Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa SMK Negeri 18 Samarinda dan faktor-faktor penyebabnya. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI administrasi perkantoran SMK Negeri 18 Samarinda yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Sedangkan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kesalahan-kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan dan fungsi kuadrat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, tes tertulis yang terdiri dari 5 butir soal uraian, dan wawancara kepada siswa yang melakukan kesalahan. Teknik analisisi data yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan atau verifikasi.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan dan fungsi kuadrat siswa melakukan kesalahan berupa (1) kesalahan operasi sebesar 8%, (2) kesalahan perhitungan sebesar 5%, (3) kesalahan algoritma sebesar 59%, dan kesalahan jawaban sembarang sebesar 28%. Sedangkan penyebab terjadinya kesalahan tersebut, yaitu (1) tidak menguasai materi prasyarat, (2) tidak menguasai materi persamaan dan fungsi kuadrat, (3) siswa tidak teliti, dan (4) guru tidak selalu melakukan apresepsi saat pembelajaran.

Abstract

Multiplication is one of the operations of basic arithmetic which has an essential role in learning mathematics. But in fact there are still errors made by students in calculating multiplication operations. Therefore, this study aims to comprehensively identify students' errors in the concept of multiplication and provide recommendation learning designs in instilling or constructing the concept of multiplication. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects of this study were 34 students of class VII in one of the junior high schools in Samarinda City, East Kalimantan. The data that has been collected is analyzed through three processes, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there were still errors made by students in solving multiplication problems, including errors in understanding the concept of multiplication as an addition operation, errors in understanding the concept of multiplication as a combination of addition and multiplication operations, and difficulties in multiplying tens and hundreds operations.

Abstract

Samarinda sarong is a masterpiece or specal craft that lived in Samarinda city and one of the most icon from this city. This culture should be able to give attention to the people of Samarinda, because through education based on local wisdom it is able to grow the love of students to preserve the culture in which they live. This research purposed to find out junior high school geometry concept that found from activitiy crafter Samarinda sarong. The method that used in this research is qualitative research method with an ethnographic approach. Research data were collected using documentation techniques in one of the most procduction Cahaya Samarinda in RT.07 Tenun Village with research subject is Samarinda sarong and research object is geometry concept form junior high school. Data analysis was carried out by data collection, data reducting, presenting data after have reducted, making conclusions, and then presented in detail by linking supporting theories. Form explore result have found geometry concepts junior high school as lines, geometry shapes, symmetry, congruence, and similarity.

Abstract

When studying mathematics, many students consider mathematics to be a difficult subject because they see it as a close system that prioritizes standards of rigor, speed, and memory. Conventional learning methods might make students bored. Various model is needed to overcome this. One of which is the culture associated with learning mathematics, known as ethnomathematics. The purpose of this study was to explore the bead crafts of the Kenyah Dayak tribe, located in Kalimantan, Indonesia, that develop heritage motifs attributed to the concept of geometric transformations on rotation and dilatation. This type of research was qualitative research involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The subject of this study was bead craft in the local area and the object of this study was the concept of geometric transformation on rotation and dilatation that exists in the craft motifs of the beads made. The data obtained in this study provides insights into the various cultural objects that can be used for triggering mathematics thinking. Through this resource, students may understand geometric concepts such as rotation and dilation, applicable to the real context of their daily life.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the suitability of exponent function subject in high school specialization math book for grade 10 based on Bell’s criteria. The research method used in this research is descriptive research. The object of the research is the suitability of exponent function subject in high school specialization math book grade 10 from Yrama Widya, Erlangga, and Tiga Serangkai edition based on Bell’s criteria. The data collection technique in this study is non-test technique using questionnaire by providing a research instrument in the form of an analysis sheet of high school specialization math book for grade 10 based on Bell’s criteria. Data collection was conducted by 3 people, namely researcher and two math teacher in order to get valid data. Furthermore, the suitability of exponent function subject in high school specialization math book grade 10 from Yrama Widya edition based on Bell’s criteria is good and then from Erlangga and Tiga Serangkai edition is very good.

The research was conducted at Cahaya Samarinda production site in RT.07 Weaving Village with the research subject being the samarinda sarong and the object of research is the geometry transformation concept that is in the sarong motif made. Research data were collected using documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out by reducing, presenting, making conclusions, and then presented in detail by linking supporting theories. Form explore result have found geometry transformation concepts such as translation, reflection, rotation, dilatation and some compotitions that was happened.

Abstract

Learning resources are one of the aspects needed to support the learning process, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, the closest learning source to students is textbooks. Based on Permendiknas No. 2 of 2008 article 4(1), the textbooks used must meet the suitability for use based on the National Education Standards Agency. This study aims to describe the suitability of class VII mathematics textbooks used by students in Tenggarong Seberang District in terms of material aspects, namely material coverage, material accuracy, and skills. This type of research is a document/text study, the method used is the Miles and Huberman model and the validity of the data in this study was carried out by triangulation of sources and agreement percentage. The results showed that The criteria are very suitable for Mathematics textbooks SMP/MTs Class VII Revised Edition 2017, 2016 and 2014 published by the Center for Curriculum and Bookkeeping, Erlangga1), Erlangga2) with conformity indicators 19 indicators out of 24 indicators and reliability coefficient 0.91, as well as appropriate criteria for the Mathematics Assessment Book for SMP/MTs Class VII published by Erlangga with the suitability more than 14 suitability but less than 19 from 24 indicators and a reliability coefficient of 0.70.. In the sub-aspect of material coverage, the presentation of material in the Class VII SMP/MTs Mathematics books published by Erlangga1) and Erlangga2) and the Class VII SMP/MTs Mathematics Assessment Books published by Erlangga has not used a scientific approach. In the sub-aspects of material accuracy and skills, in the Mathematics Assessment Book for SMP/MTs Class VII published by Erlangga, there are items that are not in accordance with the material presented, and there are no activities that can specifically develop aspects of student skills.

Abstract

Literasi numerasi merupakan slah satu kompetensi esensial yang harus dimiliki oleh guru untuk mendukung keberhasilan siswa dalam pembelajaran dan kompetisi akademik, termasuk Olimpiade Sains Nasional (OSN). Namun, rendahnya kompetensi ini di kalangan guru SD sering menjadi hambatan dalam pembinaan siswa. Program pelatihan literasi numerasi yang dilaksanakan selama dua hari di Kecamatan Muara Badak, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru melalui metode ceramah, praktik, dan diskusi partisipatif. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam menyelesaikan soal berbasis HOTS serta antusiasme tinggi untuk memperdalam strategi pembinaan siswa. Meski demikian, durasi pelatihan dirasakan masih kurang, sehingga diperlukan keberlanjutan melalui diskusi daring di grup WhatsApp. Program ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif yang berkelanjutan bagi guru dan siswa, khususnya dalam konteks pembelajaran numerasi dan persiapan OSN.
