearson correlation test using SPSS. From the results of data analysis, a significance value of 0.002 was obtained, which is less than 0.05. And the resulting Pearson Correlation coefficient value is 0.252, which indicates the direction of the correlation is positive. This shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-esteem and anxiety. This means that the higher the level of self-esteem, the higher the level of anxiety, and vice versa, the lower the level of self-esteem, the lower the anxiety value.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the healthcare sector, particularly among healthcare professionals, such as nurses. Many nurses have experienced psychological distress during the pandemic. Psychological distress itself is closely related to how a person makes coping efforts. Therefore, this study aimed to see the relationship between coping strategies (problem-focused, emotion-focused, and dysfunctional coping) and psychological distress in nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The participants in this quantitative study were 48 nurses who are currently or have previously worked in handling COVID-19 cases. The measurement tools utilized were the Brief-COPE for assessing coping strategies and the General Health Questionnaire-12 for measuring psychological distress The results of correlation test analysis revealed that there is no significant relationship between coping strategies and psychological distress in nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Sexual trafficking is one of the scariest living conditions and is often a traumatic experience for victims who experience it. The traumatic experiences experienced by victims of sexual trafficking often lead to long-term trauma and lead to a variety of mental disorders. The purpose of writing this article is to explain how trauma faced by victims of sexual trafficking and the handling of trauma that can be given to victims of sexual trafficking. This article is based on a literature review and research journal accessed from the official websites of Google Scholar, Science Direct, Research Gate, and SAGE Publisher. A literature review revealed that there are many impacts experienced by victims of sexual trafficking. These impacts include physical impacts, psychological and social impacts, so that victims of sexual trafficking often experience trauma even though they have been released from the trap of sexual trafficking. Forms of trauma faced by victims of sexual trafficking such as experiencing anxiety, feelings of guilt, loss of self-confidence and not infrequently experiencing symptoms of post-traumatic stress. Researchers also discussed the traumatic experiences experienced by victims of sexual trafficking. The existence of social support from the closest people such as family and friends, assistance from experts and professionals such as psychologists is considered able to reduce the trauma of victims of sexual trafficking

Abstract

This study delves into the dynamics of relationship satisfaction (RS) among married couples and its crucial significance for mental health and psychological well-being. Survey data encompassing variables such as the general mattering scale, gender inequality in Household Chores scale, kansas marital conflict scale, and relationship assessment scale were gathered from 128 married individuals aged 18 to 65 in urban areas of Malaysia and Indonesia. Participants furnished demographic information including age, gender, and marriage duration. The study variables were assessed through the scales mentioned earlier. The findings, derived from bootstrap analysis involving 5,000 samples at a 95% confidence interval, revealed that the extent of partners' involvement in household chores significantly predicted their perception of gender equality in domestic responsibilities. This perception, in turn, fostered an elevated sense of mattering, thereby contributing to heightened relationship satisfaction. Importantly, the general mattering scale served as a significant mediator in the relationship between partner's household involvement and relationship satisfaction. In summary, couples benefit from partners engaging in domestic chores, resulting in an enhanced sense of mutual significance, greater relationship satisfaction, and improved mental well-being. Marital conflict frequency and intensity did not emerge as significant factors in this relationship.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood, which is marked by dynamic individual development and makes adolescents classified as vulnerable individuals to experiencing mental illness. However, the data shows that teachers, as the closest environment for adolescent students at school, still lack knowledge regarding psychological issues and how to deal with them when they occur at school. This intervention aims to determine the effectiveness of Psychological First Aid (PFA) psychoeducation for teachers in dealing with depression in adolescents. This intervention was carried out on 22 teachers. Analysis of the pre-test and post-test using the paired sample t-test showed an increase in the mean score of the pre-test (M=10.05) and post-test (M=11.68). The results of the intervention show that providing PFA psychoeducation is effective in increasing teachers' knowledge and skills in dealing with adolescent depression complaints.

Abstract

Perkuliahan daring akibat adanya pandemi Covid-19 berpotensi memicu stres akademis pada mahasiswa. Penggunaan strategi regulasi emosi yang tepat dianggap dapat membantu mahasiswa untuk mereduksi stres akademis. Peneliti ingin mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai hubungan antara strategi regulasi emosi dengan stres akademis pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 285 mahasiswa Universitas Airlangga (237 perempuan dan 48 laki-laki) dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Peneliti menggunakan Student-life Stress Inventory untuk mengukur stres akademis dan Emotion Regulation Questionnaire untuk mengukur strategi regulasi emosi.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa p=0,477 untuk cognitive reappraisal dengan stres akademis dan p=0,249 untuk expressive suppression dengan stres akademis. Variabel dapat dikatakan saling berhubungan apabila nilai p<0,05 .Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara strategi regulasi emosi dengan stres akademis pada mahasiswa selama menjalani kuliah daring. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis penelitian ini ditolak.
